Chapter 1: In the Beginning, There Was a Flame Swordsman.
  • The fansubs were having quite a bit of fun, since apparently the episode is sponsored by Hiden Intelligence, ZAIA Enterprise, ORE Journal, Genm Corporation and, of all people, STORAGE.
  • This little exchange that almost seemed to call out any procrastinating writer out there.
Mei: Does that mean... *Small fist pump.* You're done?
Touma: That's right. *Points to his head.* Up here, that is!
Mei: *Smile disappears.* Then hurry up and write it down!
  • One of the first things that Mei does when she's in Wonder World: take a bunch of pictures of the scenery.
  • When the flower is closed up, Mei is yelling about how everything hurts... while ignoring the fact that she is sitting on the beat-up Touma.
  • Just the sheer awkwardness of Rintaro saying Homo sapien instead of human.
  • Mei bawling over the fact that the photos she took disappeared.
  • Rintaro entering the Fantastic Kaniyama Bookstore on a mechanical lion-thing asking Touma to hand over his Swordriver and Rekka to him, all with a smile on his face. Yeah, pretty sure that isn't going to freak out people. Touma's reaction basically says it all.
Touma: *camera dramatically zooms in on his face* Who the heck are you?!

Chapter 2: The Swordsman of Water, and a Blue Lion.
  • Rintaro's lack of social skills reaches Refuge in Audacity levels.
  • For being a dedicated swordsman and Kamen Rider, just the sight of a pastry on the table in the bookshop makes Rintaro lose his train of thought.
  • Mei called the portal between the worlds Door to Anywhere, referencing Doraemon, before Rintaro corrected that it is called a Book Gate.
  • Mei coming in on a bicycle to enter Wonder World. It works.
  • The fact that Rintaro still calls Touma and Mei Homo sapiens.
  • Rintaro's dumbfounded reactions to Touma using the Jackun-to-Domamenoki Wonder Ride Book:
    • Touma inserts it into his Seiken Swordriver, in which Rintaro protests that it's too early for him to use two volumes. Turns out it worked perfectly well, and Rintaro retracts his statement.
    • When Touma starts shooting the ground, Rintaro tells him that there's no point in attacking from below and to attack from above instead... only for a massive beanstalk to appear where Touma shot. Rintaro meanwhile looks up absolutely confused.
      Rintaro: Wait, what?
  • Touma poking the leafstalk on his left arm when he's transformed as Dragon Jackun.
  • Rintaro going on a tangent about how he really shouldn't take the eclairs, but at the same time argues that the sugar might be good for his brain. Mei calls him out for thinking out loud.
  • Kento coming into Fantastic Bookstore Kaniyama on a magic carpet, casually saying "It's been a while, Touma". On the other hand, Touma is once again utterly baffled.
Touma: *camera dramatically zooms in on his face* Who the heck are you?!

    Chapter 3: A Father, and a Swordsman.
  • Mei's first reaction to Kento: comment about how hot he is.
  • After Mei snaps Kento and Touma out of their fantasy sequence, we get treated to the sight of them hugging each other just like the fantasy. The both of them promptly stop hugging each other.
  • When Rintaro is trying to get Kento's attention, Kento immediately goes after the eclairs and starting eating one on the spot, which obviously makes him and Mei disappointed. Rintaro tries to go for one, but gets shoved off by Touma, who eats another one of Mei's eclairs.
  • Buster makes quite the Dynamic Entry... at the expense of Touma and Rintaro getting blasted by the debris. Becomes a Brick Joke later on when Rintaro tells Touma to duck from Buster's Finishing Move.
  • After Buster defeats the resurrected Golem, we cut back to the villains where Storius delivers a Stealth Insult to Legeiel, saying he's impressed that he's so calm that his monster was defeated so quickly. Storius then quietly snickers at his own joke, while Zooous openly guffaws. During all this, Legeiel is very subtly fuming.
  • Ryo's reaction to Touma screams pure disappointment. He even explains it as much when he meets up with Sophia.
  • Mei simply drags Sora against his will to leave Touma up to his writing. It obviously doesn't work out as well as Sora disappears via an AlterRide book.
  • The first time that Touma uses Peter Fantasista is less than impressive. Instead of using the chain to attack the Megid, he uses the chain to grab on to the Megid's mouth, and then a fairy carries the chain up, and starts swinging them around like punching bags. Rintaro is once again utterly flabbergasted.
Rintaro: Why are you using it so unconventionally!?

Chapter 4: I Opened the Book, and Therefore.
  • During a serious scene between Touma and Ryo, we have Ryo shoving Rintaro out of the way. Rintaro falls off-screen in a comical fashion.
  • Before exiting the base, Rintaro comes back in to acknowledge the others before closing the door behind him.
  • Saber Dragon-Hedgehog-Peter Form's finisher involves a buffed-up flaming Tinkerbell (or at least Peter Fantasista's analogue to her)note  being thrown like she was an Olympic hammer, clothes-lining the MOTW and exploding into a million spikes. Mei is left completely unamused while Sora just thinks that it's cool. Rintaro is completely baffled once again, but he lets it slide because it works.

Chapter 5: My Friend, the Thunder Swordsman.
  • Tetsuo's first proper introduction in the series: he calls Ryo annoying, immediately takes Touma's Swordriver, says that Rekka is weeping, and immediately gets to work in 15 seconds flat. Then he has to pry Brave Dragon out of Touma's hands.
  • Ryo spraying himself with soda after faking out Kento in an attempt to cheer up the latter. Ryo even laments his drink running out.
  • As Calibur mentions he's keeping his focus on Saber due to a reason related to Avalon, Rintaro and Mei appeared seemingly close by and shocked from supposedly having overheard Calibur, but it turns out they're in a completely different area and distracted by a lottery booth, of all things.
  • While Rintaro and Mei are taking a break from their investigation, Desast just casually walks in behind them.
Mei: If we find something through this, I can join you guys, right?
Desast: I suppose I can consider it.
Mei: For real?! Heck yeah! (holds Rintaro, who quickly shakes that he didn't say that)
  • Saber Dragon Eagle form's finisher involves him whipping up a tornado and then leaping into it to ignite it in flames, but once that dispels Saber comes out of it extremely dizzy from the spinning.

