Funny / hololive - Gawr Gura Ch.

Go To

Gura tends to be known for a few things: her snappy comebacks and snarky moments, her vast knowledge of meme material and when to use it, and her tendency to jinx herself at the most optimal moments. Needless to say, Hilarity Ensues.

  • On the day of their announcement, the members of hololive -Myth- started their Twitter accounts to engage with the fans and their peers. Gura's first tweet, however, simply read "a". Many were baffled; Calli replied "Based."
  • Gura's debut stream was delayed by 15 minutes due to internet issues. After frenzied panicking on chat, viewers were finally treated to a loading screen. Gura then appeared, in complete silence. She looked around for a few seconds, opened her mouth, and then spoke: "a". Cut to the loading screen again.
    • On New Year's 2021, Mio, as well as hololive couples Flare & Noel, Botan & Lamy, and Kiara & Calli had the chance to react to it as well. They were equally amused.
Flare: Is it possible to be that cute just by saying "a"?
  • While playing Dark Deception, Gura makes a habit of commenting "banana" each time she passes by a picture of one. Hilarity Ensues when she throws autotune into the mix, and at one point she comments "banana" while in the middle of screaming. See the "banana" moments here.
Gura: [gets a Jump Scare from the monkey chasing her] GYAAAH! AAAAAAAH! LOOK WHERE YOU'RE GOING, GURA—banana!WAAAAAH!
  • During her second Dark Deception stream, Marine shows up in the chat. Gura notices, and greets her with several "Ahoy!"s, and asks her how she's doing. Several minutes later, she gets a response...
Gura: I'm hungry. Is anybody else hungry?
    Marine: [in chat] I'm horny
Gura: I hear my stomach. [notices Marine's message, starts laughing] Senchou.
    [Beat]
Gura: Marine, everybody! [starts clapping] She said the thing! Quick, ma, get the camera, she said the thing.
    • Made more hilarious by the fact that she had mistaken the Golden Watchers for pirates earlier, and referenced Marine as a joke.
    • Also during the stream, during the second half of Deadly Decadence, Gura reads a sign:
Gura: Divine judgement falls on peasants through cheese halls. note
[starts walking away, realises that makes no sense, walks back to re-read it]
Gura: Divine judgement falls on peasants through cheese halls, okay.
  • On Gura's second solo Minecraft stream:
    • She had set out to build an Enchanting table. Over the course of 3 hours, she ended up dying roughly 8 times and losing a ton of resources, ending her session in complete frustration that all she had managed to do was build and place a single door. The highlights can be seen here.
    • Along the way, she receives a call for help from Amelia, who also happened to be playing at the time. Gura tries to get to her with extra food, but gets ambushed by a skeleton archer and falls to her death. After a failed rescue attempt, Ame just asks Gura for the coordinates of her position so that she can return to familiar ground by herself. Ame finally rescues herself, at low health and hunger, only to realize that Gura is empty-handed. Gura tries to slink away.
      [Gura falls to her death]
      <amwatson>: ...
      <GauGura>: MINOR SETBACK
    • While searching for Ame, she periodically blurts out "Ame~!" with an echo effect, as if she's trying to use echolocation.
    • The tunnel labeled "Watson's Shaft".
    • The moment she realizes she's trying to smelt gold in a smoker is especially notable, mostly because she catches on and knows exactly how the chat is going to react.
Gura: ...don't bully me for that. I can already hear you typing, stop. Hit the backspace, hit the delete button, don't even finish that. DON'T EVEN FINISH IT! You're finishing it anyway! "Dat's a smoker, Gura! Dat's a smokeeeeer!" Listen, I have died four times. I have died four times. I am... You know what, it's okay.
    • Near the end of the stream, Gura mentions that she's safe at home; indeed, after dying several times and losing a fair amount of her resources, it seems like at Ame's house she can finally have a bit of peace. Cue a Pillager attack.
Gura: [quiet gasp] Are you f... [pounds on desk] Are you fucking KIDDING me?!! [agitated squeal] AAAAAAH, the timing, THE TIIIMIIIIIIINNNNNNI'm logging off.
    • After she dies due to being shot by them:
Gura: Alright, what did we lose this time, guys?
    • Gura looks through her inventory and spots her character with two arrows in it.
Gura: Look, they got an arrow in each buttcheek. Nice shot, gentlemen.
    • Gura sees Ame with an arrow sticking out of her, practically mirroring an insert-type Asacoco.
      Gura: Ouch.
  • During a Q&A stream, someone asks her if she had to fight her siblings in mom's womb (something several shark species do, complete with cannibalism and only one shark born). Gura just says she doesn't remember a thing, but it's otherwise true. What pushes this to funny is the chat taking this as proof of gaming skill, for the first thing she did in her life was win a Battle Royale.
  • Gura thinks The Wraith from Dead By Daylight is adorable, and calls him Bing Bong.
  • Gura plays Protein for Muscle, a Slender-like game. She actually gets really terrified of the chasers (said models being really shiny, having glowing nipples, and just looking uncanny in general) that chase her and lets out several impressive screams.
    • What's even funnier is she ends the stream to play Phasmophobia, which became an unplanned collab stream after Amelia joins mid-stream.
  • Gura pranks Amelia and Kiara in Minecraft.
    • With a huge collection of eggs as a gift from Kiara, Gura decides to fling them all into a side room in Kiara's KFP restaurant, leading to a lot of chickens cooped up in that small room. When Kiara starts to catch wind of what Gura's up to, and Gura says she's touring the newly-constructed building.
Kiara: Gura what did you do in my restuarant
Gura: What did I do? I was admiring it! I missed your stream, so I was going to admiring it! I really like the colors. Yes, colors.
      Kiara: Seems legit
      • A few days later, Ina swings by to confirm that the chickens are still there, but also gets visited by a couple of Zombies... and a Creeper. One explosion later, and a panicked Ina is scrambling to guide the chickens back into their coop and to seal the hole.
    • Gura enhances a pixel-art of Amelia, giving it huge boobs. To review her work, she creates a long note  narrow dirt platform... extending from the structure's waist. When she realizes what she's done, she can barely contain her laughter each time she pans up to the dirt platform. She eventually decides to remove the platform... after she's done making the boobs as large as she can. The dirt platform would be remembered by the audience as "the ground pounder" or "Watson's shaft".
Gura: [while removing the platform] God, this thing is big! Why did I make it so long?!
      • Bear in mind that this was after Ame had attempted giving the statue breasts by herself before deleting them, saying they looked ugly. Gura added breasts that are much bigger than the prototype.
      • The thumbnail for one of Amelia's subsequent Minecraft streams was a piece of fanart based on the incident, featuring a giant Ame standing in the same pose as the statue with a smug smile on her face, with a small Gura standing on a dirt platform emerging from under Ame's skirt.
      • Also funny was a moment earlier on when she had been working on one of the statue's breasts for a while, and promptly corpsed upon noticing how it looked.
Gura: [looking down as she places dirt blocks to create a platform to stand on] We're scaling a very large historical Holo EN [looks up at her work] monume-heent! [starts laughing]
      • The joke would return months later when Mumei logs into the EN server, gets lost a little, and ends up using the floating Amelia statue to help her get her bearings. She takes a while to notice the enormous breasts and loses it when it hits her.
