General/Same-Gen Collabs
- In her debut, Chloe mentions being kind of turned on by Iroha threatening to spank her, leading to the after-debut talk between the four members who'd debuted thus far featuring a discussion of kinks. Koyori likes shy, demure girls, specifically bringing up the example of a girl who has big boobs but wears clothing so baggy that you can't tell if she has boobs at all, Lui says she's only interested in twins, and La+ opts to make a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure reference (saying that she likes hands and collects her own fingernail clippings in jars) and is shocked when none of the others catch it and think she's serious, reacting with a mixture of surprise and disgust.La+: Have none of you people ever watched JoJo?!
- Chloe then muses that she suspects that La+ might actually be doing that, to which La+ responds with "What kind of image do you have of me?!"
- At one point during the first collab stream featuring all five members, Iroha shows off her attempt at ikebo (a "cool guy" voice). As soon as she does, Chloe sports a Luminescent Blush that does not go unnoticed by Koyori who, as soon as Iroha is done, calls out Chloe for showing off her "feminine face" (the specific phrasing being "mesugao", with "mesu" meaning "female" in the animal sense). Chloe responds that "a new door may have been opened for me..."
- When La+ and Lui played Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes together, they... struggled a fair bit, especially when La+ was guiding Lui. La+'s somewhat ditzy behavior and failure to comprehend the notes often led to Lui exploding.
- La+ and Koyori did a collaborative ASMR...for a loose definition of both words. Koyori's stream, taken on its own, would be considered a proper ASMR, but the idea of the collab was to be watching both streams at once, and La+' reactions were... less ASMR and more "infantilism fetish." Lui started her next superchat reading stream by addressing the ridiculousness of it.
- During their Christmas off-collab, Chloe decided to give Lui something unexpected.Lui: Nothing can be covered with this!
- Koyori had her birthday celebration. The rest of the generation didn't exactly stick around for very long.
- History repeated itself during Chloe's celebration, except this time, Lui opened her's, Koyori's, Iroha's, and La+'s collective "omedetou" ("congratulations") by speaking in a Dull Surprise monotone, and as for said "omedetou", not only was it replaced with an "arigatou" (thank you) instead, but La+ read the wrong syllable, saying "a" instead of "to", with the end result being that the four told Chloe "Arigaau".
- Chloe is known to say "poe poe poe", specifically to irritate her colleagues. Sometimes, this gets turned on her, like when she, Koyori, Lui, and Iroha are collecting bones to adopt a dog, and Chloe accidentally makes a pun ("1 chan tarinai" means "Probably not enough", though "1 chan" sounds like "wan-chan", another name for "dog"). With that, the others collectively say "Poe poe poe", bugging Chloe.
- As part of a collab stream where they debut their headquarters and show off their collective 3D models, they play "Hole in the Wall". The tutorial offers a simple start but then things get really bizarre once the game kicks off. While each of the girls are given weird shapes corresponding to their themes (other than Chloe's, where she has to contort in a way she's not fit for), La+ gets a perfectly normal human figure... that she can't fit into because of her horns and short stature.
La+ Darknesss
- From her debut day:
- She gives the first order to the chat to all say "Yes My Dark", and starts panting like a dog when they do so. Later the phrase gets further and further mutated into different variations, much to her annoyance.La+: "Yagoo My Dad"?
- She says that she knows what "loli" is, and insists she's not a kid, just an adult with short height and unknown age.
- After her co-talents and the fandom had a field day regarding her being shorter than Gura and Luna, the chat continues to make Just a Kid jokes.
- Her first order of business when she gets her powers back is to exterminate the viewer who assumed that La+ is the crow talking.
- She managed to almost lose her camera not once, but twice within a day.
- She gives the first order to the chat to all say "Yes My Dark", and starts panting like a dog when they do so. Later the phrase gets further and further mutated into different variations, much to her annoyance.
- When one fan mentioned that La+ looked like a fork, she was initially resistant about getting yet another nickname but eventually warms up to it because selling branded forks is a great merchandise idea and allows people to call her Fork. She's also fine with being called a Caucasus Beetle.
- One of her first streams is Shadowverse, but her decks and knowledge of cards are not up to date. After 9 consecutive losses practicing Take Two All Stars, she gets frustrated enough to allow chat to backseat her. She's awed at the strength of the modern cards from her own perspective. Chat even tells her to taunt her opponent when she gets the right opportunities!
