Moment Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

Even in a Kamen Rider series involving a comedian-turned-president of an AI company and his allies trying to avert an all-out war between man and machine, at least it provides some good dose of Mood Whiplash and genuine ounce of levity along the way.

And that's all for Zero-One!

    open/close all folders

     General
  • Every time Aruto makes one of his signature jokes. Especially when Fuwa's on screen and within earshot.

     Ryutaro Okada’s YouTube Channel
  • Out of the show example: Okada Ryutaro, Fuwa's actor, reviews the memes about him in his Youtube channel, even reenacting the scene of him opening a Progrise Key. Only it's potato chips instead.
    • Also from his channel, the out-of-place Fuwa plushie staring at him from the background of one of his Justin Bieber covers.
    • His Polite Cat moment in Episode 4 makes a comeback during his review of Episode 6, with Ryutaro Okada repeating that face for the amusement of his fans.
    • Shuya Sunagawanote  joins him in a spicy soba challenge. The challenge has a few highlights through it:
      • Shuya showcasing his Horobi poker face a couple seconds in.
      • As they eat soba, Shuya remains composed and Ryutaro devours his, making faces and chugging milk whenever the burn hits.
      • The smug "I win" expression Shuya has when he's nearly done, even better in that Ryutaro finishes his first.
      • Sometime after his defeat, Shuya caves in and shows his "it burns" face, which was made into the video's thumbnail.
      • Ryutaro tries to wash away the spiciness after the challenge nonstop. And while Shuya does as well, it's clear that Ryutaro felt it the most.
    • Ryutaro dresses up in a Halloween gorilla mask for a review of the ShotRiser.
    • Ryutaro and Ansatsu-chan's actor (Ryunosuke Matsumura) playing Smash Bros. Ryutaro lost in all three rounds and must eat the spicy umaibo.
      • They played Wolf and Falco in one of the rounds respectively, with Ryutaro yelling 'Shotrise' during the attack.

Series

Episode 1: I am the President and a Kamen Rider
  • Aruto's first scene? Him being late to work and freaking out, even scaring two pedestrians while screaming his ass off while on his bike.
  • Aruto's stage act as a comedian involves him telling really bad puns to his phone. Immediately after he delivers the punchline, the crowd that was there prior to his arrival is suddenly gone. The only people left are an old couple who aren't laughing, meaning that while they appreciate his "traditional" sense of humor not to run off, they still don't think he's funny.
  • Just the fact that Is is first seen sitting on a huge version of those wireless phone chargers. While it does make perfect sense for the Visual Pun, you have to wonder if this came out of some set designer's Robot Girl butt fetish...
  • As a fired Aruto leaves the amusement park, Is arrives to collect him, leading to this exchange immediately upon meeting him:
Is: Recognition confirmed. Aruto Hiden, 22 years old. Currently the self-proclaimed "Hilarious Solo Comedian", with minimal success as a performer.
Aruto: *Cut to Aruto faceplanted on the floor with Kamen Rider's comedic metallic clang Signature Sound Effect* Well, excuse me...
  • Fukkin Hōkainote  Tarō's comedian act was pretty hilarious. His introduction act involves him walking around half naked and literally busting his abs! It's in his name after all!
  • While also rather smart, there's something funny about the fact that the first time Aruto puts the belt on, he's immediately given a tutorial. His brain is connecting to the company's satellite and he's processing thoughts at the same speed as an AI - all to learn how to use the belt.
  • Zero-One follows the Running Gag of Lead Cures jumping too high on their first transformation and battle.
Aruto: EEEEEEEH!? Man, these legs sure pack a punch!
  • As pictured above, his first attempt at a Rider Kick results in him twisting his ankle. Since he's traveling at almost the speed of sound, he ends digging a trench in the brick sidewalk with his face.
  • The exposition about HumaGear hacking is provided by Horobi explaining it to Jin, who doesn't seem to understand or care about the process in the slightest, only about the chaos that will ensue afterwards.
  • Is throws the Attache Calibur into Zero-One and accidentally nails him in the head. Even the hacked HumaGears stop attacking for a moment just to stare.
  • Also a form of Black Comedy but Played for Laughs, Jin acting all giddily and laughing like a child while he sees Zero-One fighting the MOTW. All of a sudden, a hacked HumaGear finds him and begins to attack him, only for him to put it in a headlock and flat out execute the poor thing... all while still laughing, by the way.
  • Zero-One's first-ever Rider Kick finisher which has him awesomely destroying the Berotha Magia... ends up with him twisting his ankle and immediately rolling into the side of a building upon landing.
  • At the end of the episode, Aruto tries utilizing one of his jokes on Is, only for her to immediately take the joke apart much to Aruto's displeasure.
Aruto: Alright, I'll do it! Behold the scene where I hold my own card on screen! And that's how you know it's Aruto!
Is: *completely deadpan* This is traditional wordplay involving the words "behold" and "hold"...
Aruto: *screaming* I'm begging you! Please, Don't Explain the Joke!
  • While Zero-One is doing Le Parkour through an airborne bus and dodging laser fire, he launches himself out by pushing the 'next stop' button on the pole, causing the bus to announce 'stopping at the next station' as he launches himself out the back window.

Episode 2: Are AIs the Enemies? Allies?
  • Aruto's first day as President has him:
    • Getting rejected by the scanning machine at the entrance, which prompts the arrival of the security guard. Aruto then proceeds to have a staring contest with the guard while he scans him. Even after Aruto is recognized, the machine still blocks him.
    • Goofing around in his new office while Is watches impassively.
    • Cracking one of his bad jokes in front of Yaiba and Fuwa complete with goofy body language, to which the latter responds with his eyes twitching, fist clenching tightly and body trembling violently. An expected reaction, given what we've seen so far of his character... until it's later revealed that he was actually holding back his laughter.
  • Yaiba and Fuwa firing upon Zero One on sight, thinking he's the rampaging Magia. Aruto quickly legs it and detransforms the moment he's out of their sight. The very next moment has the two asking him where Zero One went, with Aruto using the old He Went That Way trick before running off.
  • At the press conference, Aruto reveals the existence of MetsubouJinrai.NET and their being the ones behind the rampaging HumaGears, and announces himself as Hiden Intelligence's new President. When a HumaGear reporter questions his comedian background, he straightens his suit... and cracks the same joke, mannerism and all, that he did earlier with Yaiba and Fuwa, this time with additional assistance from Is. Cue dumbfounded silence from the reporters and utterly unimpressed looks from Jun and Sanzo. Meanwhile, Fuwa is now visibly trying his hardest not to burst out laughing.
    Reporter: Uh... what was that?
  • Is proceeds to once again dissect the joke, to Aruto's protests.
Is: The comedy comes from the rhyming of the middle part in the words "shine" and "behind"—
Aruto: Seriously, please! Don't explain the joke!
  • The punchline of the joke is also just as punny in Japanese context:
"Shine on! I may be the President, but I'm also a shiny new hirenote !!"

Episode 3: That Man, Sushi Chef
  • During a visit to a sushi restaurant, Nigiro, the HumaGear chef, prepares a Shrimp Nigiri for Aruto, only for Is to take the platter away from him, reminding him that they are not here to try food. Immediately after Is chides Aruto, the latter takes the Shrimp Nigiri off the platter anyway, much to her surprise.
  • Jun and Sanzo plot to oust Aruto, finishing off with a round of cliched Evil Laugh. Shester attempts to laugh along, only to end up sounding stilted and robotic instead.
  • On two occasions in this episode, Aruto gets wrapped in stray tentacles coming from the Neohi Magia. In the first one, after the Magia gets away, Aruto remembers Vulcan is still there and slowly makes a run for it. When Vulcan spots him, he shoots at the jumping away Aruto, only to shoot the tentacles off.
Aruto, off-screen: Hey, I'm free! Appreciate it!
  • When Yaiba de-transforms, she simply walks away from Fuwa, who tries to follow her. He isn't mad over the fact that she's Kamen Rider Valkyrie, nor over the fact that she hid that from him, or even the fact that his Progrise Key still has its safeguard on while hers clearly doesn't. No, he's mad that she didn't tell him that two ShotRisers exist.
  • When Aruto tries to find information from the old master's previous student, he lets Aruto watch a video. Is in the back keeps jumping because she can't see the video. It's both funny and cute at the same time.
  • Throughout the episode, Aruto makes a few squid-related puns, and during the ending scene of the episode, Is thinks Aruto was intentionally making another pun, so she explains it as usual and then tries to finish it for him:
Is: *striking a pose* And that is how you ascertain it is Aruto!

Episode 4: I Saw The Bus Guide! Anna's Truth
  • Aruto admiring the greenery during the bus trip, while Is, like in the previous episode, has to remind him that they are not here to sightsee.
  • When Aruto reveals his Zero-One identity to Fuwa, Fuwa calls Aruto "batta yarou" note , which sounds like "baka yarou"note .
  • Aruto tries to jump to catch the flying Magia, only to, unfortunately, fall short.
  • While fighting the Magia, Is is on the ground watching as the fight unfolds. As Aruto flies off-screen, Is politely waves her hand and says "Have a safe trip, sir."
  • Again, Aruto cracks a joke at the end to Fuwa, this time about his sweater, while Is tries to explain, followed by Aruto telling her she's got to stop explaining his jokes. Isamu quickly leaves while holding back his laughter, but it's heard during the end credits as the new Progrise Keys are shown.

