• After your father gets put out of comission by Radiation Sickness after the first time you confront CURIE, he promotes you to full Ranger status to lead the mission to apprehend her in his stead. When you react with shock (evidenced by a (!) bubble), this is how he justifies it.
  Kellyn: I know that you can do it. You've overcome every challenge in your path. You have all eight badges now. You've become a strong, brave, independent person. I just want you to know....I'm so proud of you [player name]. I couldn't have asked for a better child. I'd just wish I'd been a better father. I hope that I can make it up to you someday. After all this is done...
  • Your player character then takes a step forward into the same space as Kellyn before stepping back; it's blink-and-you-miss-it, but this can be interpreted as the player character giving their remorseful father a hug.