- After the announcement of a big Mario Kart tournament, La+ comments on the picture used for the collage, noting how she's the only one not smiling and it looks like an ID photo.
- True to her intense adoration of the Superhero genre, when Spider-Man: No Way Home was first released, La+ was incredibly excited, and shared a "selfie" with her chat that she took with Spider-Man as she gushed about how cool he was.
- La+ ended a zatsudan by saying that she bought someone's voice pack and refusing to name whose it was. As if on cue, Towa arrives in her chat and asks if she was called, at which point La+ promptly ends the stream.
- For the most part, different members' New Year's outfits have a simple or elegant designs to them. La+'s New Year's kimono instead has a large image of her slapped onto it, accompanied with different manga panels with her on it. On top of that, rather than dragging out the reveal of the new outfit, she started the stream wearing it and treated it almost like any other zatsudan, just with her new outfit as the main subject.
- She gets briefly demonetized and, while it was restored quickly enough, she went onto Twitter and put forth her concern. Then she said that she will need someone to take care of her since she's without revenue and calls for Iroha to do it, before remembering the samurai's fondness for raw eggplant and reconsidering.
- La+ tells her chat that she will take and answer any questions they may have and they respond by sending life questions that turn her zatsudan into an informal counseling session. She's taken aback at first, but actually tries to answer the questions of a job-seeker asking for recommendations, a salaryman experiencing career stagnation, someone asking for words for examinees, and one person who wants to get a hedgehog but is allergic.
- After some practice and fine-tuning in Shadowverse, La+ pilots a modern Dimension Shift deck with great success. Feeling good about herself, she goes into her next match... and her opponent, wielding an Atomy Deck with the perfect opening hand, effortlessly defeats her in 5 turns. She ends the stream in frustration, swearing to get revenge on that matchup for a later stream.
- La+ addresses the rumors that "she has a boyfriend", which started just because a knock was heard from one of her streams. She sets things straight by briefly bringing in her roommate as proof of where the noise came from, and also roasts the audience members perpetuating the rumor by wondering out loud if they have any friends.La+: You think I'm living with a guy just because someone knocked three times? That's just absurd! Seriously, what are you guys saying? Like, when I Tweeted that my muscles feel sore, there were Tweets going about that I had too much action with my boyfriend. Good lord, you guys read too much porn!
...
La+: If I play games with a guy, does that mean he's my boyfriend? If I play games with a girl, does that mean she's my girlfriend? If our eyes met, we're dating? If we've spoken with each other, we're married?! I'm just playing games with my friends! Don't you have any friends?! Oh, I'm sorry if you actually don't. I truly am, but — goddammit!
Takane Lui
- Without any warning, Lui and her blob hawks appear with golden Triangle Shades and start singing "Kishidan - One Night Carnival", only to receive a call from her manager telling her to do her introductions properly.
- During her debut stream, Lui mentioned that she doesn't like horror and scary things. So she asked her manager to suggest a dating sim visual novel to play... which is how she ended up playing Doki Doki Literature Club!. When she reaches the game's infamous first climax, look at the chat: several of them are saying "Welcome to the Literature Club" or "Welcome to DDLC", or just "Hey there clippers".
- While watching Korone's unboxing stream of random PlayStation 2 games, she comments on one of the games Korone has on stream, thinking she's using an alternate account where she disguises as just another viewer only for her to realize that she's using her own account. Korone ends up spotting her and laughs due to LuiLui commenting like an audience member.
- Lui is upset about the fact that she isn't being asked love advice for her fans and boasts that she has tons of knowledge and experience with many boyfriends and girlfriends... from dating sims.
- The first half of one of Lui's streams is dedicated to Ganmo's "debut", voiced by Lui herself.
- During her battles with Margit the Fell Omen in her Elden Ring streams, Lui couldn't stop falling off of the battlefield.Lui: I'm a hawk who can't fly...
- During her Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne playthrough Lui learns first hand about the difficulty spike when she faces off against Matador
- Lui holds an English-only chat stream and is asked about her favorite English idioms. Chat teaches her that "two brain cells" means "small brain," prompting her to ask if there's an idiom for "big brain." She eagerly responds when chat teaches her the appropriate idiom:Lui: I have galaxy brain!
- Lui finds out what "kenja time" means meaning
- A new viewer visits Lui's stream and asks who to watch to get into holoX. In response, Lui silently goes to the middle of the screen and mugs the camera.