  • Gura fails to notice an NPC doing something questionable in Outlast: Whistleblower. She even passes said NPC multiple times before realizing why the chat was advising her to censor something (Warning: possibly NSFW).
Gura: I see... [nervous laughter on realisation] ...He's tightening his belt. Yes... It's those... those goshdarn fabric belts and their... ever loosening buckles!
  • Gura came across Haachama's room on the Hololive EN Minecraft server, and decided to prank her by filling it with chickens. Haachama, a veteran of the JP server - where pranks involve injuring people, killing people, vandalizing their projects, destroying their projects, and gaslighting them - finds them adorable, and when her chat tells her Gura is responsible, she immediately assumes they were a present, eventually giving Gura several diamonds as a thank-you.
  • Gura's ditziness with numbers has led to some interesting struggles in Minecraft. When she got the suggestion to plant a tree in a "2 by 2" formation, she tried 2×4, 2×5, before succeeding in a 2×1 formation. In a later stream, She got the suggestion for a 2×2 water source. When she gets it right quickly, the chat celebrates her progress. And then she briefly goes back to being not good with numbers.
    Gura: What's 9 times 9? 9 times 9 is 36...
  • While playing Superliminal, Gura finds a way to the upper rim of a room. She gets spooked by interacting with a pawn piece... and then slips through an unexpected gap and falls into the void.
Gura: I decided to choose this game because I thought it was a nice relaxing experience.
    [falls out of the level]
Amelia (in chat): UM... ?????????? gura...
Gura: [hums an awkward tune] I didn't mean to break it!
    • During the same stream, Gura finds a podium and makes the following inspiring speech:
Gura: I would like to announce that the lamps on the ceiling look like boobies.
  • While playing Ring Fit Adventure, she has little respect for Dragaux, comparing him to an arrogant gym bro.
Dragaux: Fine. Whatever. I don't even care. But if you or anyone else gets in the way of my training, I'll pound them into the ground!
Gura: ...it's Amelia! Amelia is Dragaux? I Knew It!
  • During a Minecraft stream running in parallel with Amelia's own, Gura succumbs to some special misfortune while trying to hunt for a Trident:
    • She finds a Jukebox labelled "PLAY ME" and a music disc labelled "Amelia's Mixtape". She plays it, only to learn it's "Music Disc - 11".
    • While trying to trap Drowned, she gets ambushed by a pack of Zombies, and ends up digging herself into a hole to escape. When she thinks she's ready to take on the pack, she gets backed into a corner, making her hideout her own tomb. She shamefully adds to her death counter after respawning.
    • While taking a ride to the mob spawner, she bumps into Watson going the opposite direction. Their carts collide, but Gura's sent careening in reverse. She clambers out and spends some time chasing down her cart as it keeps sailing along the tracks.
    • Gura then decides to try and snipe Amelia along the rail. She attempted three times, all of which missed. Eventually, Amelia returns to work on her mob spawner, and Gura makes one last shot. Immediately after failing a shot, she gets blown up by a Creeper. Both parties individually commented that it's "instant karma". Gura, having realized that she's taken her bed and thus forced to the world spawn point, panics and yells for Amelia to look after her scattered belongings, including her Loyalty III book which was the most valuable thing she got that stream.
  • During her second Passpartout stream, one of Gura's paintings is of Bruce Willis as a catgirl.
  • Gura held a stream where she made Gurandma's Soft Sugar Cookies. The stream itself was nothing more than Gura on the screen, but the comedy lay in the imagination of the sheer chaos and outright fun she's having while blasting the mixer on high to mix cookie dough, banging on pots and pans, ground pounding the dough in place of a roller, and the implication that she's prepping to cook Bloop as well. The chat was howling to her reaction to drinking an excess of water in the bowl when she was mixing in sugar to make frosting, and huffing powdered sugar. She likened her undercooked first batch of cookies to playdoh.
    • Gura's subsequent Meatloaf cooking stream is also just as chaotic. At one point, Gura realises she spelt meatloaf as "meatload" in the stream background screen and true to the title ("[LET'S COOK] ...MEATLOAF... asmr"), the viewers are treated to some interesting sounds as she is making the mashed potato. Gura also takes a bite out of a raw onion during the stream and regrets it.
  • During her Red Dead Redemption II playthrough, one time she visited an inn to take a bath, and as she is about to leave she heard some weird noises upstairs. She goes upstairs to check it out and from a locked door, intense lovemaking noises are heard. Gura had gone silent upon finding it out and stayed silent until she left the inn.
  • During a Visage stream, Gura comes across a closet with a shotgun. She gets very excited, thinking it was a weapon she can use to defend herself. This is cemented by some Heavy Metal music playing as she picks it up, only to be trolled by a "POW" flag emerging when the trigger is pulled.
  • At one point during her 2,000,000-subscriber celebration stream, she started channeling Hulk Hogan before nervously trying to deny it by acting like a Deliberately Cute Child, complete with exaggerated high-pitched Token Mini-Moe voice.
  • During a mini karaoke event that served to advertise Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Gura had enough time for an encore song. The chat was requesting "Ahoy", and Gura typed it into the setlist before deleting it and telling the chat that Enma told her no. After what Gura says next, the chat just completely loses it with laughter.
Gura: Manager-san has given me the Bonk steeck! BONK! Ehh Bonka de shark.
    [...]
[laughs to herself] I just got bonked live on stream. "No, bad shark. BONK!" [chuckles]
  • Luigi's Mansion 3:
    • Gura makes a comment with really naughty implications when a ghost maid swallows a suitcase and gets stuck in the wall for a moment during a short cutscene note . Gura later admits she did it for the memes after a guilty giggle.
      Gura: Stepbrother help!
    • It took her 40 minutes to defeat Johnny Deepend, a boss that frustrated her to no end. When she was able to finally drain the pool, she took her sweet time at the now-stuck boss to get her revenge by sucking up dodgeballs and slamming them into his head over and over again. Unfortunately, this gave Johnny enough time to shave off her few remaining HP, resulting in a Game Over.
    • She doesn't take it well when a team of tracksuit-wearing dancing Mooks do a dab during their opening cutscene.
Gura: Oh god... oh god. I think I need to... I need to go. Yeah. Sorry. I'm just gonna go stretch my legs real quick.
    • Gura gets so frustrated that she lets out an incredibly high-pitched Precision F-Strike in exasperation.
    • Gura enters a desert-themed room and says that seeing all the sand makes her want to suck it all up. She then spends the next 20 minutes vacuuming the entire room.
  • Gura was reading a Superchat at the end of her Valentine's Cake Bake stream that made yet another flat joke at her expense. The chat was howling at how bad she roasted them back.
Superchat: You don't need to use a cutting board, Gura. Just use your chest. Modern times call for modern solutions.
Gura: YEAH!~ And modern times call for MODERN JOKES!
    Chat: LMAO GOT 'EM!
  • Gura's February 16, 2021 playthrough of Papers, Please was a blessed mix of schadenfreude and Gura being Gura playing a game that is harshly unforgiving. At least Gura gets in on it.