Episode 5: His Passionate Path of Manga
  • Hiden Intelligence's HumaGear ordering service allows its customers to customize their HumaGear to their liking. Naturally, Aruto begins having too much fun.
  • While delivering a HumaGear to Aruto's favorite manga artist, Is has to remind him (for three episodes now) that they are visiting him for business purposes, while Aruto wants to get an autograph.
  • Also a bit of Black Comedy here, but when we are introduced to Choichiro Ishizumi, we later see one of his four HumaGears shut down, citing its batteries are dead and in need of replacement. It becomes dark after realizing this scene has a much harsher Reality Subtext to it, being that the HumaGear shutting down is also representative of Karoshi.
  • Jin casually calling Zero-One like a child calling his friend, right after he hacked the HumaGear.
  • Aruto as Zero-One Flaming Tiger accidentally burning himself, while Vulcan fakes a cough to stifle his laughter.
Aruto: Wow, this is awesome! *suddenly struggles to control his fire powers* Ow that's hot! Me-ow! Me-owwww!!
Isamu: *corpsing* This gag is too much...!
  • Aruto's Flaming Tiger pose when next to Vulcan shows him briefly acting like a cat, lifting his curved hands and fingers to his face and making a cat sound.
  • Aruto is excited to see the new manga's character... only to see it's actually based on Vulcan, not him.
    Aruto: It's not me...?
    Is: And that's not Aruto!note
Aruto: No, that's not how you use it...

Episode 6: I Want to Hear Your Voice
  • In one scene of the Gaeru Magia attacks on Zero-One, she attacks him by putting his head inside her mouth. And when she launches her bomber attack with Zero-One's head still inside, thus creating a loud explosion, Jin can be seen looking away quickly and covering his ears. Reminder, Jin is in his rider form at that time.
  • Aruto doing the usual comedic shtick at the end of the episode, with Is trying to make one of her own, complete with Aruto's catchphrase.
  • When Aruto transforms at the audition, Is calmly steps to her left to give space for Rising Hopper.

     Episode 7: I am a Hot-Blooded HumaGear Teacher!
  • Aruto is confused as to why the school wants them to reset the HumaGear, as he seems to be doing his job fine. Then we see a group of angry mothers complaining to the principal about their children getting off late because of him and how this will affect their exams...
Aruto: You've got it pretty rough.
  • Horobi builds a hitman HumaGear (whom Jin promptly dubs "Ansatsu-chan/Lil' Assassin") to assassinate Aruto. The hitman replies in an intimidating deep voice... and suddenly switches to a flamboyant pitch accompanied by a goofy face. Then there's also the childish and gleeful reaction between Jin and the HumaGear, acting like he just made a new friend at school.
  • Another funny thing is when Horobi hands out the Zetsumerise Key to use. He acts all ominous, as if it's gonna be a powerful killer animal, and then he hands out....a Dodo Zetsumerise Key.
  • Jin Saying Sound Effects Out Loud while fighting. For a combatant that puts both Zero-One and Vulcan in a hard fight, he sure fights in a goofy style.
  • When Ansatsu-chan/Lil' Assassin is taken away while Jin fights Valkyrie, he's disappointed that Horobi will be mad at him. Later when Jin comes back after the episode's climax to retrieve the Mammoth Zetsumerise Key but can't find it, he's disappointed again that Horobi will be mad at him again.
  • Prior to Valkyrie intercepting, we see Jin and Lil' Assassin acting like students who are about to go on a class trip.
  • Zero One in Flaming Tiger Form attempts a fire attack on the Mammoth Magia, only for it to be absorbed and sent back at him. As he is on the ground trying to put out the flames, Is actually bends over and blows on him like she's cooling a bowl of hot soup.
  • While fighting the Dodo Magia, Vulcan ends up next to Is and promptly "borrows" the Attache Calibur. Not a few seconds later Zero One appears asking for it, only to see that it's gone. He promptly chases after Vulcan yelling for him to return it. Shortly after, Valkyrie shows up "borrowing" the Attache Shotgun.
  • The transformation for Zero-One Freezing Bear form summons a giant polar bear who proceeds to gives Zero-One a literal bear hug.

Episode 8: The Destruction Begins Here
  • Our own CEO's check-up with Mashiro-chan is funny all on its own. He sees Mashiro-chan as though the nurse was an angel in a dream, and then suddenly the nurse lifts Aruto up to measure his weight.
  • Ansatsu-chan is back, and tries to hack a nurse, though oddly enough it doesn't immediately work. The funny part is his goofy reaction to this.
  • Jin asks Horobi how many humans there are and is baffled when he gets the answer. Horobi then presents a rebuilt Ansatsu-chan to him, which leads to Jin getting all over the Magia and then just high fiving it. Ansatsu-chan plays along and just asks Jin not to hit so hard.
  • Aruto pulls off a gag right in the middle of the hospital after his checkup has certified him to be healthy.
Aruto: So I'm leaving this hospitalnote  with a healthy springnote  in my step!! Alright, and that's Aruto!!
*The entire hospital stares in silence*
Is: Scanning for smiles. *swirls around* No results found.
Aruto: You don't have to rub it in...
  • Aruto hears someone laughing and turns around to see Fuwa trying to mask it as a cough. They get into an argument and Isamu claims that he is there for a checkup because members of A.I.M.S have to be fit for duty. Aruto shoots back that he imagined Fuwa is the sort of person who cleans his wounds with spit and vinegar.
  • Fuwa’s hot-headed take against Mashiro-chan is priceless. Her reaction? Offer Isamu a brain scan.
  • Jin cheers for Dodo Magia from the sidelines as it's fighting Yaiba.
  • Aruto blowing a raspberry at Fuwa’s back, then ducking out of sight when Isamu turns around. Is hides behind Aruto at the same time.
  • When Aruto delivers his usual catchphrase before defeating a Magia, you can see Is at the back copying his mannerism.
  • Horobi's transformation scene is hard to be taken seriously when Jin laughs and jumps in the background.
  • Horobi is such a chuunibyou, from brandishing a katana that he uses exclusively to gesture when making speeches to the kanji of his finishers to not looking at the explosions he makes as he walks away from them, that it's virtually impossible not to laugh.

Episode 9: I'll Take Care of Your Life
  • Jin flying around the Gigear as they march in the distance with sheer joy in his voice.
  • Is and Shesta having a passive-aggressive staredown.
  • Aruto's fight against Horobi leads to this moment:
Aruto: If you're fighting for the will of the Dark, then we'll fight for the light!!
    Horobi: ...I don't get it.
Is: He refers to the light of hope from the doctors.
*Is runs and skids into the scene*
    Is: It's a gag.
Aruto: I told you, stop explaining my jokes!
  • Aruto's joke hits Fuwa so hard that he busts his gut while trying to hold in his laughter.
Fuwa: That doesn't mean I have forgiven all HumaGears, o-or anything like that...
Aruto: Such a softnote  reply! Cuz you're Fuwa! Alright, and that's Aruto!!
Fuwa: *hurts himself holding in his laugh* Ow! Stop making unnecessary jokes like that!
Aruto: My joke busted your gut?
Fuwa: That's not what I mean—
    Aruto: My jokes are gut-busting!!
  • When Is confronts Yaiba about her reprogramming Little Assassin (complete with video evidence), Yua's reply of "it wasn't me" is reminiscent of a kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

Episode 10: I am an Actor, Shinya Owada
  • Jin and Little Assassin watch an action scene from a historical movie with the titular Shinya Owada, behaving like two excited children all the while.
  • Jin teases Little Assassin because he keeps losing; the expression of Little Assassin before he responds "I'm not losing" hints that this has been happening for a while.
  • Aruto and Jun volunteer themselves to join in the filming as extras. Just as the filming begins, MetsubouJinrai.net launches an attack on the studio. While A.I.M.S. is dealing with them, Is tries to relay the situation to Aruto via exaggerated gestures. Aruto stares at her in sheer disbelief, until she cues the fight coming into view, causing him to shout out of shock.
Director: Cut!! Mr. President! An extra shouldn't be talking during filming!
    • Aruto later attempts to leave the scene, only to accidentally kick Jun in the side and causing him to break character.
  • Fukuzoe seems to enjoy his role being a victim and playing dead. He even considers taking up an acting career due to how well he played it... which is basically just lying still with eyes closed.
  • Jin gets into trouble fighting both Valkyrie and Vulcan, and calls for Little Assassin...who is nowhere to be seen.
  • During a scene where Owada's character fires a gun, an attack from the battle outside just so happens to hit the building the filming is taking place in, causing several set pieces to fall over (and narrowly missing Jun). Owada can be seen looking at the prop gun in astonishment.
Film crew member: Wasn't that effect a bit overboard?
  • Aruto and Jin practically swapping their weapons during their fight.
  • Jin's retreat after Little Assassin's third defeat, complete with saying bye-bye.

Episode 11: Don't Stop the Camera, Stop Him
  • Jin and Ansatsu-chan behaving like bickering siblings as Horobi praises the latter for his growth, with Ansatsu-chan actually smirking at Jin and Jin going off to sulk in the corner.
  • When A.I.M.S. storms the Hiden Intelligence building, Sanzo tries to grab Jun's arm for comfort, only for Fukuzoe to shake him off. He then turns to Shesta, who turns to stare blankly at him.

