     Pope Elias Altra

The current Pope of Ramissh and one of the only people outside of Touya's family to have met God Almighty in person.
  • The Chains of Commanding: After she was chosen to become the new Pope, the truth about her religion was revealed to her. The knowledge that everything she knew was a lie, as well as being forced to spread the lies herself ate away at her for years.
  • Culturally Religious: She was born into a society that worshiped a false god called Lars, and she was crushed when she learned that their entire religion was a sham. Needless to say she was overjoyed to learn that God was real after all, and she worked to shift her country's doctrine to preaching his word instead.
  • Magical Eye: She possesses the Mystic Eyes of Sincerity. They allow her to detect if someone's lying. Like with Yumina, one eye is blue while the other is green. It was this ability that got her the position of Pope.
  • Master of All: She briefly gains all of Touya's powers during the final battle against the Mutant Phrase through the use of a magic app that had been distributed to everyone's smartphones.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: When Phyllis proclaimed that she met with God himself and denounced their god Lars as a sham, she defended the young woman, as her Mystic Eyes revealed that she was telling the truth. The Cardinals then staged an uprising and imprisoned Elias to keep the lie going.
  • Pals with Jesus: She's one of the few people in her world to have met God in person, and she later becomes good friends with Touya's sisters, who are also gods.
  • Secret-Keeper: Keeps secret about her countries religion and Touya's relation with the gods.

     Phyllis Rugit
The head Cardinal of Ramissh.
  • Culturally Religious: She was a devout believer in Lars for her entire life. After meeting with Touya and God Almighty, she was depressed to learn that she'd been living a lie, but nonetheless hopeful knowing that God was real after all.
  • Master of All: She briefly gains all of Touya's powers during the final battle against the Mutant Phrase through the use of a magic app that had been distributed to everyone's smartphones.
  • Miscarriage of Justice: Upon returning from Brunhild, she told the clergy that she met with God and learned that their religion was a lie. She was imprisoned, framed for a recent string of murders, and sentenced to death. She's saved thanks to Touya's intervention.
  • Pals with Jesus: Like the Pope, she got to meet God in person, filling her with hope that their doctrine can change for the better.
  • Young and in Charge: Despite her young age, she was made the new head Cardinal, as she, much like the Pope, had met God in person and knew his words better than most.

     Nesto Renauld
A former priest from Ramissh who tried to convince Touya to establish the Church of Lars as Brunhild's state religion.
  • Bald of Evil: He's a corrupt priest who hides his chrome dome under an unconvincing wig.
  • Hairstyle Malfunction: His wig is the only thing left behind when Touya kicks him out of the castle via portal into the moat.
  • Sinister Minister: He knew that Lars was a false god, but preached the doctrine because it gave him power. Even his missionary trip to Brunhild was in an effort to elevate his own position back in Ramissh.

     Zeon
A former Cardinal who upheld the lie about their deity Lars. He's the brother of Kyurei.
  • Arc Villain: Serving as the Big Bad of the Ramissh arc with his twin sister Kyurei in the form of a Big Bad Duumvirate, who became responsible for the false imprisonment of the legitimate pope Elias Altra and was actively using the false religion of Ramissh to cover up his and his sister's involvement, as well as with the dirty work of the corrupt officials in the Theocracy.
  • General Ripper: Of the Cardinal variant. He wants nothing more than to execute those who are actively exposing the religion that was revealed to be upheld by Ramirez's hypocritical beliefs to be nothing more than a Scam Religion. He and Kyurei hatched a plan to execute both Elias and Phyllis, before it was foiled by Touya.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: Touya notes that his haircut and mustache make him bear a resemblance to Adolf Hitler.
  • Obviously Evil: Can't get more clear than resembling a genocidal dictator.
  • Sinister Minister: One of the corrupt officials who worked to maintain the lie of their religion in pursuit of power. He and his sister went so far as to imprison and replace their own Pope out of fear that she'd blab.

     Kyurei
A former Cardinal who upheld the lie about their deity Lars. She's the sister of Zeon.
  • Arc Villain: Serving as the Big Bad of the Ramissh arc with her twin brother Zeon in the form of a Big Bad Duumvirate. She and Zeon became responsible for the false imprisonment of the legitimate pope Elias Altra, where she impersonated as her in order to distract Touya's attention.
  • Klingon Promotion: Her goal was to kill the Pope so she could take over the position.
  • Sinister Minister: One of the corrupt officials who worked to maintain the lie of their religion in pursuit of power. She plotted with her brother to imprison the Pope, and briefly impersonated her when Touya arrived and insisted he speak with her.
  • Smug Snake: When Touya advocated for the release of Phyllis, she mockingly insulted him for trying to save the life of a wanted criminal as a world leader.

     Ramirez
The original ruler of Ramissh who supposedly summoned Lars the God of Light to purge the land of evil beasts and demons.
  • Eldritch Abomination: He succumbed to the Dark Spirit's influence and wound up fusing with it, creating a giant, monstrous entity that was sealed underneath the temple. When the spirit was finally defeated, Ramirez's skeleton was all that was left of it.
  • Fake Ultimate Hero: The story of how he founded Ramissh isn't entirely accurate. The truth is that Ramirez was a powerful summoner who managed to call upon the Dark Pillar Spirit. With the spirit's help, he purged the land that would become Ramissh of powerful monsters. Ramirez was greedy, however. He came up with a cover story about calling upon a god named Lars, and used the spirit's influence to warp the minds of his citizens into believing the false doctrine.
  • Hypocrite: He instituted laws that discriminated against anyone with an affinity for Dark magic, despite the fact that Dark was his most powerful element.
  • Not Enough to Bury: His skeleton crumbled away to dust after being separated from the Dark Spirit.
  • Summon Magic: This was his specialty. Not only was he proficient with Dark summoning spells, but he had even managed to summon the Dark Pillar Spirit through the use of spirit magic. He's the only known human besides Touya that's been able to summon a Pillar Spirit.
  • Predecessor Villain: He was responsible for perpetuating the lie about summoning the God of Light, Lars, which became the face of Ramissh's religion. But he is revealed to be obsessed with the Dark Spirit, becoming obsessed with greed by using Lars as means to manipulate the theocracy's citizens into believing Lars is their deific figure.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: He was a greedy man who twisted the narrative to make himself out to be a hero.