Chapter 6: Like the Wind, He Appears.
  • Ren/Kenzan's first instinct upon seeing Touma? Call him a 'scrub'.
  • Touma and Ren's "rivalry" begins with the two dueling... with rolled up magazines.
    • On top of that, Ren goes full-on troll mode on Touma, calling him a scrub or saying "You mad?" with the widest smile ever.
  • Saber's Dragon Eagle Buta-san's finisher continues the trend of unorthodox but effective finishers: Saber summons and narrates a slightly-modified version of The Three Little Pigs, who invite and trap the Piranha Megid into their house of straw (while they escape from the back), before Saber creates a tornado that blows the house away and destroys the Piranha Megid with it. Espada then calls him out (while fighting Desast) on the story errors.
Espada: Wasn't it a wolf that blew it away?!
  • Touma manipulates Tetsuo's Hot-Blooded Bad Liar tendencies to not only admit there is a forbidden book in the Sword of Logos' library, but also in helping him to retrieve said book.
Touma: *points to random books* It's this (button), this and this!
Tetsuo: NO! It's this, this and this! (Beat) AHHH!!

Chapter 7: The Sword of the King, Lies in Avalon.
  • The trip to Avalon itself is funny enough, but it turns downright hysterical to see Calibur of all people there who is in the background, looking like he's tripping balls.
  • Mei once again gets trapped in Wonder World, and was found by Storious, who intends to use her as hostage against the Kamen Riders. Zooous however, tells him that they do not need such a petty trick, and proceeds to attempt to eat Mei by throwing her high into the air and waiting for her to land into his expanded mouth. Cue multiple cuts of Mei mentally reciting her Last Words with comedic expressions in mid-air, before Blades swoops in and saves her.
  • Remember near the end of the previous episode when Rintaro became furious after Zooous mocked him for not "having a backbone" like his master and not defeating him? The resulting fight of Blades Fantastic Lion against Zooous ended mostly in a Curb-Stomp Battle in the Rider's favor, making the latter seethe in anger from being defeated, a role reversal over what previously happened.
  • Mei excitedly hugging Rintaro for his awesomeness in the battle, flabbergasting the latter.

Chapter 8: The Sealed Is, Arthur.
  • To promote the new Gaim Gaiden involving Bravo vs. Gridon and the CSM Sengoku Driver, Oren Pierre Alfonso and Hideyasu Jonouchi both make cameo appearances this episode as two civilians who get turned to stone. They're just as hammy as they were seven years ago...
  • Rintaro, Ryo, and Ren's reactions when they find out Mei followed them back to base. While Rintaro and Ryo are simply taken by surprise, Ren immediately tries to kick her out, to Rintaro and Ryo's protests. Sophia is actually cool with her staying, as she is a friend of Touma. Though she does warn her it will be dangerous at base.
Mei: *deflated* Oh, that'll do it...
  • Zooous jumps at the chance to go out in the battlefield, only to writhe in pain in his right arm from the last battle almost immediatelly.
  • Saber finally unlocks the full potential of the King of Arthur Wonder Ride Book, which summons a giant sword that turns into a robot. What's even better is the Book's finisher - it turns Touma into a sword! Guess Saber is truly living up to his name...
  • Once Ryo and Sora reunite, he boasts to his son that he was the reason everything worked out in the end. His fellow Riders and Mei call him out on his bullshit.
Ryo: Everything's settled because of me!
Touma, Mei, Rintaro, Kento, Ren: You didn't do anything.
    Ryo: I'm the hero!!
Touma, Mei, Rintaro, Kento, Ren: No way, no way, you didn't do anything.
Ryo: I was also the one who thought of the strategy!
Touma, Mei, Rintaro, Kento, Ren: For Pete's sake, you didn't do anything!
  • Tassel at the end arrives through the ceiling of his house and onto the chair, with the camera intentionally giving the viewers a crotch shot.

Chapter 9: Overlapping, the Sound Swordsman.
  • Touma thanks Daishinji for taking care of the Sacred swords, only to be ignored by the deeply concentrating mechanic. He tries again, still without a reaction. Kento and Rintaro laugh at his failure.
    • Touma tells Daishinji not to bring King Arthur Wonder Ride Book to the battlefield for he is not a swordsmen and it's dangerous. Kento drags him away before he can embarass himself any further.
  • Legeiel and Zooous storm in to confront Storious over their suspion of his ulterior motives. Zooous gets in his face first, but then he is pushed aside by even more steaming Legeiel, who grabs Storious by the front of his clothes. The story Megid is, if anything, amused and gives the myth Megid a pat on the cheek coupled with a sugary Now, now. as if talking to a child throwing a tantrum. Legeiel and Zooous are appalled, but leave him alone for the time being.
  • The sheer irony of Tetsuo being Kamen Rider Slash is hilarious in of itself. The shyest member of the Swords of Logos happens to be the most flamboyant-looking one of them all. Even more ironic is that Slash's powers come from sound.
  • When Slash activates the Bremen no Rock Band, his personality suddenly changes to a Rocker-style.

Chapter 11: Disturbed Thunder, Spreading Dark Clouds.
  • The intro has Tassel in the middle of a phone call before noticing the audience. And during one of his dramatic moments, he accidentally hangs up the phone.
  • Mei excitedly zooms through the Sword of Logos base to find an use for the key she received from Sophia, and once she finds a glowing book that activated the projector downstairs she falls down the stairs and lands in a Three-Point Landing like nothing happened.
  • Saber Dragon Bremen's finisher seems to do nothing... until the animals from the Bremen Band fall onto the Goblin Megid in a Dog Pile of Doom, with the Brave Dragon topping off the pile while Saber dances and finishes off the Megid with a musical slash. It's Fridge Brilliance when one learns that said dog pile is how the Bremen Town Musicians are usually depicted.