Episode 12: The Famous Detective is Coming
  • Any moment with the HumaGear detective, Was Nazutoku. He's just filled with so much ham.
  • Earlier in the episode, Aruto claims to have password-locked his computer with one of his puns but forgot which one. Later, Shester pulls up an entire gallery of them.
Fukuzoe: Why are there so many?! They're all awful too...
    • Sanzo tells Fukuzoe he should try opening Aruto's computer, given his position as Vice President. The first thing Fukuzoe tries is mimicking Aruto's catchphrase. It doesn't work.
    • Even Shesta gets a little moment here:
      Fukuzoe: Say that earlier!
    • Shesta’s scene is even more hilarious when you realize the reason - obviously Aruto wouldn't use his own signature gag as it would be too easy to guess, not to mention he wouldn't have forgotten it. Yet Fukuzoe somehow failed to notice this.
  • One of the police officers saying Fukuzoe’s name as "Makizoe". Kazuya Kojima's (His actor) running gag as a comedian is his last name getting mispronounced (because the Japanese spelling can be pronounced Fukuzoe and Makizoe) and then correcting it afterwards, whether intentionally or not.
  • Was dropping the revelation that he's Is's older brother note . Seeing Aruto shocked is funny in and of itself, but Is's widened eye expression is something to behold. Immediately after their reactions, Was immediately starts acting like a fanboy meeting his idol for the first time.
    • When trying to get answers from Is, there's a moment where she just does not move at all, with Aruto thinking she froze from shock. She simply replies that she interpreted the remark as a malicious joke.
  • Is initially believes that they should give up on Was. Why? She's been growing weary of having to follow him supposedly fooling around at several festivals. Aruto asks if she was angry but she doesn't comprehend the meaning of it even though she is angry.
  • When delivering the Shining Hopper Progrise Key, Is runs at extremely high speeds, and slides low to the ground to slip it into Aruto's hand. It should be noted that her running is actually just her walking really fast while keeping her arms in her idle position and doing small struts. So, if you really think about it, it looks more like she's power walking very fast.
  • When authorizing Progrise Keys, the satellite There will beam down robotic representations of the key's respective animal. What does it beam down for Shining Hopper? Rising Hopper on top of a larger shiny grasshopper.
    • Even Fuwa's confused, looking on like "What the fuck?"
  • Turning into Shining Hopper also gives Aruto a well-defined six-pack.

Episode 13: My job is the President's secretary!
  • Is apologises to Was for being rude and suspicious of him. Was is excited and invites her to embrace him and call him Big Brother. However, Is, like a woman, outwardly refuses to do so.

Episode 14: We Are The Astronaut Brothers!
  • Aruto's first scene in this episode? Being late to work, again.
    • To get there faster, Aruto calls down the Rise Hopper... seconds after Spaceman Humagear Raiden and Spaceman Humagear Subaru had just re-inserted it back into Zea, and it shoots back out, sending Subaru flying.
    • Adding the funny is that somehow, Aruto literally called a bike from outer space with quite a number of people around, and nobody bats an eye.
  • After the above happened, Raiden angrily takes off his helmet, saying he plans to "bring down the thunder". Meanwhile, Subaru casually says that he shouldn't take off his helmet in space.
    • Becomes funnier when you discover that in the next series the thunder-themed Espada wields a sword named Ikazuchi.
  • Aruto runs into his office, thinking he's on time as he looks at his wall clock. Jun looks at him in his chair deadpan like "Nope."
  • Raiden's aggressive nature as he and Subaru burst into Aruto's office is enough to terrify both Fukuzoe and Sanzo.
  • Aruto apologizes for his actions, and Subaru thinks his apology is enough. Meanwhile, Raiden begins to tear into Aruto, saying he's not doing good at his job, while Fukuzoe starts doing the same. Suddenly, Raiden turns on Jun and begins ripping into him, saying he's not doing good at his job either, to which he can only reply with a soft "sorry".
Aruto: I guess HumaGears can get mad, too.
    • As Raiden lets him go, Fukuzoe and Sanzo cling onto each other terrified out of their minds.
    • Raiden is still not enough with Aruto and decided to drag him into his company's space development center.
Raiden: [grabs Aruto's collar] Get your asses in gear. [drags Aruto]
      Aruto: M-Me?
    • Is attempting to smile at the situation. She really turns those corners up!
  • To break up tension between Fuwa and Raiden, Aruto offers to tell one of his jokes. Isamu immediately bolts to the control panel of the room with his cheeks starting to puff up and barely making it in time to shut down the projector and ruin Aruto's focus.
  • Is skidding into the scene once more to deliver the Authorize Buster to Aruto.
  • Fuwa and Jin arguing over who owns the Assault Wolf Progrisekey.
Fuwa: Why the hell do you have a wolf key?
Jin: Give that back! It's mine!
Fuwa: Nope! If it's got a wolf on it, it's mine.
  • Although it's pretty dark, the text-to-speech message for Assault Wolf Key:
    • Notably, the first time using it, it repeats this twice.

Episode 15: To Each His Own End
  • Despite how grim the episode is, a now hopeful Aruto cracks one of his puns at Subaru, only for the HumaGear to tilt his head to the side in confusion.

Episode 16: This is the Dawn of ZAIA
  • During the company meeting, the board comes to a vote on whether to remove Aruto. Fukuzoe, smirking, raises his hand... only to see that he's the only one to do so. He quickly pretends he was scratching his head.
  • Doubles as heartwarming, but the first thing Is does after waking up is perform a motor test, which involved... Doing a flashy "And that's how you know it's Aruto!" pose.
  • As Aruto and Fuwa are about to transform, the latter snatches back the Assault Grip and tossing away the Shining Hopper Progrisekey while petulantly saying "That's supposed to be mine!". Aruto responds with "Fine, whatever!"

Episode 17: I'm The Only President And A Kamen Rider
  • At one point Gai mentions to Aruto that sale of his product has gone up 724%, to which Aruto mocks for not being 1000%, which actually stuns Gai.
  • Fukuzoe and Sanzo's reaction when they hear about Gai and Aruto's job competition. The funny thing is, he's not even mad at Aruto, but is more puzzled over the fact that the first round of the competition is Ikebana note . Then they glance at a nearby flower vase and begin laughing, complete with Shester's monotonous robotic laughter.
  • Is makes an wordplay on Ikebana and then proceeds to be ridiculously smug as silence settles in until Aruto realizes that she made the wordplay, then Is does the "And that's how you know it's Aruto!" reaction she always does.
    • He seemed both rather jealous of her joke, and horrified that she's picking up his bad habit of making bad puns.
  • Thouser's belt announcements and even Finishing Move card are overabundant with Tradesnark™ to remind people it's a ZAIA product. Even the Transformation announcement sounds like an ad jingle.
    • The Thousand Jacker itself had it reminded the user after every big attack with explosions comes with the announcement, ZAIA Enterprise.
  • This is the third time Aruto tries to use Flying Falcon against Onycho Magia, and for the third time, he failed. First time (episode 4) Vulcan Punching Kong ends up stealing the kill, second time (episode 6) the Progrise Key got snatched before he can even transform, and this third time, Thouser is the one doing the kill. At this point, it's like it has become a running gag.

Episode 18: This is My Floristry
  • Aruto's reaction to Gai being Older Than They Look:
Aruto: This photo's from 12 years ago? B-But you haven't changed a bit! President Amatsu, how old are you?
    Gai: I am eternally 24.
Aruto: What are you, an idol singer?
    • Is then scans Gai, revealing that he's 45. In a rare drop of his Smug Snake mannerisms, his face drops with irritation when she reveals this fact.

Episode 19: She is a Home-Selling Huma Gear
  • In the introduction, Is pulls off a pun on smile. And the ZAIA representative for it called it lame, which caused this reaction from Is.
  • During the second round of the "Five Stage Workplace Competition" (that is house selling), we are introduced to Hiden's representative in this competition, Smile Sumida. Before Sumida suggests which house is ideal for Mr. and Mrs. Ayanokoji (the customers during her introduction), the scene paused for a moment. Is barges in and explains to the audience how she works before the scene resumes, complete with comedic music to complement this scene.note
Aruto: [serving a drink to Mrs. Ayanokoji] Welcome. [serving a drink to Mr. Ayanokoji] Wel-
[The activity paused for a moment. Is appears and tells the audience how Smile Sumida works.]
Is: By cross referencing real estate listings with the customer's personal data, Smile Sumida is able to recommend properties that best suit the customer's needs.
[Is moves away and the scene resumes]
    Aruto: -come.
    • Later on, the same shtick also happens when Is introduces the audience to the construction worker-type HumaGear, Oyakata Saikyoutakumi.
    • Unlike the second scene pause, during the first scene pause, no editing is used. All the actors and actresses, sans Is, actually simply stops moving. If you pay attention carefully, you can notice Fumiya Takahashi (Aruto's actor) slightly shaking, as he's struggling to stay in his slightly unfortunate pose.

Episode 20: That is 1000% the Best House
  • After a new client, Ginnojo Oshiro, buys a house worth of 500 million yen, Aruto's hair rises up. Then he and Oyakata proceed to act like giddy little kids.
  • Oyakata's four "brothers" show up and imitate what can only be described as a Sentai pose.
Aruto: Man, that's a great finish!
Smile: Yes, it's perfect! Don't you agree, Oyakata?
Oyakata #1: Damn right it is!
Oyakata #2: Because we're the best...
    Oyakata #3: ...of the best!
Oyakata #4: And we're all Oyakatas!
Oyakata #5: Alright then, let's finish up the interior!
    All Oyakatas: Yeah!