    Gura: GLORY TO GAWRSTOTZKA!~
    • Her first stream showed her struggling with the game's mechanics and pacing, but having fun with the idea of playing a border inspector. However, things took a turn when Jorji first shows up at the desk and Gura hadn't yet fully grasped how to use the inspect mode. For the next literal 5 minutes, she tries to figure out what to do to send Jorji on his way despite the printer giving her a note telling her to do it note . She tries to stamp the audio transcript, then she starts to look at the rulebook in all the wrong places, when she finally does get the right page she keeps trying to inspect the rules against Jorji himself and not the desk. The chat descends into mad hysterics trying to tell her what to do, and when she finally understands them pointing out the desk...
Gura: What's the desk going to do for me, it's a DESK!
    • During her second playthrough, she starts the day with the introduction of M. Vonel of the Ministry of Information, who hands her a badge that shows "MOI" abbreviated many times.
Gura: MOI... MOI... MOE MOE KYUN! [gasps] He works at a maid cafe!
    • Gura discovered that her own audio software has a megaphone filter, which she uses with gusto in between immigrants. The chat exploded because now she sounded like the speaker phone in the game. During her next playthrough, the use of the megaphone filter was accompanied by a bullhorn next to her avatar.
Gura: Ladies and gentlemen of Gawrstotzka, we've got our first detainee, can I get a "Hell yeah"?!
    • One immigrant gave Gura a watch to hang onto in exchange for letting him in without proper clearance. Gura was already up to her last citation without penalty, so she detained him and sold the watch. The chat was laughing so hard while calling her cold, savage, and corrupt.
    • At one point, Gura misread the name of an NPC named "Makhno" as "manko" translation . Predictably, the chat had a field day, including Calli, who happened to be watching.
      Calli: 8}
  • Gura and Calli hosted a collab to play Minecraft, but Calli lost connection after a few minutes. While patiently waiting for her to come back, Gura decided to be productive and started vacuuming her room. The chat was left on her loading screen and got to listen to her goofy self singing about vacuuming. Due to technical difficulties, the stream had to be cancelled, so she left the stream running while vacuuming more.
Gura: Okay, stream over. [vacuum noises] You can leave now. [more vacuuming noises] Bye. [even more vacuuming noises]
  • While playing the Rhythm Game Project Diva Mega Mix, Gura decides to show some Fanservice provided by previewing Meiko's model with a bikini on the screen. She silently shows off the Jiggle Physics before giggling and quickly moves on.
Gura: I have to show you something after this. You'll like it. YouTube won't.
Gura: [after showing the Meiko model] YouTube you didn't see that! Okay YouTube you can open your eyes now. It's fine. I didn't do anything! I'm good shark!
  • During the rescheduled Minecraft collab with Calli:
    • The chat found the pinned message to behave to be too funny to take seriously:
Pinned Message: Hello, I am your automated message-shark. Read the rules and follow them or prepare to be punted like a football.
    • Calli accidentally unleashed an F-bomb while Gura was discussing her past as a theater reaper in high school. How Gura followed up was unexpected, to say the least.
Gura: Romeo, oh Romeo, how shall I slic-scythe you today?
Calli: Yeah, exactly, how shall I cut your fucking throat?
Gura: [laughs] Careful, YouTube is listening.
Calli: Oh, you're right, the children are here, excuse me!
Gura: No, not the children. Screw the kids! I'm talking about YouTube. Sorry, kiddies!
  • During the stream where Gura reacted to her debut stream, she used her past self to make fun of humans only living to about 80 years old, and also apparently confirmed a Running Gag fan joke about her Little Bit Beastly biology to be canon.
Gura (video): [talking about how she's over 9,000 years old] But I wouldn't expect humans to understand that. What do you guys live to? 80?
Gura: "What do you guys live to, like 85?" 85?! That's like, diaper age! Diaper age! 85, 95, lucky, lucky, to hit a hundred? You wouldn't survive a day back in Atlantis. You know what, people? People, shark [sic] that age, we're still eating each other in the womb at that age.
    • Also during the stream, Gura mocks her past self's intelligence regarding her aforementioned Little Bit Beastly nature and her seeming loss of innocence as time went on.
Gura (video): Is that what humans say?
Gura: [spluttering laugh] You are half-human, you stupid fish!!
Gura (video): [in a cute manner] Domo! Same desu! translation
Gura: [in disbelief] I was so cute! It's only been 6 months! What the heck happened?!
    • Throughout the stream, Gura kept cringing and criticizing her past self for pretending to be an overly cute ditz.
Gura (video): How do you spell "stomach"?
Gura: What kind of stupid are you? Really? [debut Gura writes down "stomak"; current-day Gura speaks with a voice completely devoid of joy] Look at this. She's pretending to not know how to spell "stomach". Unbelievable, she can't even spell "stomach" right? She's pretending to be dumb. She's pretending to be a baby.
    • After debut-day Gura explained that she was from "the lost city of Atlantis":
Gura: I'm having a good time.
Gura (video): Wait, does anyone have any questions about Atlantis? Maybe I can answer one or two.
      Gura: No, you can't.
Gura (video): You know what Atlantis is?
Gura: It's a city, you just said-
Gura (video): Have you heard of Atlantis?
Gura: Yes, you just implied that they had already heard about Atlantis.
Gura (video): You've heard of Atlantis?! [exaggerated gasp] Have you ever been?
Gura: [pauses the video for a few seconds, audibly cringes] ...okay, keep going, shark.
Gura (video): Have you ever been to Atlantis? Oh my gosh, we have so much to talk about, I don't think we have time for all this discussion we must have. Discussion we must have! Shaaark!
Gura: [mockingly, exaggerated high pitch] "Shaaark!" ...shut up.
    • When debut-day Gura talks about how she would like to play Twister with her genmates, present-day Gura agrees and says she would still like to do that, only for her past self to ruin the moment by talking about "being entangled in a big leg arm monster mess".
Gura: [to the tune of McDonald's' "I'm lovin' it" jingle] Buh-duh-puh-puh-puh, bottom left!
    • When debut-day Gura is talking about her art hashtag and fan name and asking for other suggestions, present-day Gura starts snickering so hard she has to pause the video when she notices that someone in the debut-day chat had suggested "#shart". explanation
    • All in all, one Redditor created a short yet decent summary of the entire stream:
(How it started) Debut Gura: a
(How it's going) 6-month-anniversary Gura: AAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAA- OH MY GOD!
  • During her March 4, 2021 stream of Papers, Please, Day 26 has her scream in a panic when a terrorist grenade kills Sergiu, forcing her to redo the day in order to save him as she refused to let him die. One user in the chat then tells her to stop screaming. Gura's answer?
Gura: Screw you! It's my stream!
  • Gura looks up a meme of corrupted restaurant logos and slogans, including:
    • Sbubby: Eef Freef note
    • Donkin' Dunnts: Amurica Runn No Dundun note
    • Weedy's: Old Fashioned Hurgusburgus note
    • Bubger Kirg: Have It In a Way note
    • Taco Baco: Tinkle Outside the Binkle note
    • Applebabble's: Nehhborhor Grib & Bib note
    • Inoot-Ut Brubge note
    • McNaldo's: I Like the It note
    • A&A: AAAAAAA note
  • Gura plays Super Metroid for the first time. In Brinstar, she gets stuck at a jump and spends a while trying to clear it. A chat comment called it "game journalist gameplay", causing Gura to laugh and impersonate an incompetent game jounalist.
  • At the start of a membershrimp chat session, Gura asked the chat if they knew the difference between "ahoge" and "ahegao". The chat completely lost it and started flooding with "LEWD" and the GuraMM emoticon.
