- Art Shift: Some sequences will shift to another style of art rather than the Vyond artstyle.
- A Deadly Affair: Monica killed Colin's wife Dani to get with him since she was having an affair with Colin. She even planned to kill his son since she saw him as a bully and a spoiled brat.
- Dem Bones: Skelly is a walking skeleton wearing only a bonnet. So is Mr. Skeleton.
- Human Sacrifice: In this story, half a century ago, people were sacrificed to appease the gods by throwing them into the river. One of the officers decided to sacrifice Okiku's son after she rejected his advances. Okiku couldn't bear to lose her son so she threw herself in the river with him.
- Professional Killer: Amelia is a trained assassin who specializes in revenge killing.
- Stalker with a Crush: Fran kept getting horrifying letters which eventually caused her to move away. It is then revealed that the manager was the stalker and her friend was supplying information about her new whereabouts. He spied on her again, but Hachi gave him a good scare and he never stalked her again.
- Sweet Tooth: Skelly loves sweets to the point where a villain exploited this fact to kidnap her.
- Wicked Witch: Mary was a hated witch. Subverted when it is revealed that it is the king that was responsible for making everybody hate her despite the fact that she was a kind witch.
- Yandere: Sashihiko got obsessed with Atsushi, her crush when he helped her to the point where she tried to cure her terminal disease by overdosing on hospital drugs.