     Episode 21: Objection! That Trial
  • After the Dynamaiting Lion Raider ignites and tosses a couple sticks of dynamite from the gunblade on its wrist, it lands at Aruto and Fuwa's feet... which immediately leads to a sustained awkward silence as the two stare at each other in confusion before the two sticks proceed to explode and engulf both of them. To put this in perspective, this was the Raider's follow-up to trying to take the two of them out with a high-tech gatling gun made out of pure energy.
  • Aruto picks up a ZAIA Spec that the Raider dropped. Fuwa believes that with it, the owner's identity would be discovered, but Is argues that it's impossible with the security lock. Then Fuwa suggests it be done by force, which Is also rebukes, leading to this:
Is: Brute force will not work. Unless... you are a gorilla?
Fuwa: HUH!? (rushes towards Is, but is stopped by Aruto)
Aruto: Easy! Easy! Easy! Easy! EASY!!
    Fuwa: HUUUH!?
(call back to what Is said)
    Is: You are a gorilla?
    Aruto: IS!

Episode 22: He Still Didn't Do It
  • MetalCluster Hopper debut. Despite being pretty cool and scary at the same time, the end of jingle sounds more like a product advertisement.
    "It's high quality."
    • Bonus points for continuing the Running Gag of Progrise Keys connected to the Ark being very sarcastic and trolly sounding.

Episode 23: I'm in Love With Your Intelligence!
  • While at a matchmaking business, Aruto encounters both Fukuzoe and Sanzo at the establishment, and asks the two what are they doing, with Fukuzoe claiming they are "observing". Shesta, on the other hand, drops the fact that Fukuzoe is actually single, and Sanzo is divorced, to their embarrassment.
    • Meanwhile, while Match believes that he has found Chiharu a good pairing, the HumaGear working with finding Fukuzoe a match tells him that they're still trying to find him one, to his sadness.
  • The match that Chiharu was paired with? Gai Amatsu. Turns out that he's also trying to get married, too, while having ironically signed up for HumaGear services to do so.
    • When Gai is asked to introduce himself, Yaiba instead gives a very stiff, stilted speech about his education and how all his employees love him. Aruto asks her "Are you reading from a script?!", and her embarrassed response makes it crystal clear that yes, she is, and it's about as pleasant as a root canal.
  • Gai tries to tell Chiharu that he is "eternally 24", and Is immediately interrupts him to say he is actually 45. Everyone turns around to look at her, with Gai's expression pretty much screaming: "Listen here, you little shit". Meanwhile, Yua is trying not to laugh.
  • Match describes Gai as "a self-absorbed, arrogant narcissist"... right to his face. Aruto clearly enjoys seeing his rival get taken down several dozen pegs... as does Yaiba, who has to turn away and cover her mouth so her boss won't notice.
  • Match believes that the Raider this week is Chiharu's childhood friend Teruo, who is in disapproval of her increasingly apparent crush on Match. How does he plan to confirm his suspicions? Stage a mock wedding between Chiharu and Match himself.
    • This plan even includes using Matsuda Enji, the HumaGear actor from episodes 10 and 11, as a fake pastor to make the scene believable.
  • Turns out the plan backfires, and Chiharu confesses that she wants to actually marry Match for real. However the latter tells her a HumaGear cannot marry a human, and that they're a bad match. When push came to shove due to her persistence, he breaks her heart by throwing a massive Cluster Bleep-Bomb at her, complete with a sticker of Is crossing her arms covering his mouth.
    • Of all Mass "Oh, Crap!" reactions when this happens, Aruto and Enji's reactions really take the cake; the former covers his ears and starts flailing madly, while the latter does some frantic arm-crossing gestures that scream "Hey, stop! That's enough! Don't say that!"
    • What makes this funnier is that Is is the one who told Match what was the worst thing to say to someone when he asked. When Match is about to say what she told him, she realizes she may have fucked up bad.
    • Meanwhile, Aruto is sitting in the pew, questioning who even taught him that language, not knowing it was Is.
Aruto: Where did he get those words, and who the hell taught him that!?
Is: I am terribly sorry, sir.
[Aruto looks at Is, surprised that she's the one who taught those words.]
    • Even better, people on the r/KamenRider subreddit noticed that this precise scene actually got the show trending worldwide on Twitter, and it shows!
    • And to cap this all off, despite being a Magia, Match manages to retain enough of himself to pointing his index finger upwards and saying "Best Match" at the sight of Teruo and Chiharu falling in love before exploding in a heart shaped smoke and fireworks. Even Gai and Ark possesed Aruto just stared for a long beat at this insanity before they resumed fighting.

Episode 24: Now It’s Our Turn
  • A touching scene with Teruo proposing Chiharu on a sunset beach... Then Match suddenly pops out from his hiding hole on the beach saying "BEST MATCH!"
  • This exchange between Gai and Aruto when the latter finally gain the upper hand for the first time.
Gai: How?! How did you do this?!
Aruto: Hehe. Of course you'd never understand. And neither do I!
    Gai: ENOUGH JOKES!

Episode 25: I'll Save The HumaGears
  • Aruto enters his office in the most hammiest way possible... only to be treated to Is crouching in front of a fan with an icepack on her head, making "Ahhhhh..." sounds.
  • Is believes that she is not operating optimally, with Aruto believing she caught a cold. After he makes a concoction using hot water and dried plum, as well as insert a pun, he backtracks and questions whether HumaGears can catch a cold.
    • He responded with No way!!! on this and another. On the second one, Is makes a peace sign for number 2 when Aruto declared this phrase as part 2.
  • After saying that she is unable to connect to There, Aruto thinks Is has a fever, this time. However, as he touches her forehead to check, she mimics his actions and touches his as well.
  • The fact that Hakase-Bot has a light bulb on his head that lights up every time he realizes something is funny by itself.
  • Fuwa and Is realize that the connection with Zea was severed so Horobi can be broken out like he was last episode without anyone noticing. However, as Fuwa puts it all together, Is interrupts him repeatedly and says the exact same thing he does.
Hakase-Bot: The sabotaging must've been done by MetsubouJinrai.NET!
    Fuwa: That means—
Is: That means the connection to Satellite Zea was severed...
    Fuwa: So that Horobi—
Is: ... so that Horobi can avoid detection.
    Fuwa: I was speaking, y'know!
  • Hakase-Bot reveals he was the one who created Horobi, who was not a terrorist prior to his creation. What was his original function? A father-type HumaGear.
  • As Hakase-Bot successfully deactivates the device severing the connection to Zea, Aruto unleashes another pun. Fuwa immediately puts him into a submission hold while trying not to crack, with Aruto apologizing and pleading with him to let him go.
  • The fact that Is still wears that ice pack on her head for the entire first third of this episode is funny.
  • After confronting Gai about Horobi, Aruto and Fuwa depart to Daybreak Town... only to bump into each other because they forgot which direction it is in and begin arguing. Meanwhile, Is just goes her own way, and the two follow suit.
  • As they make their way to Daybreak Town, Aruto begs Fuwa to slow down because he can't keep up, while Is is far behind, simply walking at her own pace.

Episode 26: We are the Blazing Firefighting Corps
  • The 4th round of the workplace competition involves firefighters rescuing people from a simulated burning building. The "victims" in the basement are all beautiful young women, who shout "Save us!" in a cute manner, eliciting an excited cheer (and a siren blaring) from all the human firefighters plus Aruto. The "victims" on the first floor are muscular men, whose "Save us!" has the opposite effect on the guys, including killing off the siren.
    • Meanwhile, the HumaGear firefighter 119 Nosuke and Is just stands off to the side, not reacting to any of this and listening to Yaiba giving the rules for the competition. The same response could be said to Gai as well, who's stare at them could suggest What kind of idiots these people are?
    • On the next floor where it was smoke rescue, the victims were Fukuzoe, Sanzo and Shesta. Following the Running Gag of Jun being forced to act like a corpse from episode 10, he was forced to do the same for this competition as well. Unlike the first time, Jun did admit he is good at doing this.
    • When a Raider attack causes the building to catch fire for real, a news crew comes in to cover the situation. The anguished reporter laments the fact that she was only there to do a puff piece about a local bakery, and panics far more than anyone actually in the burning building.
Camera crew: Just get in there! Hurry! Alright! 3, 2, 1, go!
Reporter: We-We're here at a fire right now! I just so happened to be doing a coverage on a sweets bakery nearby... in any case that's one huge fire, oh my God!! *cries*
      *explosion happens*
Reporter: *shrieks* Look!! A bunch of people are coming out of the building! Oh my gosh, this is so scary! What the heck is all this!? I've never done anything like this!!

Episode 27: I Will Not Give Up on Life
  • There is a short moment, that just like Asaka Keiichirou in episode 36 of his series, Fuwa, also being a hotheaded individual, dump some cold water on his head.note
  • As Yamashita passes out due to the smoke and heat, Jun tells him not to go, as he's still on the clock.
    • Shesta goes into a genuine breakdown from the heat, like any real computer would... and then she starts spilling Jun's online history.
  • When Fuwa reveals to Gai that a ZAIA employee was the Raider of the last two episodes, the first thing the latter asks is what department does he work for, indicating that either he doesn't even know his own employees or he's just acting dumb. Sadly, both are equally likely.
  • The ZAIA employee in particular, Daiki Kyogoku, is nothing more than a cowardly common man. When Fuwa tells Is to hold Daiki while he confronts Gai, Is makes Daiki do a bow.
  • When Aruto is trying to enter the building to save 119 Nosuke and the firefighters aren't letting him proceed, he uses another Look Over There trick just like in episode 2 to briefly distract them before running into the building with Yua.
  • Aruto is hard at work developing a speech, but has made no progress since he has to seal away his jokes to get a seal of approval. Is points out that he did a joke using different meanings of the word "seal", prompting Aruto to do his following gag, but it is void of his usual spunk due to being so tired.