Chapter 12: That Place, Where We Made a Promise.
  • In a rather serious moment, we have Ogami reiterating what has been revealed in the past few episodes. Daishinji reminds him that this has all been said before.
  • This week looks like the start of a long-awaited Break the Haughty for Ren/Kenzan:
    • First off, he gets the job of making sure Kento doesn't run off by himself to get Calibur - fast forward to the actual scene, and Kento is somehow already gone. He pulled a Stealth Hi/Bye on the resident ninja.
    • Halfway through the battle already in progress, Slash and Buster are piling the hurt on two of the Goblins while Kenzan spends half the time running after one. And he's supposed to be the Lightning Bruiser.
  • Mei comes in with a bunch of eclairs for Rintaro, only to see that he's somehow gone in the time that she wasn't there.

Chapter 14: Instill Your Feelings, Into This Blade.
  • Rintaro's Henshin into King Lion Daisenki is full of these.
    • His angry face as the Book makes its announcement is overly exaggerated to the point of looking like a child faking an angry face.
    • Mei throughout the entire thing makes silly faces and at the end is doing a happy dance.

Chapter 16: A Ray of Light, That Saves the World.
  • The Sword of Logos, Mei and Sora goofing around Touma's bookstore in preparation for New Year's traditions. Also, they go shopping like if the world has not nearly ended the day before.
    • Rintaro would be picked off by Reika Shindai in a more dramatic manner if he was not distracted by a manual lottery machine and his shopping at moment.
  • Yuri’s transformation into Saikou. He doesn’t turn into a rider by conventional means. Instead, he literally turns into his sword. If it weren’t bad enough, he says he is his sword.
    • A flying sword steamrolling four riders at once is also a sight to behold.
  • After Saikou wipes the floor with the Sword of Logos, any dramatic tension between them and Yuri is quickly shattered when Ren suddenly picks himself back up and starts screaming about wanting to fight some more with all the energy of a child throwing a tantrum over a toy, forcing Ogami and Tetsuo to drag him away.
  • Despite his usually cool demeanor, Yuri is actually a borderline Keet with little to no situational awareness as apparent when he calls meeting Touma wonderful and absolutely misses Saber's Thousand-Yard Stare.

Chapter 17: Is the Ancient Messenger, Light or Shadow?
  • Yuri broke into Touma’s bookstore and upended the place… just to read up on humanity’s advancements in the last 1000 years,
  • Out in public, Yuri realises his clothing makes him stand out and proceeds to change his clothes based on what he sees. Touma’s and Mei’s reactions are funny enough, but at one point he transforms into a skirt.
  • Touma and Yuri having a small argument over him being a human or a sword. All because he refused to drink Bubble Tea.
Yuri: However, I am a sword. I cannot drink.
  • When the Shirayuki Yeti Megid appears, Touma exclaims it's a Megid, then realized the Wonder World hasn't formed and exclaims it's not a Megid, all while posing a little like Hiden Aruto, before Yuri reassures it is, in fact, a Megid, leading Touma to Face Fault.
  • Tassel's introduction ends with him dramatically dropping his wine glass to make a point. The stinger shows him bent over his carpet, trying to pick all the glass shards out of it.

Chapter 18: With A Flaming Tenacity, Strike Down the Megid!
  • Yuri randomly losing focus on his conversation to observe the diorama in the book store finally gets on Mei's nerves... And doesn't stop him from looking at the dragon figure instead and getting startled when it breathes fire.
  • Seeing Legeiel get little too much into playing a mini organ in the Megid's base is both silly and kind of ominious. He even throws in an Evil Laugh.
  • Despite the serious situation and the unavoidable wording, Yuri asking Touma if he can wield him sounds mildly questionable.
  • Mei rants about Rintaro being an idiot while tending to Touma's wound and gets so angry she pulls the bandage little too tight. When Touma yelps in pain in response, she freaks out and frantically apologizes.
Mei: Rintaro, that idiot. That stuborn, little dimwitt.
    • Yuri brushes it off and goes back to inspecting a gacha machine. When Touma confronts him about saving Ms. Yuki, he just chucks a capsule over the shoulder and hits Touma square in the chest, revealing to be a couple of small toy elephants.
  • Touma gets an idea on how to save Miss Yuki by watching Yuri play with a toy toaster.
  • After Ms. Yuki is saved by destroying the Alter Book and Shirayuki Yeti, Yuri lectures Touma with on how risky his gamble to save her was, with Touma agreeing. Then, shortly after, Yuri mentions that letting him (as Saikou) cut the Megid would produce the same result, with Touma once again agreeing, before realizing what Yuri just said and reacting with a "WHAAAAAAAAT?!".
Touma: Why didn't you say so sooner?!
Yuri: I told you from the very beginning! You're the one who stopped me.
Touma: Even so! Wait, get back here!
    • Ms. Yuki screams when she looks up and sees Saber, actually causing him to jump. On the other hand, the scream doesn't even phase Mei, who is holding her at the moment.
  • Legeiel puts a crown on his villainous act after being beaten back by screaming he'll make them pay before scurrying off.

Chapter 19: Flames And Light, Swords And Swords.
  • Yuri gets distracted by Mei's iPhone. He then proceeds to filch it while pretending to walk around.
    • And his distractions doesn't stop there: he forgets to transform to assist Touma because he was reading a comic book, the same comic book he didn't like a couple episodes before.
  • Yuki is freaking out over her experience as a Megid and wonders how she’s going to make the news of what’s happening public to Touma and Mei. Yuri merely wipes her memory of the bad events, causing her to wonder why Touma and Mei are there and who their new friend is.

