- Acting for Two:
- Stacey DePass voices Sanjay, Jennifer and Otto's Mom.
- Kathryn Greenwood voices Margarie Powell and Leader Laura.
- Ron Rubin, Dwayne Hill and Adrian Truss all provided voices for a lot of the minor background characters.
- Children Voicing Children: Melanie Tonello as Lizbeth, Scott Beaudin as Owen-Only, Rebecca Brenner as Tabitha, Vanessa Thompson as Kirsten (before Stephanie Beard replaced her), Isabel de Carteret as Max, and Nissae Isen as Thor (the last two also being Crossdressing Voices).
- Cross-Dressing Voices: Tabitha St. Germain voices Milo/Captain Flamingo. We also have Stacey DePass as Sanjay, Catherine Disher as Otto, Isabel de Carteret as Max, and Nissae Isen as Thor (the last two stand out as also being examples of Children Voicing Children). The late Len Carlson also voiced Milo's Grandma in "Sink or Swim".
- Cross-Regional Voice Acting: Tabitha St. Germain recorded her lines for the title character from Vancouver, but the entire cast was otherwise based in Toronto.
- Dawson Casting: Although the series managed to get actual children to voice some of the kids (Lizbeth, Rutger, Tabitha, Max, Thor, Owen-Only), the rest of the children, including the title character himself, are all voiced by adults.
- Deleted Role: Cole Caplan is listed for voicing Wendell in the credits of "When Good Birds Go Bad" and "Face the Music", yet he does not appear in either of these episodes aside from a silent brief cameo via Stock Footage of "New Bird on the Block" for the latter segment.
- Died During Production: Len Carlson, who provided incidental voices in the earlier episodes most notably as Milo's Grandma, died from a heart attack one month before the series premiered. Ultimately, she was relegated to silent cameos.
- Fake Nationality:
- Lizbeth, who is of half Chinese and half Filipino descent, is voiced by Canadian actor Melanie Tonello. Same applies to her Chinese mother, being voiced by Canadian Kristina Nicoll.
- Sanjay, who is Indian, is voiced by Canadian voice actor Stacey DePass.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: There were two specials known as The Real Captain Flamingo Show that were produced shortly after the main series ended production which contains a series of shorts and original songs, but are hard to find due to only being released on the internet. Apparently, it is meant to be specials that were supposed to air and set after the finale. So far, only the intro to these specials is found, but in Dutch.
- One-Book Author: This series marks the only time Debra Felstead has ever done voice acting, voicing the mothers of Owen-Only and Avi in a few episodes. All of her other credits were on-camera roles and she nowadays works as a screenwriter.
- The Other Darrin: Kirsten was originally voiced by Vanessa Thompson in her first two speaking appearances before Stephanie Beard took over in all subsequent appearances.
- Playing Against Type: Rebecca Brenner, who usually voices young good-natured child characters such as Pollie Pi and Shimmer, voices Tabitha, a constantly Freaking Out perfectionist Control Freak.
- Posthumous Credit: As noted under Died During Production above, Len Carlson passed on January 26, 2006, but still provided incidental voices in the earlier episodes as all of his voice recordings were done prior.
- Referenced by...: Fortnite The King Flamingo skin pays homage to the titular character (with differences however).
- Renewed Before Premiere: The show was renewed for a second season before it even premiered.
- Screwed by the Network: The show was atrociously screwed by Toon Disney's Jetix block when it was picked up from Canada. The show premiered on Monday mornings at 8:30, when its target audience was heading for school. After seven months of this treatment, it was taken off the channel for two weeks, and when it returned it was pushed to Tuesdays at the inexplicable timeslot of 5:30 am, where the majority of its target audience are still asleep.
- The Shelf of Movie Languishment: The first 10 episodes of the series were produced in 2005, but didn't air until 2006. The Valentines, Halloween and Christmas episodes were produced and privately screened in June 2007, August 2007 and April 2008 respectively and did not air to the public until 2009 for the former two and 2010 for the Christmas episodes.
- Similarly Named Works: 21 Jump Street, Happy Tree Friends, The Loud House, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and The Zeta Project all also have an episode titled "Change of Heart".
- Tyop on the Cover:
- In the credits for "Pancake Panic", Maurice Dean Wint is spelled "Maurice Dean Winter".
- In the credits for "Ack! Give My Backpack Back, Jack!", Demetrius Joyette is spelled "Demetrius Joyetter".
- Uncredited Role:
- Max's voice actress Isabel de Carteret (who's usually credited on other episodes) wasn't credited in "Much Ado About...a 'Do'" despite having brief dialogue as that character in that segment.
- Despite Wendell having a significant role in "Rebel Without a Clog", his voice actor Cole Caplan isn't credited for that episode.
- Unfinished Dub: The Latin American Spanish dub stopped after the first season due to low viewership from Hispanic viewers.
- What Could Have Been: In the demo seen here, Milo's last name would've been Howell, which got passed on to his cousin Wendell. He would also have had glasses and blue hair, and his superhero outfit was completely different, including wearing a flamingo on top of his head instead of him having it being his helmet. Other character designs were also different, and he would also face a teenager named Tervit.
- Written by Cast Member: In addition to voicing several incidental characters, Dwayne Hill wrote the season 3 episode "Alley Oops!".