Episode 28: My Rap Will Change The World
  • At the beginning of the episode, Is summarises the score for the competitions in O and X style, with the display showing chibi versions of Aruto, Is, Gai and Yaiba and their expressions for winning and losing.
    • Points goes to Gai's losing face, which has him pouting.
  • Aruto then tells Is to find a politician HumaGear to be their representative, which confused Is for a while, so Aruto explained what politicians do before he paused to ask if Hiden made Politician-type HumaGears. To which Is replies no and that HumaGears are barred from politics. Aruto completely panics and ask Is what the hell they're gonna do now.
  • Then, MC Check it Out comes in, with the room turned dark in a disco style, and Is suggest a freestyle campaign speech with both Is and Check it Out posing together.
    (Beat)
    Aruto: EHHHHH?!
  • Moving on to the campaign, the ZAIA representative's speech is pretty much a normal political campaign speech but on Hiden's side, it was an open music event, with MC Check it Out rapping, which Aruto was deadpan about it.
    • During the song, Aruto patted on Is as he called out for her before looking at Aruto, all the while wearing the jacket for fans of MC Check it Out and going along with the rhythm.
  • As always, the Running Gag of Aruto's pun received a silent response from the audience, which is then followed with Is going against the Don't Explain the Joke rule again. Both Is and Check it Out posed together again.
  • Fukuzoe, Sanzo and Shesta are against the rapping performance, mainly because MC Check it Out's clothes is too casual and messy on top of him not taking the debate seriously. Then they told him to follow the dress code, as in formal and clean-cut hair. The moment the holographic image of a clean-cut Check it Out appears, Aruto is trying his best not to laugh from how ridiculous it looked on Check it Out.

Episode 29: Our Dreams Won't Break
  • Again, Gai has not learned his lesson since making MetalCluster Hopper by giving a power up item to someone who will oppose him from the get go. In this case, Fuwa, who straight away beat the crap out of him and Yaiba.

Episode 30: After All, I am a President and a Kamen Rider
  • It seemed Aruto had literally taken the bullet for Is. At the same time, Gai is informed that the Humagear Progrise Keys had been taken from the lab. Aruto's answer as to how he survived? He literally wore the keys inside the jacket, which protected him. He even made a pun about it.
    Aruto: The data is here!note
    • Even funnier, the bullet hits the key belonging to Mamoru, the security guard from Episode 2. Mamoru means 'to protect'
  • It's actually pretty funny and satisfying to see Gai utterly defeated this episode. From the get-go, he schemed to acquire the company in order to have access to their technology, specifically the Zero-One system, the HumaGears and their data, and Zea. What he didn't know was that the company never owned those entities -Korenosuke Hiden himself did, who saw to it that Aruto inherited their ownership in his will (which all parts did not stay in one place but in multiple places such as Is, Was, Satellite Zea presumably), rendering Gai's victory from the Workplace Competition completely worthless. To say Gai got 1000% owned this episode is quite the understatement.

Episode 31: Take Off Toward Your Dream
  • Aruto returns to the office to find that the HumaGear that he carted away in the previous episode had been fixed and reformatted. He gave it Shesta’s key, but as she is no longer the Vice-President's Secretary, she decides to overwrite herself by using the Matsurida Z key instead. It concludes with Aruto being the straight man to the HumaGear's joke.
    • The icing on the cake: When Matsurida Z starts dancing, Is joins the dance as well, leaving behind a clueless Aruto.

Episode 32: My Pride! The Runway of Dreams
  • Is had this strange glare of a Clingy Jealous Girl when another female Humagear, Delmo embraced Aruto right in front of her.
  • When Delmo asked who the "surly boy" (Fuwa) is, Aruto explained that Fuwa is a bodyguard for the company and his scowl is actually his serious work face, all while both him and Is scowl to prove their point.
  • Fuwa accidentally walks into women's changing room while trying to find Delmo only to get things thrown at him by the women inside.
  • While the situation was serious in the episode, there was a photo showing Is and Delmo pretty much goofing around hiding in the empty boxes.
  • Apparently, Aruto is not used with being a model on the runway in a model show and he had a hard time catching up with Is who walked ahead without him and its funny enough that his actor had no problem doing that for a real-live model show. Doubles as Heartwarming since they are doing it for Delmo to achieve her dream to walk on the runway.

Episode 33: Are Dreams Important to You?
  • Once again, Aruto unleashes one of his puns and Fuwa is trying his hardest to hold back his laughter. Once Aruto (and Is) does his "And that's how you know it's Aruto!" pose towards Love-chan though, Love-chan swatted it towards Fuwa, making it look like Fuwa took a tennis ball to the crotch.
    • When Isamu heard the pun before Aruto's catchphrase, the expression on his face can be summed up as "Oh no. Not now."
  • Yaiba punched Gai in the face. The funny part is she already ditched the Shotriser, but it looked like she is doing a Rider finisher, complete with title attack card.
    • Just before that, Fuwa casually catches Yua's Shot Riser after she chucked it to punch Gai. The mild shock on Aruto's face makes it all the more amusing.
    • The background music when this happens. It sounds like something from Kill Bill of all things.
  • Love-chan failing and let the tennis ball falls in the background, during Aruto and Izu's conversation
    • He also previously dropped the racket in the background, when hearing Keita's confession.

Episode 34: This is the Path of Death
  • At the beginning of the episode, Midori give Aruto a tasty lettuce and then we saw Aruto pulling a pun with Lettuce, caught the attention of everyone, including Midori just as she exits the room before the catchphrase were done by Izu and Aruto. As you can guess, the room is silenced and the factory manager lampshades what was the need for that.
  • Sanzo being reduced to being Gai's tea lady, complete with maid outfit.
    • When Fukuzoe asks Sanzo what's with the bandage on Gai's face, they talk about how Yua punched him in the face like a pair of gossiping housewives.
    • It turns out Sanzo prepared the tea a bit too hot, and inadvertently burns Gai's mouth. He chastises him, complaining that the tea is at least 72 degrees Celsius.
Gai: The ideal temperature for delicious black tea is 1000%...
      * Fukuzoeand Sanzo look at him expectantly*
      Gai: ...60 degrees Celsius.note
      *Beat*
Fukuzoe and Sanzo: *turns towards the camera* What a weirdo.
  • Yaiba casually knocking out Fuwa, not once, but twice by smacking the back of his neck. Jin is surprised how simply they could have taken him down this whole time.
Yaiba:' I'm used to how troublesome he is.
    • The noise Fuwa makes the first time makes it even funnier.

Episode 35: What Do HumaGears Dream of?
  • After Naki divulges Fuw’s past (off-screen), we see a look of shock on Yaiba’s face, leading us to think that we're about to learn something mind-blowing about him… only for it to be revealed that he was nothing more than a boring, ordinary man.
Naki: There is, however, one interesting factor: his sense of humour.
    Yaiba: What do you mean?
    Naki: For instance…
*with a flourish, Naki discards Isamu's blanket*
Naki: Fuwa's futon flew-away, he should have kept his foot-on it. And that is how you know it is Aruto.
    • Yaiba’s expression is pretty much the epitome of a Flat "What" reaction. Fuwa, on the other hand, actually bursts out in laughter, much to Yua's disbelief.
Fuwa: A futon two-for-one! Futon… two-fer… You doubled it! (falls out of bed)
    • Bonus points for Naki delivering the joke with no expression whatsoever and in a deadpan tone.
  • Aside from Naki, everyone else also copies Aruto's earlier "lettuce/let us" joke and delivers it to him near the end of the episode. And when they all go back to what they were doing, Is still has her arm pointing out with a smile, and Aruto just lowers it for her.

Episode 35.5: What Created Metsubou Jinrai?
  • Izu's actress Tsurushima Noa's performance as Izu's creepy-cute evil twin As, calling to mind the similarly creepy-cute Smart Lady from Kamen Rider 555.
  • Takahashi Fumiya (Aruto)'s performance as As disguising herself as him…but still using the same creepy-cute mannerisms as she does out of disguise. It is hilariously wrong to see Aruto acting like a creepy-cute onee-chan.

Episode 36: I am the Ark and a Kamen Rider
  • Fuwa standing in a line for a visit at a fortune teller. When he's caught by Aruto and Is, he has a deer in the headlights moment and tries to deny there being a line. While in the line.
    • Shortly after, Aruto and Is saw an advertisement about fortune telling. Aruto is decidedly shocked, in the most Aruto-like way possible:
    Aruto: Fuwa's got a...
    ShotRiser: FEVER!
    Aruto: ...FOR FORTUNE TELLING!?
  • Higashinogawa no Haha, the Fortune Teller Humagear, has the over-the-top stereotypical mannerisms of a street fortune teller, but her activation? She cracks up a wide smile that is both hilarious and creepy.
  • Apparently having a lame sense of humor is a trait of the Fuwa family line. Crosses over with Heartwarming.