Chapter 20: Destroying the Stronghold, Is the Will of the Sword.
  • Yuri continues fooling around. This time he learns about an escalator and tries to walk down the one that is going up midway.
  • When Yuri goes on a bike, he doesn't know how to use it. He ends up crashing offscreen.
  • Mei forcing Yuri to transform. She slaps the driver on his waist, opens and inserts the WonderRide Book on the driver, guides his hand to the driver's grip and tells him to say "Henshin".
    • Even better are his faces. He is so done with it and it SHOWS.
  • Mei blasting off again amidst a Megid attack. She is later seen bandaged, wearing casts, and with her hair puffed up. And she only really gets mad they forgot of her and didn't credit her for figuring the Megid's pattern.
  • The Ousama Megid trips over a brick when celebrating the completion of his castle and makes a terrible wordplay on his "Cool Castle"note
  • At the end of the episode both Mei and Touma are badly wounded, and just then Yuri reveals a convenient ability to heal. Despite their overjoyed reaction at their immediate complete recovery, Yuri merely gives a deadpan stare at the camera.

Chapter 21: The Greatest Shine, Full Colors!
  • Tassel attempts to help Yuri look for the book that contains the knowledge of him as a swordsman, spending half the entire episode rummaging through his chest of other swordsmens' books and his pockets... only to find it right inside the hat on his head.
    • And there's a small Tassel sticker in his hat.
  • Yuri hams himself up to eleven, talking and acting like a comic book hero, after regaining his swordsman body.

Chapter 22: Even So, I Still Want To Save Everyone!
  • When Mei's phone rings, Yuri immediately checks his own phone, just like people used to whenever they heard the Nokia ringtone even if they had a different phone or ringtone entirely.
  • Tetsuo giving a sinister smile when he's left alone with Yuri and comments on how this is a good opportunity to look into the swords' ability to split human from Megido. It makes Yuri shudder and frantically look around.
    • It doesn't stop there: When Mei decides to call Yuri to scold him for letting the previous victim (Mami) retain her memory, we are treated to a view of Tetsuo diving towards Yuri, barely missing him, then getting up with quite the smile. And dips into his rocker tone really hard.
    • Yuri's girly yelp during the above is so not him that it makes it all even funnier!
  • After Yuri and Mei brings Touma back to the bookstore, she starts to scold Yuri because not only he didn't erase Mami's memory but he didn't pick the phone when called. Tetsuo gives a massive Oh, Crap! look as the turns away, while Yuri points at him as if saying it is his fault.
  • When Yuri comes to assist Tetsuo, he looks at his driver when he opens it to insert the WonderRide Book, something no experienced Rider (especially him) does.
  • At the end of the episode, Yuri cites a line about what it means to be a hero. Mei soon points out he took it from X-Swordsman. Tetsuo then facepalms in disappointment while Touma still agrees cheerfully with Yuri.

Chapter 23: Raging Hands of Destruction.
  • Tetsuo, Touma and Yuri ponder over how they should contact Master Logos. Mei suggests simply dropping in for a visit. Tetsuo throws the idea out immediately as too crazy to work, but Touma thinks about it for a moment and then decides to go for it because it is crazy enough to work. Yuri just somberly gives a thumbs-up and says "Good idea". This all causes Tetsuo to make an exaggerated face like if their recklessness made his brain hurt.
  • Zooous pouts about how much of a pain it is going to be to get inside the Southern Base. Storious asks him if he is eager to go on a rampage causing the animal Megid to jump from his seat, throw his hands out and yell "OF COURSE!". Legeiel continues to ignore him despite nearly getting slapped and jerking his head away from the noise.
  • Rintaro receives a properly villainous greeting from Zooous after arriving on the scene, which prompts Ren to demand the same.
  • Daishinji and Touma have infiltrated the Southern base. That would be all fine and dandy until an alarm goes off, causing Touma to jump on Tetsuo's back and throw his hands around the older swordsman's neck. His effort to keep a straight face and stay on topic is priceless.

Chapter 24: Upon The Father's Shoulders, Rests His Future.
  • Zooous' cheerful greeting to Legeiel shambling into the Megid's base is just dripping with condescending compassion. Bit rich, coming from someone who was absent from the fight itself. He was running after Rintaro and then probably got lost or something.
  • Sora cheering for his father.
    Ogami: Fight me, novelist!
    Sora: Fight him!
  • Mei's praise to Touma for finding a book in Northern base's library that might clear up something about Primitive Dragon.
Mei: Can't read a word of it, but good job!
  • When Touma happily puts his hands on Yuri and Tetsuo's shoulders, they both give him a disapproving look and he pulls away sheepishly.

Chapter 25: Dressed In Smoke, The Crimson Assassin.
  • Rintaro broodily ignores Mei's attempts to contact him. She finds him anyway and is not amused in the slightest.
  • While Tetsuo is wracking his brain over the Primitive Dragon, Ogami bends his knees, causing him to wooble down.
  • The argument between Touma and Rintaro evolved into a lover's quarrel, according to Mei anyways, who opts to interrupt them to have them calm down because it started to sound like a love confession.
    • To elaborate, Rintaro unloaded everything he has kept bottled up from New Year to now on Touma, who admits that yeah, he really is in too deep and has no idea how he is supposed to continue, but that doesn't mean that he wouldn't want to. Rintaro is still just gaining steam, so he calls Touma crazy and then in the heat of the moment it just slips out that he actually likes that about him. Mei's surprised Flat "What" face serves as an exclamation point to that statement. She processes that for a moment before deciding to break it up before they go from extolling the greatness of Power of Friendship to something that might embarass them later.
    • Mei makes the best faces the moment she realizes how much they sound like lovers trying to confess to one another.
    • She has a crush on Rintaro herself and seems to be jealous after realizing that Rintaro might actually have a crush on Touma.
    • It comes to that anyways, because Rintaro tells Touma that if he can't find a way to stop Primitive Dragon from rampaging, he has to kill him. Touma thinks about it for a moment and then says he will leave it to Rintaro. Such an agreement is basically tantamount to a love confession between Riders.
  • While it was necessary for Sora to warn Touma and Rintaro of the invader, what was not necessary was him pulling the corner of his eyes to squint them, nor to mimic her words.
  • Kamen Rider Sabela dominating Kamen Rider Slash Hansel Bremen sounds like Norn dominating her servant John.
  • When Touma is about to transform to Dragonic Knight, the Primitive Dragon Wonder Ride Book just shoves its way through the Seiken Swordriver, forcing Touma to transform to Primitive Dragon.
    • Even better, he can be briefly seen with a confused look when he realizes what's going on.
    • The irony of him transforming to fight Reika, only for Primitive Dragon to lose interest in her a moment later and attack Daishinji, Ogami and Rintaro. Ogami tells Touma how stupid it was as Primitive Dragon is trying to claw though Gekigo, so it's not like the message would reach him anyway.