  • During her DJMAX Respect stream, she takes a shot at "NB Ranger", the first in a series of songs about the eponymous NB Rangers, an Affectionate Parody of Super Sentai. At one point, she gets distracted by the NB Rangers' Transformation Sequence:
Gura: Where's your shirrrrrt? Why are you naked!?
[NB Green's bare ass shows up on screen for a few seconds, with Gura screaming at it and promptly failing the song]
Gura: Maybe this is for the better. Maybe that's for the better. I saw cheeks! [laughs] I SAW CHEEKS!
  • A cross promotion between Hololive and BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! meant that Gura had a special "Gawr Boost Drink" item put into the game, or as Gura describes it: "Fresh-squeezed shark juice."
  • During one of Gura's chat streams, someone superchatted that their dog just died and the stream helped them get over it. Although there were no rules against such things, bringing up personal emotional stuff is certain to put the streamer on the spot and bring down the overall mood, and is generally frowned upon. Then, a silly red superchat showed up, deliberately invoking Mood Whiplash to offset what just happened.
    "My dog died LET'S GOOOOOOO"
  • While playing Resident Evil 2 (Remake), Gura defeated William Birkin and watched a cutscene where Ada Wong revealed her true intentions. She then gets shot through the shoulder, and Leon grabs her hand to try and prevent her from falling into the abyss below. The chat was spamming the Sad Gura emote, and Gura herself switched over to her sad appearance as she watched Ada fall.
    Gura: [sad shark] Oh...
[happy shark] You think Claire's busy?
    • During the Superchat-reading part of the stream, she prepares chocolate milk and strawberry cream and mentions that "[The bottle] has got a nipple on it so I could just suckle off it if I really wanted to..." The chat goes wild at her choice of words and she then justifies it by saying how the nipple is the "apex shape for drinking from" before alternate names such as "nozzle" and "spout" could be used.
    • Her reaction to Mr. X's first appearance? She bolts the fuck out of there.
    • She discovers midway through that her stream got age-restricted live - which may or may not have been the result of her repeatedly reading off in-game swear words, or the game's violent content. Either way, she isn't surprised.
Gura: ...Oh, nice, we got age-restricted?! [beat] No kiddies allowed! Kiddies, keep out. Time for Fortnite. No children allowed, get out. Get ouuuuuut.
  • Gura titled her third Monster Hunter: Rise stream "meat spin lol", and if you know what that means then you're quite the internet veteran. In a later Superchat reading, she was informed that her title ended up cursing the search histories of the audience, and that it would be in her best interest to change the video's title. Apparently, the title was coincidental and innocent, but her attitude overall suggests she knew what it meant and is merely playing innocent.
    • During one of her Monster Hunter streams, Gura started playing around with her avatar, achieving results such as enlarging her mouth, enlarging her pigtails to look like twintails, giving herself a third eye, and revealing her long-awaited bottom teeth.
  • Devil May Cry 5 has a few moments of nudity that are generally covered up with a Lens Flare Censor. All the same, Gura was quick to censor the entire stream... except when she accidentally uncovers too quickly and shows Lady's still-censored butt for a split second. The chat had fun with that.
    • Gura's reaction to Dante's Michael Jackson dance scene.
Gura: [heavy breathing, table slapping, intense squeeing]
    • And then there's her unlocking the Cavaliere and going completely ham with it.
Gura: I promise I'll use the other weapon too!.....Maybe!...I actually can't make any promises!
    • Gura's lack of knowledge on the series' lore is made humorously obvious at the end of Mission 18. As soon as Vergil makes his first appearance in the mission's ending cutscene, she outright laughs at the fact the game calls "The Alpha and The Omega" and wields a katana. After a chat member says that Vergil "sounds like a nerd", Gura immediately starts paraphrasing the "I Studied the Blade" meme.
    • After clearing the game, Gura says she suspected that Nero and Dante were related because they both had long coats and white hair. Chat points out that Gura herself wears a long coat:
Gura: Yeah, well, at least I don't have white ha-... oh. Oh no. Ya be. [...] Dante is Gura's dad? That would be cool! [...] I'd get to beat up Nero then. Smack 'im around with my trident! That means I would have a demon mode, right?
    • She also likes how everyone in the chat suddenly becomes a "meteorologist" when she's playing DMC5, referencing how DMC fans love to say "I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING!"
  • In the Superchat-reading segment of a Super Metroid stream, she engages in a weenus-measuring contest with her chumbuds. Explanation
  • Gura held a [BATHTUB PIZZA] Q&A stream where she recreated the Ascended Meme from "This isn't a beach, this is a bathtub!", even dressing up the Membershrimp as the lifeguard on the bathtub's edge.
  • Her playthrough of Smol Ame has her use the newly-added Gura avatar, though this doesn't do much to save her from the Nintendo Hard nature of the game. So much for skipping Jump King thinking Smol Ame would be less frustrating. Things also get muddy when her exasperated sighs blend in with the game's sound clips.
    • When going through Pekoland, Gura tries to imitate Pekora's Signature Laugh, but simply can't do it. At one point, she also gets spawn killed by one of the arrows. Once she gets to final stretch of the stage, she muses that staying in Pekoland forever wouldn't be so bad, only to get pressed into reaching the finish line as multiple Pekora arrows rain down on her at an increasingly faster pace.
    • Depth perception proves to be her worst enemy when moving on to the Moona stage; there she gets so tilted by the amount of gravity mishaps that she decides to abandon the level (though she later completes it) and try Korone's stage instead. Big mistake; Korone's stage turns out to be excruciatingly hard, what with the complete randomness of the dog's collision physics (as well as the need to ride on it). It took her a whopping 31 minutes to complete Korone's stage.
    • On the final stretch of the Okayu stage, Gura is thoroughly distracted by the looping "Mogu Mogu" lyrics from Okayu's original song, never mind the fact that she has to outrun a giant Okayu sprite.
Gura: Sorry, Ame. Ame, forgive me, I can't save Bubba. I'm being chased by a hungry kitty!
    • Upon entering the "NOTHING" stage, Gura immediately gets addicted to the soundtrack and starts vibing to the rave music, deaths notwithstanding.
  • Gura played through Friday Night Funkin', and she had a pretty good grasp of the game, getting through each level on Hard difficulty. After finishing Week 3, she flaunted her strength as the chat went "Pain Pico". Then she played Week 4, and got trounced by MILF.
[MILF starts with a heavy bass]
Gura: Well, it's been nice knowing everyone.
  • During her unarchived [CAMPFIRE SINGING] karaoke stream, she unintentionally segued into singing about 30 seconds of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now". As soon as she realized it was a Queen song, she immediately stopped. Cue the Oh, Crap! moment.
  • At the end of Gura's new outfit reveal, someone comments that she still doesn't have bottom teeth.
  • During her "hello everynyan" Minecraft stream, Gura reveals that she's still upset over Kiara calling her a fake cat the day before in the Pummel Party collab.
Gura: Kiara called me a fake cat yesterday! Like, Gawd, Kiara, let me live my fantasy, jeez! ... I love you, Kiara.
  • During her Resident Evil Village stream, Gura is already on edge trying to look for items and avoid the enemies in a ravaged village. She ends up scaring herself after accidentally firing a pistol round at a gate and swears after doing so.