Episode 37: It Cannot Be Stopped
  • The first thing Naki does as a Kamen Rider? Test their Nihon Ookaminotsume on Gai, resulting in a delayed cut... except all it does it humiliate him by shredding his fancy suit, leaving only his underwear. For added humor, said underwear is ZAIA-branded.
  • Shesta digs up a list of complaints filed against Gai, which totals to about 1843 individual files. Among some things typical of a Corrupt Corporate Executive and Bad Boss tendencies such as plagiarism and harassment, apparently he's so thoroughly indulgent on tea and other pleasantries that he's somehow managed to leave a sizable dent in the company budget while doing so. Sanzo's dumbfounded reaction really sells the point.
Sanzo: That is a lot of evidence!
    • As an added gag, one of the case files suggests Gai really is that insistent on being eternally 24, as he's gotten into trouble for doing so before.
    • Like in Episode 31, Shester still insists that is she is not Aruto's secretary when Fukuzoe was literally in front of him when she was reactivated. It took Fukuzoe to spell it out he was there and Shester replied with a monotone reply, "Oh, you were there?".
    • Then there's Sanzo, whose facial expressions can be compared to a child who wants to pull a prank when suggesting to find evidence to bring down Gai from his position. Aruto and Is call him out for it.
      • He still has this look when Shester managed to find evidence of Gai's complaints.
  • Yua insisting that Ai was the one that told her to apologize to Isamu, rather than admit that she's genuinely sorry for all of the things that she did to Isamu, no matter how minor the incident was. Ai promptly calls her out on her Tsundere behavior—and Fuwa doesn't react to the confession at all, instead remarking on how Ai-chan is really something else, and adding as he leaves that Yua should give her back to him at some point.

     Episode 38: I'm 1000% Your Friend
  • Sanzo's exaggerated expressions continues in this episode. And they are getting progressively worse in hilarious ways.
  • Aruto 1000% scared the soul out of Gai by using the secret entrance into the 3D printing room.
    • The way he talks to Gai is funny as well. His rather indifferent way of talking to him just shows how done he is with Gai's shit to the point where he doesn't even take it all that seriously, bordering somewhere between complete boredom and the demeanor of a disappointed parent whose child got in trouble again.
  • As Thouser and Zero-One start to wrestle in the 3D printing room, Jun gets pushed out of harm's way... Only to hit his head. And then Izu nonchalantly tosses Jun outside the room and into the President's office.
  • The Robot Dog Thouser 2.0 arrives next to Kamen Rider Thouser by doing the same fast walking and drift Izu did in the past.
  • Earlier in the episode, Aruto jokingly ponders is Gai is in love with Hiden Intelligence itself, before dismissing its absurdness. Then comes the last few minutes of the episode and Gai delivers this line, evoking Aruto's disbelief:
Gai: ... I was unable to accept them. You, and your HumaGears... I couldn't stand your business, built on idealistic nonsense. And the reason was simple... it was because I love Hiden Intelligence!
    Aruto: ...No way.

     Episode 39: This Conclusion, Unpredictable
  • Aruto goes through the full transformation sequence for Metal Cluster Hopper, which is usually shortened due to just how long it is. The moment he starts, Thouser II begins to bark and dance along with the belt sounds, prompting a double-take from Gai. Made even better when the AIBO ERS-1000 model received a limited-time update that prompts it to do the dance when it hears Metal Cluster Hopper's sound effects.
  • As Aruto rips into Gai for his actions prior, he gives him a chance to work his way to atone for them. The first thing he tells him to do? Shut up about the 1000% thing.
  • When apologizing to Fuwa and Yua, neither of them are convinced Gai is actually remorseful. Thouser (on Gai's desk) signals him and gets angry at Gai before looking sad, to which the latter starts apologizing to it for making it "cry". Fuwa and Yua's reactions straight up border on either being creeped out or questioning what they are witnessing.
    • Thouser also bows next to Gai.
  • Gai finally goes up to Eida and Ono to apologize for his abuses of power while in control of A.I.M.S. Neither of them are exactly sure what he's talking about.
Gai: I would like to apologize for my previous abuses of power.
    Eida: ... uh.... huh.
    • Later, they redirect their focus to Fuwa and Yua to update them of the attack on Satellite Zea, citing that matter to be more important. Gai almost looks offended by the way they shift their attention almost immediately.
  • A bit of a funny moment during the filming of this episode. One scene has Aruto de-transform midair after being held up by Ark-Zero. Not with a Neck Lift or something mundane, but nanites six feet in the air. Unfortunately for Fumiya Takahashi (Aruto's actor), who suffers from a fear of heights, this meant being hoisted up in the air via crane. It took several takes for the poor guy to get used to the situation he was put in.

Episode 40: Toward My Dream and Mine Alone
  • Though it never actually happened, Izu had to go through simulation after simulation of Aruto's death. Even after he apologizes, Izu is not happy with him at all.
Izu: *turns away* I do not forgive you.
Aruto: I'm sorry. I swear! I mean it!
Izu: *makes an X with her arms* I do not forgive you!
    • Although it's hard to make out and the subs didn't catch it, this continues in the background as Yua and Fuwa are talking, with Aruto offering to buy her a giant Parfait to make up for it and Is reminding him in frustration she's a Humagear that can't eat and Aruto instead offering to do all her work for the next day instead.

Episode 41: Thou, Take Thine Neighbor's Hand!
  • Early in the episode, when Aruto announces that he will save Jin's friends, Fuwa asks if it's his rule, to which Aruto replies that it is. But Aruto doesn't stop there, he proceeds to sing a nonsensical lulululu before ending with his usual "And that, as you know, is Aruto!" And as Fuwa tries to hold his laughter, he finally couldn't contain his laughter...only for an explosion to appear behind them.
  • During a meeting with Hiden Intelligence's Board of Directors, Gai announces his resignation because he realized there's someone more suitable than him to take the role as President, and reaches his hand out to what appears to be Jun. Initially shocked and mentally unprepared, it turns out Gai was talking about Aruto... who had just walked into the room.

Episode 42: As Long As There's Malice
  • As Gai is being removed as ZAIA Japan's CEO, Williamson Yotagaki decides to essentially rub salt into the wound by throwing Gai's nameplate off his desk, and his security detail quickly clearing off his desk to make way for the latter, one guard even rolling in a new chair by deliberatly bumping Gai's chair off-screen and directly into him.
    • Made even funnier when another guard takes away Gai's chair, and he starts running after it.
  • The music that plays when Azu approaches Jin to tell about Horobi becoming Ark is very out of place for how serious the situation is. Doesn't help the music continues into the next (obviously serious) scene.

Episode 43: That is a Heart
  • When Jun, Sanzo, and Shesta are informed of Izu's death and Aruto's turn, Jun and Sanzo initially think Yua and Fuwa are joking and nervously laugh... until they realize that the situation is actually really serious.
  • Even though the context of this scene is everything but funny, Azu's pouty expression due to Aruto basically telling her to piss off is worth a chuckle. She even laments that she went through the trouble to change her own look just to "fit his tastes".

Episode 44: There's Only One Person Who Can Stop You
  • Sanzo in sheer disbelief over the situation only for Shesta to slap him and reaffirm that everything is quite real all right.
  • Fuwa trying to force open the Japanese Wolf Progrise Key, but if you look closely, it's already unlocked. Whether this was accidental or Naki already unlocked it for him it's funny once you notice it.
  • The way Zero-Two manhandles Orthoros Vulcan, who keeps trying to attack him only for Zero-Two to keep swatting him away with little effort as he's walking past. What should be a moment of awesome for Fuwa instead comes off as this for how stupid he keeps acting and how his attacks fail do anything, with him eventually being reduced to pathetically writhing on the ground after his transformation overloads.
  • If Gai's downfall couldn't leave him any more undignified, the episode shows where his "Thouser Department" is: Zaia Enterprise's electrical room. Yes, Gai's desk and personal belongings have been dumped into the basement, where he tries to retain his composure in a bare concrete room filled with brooms and utilities.
    • But at least he still has his tea!

Episode 45: The Future of Each
  • We are treated to Gai's office at the epilogue, and we see not one but five Thousers, all barking!
  • There's something hilarious about Fuwa simply ripping off a car door with nothing but brute strength.
  • Once again, we have Is botching Aruto's catchphrase, with Aruto taking it in stride.