Chapter 26: Deep In The Darkness, Allied With The Sword
  • Reika was watching the whole fight without anyone noticing her until she tries to attack Kento at which point Yuri punts her out of the way so she "wouldn't disturb their conversation".
  • While discussing Kento and Kurayami, Mei has stayed surprisingly quiet, to the point that when she softly speaks up Tetsuo jumps with a yelp.
  • Ogami asks how is Kento Calibur now and Mei reminds him that they don't have an answer to his earlier question, that being how he is still alive. In her best attempt at mimicking his voice.
  • Mei packs candies in a jar and shoves it into her purse before she and Touma head out to find Kento.
  • It shouldn't be funny to see Tetsuo freak out when Suzune is sealed, but he dips into his rocker persona a little too hard.

Chapter 27: Turn That Sorrow, Into A Smile.
  • When Tassel meets up with Touma to congratulate him for helping the Primitive Dragon, you can see Touma is making the same face he made when he asked Rintaro "Who the heck are you?!" in the first episode.

Chapter 28: The Past To Write, The Future To Draw
  • Mei is unsure about how to approach Touma regarding her boss' new request. Ogami teases her abou that, pointing out how unusually quiet she is.
  • There is something thorougly surreal about the complete Charybdis acting like a normal, book-loving kid because of the stark contrast with its previous form that would only let out some very out-of-place baby noises and swallow everything around, including Touma.

Chapter 29: In That Moment, The Swordsman Advanced.
  • How does Yuri transport Touma into the Southern Base? By transforming into his sword form, having Touma hold him and then just flying off with Touma holding on to him for dear life.
    • When Yuri flies away with Touma in tow, even Daishinji's usually neutral face is nothing else but Flat "What".
    • Upon their arrival, Yuri de-transforms; due to Touma holding him previously, both of them ends up holding hands. Yuri is quick to release his grip.
  • Rintaro finds out where Sophia is being held and swears to save her. He doesn't get very far with that, because Kento comes in and frees her just a while later.

Chapter 30: We Are Bonded, Even When Apart!
  • Overlaps with a Heartwarming Moment, but Rintaro finally gets to taste that éclair. His first reaction? He found it slightly salty.
    • Yuri also tries to go for an éclair as well, only to have his hand swatted away by Mei.
  • A bit of a black comedy occurs when the Neko Megid reffers to capturing people into her pendants as "crafting". Mei was crafting pins with portaits of the Northern Base swordsmen before being attacked.
  • In the midst of an emotionally harrowing episode, we find Desast trailing behind Ren, egging him on.

Chapter 31: The Strength I Already, And Will Believe In.
  • In a tense scene, Zooous randomly does a backflip after a bragging about defeating Rintaro.
  • When Mei is separated from the Neko Megid she is sent flying off, before landing on her feet with stretched arms and bent knee, vibrating and stuttering "I'm saved!"
  • When Rintaro is about to convey his gratitude to Touma, he addresses him as "Touma-Kun", feeling embarrassed while Touma is excitedly gesturing it as if "I didn't hear it, can you say it louder?", and then Rintaro shouts "TOUMA!" in his ear.
  • While Mei's pins are cute, Tetsuo's pin has him with a very large forehead.

Chapter 32: My Emotions, Become Crystallized.
  • Ogami's reaction to his pin-portrait:
Ogami: Is that supposed to be me?!

Chapter 33: Even So, We Can Still Change The Future!
  • When Yuri comes back, he informs them that Viktor is putting himself together after he has been attacked... or so the Bird told him. And everyone (except Sophia) has a hard time believing a Bird told him so, despite everyone here having seen weirder things.
  • As they are about to leave to search for Kento and Ren, everyone leaves poor Daishinji carrying a heavy stack of books, adding more to it as they pass by him. Yuri is about to add his pin to the stack, only to back down on that and take the pin with him. The way this plays out makes it look like he was proudly showing his pin to Daishinji.
  • Kento is about to walk away from Touma dramatically... then his stomach growls, causing both him and Touma to freeze in surprise momentarily.
  • The ways Desast bothers Ren:
    • Disrupting his peaceful meal time.
    • Enjoying the show from afar while Ren fights Reika.
    • Getting close enough to throw an arm over his shoulders.
  • Yuri gets distracted by a passing oden cart when Mei turns away for a moment, and she spends a good chunk of the episode looking for him. He ends up buying a bowl of oden.
    • Upon finding Rintaro (who had just used Tategami Hyoujuu form), both Yuri and Mei shiver upon entering the area he is in. When Rintaro asks Yuri about the oden bowl in his hand, he replies that the seller told him to eat it carefully. He then blows the steam from the bowl into Rintaro's face.