    • Later, Gura gets scared again by another incoming enemy and procedes to swear repeatedly in a very frightened high-pitched voice while running away.
      Gura: [high-pitched Motor Mouth] Whoathatscaredtheshitoutofmeohfuck!
    • She taunts Lady Dimitrescu from the doorway of Duke's saferoom, moving back and forth to say that she can't be touched. Then she triggers a full attack animation that goes right through the door.
    • Another unfortunate run-in with Dimitrescu happens when Gura goes through a door, turns a corner, and runs into the vampire from behind: this being Dimitrescu, this essentially means Gura all but faceplants right into her ass.
    • She declares the bit NPC Elena to be her wife just a few minutes before she dies in a fire.
    • At one point, she mangles her pronounciation of Dimitrescu as "Dimmadome".
    • Near the end of the game when she gets to the part where you control Chris Redfield:
Gura: Welcome to my Let's Play of Warzone!
  • While playing Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, she ends up unlocking Easy Mode by dying to a door, of all things. Gura is flabbergasted by the whole thing.
    • When facing Nevan, she tries (and fails) to cover her up with a large shrimp.
  • While playing Subnautica: Below Zero, Gura advanced enough to create a seatruck that let her swim around the ocean at fast speeds. The repeated [THUNK] noises made while hitting any fish in her way sent the chat into a long giggle fit, and Gura herself got a chuckle out of it as well.
  • While reading Superchats, she gets one asking about her density and how far she could be thrown with a catapult or trebuchet. She sincerely answers that she's not very dense and thinks she can go about "half a football field". Eventually it hits her that it was a Stealth Insult, realizes she got tricked, and applauds the user, conceding that she is "very dense" after all.
  • Gura learns about the Solid Snake Is Dummy Thicc meme. Then does it in different styles: a Snake impression, her normal voice, and an "ara ara onee-san" voice (which made her corpse several times).
  • Gura's stream of the Henry Stickmin Series is this in general, but a particularly meta bit of humor stems from Gura claiming early on she won't be seeing what every choice does. She holds to it through two fails in Breaking the Bank before she changes her mind.
    • When trying to sneak past the meeting room in the Toppat airship, one of the choices she's presented with is glue, which makes a brief squirting sound whenever it's moused over. She repeatedly mouses over it, and chat catches onto the innuendo and reacts accordingly.
    • Her reactions to some of the fails also count, but her reaction to the distraction dance in particular is amusing because Gura plays the fail twice. She starts bouncing along in time to the music both times in spite of herself.
  • During Gura's collab stream with Amashiro Natsuki (her character designer), the latter asked Gura if she really ate a pizza she dropped in the bathtub, a Call-Back to an earlier stream where Gura claimed to have done just that. Gura could only sheepishly reply with "Hai..." ("Yes") and try to justify it by claiming that the pizza was delicious.
    • During another part of the stream, Natsuki called Gura "pettan" (flat-chested). Realizing that she couldn't argue against what is essentially Word of God, Gura instead claimed that Natsuki is the only one who's allowed to call her that.
  • In her cake baking stream, she asks chat what she should write on it. They tell her to put "FEET". She does.
  • During her 2021 birthday call-in stream, Calli wanted to confirm how Gura's cake tasted because she kept imagining that it tasted like feet.
Gura: You know what feet taste like?!
Calli: Um... Uh... Anyway, let's maybe forget that I asked that question.
    • When Gura shows off that one of her birthday goods is a postcard with an illustration of her in a bikini, someone in the chat comments "Nice pads". Gura's reaction is to confirm that yes, she does use pads, and then (humorously) chew them out for calling attention to it.
  • When Vergil's and Dante's voice actors leave a message for Gura's birthday, they both makes Gura Squee, but Dan Southworth leaves his on a rather cryptic note, making Gura incredibly confused.
Dan Southworth: Well then, apex predator from Atlantis. This is power...
    Gura: What kind of power?
    Dan: [cuts off]
Gura: Huh?! What's power? WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S POWER?! Get back here, stinky!
  • During her post-song release chat stream, she calls out to Calli about the canteloupes she planted and shares to her about their growth progress in the most innuendo-laden manner possible. Starting with them being named "Mori Melons".
  • During Gura's stream where she talked about Reflect, she mentioned having seen people on Twitter say that when she's speaking Greek at the end of the song, it sounds like she says "Among Us" (Ουδέν κακόν αμιγές καλού/Oudén kakón amigés kaloú).
  • During her July 3, 2021 Dead by Daylight stream, when talking about her upcoming Nendoroid figure, Gura took the promotional image of it that she had and placed it inside the "Chum Jar" graphic she has sitting on the table next to her. Fans were quick to conclude that she knows exactly what she's doing. If you don't, consider yourself lucky.
  • Gura went into the Minecraft pixel art building stream with Kiara having barely eaten anything, thinking it'll be quick and easy. Unfortunately for her, it turned out to be an almost seven-hour marathon. Cue Gura growing increasingly unhinged as the hours progress, ending in what can only be described as a state of drunkenness induced by low blood sugar, constantly alternating between a complete daze, happily humming little songs, parroting Kiara's every word, and Suddenly Shouting, much to the amusement of the phoenix and the audience.
  • Playing the Bowser's Fury expansion of Super Mario 3D World, she runs into Plessie again. She hops on him and sings "Deja Vu, I've been on this Plessie before." However, it sounded like she's singing "pussy". Cue the chat losing their minds and Gura trying to claim she's seiso.
    • Making copies of her avatar when she reaches Double Cherry Pass in the main game. Even doubling her voice at one point.
  • Gura playing Assetto Corsa has a moment where Gura opts to try a McLaren MP4-12C GT3, despite the chat warning her it's probably above her current skill level to handle, being one of the fastest vehicles in the base game, with the only non-DLC car faster than that being the legendary Mazda 787B of Group C fame. Cue her peeling out of the pit lane, go off the track at the first corner, and then richochet off the track wall and into a barrier before coming to a stop. The first words out of her mouth when she gets her composure back is to demand "Why didn't you tell me that it was that fast?", which led to the obvious response from chat.
  • As part of her own fall penalties while playing Jump King, Gura had to prank call one of the EN members. Calli couldn't pick up the phone, but Ina played along and had a good laugh. Gura was too nervous to pick up that Ina was the one who turned the prank against her.
Gura: Hello, ma'am, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Lightning McQueen?
    • How did Ina turn the prank back on Gura? By asking if Lightning McQueen is in Kingdom Hearts.
Gura: Video games such as Cars: The Video Game, Cars: Radiator Springs- it doesn't say Kingdom Hearts itdoesnsaykingd—! Such as King—such as [long pause] TSUM TSUM?!
    • The moment was so glorious it got animated by 2Snacks. There, Ina is not only wearing a Mickey head, but has a Keyblade. Just as Gura is running is out of things to hype up about Lightning, Ina's voice turns more into Mickey and Gura pulls an I Need to Go Iron My Dog. Ina asks her to close the door on the way out... and then Korone sticks her head out wearing a Goofy head, prompting Gura to bolt.
  • While playing One Hand Clapping, Gura casually revealed she got a cat during her break as it started knocking stuff down her shelves. Chat started going crazy and Gura admitted she forgot to talk about it, then quickly changes topics and does not elaborate further.