Extras

     Hyper Battle DVD
  • The trailer for the HBV has Aruto and Is narrating it together, until they announce the Pun-Based Title. Cue Fuwa laughing and joining in the narration, fully Chewing the Scenery.
  • The Hopping Kangaroo's abilities is funny all by itself; instead of a 3D robotic animal showing up in Aruto's form change sequence, a 2D kangaroo shows up in its stead.
  • On the beginning, Jin was seen drawing various forms of Magia, which is a hybrid of a few Magia. Then, he took out three of the Zetsumerise Keys and tumbled, causing the keys to get electrified and caused Ark to merge them.
  • Aruto transformed and fight against the Magia that Jin affected. He had trouble fighting because the Magia was too tough. When Is went to ask if her president is okay, Aruto said his butt is not alright.
  • Aruto ask for the Flaming Tiger Progrise Key and Is check out the briefcase she was carrying. None of the contents were Progrise Key but rather items for travelling. She scanned and realized she mistook Jun's travelling case. Aruto who was waiting for Is to hand over the Progrise Key then checked out and hold Jun's boxer after being informed by Is there is no Progrise Key.
  • After the fight, Is tried to get into contact with Jun but could not reach him. Aruto believed that the Vice President is slacking off and relaxing in a sauna. Is checks out the travelling location and indeed confirm that Jun did intend to go there.
  • Due to having failed her president, Is decides the best course of action is to dismantle herself. She took out a rather large spanner and started twisting her neck, causing Aruto to panic and stopped her.
  • Is then asked Satellite There to come up with a solution for the Magia. However, There had no idea what to produce, causing it to go on a Broken Record. Aruto demanded to make something while slapping the printing hands and suggested that There checked into Aruto's Memory for inspiration but Is lampshades that There cannot read human memories. Aruto started being impatient until he get electrified and started to cause a big mess on the lab. During that mess, a guidebook from Jun's case entered the printing room on the table.
  • The Magia appears again and Aruto went to stop the enemy. There started producing a progrise key based on the cover of the book that was thrown inside.
  • In the mid of battle, Is arrived and handed over the Hopping Kangaroo Progrise Key while having no idea what it is when asked.
  • Aruto seems baffled when the key said "pocket" but proceeds to use it anyway. While it is helpful, previous Humagears then started coming out from his belly and shoulders, scaring Aruto. This was even justified that the text to speech phrase supposedly hinted about Doraemon.
  • Isamu came to help with his Progrise Key, Trapping Spider, which he uses to trap Jin in a spider web. However, Aruto ended up knocking Vulcan in the web, proceeding to finish off the Magia while getting Vulcan and Jin trapped in the attack as well.
  • Aruto forgot to check on Isamu and left to his office. Isamu is still trapped in the spider web and had trouble getting out and the same goes for Jin, who begged Horobi to save him.

    • He plays with Izu's Actor in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, in which they both had a fishing competition, Ryutaro's common finds are nothing compared to Noa's Coelacanth, Ryutaro weeps for a while.

A Miraculous Rematch!? Aruto VS Fukkinhoukai Taro: Fateful Gag Battle!
  • Aruto asks Is if she has already gathered all Humagear keys. She replies yes... only to add that there's one more she hasn't recovered. Cue Fukkinhoukai Taro announcing his arrival and busting his abs, with confetti and the same silicon ab pads sold on Premium Bandai flying towards Aruto and Is, the latter frozen in shock.
  • Aruto is still pretty irritated at Taro for taking his job back in episode 1.
  • Isamu grouses that he was pretty much brought here against his will. Cut to a flashback showing Taro actually dragging him through the streets by the collar, while passers-by can only stare dumbfounded.
  • Two reasons why Isamu is the judge? First, Taro said Isamu does not need laughter, making him the ideal candidate. Second? They are fellow users of the same gym.
  • Fuwa devouring the entire set trying not to laugh at Aruto's jokes. And then he still declares Taro the winner even though he never even laughed at Taro's jokes.
Aruto: Fuwa-san! This isn't a competition to see who is stronger!
  • After seeing Aruto's reactions in the competition, Taro declared that Aruto is better at being a straight man (tsukkomi) and that he is not a funny man (boke), to the latter's shock.
  • If you liked one Taro, well thanks to Fuwa, now there's two! And after the second model, Fukkinhoukai Jiro, is created, both Taro and Jiro proceed to bombard the room with their abs.

Kamen Rider Reiwa: The First Generation
  • Aruto wakes up from his dream and then try to go to sleep while staring at the clocks that displayed 10 minutes after 8 in the morning. Then, he screamed as usual while riding on the Rise Hopper because he was late to work... again.
    • Then followed by him unable to get past the security gate despite doing it right this time and got intercepted by Mamoru.
  • Tsukuyomi, Geiz and Sougo realized they were late to class and sneaked inside by crawling while not noticing their classmates are all Humagears and when Tsukuyomi suddenly asked what Humagear is, the whole class suddenly become quiet and stared at the trio before the riot begins.
  • When Aruto transforms to fight Another Zero One in the prologue, he does his usual pose... and then notices the usual metal grasshopper hasn't descended from above to hop around him. He even repeats the pose one more time before starting to freak out. Cue a crashing sound from below (which even pauses the standby music) and Aruto spins around to see the metal grasshopper poking its head out with a little chirp.
  • Tsukuyomi's beleaguered reaction to an attacking group of Trilobite Magia and the effortless way she got rid of them via time manipulation. Just stop, redirect weapons, walk away and they take each other out on release.
  • While running away from Humagears that chased after them, Isamu and Aruto had this slow frame moments that display their response while Yua does not bat an eye and fight normally as she drove. In the end, Aruto and Isamu ended up embracing each other, to the latter's disgust when he realized that.
  • During the Final Battle against Another 1, Zi-O finally breaks out the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch, and Zero-One reacts to his grandiose transformation in the only way anyone without context would.
Aruto: Huh? Who are they? Wh-Whoah! They merged with you!
  • As history is restored to normal, there are these two moments:
    • Isamu tells Yua he had a nightmare of being a Humagear and the latter quipped that the former is quite neanderthal (uncivilized) to be one, to his annoyance.
    • Aruto made a pun of Shishou and did his signature pose with Is, but her arm position was wrong, leading to Aruto trying to adjust the position for her. Then she tried to explain the joke to his dismay again.

Kamen Rider Zero-One Short Anime: Everyone's Daily Life
Episode 1: Izu Gives Him A Tour of Hiden
  • While being given a tour of Hiden Intelligence, Aruto says he wants to go to the HumaGear Development department. Izu takes him everywhere but there.
  • The fact that Hiden Intelligence's Sales and Advertising department takes up sixteen floorsnote  alone, and then miscellaneous departments take up the next nineteennote .
    • These departments don't even get a name, they're just called "miscellaneous departments".
  • As Aruto and Izu reach the 40th floor, Aruto somehow gets winded... riding an elevator.
  • The 40th floor houses the Security department, and it's filled with Mamorus. Made even better when Aruto notes that he's the only HumaGear that he's seen on the tour minus Izu, and then a bunch of Mamorus start streaming out a door.
  • Izu explains that the cafeteria's employee system is able to predict and recommend dishes that an employee wants to eat, including Arutonote . What does it recommend for him? A boiled butterbur shoot.
    • Made even better when the recommended dish only gives Aruto one boiled butterbur shoot. Just a single shoot, all by itself.
    • Aruto doesn't even know what a boiled butterbur shoot is... despite the name being exactly what it sounds like.
    • Izu also explains that if Aruto picks the recommendation, that's all he's going to be able to choose.
    • Why was Aruto given a boiled butterbur shoot, to begin with? According to Izu, he's done nothing except snacking the entire morning, and somehow the system thinks that the shoot will balance the caloric and nutrient intake.
  • Izu also explains that the weekly recommendation is an option for Aruto, with last week's being meat and vegetable stir-fry. What's this week's? Boiled butterbur shoot. We're not making this up.
  • When Aruto asks if there's anything else to eat, Izu says that yakisoba pan note  is an option. Aruto decides to go with that, and Mamoru appears with his dish... except it's a boiled butterbur shoot. Why? Izu decided Aruto shouldn't be picky, and uses that as leverage against him in return for taking him to the Development department.
    • Aruto finally eats the shoot, and likes it. And then a bunch of Mamoru arrive at the cafeteria, all holding butterbur shoots. Why? Because Aruto previously said one shoot won't fill him up, so they all brought one.
    • Even better is that one of the Mamorus has food particles on his face, and is carrying an eaten butterbur shoot.
    • Aruto complains that he can't eat all the shoots, and Izu says she won't taking him to the Development department unless he does otherwise... and then even more Mamorus show up... also carrying butterbur shoots.
  • The credits sequence shows Aruto eating a bunch of butterbur shoots as plates of them appear one by one in front of him.

Episode 2: Fuwa and Yaiba Get Excited About That

  • Fuwa for some bizarre reason decided to cling onto a stop sign and act like a cicada on his day off. Even more bizarre is the fact that he somehow thinks acting like a cicada will make him the "king of nature".
    • Made even funnier is his shocked expression when Yaiba tells him that cicadas are not the "king of nature".
  • When Yaiba tells Fuwa he should rest on his day off, he claims he's so serious to the point where he can't let up. When he says this, the art style completely changes! Even Yaiba makes a note about the change!
  • We find out Yaiba enjoys her days off at an amusement park. When Fuwa shows up in his work-out clothes, Yaiba decides to change it up. How does she do so? With cat ears, for the both of them.
  • Turns out that Fuwa has never been on a rollercoaster before. His first time on one consists of him screaming his lungs out in terror.
    • He later enters a haunted house, and is terrified out of his mind.
    • Even the spinning tea cups has him feeling a bit queasy.
  • Each time Fuwa and Yaiba go to an attraction, they go eat food right after. While they eat, Fuwa's questioning how much Yaiba can actually eat.
  • Yaiba tells Fuwa the next attraction they're going to is "cute". What's this attraction? A drop tower.
  • After they finish with a parade, Yaiba says there's two more sets left. Fuwa naturally has enough and resorts to cling to a flag pole and become a cicada again.