Chapter 35: Then I, Shall Become A God!
  • We happen upon Ren and Desast both eating instant ramen in a back alley, seemingly now best buddies with each other.
  • When Touma disrupts Master Logos' plan and returns the Seikens to the Riders, both Kurayami and Ikazuchi land at Kento's feet. Kento hesitates like a kid being forced to pick between his two favorite toys, before ultimately choosing to retain Kurayami, leaving his former sword unwielded for now.

Chapter 36: The Power of the Almighty, Has Been Opened.
  • Daishinji actually cuddling Suzune and rubbing his face on the blunt side of the blade.
  • Desast hangs upside down from some construction scaffolding to annoy Ren after finishing his meal. It comes to bite him in the rear a moment later when Ogami's sudden call for Ren causes the Chimera to land on the ground upside down with his legs sticking into the air. Ren hastily flips him upright and hides them both from the searching party of Ogami and Daishinji.
  • Daishinji, while reciting a prophecy, grabs Yuri by a shoulder and holds him close, with Yuri giving a clearly uncomfortable look that screams "That's too close!"

Chapter 37: Who Will Be The One, To Change the Future?
  • When Ren runs off to clash with Saber, Desast can't help but hold his head low in disappointment.
  • The entirety of Yuri's plan to persuade Bahato:
    • For starters, everyone goes off to try and talk the others, and just as Mei is about to do as well, Yuri holds her and reveal that he needs her. She is quite overjoyed.
    • Mei trying to hide behind Yuri in sheer fear of invoking Bahato's wrath. Just him shouting "BASTARD!" causes her to yelp and hide.
    • There's something funny about Bahato himself actually trying to listen to them, when almost every single time he appeared until now he would attack the swordsmen on the spot.
    • Yuri orders Mei to go ahead and show how humanity has changed. Needless to say Mei really doesn't want to be anywhere within ten feet of him.
    • As usual, nothing fazes Bahato, and when Mei and Yuri (specially Yuri, who is quite proud of), shows their friendship pins it seems that they got through him... Only for him to yawn and walk away.

Chapter 38: The Unifier of Sacred Swords, The Galactic Saber.
  • Kento being back in the ending shot of the Trick Eye Museum? Heartwarming. Said shot having him being shocked at Yuri's sword form? Hilarious.
  • There's multiple Toumas in the Trick Eye Museum in at least two of the three shots.

Chapter 39: O Swordsmen, Walk The Path You Believe In.
  • Due to overexerting himself healing Ogami and Daishinji, Yuri reverts back to his sword form... which leaves him at the mercy of Daishinji. Yuri's line and his audible whimpering makes it clear This Is Gonna Suck.
    • And before that, Tetsuo tries to look at Touma's new sword, only to collapse from his chair.
  • Touma's idea to get Kento to cheer up: dressing up as Momotaro with Rintaro and Mei as the dog and monkey companions from the story. The latter two are not amused at the roles they were given.
    • And then to signify his return, Kento joins in... only to change the story a bit and involve Chocolate Eclairs, much to Rintaro's delight. Touma then calls him out on this.
  • The ensuing exchange when Touma and Rintaro attempt to get Ryoga to say "thank you" again:
    Ryoga: Thank...
    Rintaro: "Thank"...?
Ryoga: DO NOT TALK TO ME SO CASUALLY!!
Reika: Brother is so cool, even when he's shy...!

Chapter 40: Shining Friendship, The Three Swordsmen.
  • Isaac has grown way too mad to realize he should know his place and avoid wearing out Storious' patience, considering that his use by date has expired already. Two god rants directed at the Megid was all that it took.
  • When Featuring Saber transforms and summons the Dragon, Lion and Alangina, in the process of defending all three Swordsmen from the rain of Caladbolgs, Alangina seems to channel the power of Star Platinum as it blasts the Caladbolgs away with some Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs before becoming one with Touma.
  • When Reika praises her brother's willpower at resisting Isaac's control, Ogami pipes up with "Good job, brother!" and Ryoga is way too exhausted and relieved to even shoot him a Death Glare.
  • Mei as usual, being quite comical. She does an enthusiastic kick right before Touma finishes Master Logos, and then joins in the sword cross with the others, by using a large stick.
  • Isaac's screams during his last moments before Storious kills him sound like Pink Guy or Kuroto Dan.

Chapter 42: So Begins, the Beautiful End.
  • Daishinji sees Mei serving Onigiris and sees a really large one. Unable to resist, he takes it, takes a bite and complains how Mei has put too much salt in it, only for Mei to correct that she didn't make that one... It was Sophia's.
    • To have him ammend for his mistakes, the others silently and discreetly encourages poor Daishinji to apologise. He mistakes it for pretending that it is good and takes a big bite out of it stammering a "It's good." Mei calls him out on his feigning, poorly at that.
      • He does eat the whole thing to appease Sophia, even though she told him to not push himself.
  • Ren and Desast have an argument while eating ramen, with Desast saying he doesn't grow strong because he doesn't eat red ginger.
  • Mei finds Luna and, to prevent her from potentially being hurt by a ball, she rushes and trips into a sand pit, right in a puddle of water. She even spends the rest of the episode with her face caked in sand.
  • In a bit of meta Black Comedy involving Storious killing Tassel of all things, Robin Furuya (Storious) shortly posted on a photo on Twitter where Tassel is supposed to be impaled, and yet they're still smiling for the camera.

