Grim Reaper Flag-chan! is a YouTube animation channel created by Plott. It stars Mobuo and the Flag-chan girls, Grim Reaper Flag-chan, Romance Flag-chan and Survival Flag-san. This series provides examples of:

• Butt-Monkey: Mobuo always gets subjected to all kinds of unpleasant situations. The Flag-chan girls can either cause it or share it depending on the episode.
• Catchphrase: Flag-chan will often say "That's a flag" whenever Mobuo is going to do something that can get him killed or is otherwise not wise.
• Creepy Doll: This story has Mobuo haunted by one he found and named "Mobumi No. 2".
• Gender Bender: One episode has everybody in the world swap genders which causes chaos, but Mobuo has no problems with his new gender (that is until he gets periods).
• Gentle Giant: When he became a giant, Mobuo tried to be this and help people, but he unintentionally caused trouble for everyone, to the point that everybody cheered for a monster that he tried to save everyone from.
• Grim Reaper: In this case, she is a young girl.
• Gyaru Girl: This episode centers on Mobuo trying to woo one of these, based on the mangas where a gyaru is nice to an otaku. However, she rejects him for being a creep, which summons Heartbreak Flag-chan. She tries to become a gyaru to get Mobuo's affection, even becoming a yamanba by Romance Flag-chan's advice.
• Hopeless Suitor: Heartbreak Flag-chan, who appears whenever there's a chance Mobuo will have his affections turned down, is in love with him, but he doesn't return her feelings.
• Little Sister Heroine: The episode What If You Had A Little Sister? has Grim Reaper Flag-chan turn into one by way of Romance Flag waving a "Onii-chan Wand". While Mobuo enjoys it at first, it turns out it was temporary, restoring Grim Reaper back to her senses. When she saw Romance recorded the whole thing, she smacks Mobuo's head with the blunt end of her scythe to make him forget what happened.
• Lotus-Eater Machine: Mobuo was sentenced to the beyond death penalty. When the sentence is carried out, Mobuo is simply injected with a medicine that turns out not to do anything. He got increasingly lucky and he even met Mobumi, married her and started a family together. But things started to go wrong for Mobuo. His family kept getting killed and revived only to be killed again. It's later revealed that Mobuo never left his cell and is in a reality world where his family keeps dying over and over.
• Potty Emergency: Mobuo is holding in his poop on the train. After getting off the train he got stopped many times on his way to the toilet. When he finally made it, the male section had a long line. In desperation, Mobuo went to the women's bathroom but is caught by Mobumi and he ended up soiling his pants.
• Punny Name: Mobuo's and Mobumi's names are a reference to the Japanese slang word mobu, which is used to refer to background characters or NPCs.
• Scary Black Man: The series stars one named Billy. However, he is actually friendly and one story reveals that he's much weaker than he looks.
• Swallowed Whole: Mobuo and Flag-chan get swallowed whole by a big snake on Mobuo's expedition.
• Troll: Romance Flag-chan can be this at times. Case in point:
  • In this story when Heartbreak Flag-chan turns to her for help trying to get Mobuo's affection since he liked gyaru girls. Romance "helps" her by giving her a yamanba fashion magazine. Of course, Mobuo is creeped out by Heartbreak's new look until Gyarumi comes to fix her back to her earlier gyaru stile.
• Victoria's Secret Compartment: Heartbreak Flag-chan pulls out her Red Thread-cutting scissors out of her cleavage to cut the thread between Mobuo and Mobumi.
• Wicked Heart Symbol: Heartbreak Flag-chan wears purple hair accessories in the shape of a broken heart and will go out of her way to foil Mobuo's romantic efforts to have him all to herself.