  • While playing Bus Driver Simulator 18, Gura became surprised when the game wouldn't let her enter "BUS SN" ("Bussin'") as her license plate note . She then tried to enter "BUS SY" ("Bussy", which she claimed was a reference to the "Sussy baka" Among Us meme), which likewise got rejected, which lead Gura to assume that the game for some reason considered the term "bus" offensive. When chat later asked her if she knew what "bussy" means, she looked it up, and was shocked to find out about the word's significantly more NSFW meaning note , similar to the earlier "meatload" and "meat spin" incidents.
    • She also had a laugh when she saw the Euro sign (€), claiming that "it looks like a half-eaten hamburger".
    • Later, when Gura returned to the bus garage after what she thought was a relatively successful play session:
      Gura: Show me~ the money~
In-Game Notification: Your balance is negative. You are now borrowing money from the bank and will pay interest on the loan weekly. If your loan exceeds €150,000.00 you will go bankrupt!
In-Game Budget: Income current trip €37.00, total weekly income from bus trips €3,462.98, hit pedestrian -€20,000.00, collision -€2,394.34, total -€18,931.36
      Gura: [Stunned Silence]
  • After getting a cameo in a Taco Bell commercial, Gura held a sponsored stream where she talked about it. Which included acting like the characters in the commercial were real actors, and eating Nacho Fries on stream.
  • The ending of the Grime stream had Gura go full "valley girl", adding hands with fake nails, fake eyelashes, and big fake lips. Then she put them on Nendoroid Gura and it looked worse. Then she put the lips on Bloop and even she realized it was cursed.
  • While exploring the JP Minecraft server, Gura finds Shion's home and placed a series of signs where she wrote out a flowery love letter straight out of a romance novel. The chat just lost it from the absurdity of both the effort being put into it and using signs instead of a book. To top it off, after she finishes she steps back and recites it from start to finish with piano music playing in the background only for the music to abruptly stop and she suddenly yells at the chat "Stop calling me 'cringe', dammit!"
  • Gura gets a Superchat from a fan that tells her he put together a massive 47-minute feet compiliation (as in, moments where Gura mentioned feet). Gura finds that hard to believe, and looks it up. Not only does she find the 47-minute compilation, she finds smaller Gura feet compilations. She basically cringes herself to death watching them.
Gura (video): Does that frustrate you?
    Gura: YES!
  • Gura finds out about how Omegaα is doing their own take on her iconic tweet. She isn't happy about the lack of originality, wanting a "talk" with them and calling them "Omegalul". The fact that Omegaα is a staff member that has the aura of a final boss does nothing to deter her displeasure.
    • In the same stream, fans point out that Vergil's boss subtitle in Devil May Cry 5 is "The Alpha and The Omega", leading fans to theorize that Omegaα is Vergil's VTuber persona. Gura vehemently denies it and laments her inability to escape him.
Gura: We are not, we are NOT including Vergil in Hololive!
  • Most everyone agrees that Kronii's voice is incredible to listen to. Gura's opinion on it, though, is... interesting, to say the least. It gets funnier when someone did indeed ask Kronii to read one during her first superchat stream.
Gura: I need her to tell me about toothpaste. I'm going to prepare a toothpaste commercial script, and I'm gonna ask her to read it.
  • During a Minecraft stream, Gura talking about her IRL mother suddenly devolved into Gura coming up with a "what if" scenario where Gura found out she was Happily Adopted and was sharing the news with the chat ("Adoption live reaction", as one chat member put it). When someone in chat wrote "Ina, play Unravel", Gura came up with her own lyrics:
Gura: [singing] Oshiete oshiete yo sono shikumi wo/You've been adopted, shark, that's gonna leave a mark
  • At the finale of her playthrough of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, Gura reached mission 20 and nervously began her much-anticipated final showdown against Vergil. However, her first attempt was suddenly ended when, the instant Vergil activated his Devil Trigger and started styling on her, Gura's stream suddenly lagged out and disconnected. When it came back online a few moments later, Gura was dead and staring at the Continue/Restart screen, much to the shock/amusement of the chat.
Gura: Wow. You can't make that up. The power of Vergil.
    • Toward the end of the stream, when discussing which Devil May Cry game she should play next, the chat brought up the infamous DmC: Devil May Cry as a suggestion. When she looked up the game, Gura was just as bewildered as fans were at the game's announcement, with Gura confessing that she thought she was looking at an illegal bootleg.
  • During a Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix stream, she Rage Quits a song after missing a note. Someone in chat calls her a noob, hitting her Berserk Button. She tells the viewer "I have more hours in this game than you have on this planet".
  • Gura's first stream of The Sims 4 ended abruptly because she forgot she had a meeting, and only remembered when Calli showed up in chat and Gura figured she was done with work, only for the realization to hit her.
  • On Gura's September 4, 2021 stream, she finds a Water House in the JP Server with a chest laid out in it with a sign that says DON'T OPEN!!! This is... Pandora's BOX. She opens it and is hit by a volley of dark fireworks. Gura finds she's just another victim of Pekora's War Crimes!
  • During her playthrough of West of Loathing, she reads a plaque with a list of equipment a previous adventurer had and it ends with "buttfor". Gura falls for it, asking "What's a buttfor?" and doesn't realize it for almost 20 seconds. She doesn't take it well.
    • During the chat section of her West of Loathing stream, she had a fun time translating iconic Devil May Cry quotes to Gratuitous Spanish.
Gura: ¡Ahora estoy motivado! [...] [giggling] I'm sorry, I don't know why this is so funny to me.
  • While reading superchats after playing The Sims 4, Gura gets pranked so perfectly that even she had to admit how good it was. The chat completely lost it for a good ten minutes after.
Gura: YahBoiKoi thank you..."I saw you're going to Fan Expo Dallas, any plans of going to Saw Con?" I don't know what that is. What is Saw Con? Like, Saw the horror movie?
    [Gura typing into Google]
Gura: Oh....GET OUTTA HERE! Oh who said that— YahBoi...— NOOOOOO! I just googled it. SAW CON DEEZ NUTS!
  • During testing for the Myth Anniversary stream in VRChat, Ame revealed she can change her avatar into any of the hololive members and asked Gura which one she should "wear" first. Unsurprisingly, Gura said Shion, which Gura took a screenshot of. Said screenshot shows "Shion" flipping her off.
  • Gura's reaction to hearing a cast announcement for The Super Mario Bros. Movie (which she initially thought was going to be a Live-Action Adaptation), which quickly lead to many fan comments along the lines of "You can actually pinpoint the second when her heart rips in half" or "Gura just went through the Five Stages of Grief in the span of a few minutes".
Gura: [cheerful and excited] MIYAMOTO! Don't let us down!
Shigeru Miyamoto: First, of course, is Mario, who will be played by Chris Pratt.
Gura: [smile quickly morphs into a horrified Jaw Drop]
    • The end of the Bayonetta 3 trailer teased a mysterious character who looked very similar to Vergil. Immediately, the Vergil jokes came out in full force.
Gura: My heart raced for a second, but then I...no, it's not. No. No no no no. Who was that? [Sees chat spamming Vergil] No! I don't think it was...no no no no. [Chat continues spamming Vergil jokes] NOOOOO! Don't say it!