Chapter 43: In Conflict, We Find Our Worth.
  • So Mei is out looking for Rintaro, who rushed on ahead looking for Luna. As she's resting, she's scared out of her wits by someone suddenly yelling "ABOUT THE OTHER DAY...!" right behind her. Turns out it's Ryoga, who apparently still has trouble saying "thank you".
    Ryoga: T-thank...
Mei: (grins in smug realization, does the "could you repeat that?" gesture) Hmm? What? I can't hear you~
Ryoga: ...Thank you! Now I've properly expressed my gratitude...
Mei: That's a good boy! (ruffles Ryoga's hair; Reika, eye twitching, slowly brings out Noroshi) Though, if you really wanna return the favor, give us a hand! We're in a ton of trouble right now! (grasps Ryoga's hand) Pretty please~?
(Reika promptly slices down between them, Mei barely avoiding it)
  • Touma saves Ryoga from being eaten by Charybdis by copying Durendal's signature time freeze/teleportation move. Reika, instead of thanking Touma, hits him for daring to copy her brother.
  • Desast's Last Words after Ren defeats him? He tells him to try out the red pickled ginger. The Stinger shows Ren doing just that, eating it with his instant ramen.

Special Chapter: The World Pirates Arrive, Our Worlds Intertwined.
  • Touma does a retelling of The Cowherd and the Weaver Girlnote , complete with Touma as Orihime, Mei as Tentei, Kento as Hikoboshi - complete with an inflatable cow (voiced by Rintaro)!
  • Zocks really is attached to his status as a world pirate this episode. Such as when he attempts to steal a book from the Northern Base, only to be intercepted by Ryoga and Reika:
    Ryoga: You damn brigand!
Zocks: I'm not just a brigand! I'm a world pirate!
  • With new inspiration for a story about world pirates, Touma jots the idea on one of Orihime Wald's wishing cards by accident, resulting in everyone's Wonder Ride Books disappearing. When Zocks gets apprehended as a suspect and receives a pat-down from Kento, Touma slowly realizes that he's the reason everyone's books disappeared. No one is amused, except for Kento, who opts to comfort Touma.
  • Rintaro reasons that one way to find Orihime Wald is to find bickering couples, as that's what the latter wished for early in the episode. Touma dismisses this as being too simple. Cue a bickering couple walking past them, and then multiple bickering couples in front of Touma and the others, to their bewilderment. To top it all off, Rintaro was actually right.
  • Rintaro's completely befuddled by Zocks's dance moves:
    Rintaro: ...Why are you dancing?
    • After Zocks finishes his transformation, Touma, Rintaro, and Kento subtly applaud.
    • When Zocks starts dancing again later on, Rintaro starts getting annoyed by the act, while Touma, Kento and Mei are rather amused by it.
Rintaro: Do you really have to dance?
  • Mei gets her hair all puffed up when she's blasted by Orihime Wald.
  • In a meta kind of way, Touma questions that if the Tojitendo want to conquer Earth, why doesn't Orihime Wald simply wish for that.
  • Discovering Orihime Wald's true power is affecting the recipient's perception and not making wishes come true, Kento and Touma reveal to Rintaro they've had their books the whole time... and show him their empty hands. Rintaro thinks they've gone mad.
    • While this is happening, Zocks and Orihime Wald are duking it out on bumper cars.
    • Touma reasons that because he, Rintaro, and Kento treasure their books, those who don't will still be able to see them, all while pointing at Mei. She gets somewhat offended by that.
  • This entire time, Ryoga and Reika have been tailing Zocks to make sure he doesn't cause trouble while he's in their world. Denying he would do such a thing, he gives Ryoga a hug, to Reika's rage.
    • As Zocks is preparing to leave, he reveals he swiped Ryoga's Wonder Ride Book as a souvenir. Ryoga then grabs onto Zocks's leg, while Reika grabs onto Ryoga's, who both get freaked out because they're so high up in the air.

Chapter 44: The Final Page, Has Been Opened.
  • Touma does another one of his acting bits of a story for Luna. He ropes Kento into this, who at first, is enthusiastic, but then briefly breaks character after realizing what his role is. He looked like he was about to start complaining about Touma getting the good part.

Final Chapter: As The World Ends, A New Tale is Born.
  • Touma and his Wonder Almighty Wonder Ride Book do their thing and restore the Megids' victims, and Yuri is brought back from within his sword. However, he's shown reading an issue of SwordXMan during that time. Now, how did he manage to get that comic book into the Saikou?

Special Issue: When A New Page Opens.
  • In the preview we see the Northern Base Riders and Sophia relaxing at a beach and Reika getting jealous at Mei and Rintaro for trying to get closer with her brother.
  • Vice debuts by farting. Touma and Kento hold their noses while in suit. Even the lady the Deadman was attacking collapses from the stench.
    • Ikki establishes himself by parenting Vice. He runs in after him, apologizes for the commotion caused and puts him into time-out.
    • Ikki tries to explain to Saber crew why he is talking to himself by pointing out Vice, who turns out to be invisible to anyone else but him and Yuri outside of transformation. It only adds to the confusion and irritates Vice.
    • Even funnier: In Revice itself, he takes the whole series to break wind so much as once.
  • Reika is shown to be literally steaming from anger when Mei smiles at her brother and continues on fuming for the rest of the scene.
    • Better yet: the first time this happens, Reika gets a rather demonic voice:
Reika: Don't you DARE touch my brother so easily!
    • And the second time it just shows her giving a burning glare at Mei when she and Ryoga shares a smile, and she stays burning for the scene that follows while glaring at Mei.
  • Rintaro spends the whole episode trying to confess to Mei but gets constantly interrupted. He finally gets to confess to Mei near the end but it flies over Mei's head.
    • Doesn't help his phrasing was along the lines of "I want to have a family with you, Mei!", to which she confusedly retorted "But aren't we a family already?", alluding to how they were all together in this.
  • Vice demolishes the 4th wall, telling the viewers to not take their eyes off the screen, glaring at the screen, talking to the audience, and even pretending that he was exorcised by Yuri (who, other than Ikki, can also see him), and then letting out one final fart before leaving the scene for good.
  • In the middle of their finisher, Revi and Vice briefly collide with each other, exchange a quick look, and continue with the attack as if nothing happened.