- Lui and her frogmouths play on a see-saw together.
Hakui Koyori
- Many hololive members expressed hope that nobody in this Gen would get their Twitter accounts restricted, only to be told by chat that Koyori already is.
- Her debut sees her speak with such speed and clarity that it puts Ollie to shame, with minimal stops to actually breathe (only pausing for more than a few seconds to drink towards the end of the stream), and in particular, the speed of her delivery made live translators throw in the towel.
- She is told via superchat that there is demand for an ASMR stream with her mother. When she objects to that, someone else wonders if it's possible with her father instead. She is in complete confusion that anyone would want such a thing.
- While streaming NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD, she gets KAngel to do a suggestive popsicle ASMR. She is blown away by the enormous surge in followers this gets and is outright confused at how this kind of stream would still increase Ame's stress.
- During one of her Elden Ring streams, Koyori finally met Rennala, who swiftly became That One Boss for her. Though she struggled significantly with the first phase, when the coyote finally got to the second, what followed was a swift descent into screaming frustration. She was forced to give up initially, but later came back after some leveling up to finish the job on her second try.
- Koyori reveals that she used to work part-time at a karaoke bar, and her job was to watch the booths over the security cameras to make sure couples weren't getting..."frisky". Cue many jokes about her being the designated cockblocker, or saying that Koyori should consider becoming a member of the Oozora Police.Koyori: Whenever customers got too intimate, I'd have to call their booth and tell them to stop, like "Please don't do that in our karaoke bar." [...] The rooms had CCTV, so everything you did in them was visible to us, and I kinda started enjoying the spectacle, I'd go "Oh my gosh, are they gonna do it?". I'd bring over one or two of the other part-timers, and we'd just stand there and watch the CCTV with our arms folded, wondering "So, how's this couple going to go?"
- She then plays Biohazard: RE2, and... she's not used to horror games.
- When she reaches NEST 1, she goes to a dark hallway where she encounters two Lickers as Leon.
- When she plays as Claire, she goes to get a gem when a Licker lands in the room she was in. Cue her screaming "LICKER!!! LICKER!!! LICKER!!!". As if it wasn't bad enough, she also encounters Mr. X and a zombie.
- Koyori tries out the game that Marine once made by herself during her younger years, and is disappointed that an undressing event went without a CG cutscene. She then files a complaint to the game dev herself, only to be told by Marine (who's straight-up embarrassed by the game being a reminder of her past) to just finish the game quickly.
- Koyori reports that Chloe encountered some Khezu (Furufuru) in Monster Hunter for the first time and, noting the monster's... phallic appearance and learning that the Khezu is Koyori's favorite monster, proceeds to make a series of dirty jokes about it. Not knowing what Chloe is trying to imply, Koyori texts her, but Chloe evades the question by replying, in English, "Oh sorry I can't speak Japanese". Koyori responds by "punching" her. As a bonus, Koyori herself ends up making a series of these jokes completely by accident as she continues the report, especially when she points out how good she handles Khezu, although she does not have a Khezu.
- While playing Aquarium, a visual novel starring Aqua with Marine and Fubuki as side characters, one early scene gives her the choice to pursue Marine. The game gives her three opportunities, back-to-back, to rethink her decision, but she excitedly presses on with the "Marine route".
- While toying with an AI program of herself, she tries to corrupt her AI self by typing that she will step on her fanbase (the assistants). Turns out AI Koyori is very pure compared with the real one, who silently slams her desk multiple times in frustration.
- Koyori and two clones of herself: a hyperactive one and a painfully anxious one, dance to "Show" by Ado. The hyperactive Koyori dances with a lot of energy, Koyori dances normally, and the shy Koyori just... moves her hands along to the song. Eventually, the hyperactive Koyori flies upwards out of view, much to the distress of the shy Koyori, while the normal Koyori dances on.
Sakamata Chloe
- Chloe's first tweet is her profusely apologizing for sleeping. Cue amused reactions that she broke her calm and composed image so quickly.
- Chloe's first message to A-chan after her introduction is... making fun of her flat chest. The orca doesn't hold back.
- In her debut stream, she tries to switch to her room only for a number 5 clip showing up by accident, to her own embarrassment
- After Marine imitated her during one of the captain's streams, Chloe decided to fire back.Chloe: Sakamata has the voice of a really young woman, after all. So imitating Senchou's voice really strains my throat.