Episode 3: Their Secret Game

  • Metsuboujinrai members were playing Batsu-game (Punishment game) in which the rule is one had to act in certain way when someone said something. If they did it incorrectly, they got punished. The thing is, the game is designed for humans. So when Horobi got his forehead flicked, he was thrown into the wall with enough force to crack it.
    • How Naki suggested the other members to say yay when either one of them declare '<Name> will start' and say Metsuboujinrai game to make the game more lively. Given how the members speech were monotous, it becomes hilarious when they start the game again and again.
  • Jin's punishment was him having to impersonate someone. He goes with Aruto, and it's so bad, a lamp and a computer monitor crack.
  • Naki did kabedon to Ikazuchi, complete with an art-shift to Shoujo manga.
    • On top of that, Ikazuchi's blushing during the act!
      Ikazuchi: kyun <3
  • Because all members refused to lose, the game ended with their hideout being destroyed. While Horobi and Jin were cleaning up, Naki did another kabedon with Ikazuchi... and he still blushes!
  • A bonus scene after the episode ends has the actors play the game for real, albeit still in their respective character's role. Not a single one of them were able to hold it together.

Episode 4: What Does He Do After That?

  • The episode was made in a documentary-style format to "boost the Thouser Department's PR", in which we learn and see some... interesting tidbits of Gai's daily 9-to-5 life.
    • Gai has his own personal-blend of luxury tea. What's it called? Nice Gai.
      • Though fixed at 60 degrees Celcius note , Gai wants to bring it up to 1000 degrees. Even the narrator is confused.
Narrator: Does the water evaporating bother him? It doesn't show.
    • Basically Gai's Thouser Department has no actual purpose, so he gets to do what he wants. Cue several shenanigans when asked to fix or do something:
      • Making a Rube Goldberg machine with the sole purpose of fixing a faucet... complete with a drone!
      • Refilling toilet paper with enough to spell out "1000"... with even more toilet paper rolls behind it.
      • Replacing a conference room light that went out by installing a disco ball and strobe lights.
      • Delivering heavy packages by throwing them across the room.
      • Even better is that each label on the package is a company or institute from past Kamen Rider shows. There's one for Smart Brain, Yggdrasill, The Kougami Foundation, Genm. Corp, and Jonan University.
    • Yua is asked what was Gai like when he was president. Her answer was... interesting.
Yua: Ummm... He's always... wearing white clothes... ummmmmmmmm... qlways... in white clothes.
      • Later, when asked what she would associate Gai with? Yua answers with a dog. Cut to Gai in a car with at least seven Thousers.
  • As it turns out, Yua didn't know what her presence was even for. When she finds out, Gai asks her to show it to A.I.M.S. Cue this exchange:
    Yua: No way!
Gai: What? You're in it! Why not?
Yua: I didn't know it was for this. It'll be a pain.
Gai: Yua, are we not friends?!

     Kamen Rider Zero-One: REAL×TIME
  • The trailer shows Makio Nodachi ended up captured by Gai and Fukuzoe, and losing his clothes during the interrogation. The fact that Taro joined the interrogation only increased the humorous factor further, if to paraphrase Makio, 100 percent.
    • The full scene involves more Humagears brought back from past episodes - Bingo Bengoshi is there to explain in legal terms how much trouble he's in, Mashiro the nurse is there to crack him via foot reflexology, and Fukkinhokai Taro...for shits and giggles, pretty much. And also prove how possibly lethal his abs are given one grazed his cheeks and the other ones impaled in the wall.
    • Jun and Sanzo completely flincing at the foot reflexology performed on Nodachi.
    • And just to hammer things even further, they use the infamous "Wow!" sound effect from Fairy Tail, which in turn taken from Parodius.
  • Isamu has to face down a remotely-controlled Raptor fighter already in flight, and turns into Vulcan Punching Kong - except that we only hear the "PUNCHING" out of the belt before the fighter jet slams into him and sends him out of the scene.
    • Fuwa ends up losing his grip and gets sent flying backwards, causing Jin to yell out "Gorilla~!" before just passively write him off to focus on the jet.
  • Our heroes start going after Thinknet users where they're most vulnerable, from wherever they're login at rather than their avatars on the streets - Yua and Naki rope in Shester for some reason, and find one such guy hiding in a library, taking him down by having Shester pull a figure four leglock on his neck.
  • Shesta, Jun, and Sanzo decide to practice laughing for when Aruto returns... except it comes out rather stiff and forced.
  • Is as Zero-Two is all kinds of badass, but there's something hilarious about how well she manages to keep her "arms crossed over the torso" pose even as she performs her Finishing Move alongside her boss.
  • After the final battle, Jin playfully asks if Isamu wants to join metsubojinrai.net and Yua says that's actually a good idea, since he's technically still unemployed. Isamu calls that out as a low blow.
    • And then Gai offers all of them a job at ZAIA... prompting the other riders to say "no" and walk away.

     Miscellaneous
  • During the henshin course video, the text to speech sounds keep repeating, prompting Aruto to ask about that. Is ignores him.
Aruto: Huh? What's that last thing it said? This one. Hey, Is. Are you listening?
Aruto taps on the screen showing Is.
  • Several from the opening credits:
    • Aruto struggling with a large stack of paperwork on his desk. Is arrives with more paperwork, culminating in his entire desk covered in files and him slumped over in despair. And then several files fall over and hit him on the head. What makes this better is that Is bows her head at the same time as the papers fall on Aruto as if she knew it was going to happen.
    • Jun stands proudly beneath a large portrait of himself, with Sanzo and Shester in tow... only for his portrait to fall off and reveal one of Aruto in a goofy pose and facial expression. Jun and Sanzo both react in horror, while Shester doesn't even bat an eyelid.
    • All the Riders at the end of the opening are in rather conventional poses save for Valkyrie, who is doing… a kickflip mid-air, for some reason.
  • The reason for the running gag of Isamu having to pry open his Progrise Keys, even the one Yua intentionally gave to him? He's the muscle of the Aruto-Isamu-Yua trio (with Aruto representing balance and Yua representing speed), so naturally, he just punches his way through and has never realized he's been doing it the wrong way, and that there's a simpler method. As explained in the official TV Asahi site for Zero-One, the Progrise Key's hinge in the series is a lock that will open simply by triggering the authorization via Zero-One Driver or Shot Riser. Isamu, on the other hand, always tries to open the Progrise Key first before triggering the now pointless authorization.
    • Hilariously although he does show a notable amount of strain breaking the keys open initially as well as every time he gets a new one, as the show goes on he starts opening them with seemingly little effort suggesting that after breaking them open repeatedly all show he's gradually ruined the locks to the point they don't even really lock anymore.
  • Depending on one’s sense of humor, some of Aruto’s Incredibly Lame Puns can either be So Unfunny, It's Funny or might land and elicit an actual chuckle. If nothing else, Izu plays off of his jokes pretty entertainingly.
  • In Zero-One's first appearance in Kamen Rider Zi-O: Over Quartzer, he's shown as something of a menacing figure with Woz introducing him. In his actual first appearance in The Stinger, he arrives by leaping over Kamen Rider Zonjis... and crashing into a garage wall.
  • As a tie-in to a cosplay item set based on A.I.M.S., named DX AIMS Narikiri Set, Ryutaro Okada (Fuwa) and Hiroe Igeta (Yua) filmed a tie-in video, titled "A Day at A.I.M.S.". And it is comedy gold.
  • The subtitles for the Japanese broadcast of episode 26 had "burning" rendered as "Bearning". Some people even actually looking up the definition of the word.
    • As of the announcement of the limited release DX ZAIA SlashRiser, it's actually read as "bearing."
  • A small one, but Nachi Sakuragi, the actor portraying Gai Amatsu/Kamen Rider Thouser, has stated that he wants Gai to be the most hated character in the franchise. Even the guy playing as Gai can't stand him. Alright, and that's Aruto!
  • After the airing of episode 38, Takara announced a new figurine of the AIBO dog that portrayed Thouser in the Zero-One show, calling attention to the scale suggesting that buyers pair it with “suitable action figures”.
  • As of episode 45, the series has amassed a staggering 12 dedicated Drivers for heroes, villains, and mooks alike. Hiden Aruto's Zero One Driver, the A.I.M.S. Shotriser, Metsubojinrai.net's Forceriser and Zetsumeriser, Jin's Slashriser, Thouser's Thousandriver, Ichigata's Cycloneriser, the Ark Driver, the ZAIA Raidriser, the Zero Two Driver, Horobi's Zetsumetsu Driver and the mysterious Eden Driver. It goes without much saying that Zero One in this regard, shatters the previous record held by any prior Kamen Rider series.
    • Zero One's summer movie REAL×TIME ups this record with two new Drivers! In the form of the Slash Abbadoriser and Shot Abbadoriser as new mook Drivers separate from the Shotriser and Slashriser, despite that they're really just repaints of the aforementioned gear.
    • Not long after the trailer drops for the metsuboujinrai.net movie, we get yet another new Driver reveal in the metsuboujinrai.net Driver!
    • A full 3 years following the conclusion of the main series, and Kamen Rider Outsiders has given us yet another new Driver, heralding the arrival of Kamen Rider Zein!
  • To promote the first v-cinema and the Super Sentai VS movie coming out in August, we have this lovely video of MBJR performing the Kiramai Dance. The main highlight is Yamaguchi (Raiden's actor) barely following along to the dance.
  • The naming scheme for Rider attacks and Finishers in this series usually follows some form of verb + "-ing" + action corresponding to the Driver, with notable exceptions including Thouser's "Thousand Destruction" and Ark-One's "Perfect Conclusion". Kamen Rider ZAIA, the primary antagonist of Zero-One Others: MetsubouJinrai, while an imposing and credible threat to the titular quartet, comes equipped with a Finisher just as hammy as his performance, leaving no room for who or what he is.
    Thousandriver: C.E.O! Destruction!