  • During a Minecraft stream, she finds a vending machine that dispenses milk. After she drinks it, she finds a sign saying what kind of milk it is. Ina'nis Milk. Gura immediately sports the same frown as the Chris Pratt reveal and expresses her disgust.
Gura: Now what do you do with it, is there a way to recycle it— (notices the "INA'NIS MILK" sign on the side of the vending machine, frowns, and pauses briefly as she tosses the milk bucket away) —EUUUUUUUGGHHH!!
  • Gura does a two stream playthrough of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Highlights here and here:
    • Upon entering the guest house, she compliments Ethan on his well cared-for hands before getting scared by the door closing.
    • During the Sewer Gators segment, she mocks the concept of ghost hunting shows and videos.
    • She thinks that Ethan's freshly removed hand looks like a holiday ham.
    • At multiple points throughout the game, she mocks Ethan and Mia for how slow they run, saying that they're like toddlers.
    • When she finds the dirty, stinky socks in the laundry room, she wonders out loud if she was the one who made this game. Much later, in Evie's room, she sees framed pictures of feet and says that she should probably talk to the game devs.
    • She takes the time to T-bag one of the molded in the basement.
    • She yells at another molded that "You're making me wet!" When it's brought up right after and again a stream later, she denies that's what she said.
    • Gura gets scared by her own shadow.
    • Gura gets hit with another "deez nuts" prank when trying to talk about her capture settings.
    • Before going AFK, she has the chat guess Zoe's cup size.
    • At the start of her second stream, she's asked if she's saved her wife yet. She replies that she hasn't because she was busy doing guy stuff.
    • She greats a newcomer to her stream but gets interrupted by a molded crashing through the wall and screams. After killing it, she calls it the Kool-Aid Man.

  • During a Dead By Daylight stream, Kronii joins and the two talk about characters' butts. Gura then repeats the "Hrrgnh Colonel, I'm trying to sneak around but I'm dummy thicc" meme, which Kronii desperately tries to deny any knowledge of despite correcting Gura on the exact phrasing of it.
  • In one of Gura's Minecraft streams, Polka joins in on the game. At that moment, Gura proceeds to talk about a fan-animation of Polka's "Poltato PC", which is Polka's Berserk Button. Polka, apparently overhearing this, lures Gura with a trail of baked potatoes and melon slices and flies to a multicolored building, where she shoots down Gura with a flaming arrow. Gura proceeds to make another "poltato" joke and gets hit with another flaming arrow.

  • While playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in VR.
    • Gura starts a new campaign and encounters the usual Skyrim jank when she's nearly launched off with the carriage as it comes to a stop. Another carriage is suspended off the ground nearby. During the execution scene, while her hands are still bound, she performs jazz hands by shaking them in front of the camera.
    • Before Gura ended the stream, she listed off all the foods she went to the store and bought, including vegan chicken nuggets. Someone sent her a red superchat that read "BEEF FUND".
  • At one point during her Grand Theft Auto V stream, Gura encountered a group of Straw Feminist NPCs who started chanting "Vulva... vulva...", which Gura started imitating, much to chat's amusement/horrorexplanation .
    • After doing the first heist, she arrives to the infamous re-introduction of Trevor. She screams upon seeing it, pauses the game, and takes a second to decide what to say.
    • During a subsequent Grand Theft Auto V stream, Gura ends up in a Police chase as part of completing the mission. It takes her about thirty minutes, much of the chase being prolonged due to Gura's own bad luck and poor driving skills.
      • Her attempts to bully an NPC result in his pet dog attacking Gura. Gura was already low on health at this point, so all it takes is one bite to end getting killed.
      • Later on, Gura tries to make peace with the dog and shoots some rats near it, thinking she is doing it a favour. The dog mistakes this as hostility on Gura's part and proceeds to chase her again. Gura is forced to shoot it dead, turns her attention back to the rats, only to find the dog is Not Quite Dead. When she runs far enough and the dog is no longer aggressive towards her, she tries to pet it, only to punch and kill it instead. As if to rub salt into the wound, during her shocked explanation of her actual intentions, a passing truck runs over the dog, making her scream even more.
    • Gura's response to chat asking her to change the in-game radio station from the Country Music she was listening to.
Gura: "Gura, I don't like country music, Gura, change the station, Gura..." Hey! Who's the driver here? I'm the driver. You guys are buckled up in the backseat in your booster seats, alright? We can stop at McDonald's later if you let- If you let mommy keep the station on country, and you're good, alright, chat, then we'll let you get some McDonald's, alright? I'll buy you a Happy Meal, now zip it!
  • Gura plays Big Brain Academy:
  • Her Atlantean Princess outfit reveal stream begins with PNG Gura "talking" by moving only part of her model up and down, on top of a white background with a crudely drawn chat.
  • During Gura's stream of Blue Archive:
    • Gura is smitten by Arona, and doesn't appreciate the dialogue railroading her player character into saying otherwise.
Gura: [To Arona] I love you! You're perfect! Keep doing exactly what you're doing, please! Please don't ever don't doubt yourself! You're doing your best!
Arona: [To the in-game player character] You're saying fingerprint readers these days are supposed to be instant? But... I don't have that sort of high-tech feature...
Gura: No, I didn't say that! Stop putting words in my mouth!
Arona: I mean, I don't need those kinds of features! My eyes will do the trick just fine!
Gura: [Slaps desk] That's what I'm trying to say!
Arona: Hmmm... You don't seem convinced.
      Gura: I am convinced!
    • The game's summoning sequence lets the player sign a document, as if they're giving their approval for recruiting new characters. Gura's last few gacha rolls don't go in her favor, so the for the final document, she just signs "PLZ" instead of her name like before. Amusingly, her last roll nets her one character of the highest rarity.
    • While playing the game, Gura gets excited when the game uses voice generation software to have the characters audibly say her name, and comes to a sudden realization.
Gura: Is that how you guys feel when I say your name?
  • Gura plays Groove Coast Wai Wai Party to show off the Gawr Gura DLC.
    • The DLC adds Gura as the announcer and commentator. Gura ends up finding many sources of amusement while trying to talk to the audience because "Gura" kept interrupting her.

    • Gura decides to host an online match, and picks "Reflect" as the first song. One JP player immediately picks S++ difficulty before Gura can even react. Gura stated how she had some creative input on how she wanted the notes to play. Said player completely bodied her.
      Gura: Oh, showoff.
      Chat: THE BULLYING IS REAL
  • During an unarchived karaoke stream, Gura gets a superchat telling her how their mother gave them a Gura shirt and body pillow for Christmas. Gura wonders what kind of pillow it is.

    • She asks one enemy she's fighting "Why are you British?"
    • This being her second stream having to use a PNG in place of her Live2D avatar, she is asked if she regrets what she said about Gabriela Giselle. That being a meme picture of her minus the shark features, whom Gura disparaged for being just an image who can't talk or interact with the fans and whose mouth is perpetually hanging open. Her attitude quickly shifted from worry about insulting someone to "screw that unsharked shark" as she remembered who that was.
  • Gawr manifested for a stream of Bully, and unsurprisingly was quick to revel in the game and its brand of comedy.

      White-Faced Varre: You maidenless runt...
      Gura: Fuck you.
White-Faced Varre: Who do you think I am?
Gura: A nobody. You will die in obscurity! You will die a maidenless, maidenless filthy peasant. You will die in obscurity!