- Since her first stream with superchats enabled, which was less than an hour in length, Chloe's next five streams were a three-hour stream of just superchat reading, a 3-hour 40-minute stream with the final two hours being superchat reading, a three-hour stream of just superchat reading, a 4-hour 22-minute stream where superchat reading starts by the two-hour mark, and a three-hour stream of just superchat reading. Talk about suffering from success.
- Chloe's Duolingo stream has a number of highlights:
- At one point in the stream, Chloe has to transcribe an audio clip saying "Where is the zoo?" When she clicks on "zoo", the way the TTS says it makes it sound like the speaker is on the verge of dying.
- Chloe faces many problems with Duolingo's voice detection software. Unlike some other Hololive members, who struggled with it to the point that they would fail despite talking Surprisingly Good English, Chloe has essentially the opposite problem. That is, the jankiness of the software would cause Duolingo to give her a pass prematurely or even though she is not even trying, and this resulted in many jokes from chat about Duolingo being a simp for Chloe. For Chloe's part, she would get increasingly frustrated that she did not get the satisfaction of saying the sentence correctly every time this happens. Firstly, there is the part where she's passed before she got to read "Where is the museum?":Chloe: [After giving Duolingo permission to access her microphone which is still on] Can I talk now? [Duolingo passes her] Ah! Wait a minute, wait a minute! I didn't say anything! Hah!? Oi, Sakamata Chloe didn't say anything! Don't just say "correct" on your own! I didn't— [gets upset] Why? [in English] No... I said nothing. Japanese...
- The third time Duolingo passes Chloe before she can finish reading the sentence, her frustration erupts:Duolingo: This supermarket is big.
Chloe: Okay! Oh... guys. Okay? I finish. I finish, I said English. You're correct. You're correct... Said me. Okay? [begins to answer] This supermarket is- [Duolingo interrupts and passes her anyway. Chloe silently glares.] Aaaaaaah! Nooooo! [cute angry orca noises] Why?! What?! [beat] This hate me? This... this hate me? [beat, angrily] Oh... okay. Okay, understand. You think understand. Hmm!? - An irritated Chloe reads "Is this the bus to the library", expecting to be interrupted again. This time, Duolingo passes her seconds after reading the sentence, and she makes fun of the software for being too slow. She concedes she's not too mad about it though, because at least she got to finish reading.
- Duolingo passes Chloe for the fifth time, even after Chloe fumbles over her words.Duolingo: Is that the bus to the mall?
Chloe: [practicing] Is that the bus to the mall? Is that a... is that a- [stumbles over words and makes slurping noises, returns to practicing] Is that the bus to the mall? [tries to answer] Is bus a- [stumbles over her words, devolves into gibberish. Duolingo approves of her attempt, and Chloe has a laughing fit.] Neeeee! - The fact that Chloe never noticed that she misspelled "learn" as "kearn" for the entirety of her stream adds to Chloe's reputation of being pon.
- Chloe explains how she became the deviant that she is.
- Chloe dedicates a stream to practicing her English by interacting with her overseas fanbase and playing a guessing game with them, in which she thinks of an animal and provides a couple of clues. At one point in the game, she sees chat saying "potato", to which she replies: "Potato is stupid. I know. I know." When she learns she is being called "potato", she then sulks.Chloe: [whimper] Not potato. I'm not potato, I'm genius. [sad orca noises]
- Chloe trills before revealing the answers to her questions. At one point, while trilling, she makes a very accurate Togepi impression.
- One fan sends Chloe a series of superchats that totals to ¥26,816, which is also noted to spell "fu-ro-ha-i-ro" in Goroawase Numbers. In other words, she's being paid to take a bath.
- When Chloe announces that she will be moving in with Lui, Lui sets down some ground rules: No bath, no dinner. And she won't be allowed into the living room if she didn't bathe. In the face of this rule, Chloe concedes to... being able to eat dinner twice a week. This also succinctly summarizes Lui's Team Mom dynamic with the rest of her generation.
- In her playthrough of Portal, Chloe once again earns her ponkotsu cred by somehow managing to kill herself in the second test chamber. For reference, said chamber is a tutorial level with no hazards whatsoever.
- Chloe is amazed by Zeta's ability to speak four languages and tries to demonstrate that she is working on her English by saying "This is a pen". However, she says "I am a pen" instead, and chat "corrects" her by replying "You're not a pen, but a pon."