  • Desast reacting to the other Kanons that he has four sisters.
  • Kamiyu and Miller proclaim to Makoto that they still have Kanon hostage, forgetting that they were also dealing with Rintaro, who promptly slashes at them to free Kanon.
  • Makoto's reaction to the four Copy Kanons calling to him, is similar to the famous scene in #34 of Kamen Rider Ghost.
  • Normally, in any other series, the copies would disappear at the end of the story.....but here it's implied nothing happened to the Copy Kanons and they ends up staying with Makoto and the real Kanon as well.

Separate Volume Kamen Rider Saber: Short Story Activity Manga Collection
#1: Dance Performance, Just Before It.
  • Just pretty much every time Mei and Rintaro interrupt Touma when they're trying to dance with either information or one of their techniques that clashes with Touma's idea.
#2: Rock, Scissors, Paper.
  • Just the Megid trio acting mostly out of character in this short. To wit:
    • The Megids struggling to and deciding to learn proper English.
    • The ABC song and Rock Scissors Paper songs they sing.
    • Legeiel and Zooous bantering throughout the whole ordeal. It even gets to the point where Zooous is referred to as "No Sleeves" and Legeiel as "Organ Boy".
    • Storious' "love" face.
    • Zooous inadvertently referring to Storious as "ugly". Cue Legeiel's Oh, Crap! reaction and quickly tries to convince Storious that Zooous didn't mean it.
    • The second song ending with Storious shouting "Love Somebody", resulting in the the three of them battered out from the explosion.
    • The short ending with Zooous calling Storious ugly again.

#3: Save Sophia, The Electric Current Escape Game ~Part 1~

  • Kento, Ren, Ogami, and Daishinji struggling to free Sophia via a riddle-type electrical escape game with hilarious results.
  • Sophia being more emotional in contrast to her being normally calm and reasonable in the show proper.
  • Sophia skateboarding.
  • Ren repeatedly putting in the wrong answer, which shocks Sophia to her ire at him.

#4: Save Sophia, The Electric Current Escape Game ~Part 2~

  • Sophia's blatant favoritism towards Kento, especially after getting frustrated with Daishinji getting her shocked.
  • The four dressing up in animal costumes: Kento's a panda, Ren's a racoon, Ogami's a penguin, and Daishinji's an elephant.
  • The four Riders' ultimately resorting to manually pry open the two bookshelves to finally free Sophia. As she gets freed, the others try to come to her, only for Sophia to accidentally pass them by, leading to the four to end up stuck behind the bookshelves as well.
  • The end credits scene has Sophia inadvertently shocking the four Riders.
#5: Le grande supermarché
  • A notable Running Gag of every time the above words get mentioned.
  • Yuri making Tassel try on different outfits.
  • The opening scene playing only for Tassel to cut each instance. He even pointed how ridiculous of how the opening is just randoming starting whenever.
  • Tassel being baffled by the episode's events.

#6: Let's show the rest throughout 2021! NG Grand prize

  • In general, part of this episode is mostly bloopers.
  • Legeiel and Zooous bantering with each other when either messes up their line.
  • Storious laughing every time "corned soup" is brought up. It even gets to the point where he just utters the food for laughter to his cohorts' dismay.
  • Sophia's complaints to the staff, ranging from the intensity levels of the electrocution system to when four of the Riders accidentally trip on each other.
  • For no reason whatsoever, Sora runs on set, to Ogami's flabbergastation.
  • The Shindai siblings awarding the NG Grand Prize to Sora. Then Touma shows up to complain why Sora when they had funny takes as well, especially him. Ryoga silences him, stating that was not of his concern. Reika then stated that NG stands for New Generation. Touma became embarrased at the realization.
  • One final blooper shows even Reika and Ryoga mess up their lines, which Touma points out. The siblings beg Touma to edit it out, only for him to state that they're not so different from the rest of them on that. Ryoga became embarassed and vexed at the notion, especially when nearly everyone else shows up and pokes fun at him for it.

    Kamen Rider: Beyond Generations
  • The Sword of Logos' reaction of seeing Vice for the first time is rather... priceless.

Kamen Rider Saber: Trio of Deep Sin
  • The group photo of the Sword of Logos has the Shindai siblings looking incredibly awkward.
  • After it all came to an end, cut to a bored Yuri, Sophia and Daishinji :
Yuri: I'm bored... Hey, you, do something funny.
Daishinji: Do you think I'm your clown?!

Miscellaneous

  • Upon learning that Slash's Wonder Ride Book was titled Hanselnuts to Gretel, fans were quick to note that the titling of the book sounded rather... questionable.
    • On top of this, the transformation jingle for his Gun-Sword of Sound Suzune sounds like its two voices couldn't decide between its modes.
Sword mode: Go! Go! With the gun~! I'd rather go with the sword!note
Gun mode: Going with the sword! NO! NO! Go! Go! With the gun~! BANG! BANG!note
  • In an interview with Mantan Web, Mei Angela (Reika Shindai) mentioned that her mother tunes into Kamen Rider Saber every week in support of her daughter, but told her "Don't bully Touma too much".
    • She also noted that performing her transformation sequence and one-handing her sword was difficult due to her prop being too heavy, and she wasn't allowed to bring it home with her.
    • Of all things to be excited about, what has Angela excited the most? Reika getting a catchphrase.
      • She complained that before, Reika didn't have a catchphrase other than "Look forward to it", leading to many giving her the nickname "Looking-Forward Auntie" on social media.
  • The official Instagram page often shows Desast goofing around, such as reading a book in a park, hanging from a tree, and having fun at the beach - complete with a watermelon inner tube. To add to the hilarity of it all, Desast only appears in three episodes from Chapters 15 to 33, implying he's been well enjoying his newly-found freedom in between appearances.
  • The trailer for Kamen Rider Saber x Ghost is narrated by Sayo Oharu, who has an appropriate reaction to seeing Kanon.
    Eh, another me?
    • Following this is the end of the trailer for Kamen Rider Specter x Blades, which has Makoto react to having multiple Kanons.