    • Gura was just about ready to kill Melina when the latter also called her maidenless, but quickly retracted her words when she offered to be one for the shark.
Melina: But you, I am afraid-

      Melina: -are maidenless.
Gura: I will... kill you too.
Melina: I can play the role of maiden.
Gura: Okay, never mind. We got our maiden, boys!
    • She fails to backstab an enemy NPC because she was too far so, for the next one, she got so close that her "nose pressed firmly between his cheeks" before executing it successfully.
  • When naming a Devour collab stream, Gura saw a chance and took it.
    [DEVOUR] deez
  • The first 15 minutes of Gura's third Kirby and the Forgotten Land stream is done entirely in "poyos".
  • A viewer comments that their mom thinks they're watching the Teletubbies when Gura's on. She denies it until she tries out the voices, then she immediately concedes.
  • Gura rates the viewer's food. On a scale from Sweet Saxaphone (best) to Health Inspection (worst).
    • The first to go in Health Inspection was a slice of pizza with mold on it. Gura notes that it looks like "anime hair".
    • One image is a plate of unknown food on a folding chair, and the chair is in a dirty bathtub. There's also a Bayonetta amiibo.
    • Someone recreated the Nasty Patty. Surprisingly, Gura put it in the middle tier.
  • Gura's Project Wingman stream sees Gura set up with a PNG of her face in the corner labelled "Combat Ace GOOB", and her recently debuted 3d model equipped with a helmet visible from the shoulders up. (Gura had turned the transparency on it up so as not to obscure the gameplay.) The latter is facing away from the camera, something Gura maintained for the entire time she played. Humorous enough, but at some point chat started to realize that Gura had made the chat literal backseaters.note
  • Gura returned from a week-long break by showing off her official 3D model while playing Gorn: Visceral Reality.
  • Gura gets a chance to play WWE 2K22
    • The character creation process results in some completely cursed results. The chat was thoroughly traumatized.
Chat: What did I just walk into.
      Please end my suffering
      Blursed.
      • Gura imports her own picture and slaps it over her wrestler's face. The result is an anime girl's face superimposed over the realistic human faces like a bizarre face paint. Gura tries to pass it off like one of those animals that uses camouflage.
      • Gura imports her 3D model for reference, but her tail mysteriously sticks out from her groin region in the front.
      • While styling her hair, she ends up adding some alien eye stalks in place where her hair clips would be. Even for Gura, that was too much and she quickly removed them.
    • Midway through the stream, Fauna joins the chat and assists Gura in making an equally cursed Kronii character. They even veer off-tangent into a discussion about Morbius (2022) memes.
    • Gura tests things out by pitting both wrestlers against each other. The ensuing match looks like a grown adult bullying a child, and both Gura and Fauna are awed and amused at the brutality both fighters exhibit.
    • Gura's fighter bounces off the ropes for a moonsault... and promptly bellyflops onto the canvas, landing nowhere near a downed Kronii.
    • Some time after the stream is over, Kronii jokingly alludes to the Kronii that Gura created as her leaked 3D model.
  • Gura's two streams of The Stanley Parable saw her lean hard into samegaki mode. This made her an ideal foil for the game's narrator.
  • During Gura's second WWE 2K22 stream:
    • Gura officially debuted the front side of her 3D model and acted as color commentator for the wrestlers she created. Her model was wearing a pair of Aviator sunglasses because why not?
    • She started off the night with Bubba vs. Bloop. Bloop won. Ame says the match was rigged.
      • Bubba has "Woof, Woof, Bitch!" on his butt.
    • A fight broke out backstage between Sana and Kronii. Gura interpreted Sana by making her as tall as possible.
    • Gura recreated her own character, putting her in a tanktop and shorts the same color as her own skin in order to mimic a Full-Frontal Assault. She walked down to the ring wearing a rubber duck floaty around her waist.
    • Calli's intro was the Undertaker's, filled with intimidating staredowns.
    • Since Gura can't get the announcer to say Kiara's full name, she comes up with the next best thing:
Announcer: From overseas, the Fireman, Tanaka "Pee Wee" Kobayashi!
      Gura: Close enough.
    • The day after the stream, Calli leaves a comment.
Calli: I like the part where I throw you.
  • It's not a Gura birthday party without some laughs, and in 2022, it's with her 3D model.
    • Gura's second song, "Balalaika", is performed in tandem with Kiara. Except Kiara is not using her official 3D model, but rather her Smol Kiara model by Walfie. Additionally, Walfie-made models of holoCouncil and IRyS can be seen in the background, with the top of Bae's head being inexplicably on fire.
    • The fifth song, "Hajimete no Chuu", is performed alongside Ame, who questions Gura's pick after the first chorus in a Ship Tease-filled banter.
Ame: Ugh, why did you pick this song? It's embarrassing!
Gura: Hey, is that a blush I see?
      Ame: Shut it, fishbrain.
      Gura: Hehehe.
    • Kanauru revealed that Gura's audience was A-Chan, Yagoo, and Jenma in the front row. Between all the animated pen lights in the crowd is just Haachama T-posing. Everywhere.
  • Gura's Shark 3D Live concert was pretty standard for hololive concerts, except for two specific gags.
    • Her duet with Shion was absolutely dripping in Self-Deprecation — "Chichi wo Moge" from Zatch Bell!
    • She sings "My Soul, Your Beats!" with Kronii, who is represented as a literal cardboard standee. After the song, Gura pokes fun of how flat Kronii is, but Kronii fires back by pointing out that she's still taller. Gura ends the skit by picking up the Kronii standee and carrying her off.
  • A superchat asked of her opinion on the famous "No Nut November" joke, and without missing a beat, Gura gives her opinion on eating cashews and almonds.
  • Her 3D showcase stream includes a math quiz. While she's working through the questions, shrimp is flung at her, and for every wrong answer, increasing amounts of shrimp are flung at her head. By the fifth question she gets so many wrong answers that she ends up buried in a giant pile of shrimp!
  • Gura plays Choo-Choo Charles:
  • Gura plays Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning:
    • Gura once again struggles with math throughout her many, many tries to beat the game, angering Baldi even quicker than usual. Meanwhile, when it comes to the answers she gives to the math problems that replace the numbers with broken symbols and thus cannot be answered correctly, well... the first of them is "8008153" ("BOOBIES"), and the second is "6969696969". Make of it what you will.
    • On her twelfth attempt, Gura asks the chat whether anybody got hit with stuff at school. Less than a minute later, one Chumbud answers that they got hit by a car, and two minutes afterward, another pipes up that they slipped on a Banana Peel and hit themselves on the head.
    • From her eighteenth attempt, when she encounters the unanswerable question:
Gura: Fee, fi, fo, fum. Baldi's gonna stick his ruler right up my... *enters her answer* ...he's gonna hit me with it.
  • While exploring the new Holo House in HoloCure, Gura finds that not only is Bloop running the fishing shop, but he also has unique dialogue if Gura is the character talking to him. When Gura learns about how he selling fishing rods, Gura threatens him with her trident to give her free rods... only it turns out, much like Bae's experience with CouncilRyS RPG, the game predicted Gura's dialogue and Bloop responds accordingly.
Gura: I feel like I've been read like a book.
    • The Atlantean Rod has a crack at how Gura still hasn't built Atlantis in Minecraft yet. Gura was not amused.