- What was supposed to be an emotional moment for Chloe for her 1st anniversary in Hololive was unintentionally ruined by her infamous handwriting... which was made funnier by fans asking Nodoka in Twitter about whether she knows what Chloe had written.
- When trading Pokémon with viewers in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, she set the password as "11201968", Goroawase for "Ii nioi Kuroe", or "Nice smell Chloe". Not that this stopped a viewer from sending her a Grimer named "Furohaire", or "Take a bath".
- Also in Scarlet and Violet, after struggling heavily through Larry's Gym battle, she recounts him as being the most challenging Gym Leader in the late-game interview. Then, when Larry shows up as a member of the Elite Four, Chloe screams in terror and tries to run away.
Kazama Iroha
- During her debut, she misspells "OshiMark" (as in her icon) as "OhiMark". Ollie, who was livetweeting the stream, noticed.
- She wanted to go on a break to play Final Fantasy XIV on early access, but got scolded by her manager who told her that she couldn't until she cleared Jump King. Hence, this stream.
- She had a midnight zatsudan where she began but failed to notice that she hadn't started the stream yet and ended up talking to herself for five minutes.
- In her December 20, 2021 zatsudan, she is bullied by the chat sending endless superchats so much that she threatens to not move on to the topic until they stop. She also points out that her actual mom is watching her stream and asks her for help, which comes in the form of simply thanking the viewers for watching her daughter.
- Despite her attempts to stop her reputation as being seiso, she's really proud of subverting one of Hololive's biggest running gags: her boundless stamina means she's pretty much the only member who can play Ring Fit Adventure without sounding like she's filming a porno.Iroha: "And here I thought RFA streams were supposed to be NSFW"? Ha ha ha, looks like you underestimated Kazama. Even when playing Ring Fit, I'm the most not-lewd woman in the world!
- Iroha has made it clear that she is NOT a ninja. This has not stopped fans from messing with her. Like this clever superchat.
- During her first time playing ARK:
- She takes the time to admire the scenery when a dodo poops in front of her. She scolds it for doing something so indecent and declares that it's not Subaru because her senpai doesn't poop in front of people.
- She receives a superchat in English with a vertically-written secret message that spells out NINJA. She is as amazed by the fan's cleverness as she is vehement about her denials of ninjahood.
- During her January 31, 2022 Fall Guys stream:
- She mentions in one round that her mouse's sensitivity is rather high and a fan responds by superchatting the sensitivity meme from Taimanin Asagi. She doesn't know what it means and looks it up on Google, to the chat's horror, though they manage to stop her before she finds anything on it. Another superchat comes not long after, giving her a gist of the meme while warning her not to look into it any further or else they will drown her in blank superchats.
- A tennis fan had been praying to her channel for Rafael Nadal to win the 2022 Australian Open, and he did just the day before, so he thanks her again while giving offerings in the form of a superchat. She proclaims that her channel is not a shrine where one's wishes get fulfilled, then accidentally says that she is not a ninja again ("shrine" is jinja in Japanese, just one syllable away from "ninja") before affirming that she is neither of these things.
- Iroha tells the Kazama-tai about her love for animal ears and expounds on that love in such a manner that would make Fubuki proud. She mentions wanting to touch and suck on the ears of her various senpais, even saying that she would like to collect them, at which point the chat calls the police. She loves them so much that she thinks they would even work on Yagoo.
- Iroha plays Final Fantasy X and there are a few funny moments for sure.
- At Luca while Tidus, Lulu, and Kimahri are rescuing Yuna from the Al Bhed, Iroha sees O'aka and lends him 168 gil. Only for the superchats to flood her with ¥168/$1.68.
- She insists that Sin is an ocean pudding. And then The Reveal happens with Iroha finding out from Auron at Luca that Sin is Jecht all along. Iroha then somehow manages to connect it to Tidus being a mini-pudding.
- Iroha really doesn't want Seymour to marry Yuna. And while walking away from the Farplane, she somehow manages to skip the cutscene of the party discussing why Jyscal's unsent soul is still around. This prompts her to reload her save, only for her to realize that she has to listen to Seymour proposing to Yuna again.
- Iroha plays Night Security with Furball Korone as her emotional support (animal). Korone, who already played through the game, laughs at her junior as Iroha experiences all the jump scares that happen in the game.
