Aegiomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aegiomon_b_6.jpg
Debut: Digimon Crusader
Attacks: Attract Echo, Iron Thrust, Stun Beat Blow

A God Man Digimon that has an appearance fusing the lower body of a goat with the upper body of a human. As a member of the same musical troupe as Sirenmon, it is usually playing the pipes called "Syrinx" hung at its waist and enjoying the music. Although it has a peace-loving personality and doesn't really like to fight, the power it conceals within is unquantified, and when Aegiomon fights to protect something, it exhibits unique talent for combat. It is said that by playing the "Attract Echo", which attracts the attention of those who hear it, on the Syrinx it possesses, Aegiomon snatches away the sense of self of those who continue to listen to its sound, and blinds them to everything but its figure. With this, it can produce an opportunity for other Digimon to flee, or a chance for them to pursue.

Aegiomon is the Champion form for Jupitermon of the Olympos XII and the protagonist of Digimon Crusader.

  • Elemental Punch: Its "Stun Beat Blow" where it beats up its opponent while releasing eletricity from its arms that numbs them and dulls their movements.
  • Fauns and Satyrs: It has a goat's legs and a human upper body with black horns on its head, and plays panpipes much like those traditionally associated with satyrs.
  • Magical Flutist: Its "Attract Echo" where it plays a song with its Syrinx that makes listeners lose their sense of self and see only Aegiomon.
  • Meaningful Name: Aegio comes from the Greek Aegipan (Αιγίπαν) or Goat-Pan, the son of Zeus and Aega.
  • The Paralyzer: Its "Stun Beat Blow" can render its targets' senses and movements dulled and slow.
  • Shock and Awe: It attacks by beating enemies with fists shrouded in electricity.

It specializes in mid-air attacks, its roar calls forth storms, and it causes giant tornadoes by flapping its wings. Its personality is considerably brutal, but it has great intelligence. However, being employed by an ordinary Tamer doesn't seem possible.

  • Tornado Move: Its "God Tornado" combines this with Breath Weapon, while its "Tatsumaki" creates a tornado by flapping its wings.

Akatorimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/akatorimon_b.jpg
Attacks: Scar-Red Eye

Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 2

It is used as the main Champion form of Armadillomon, and is partnered to Iori (Cody) Hida and Chitose Imai.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Its "Rhythmical Knock" slams its forefeet down into the ground to cause pillars of earth to shoot up from the ground and slam into the foe.
  • Tail Slap: Its "Tail Hammer" attack, where it violently beats the opponent with the iron sphere on the tip of its tail. Those that suffer this technique have their body's wire frame completely shattered.
  • Tough Armored Dinosaur: It is based upon an "Ankylosaurus" and is noted for its high defense.
  • Use Your Head: Its "Armor Stampede" where it charges forward and head-butts the enemy with its massive weight.

Apemon (Hanumon)

When Minidekachimon runs into danger, it fights for its life.

  • Badass Pacifist: It doesn't like to fight, but will if Minidekachimon is in danger.

Axemon (DeadlyAxemon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deadlyaxemon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Loader
Attacks: Air Slicer, Aqua Rage, Aqua Ragier

As a younger brother who shared cups of brotherhood with SkullKnightmon, it is a brawny fighter replete with nimble movements and limitless physical strength. It faithfully obeys its sworn brother SkullKnightmon and battles with faith in its sworn brother in order to obtain victory. It shows off lightning-speed movements fast enough that they earned it the alias "Running Lightning", and its top speed is so fast that you can see its afterimages. However, fine maneuvers are its weak point, so its linear movements can easily be read by its opponent, and it will easily collide with obstacles. However, if you see it smash through those and continue running with a defiant, thunderous roar, you would probably agree that the name "Running Lightning" is appropriate.

By proxy of being part of AxeKnightmon, Axemon is a member of the Twilight (Midnight) army and partnered to Nene and Yuu (Ewan) Amano.

  • Bash Brothers: Swore an oath of brotherhood with SkullKnightmon.
  • The Dreaded: Between its viciousness and unrelenting stamina, Axemon is almost as feared as its brother. Almost.
  • Equippable Ally: Its Big Axe and Cavalier Modes.
  • Eyeless Face: Looks like it, but its eyes are just hidden underneath its helmet (the angle of its official artwork doesn't help, though).
  • Hollywood Acid: Attacks using this.
  • Never Say "Die": Its dub name omits the "Deadly" part of its name.
  • Perpetual-Motion Monster: Axemon has pretty much limitless stamina.
  • Pun: Its attacks, Aqua Rage and Aqua Ragier, are puns on aqua regia, also known as hydrochloric acid.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Champion. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Shout-Out: Acidic internal fluids, razor-sharp body parts, near-feral mind-set, ridiculously fast. Axemon is essentially a digital Xenomorph.
  • Super-Speed: It moves very quickly. As mentioned above, though, it's not very maneuverable.

Baboongamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baboongamon_b.jpg
Debut: Digimon Reference Book

A Beast Digimon with a strong sense of territory. It builds its home in places with difference in altitudes such as cliffs or rocky mountains. In addition, the individual with the hardest rocks within a troop is the leader in charge of their territory.

  • Eyeless Face: Its eyes are covered by its rock-hide.
  • Super-Toughness: The rocks that make up part of its hide get more durable each time they regenerate. The most durable in a group becomes the leader.
  • Tail Slap: Its "Glide Rocks" attack has it attack the enemy with its tail, which is clubbed like an ankylosaurus's, at extreme speed.

Bakemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bakemon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 3
Attacks: Hell's Hand, Death Charm

A ghost Digimon completely covered by a cloth over its head. As it is a wicked being born from darkness, it is said that computers possessed by Bakemon instantly have their systems destroyed. Everything within the cloth is wrapped in mystery, and it is rumored that a portion of the shadow of its true form has become a black hole. It dislikes direct attacks because its fighting strength isn't great.

Ren Tobari has a Bakemon in his possession.

  • Attack of the Monster Appendage: Its "Hell's Hand" where it extends a giant decaying hand from underneath its cloak pulls the captured enemy all the way to hell. Its "Ghost Chop" where it karate chops the enemy.
  • Bedsheet Ghost: It's essentially a floating bedsheet with eyes and fangs.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Poison Breath" where it blows out a poisonous smoke.
  • Casting a Shadow: Its "Nightmare Wave" where it emits a dark wave that hypnotizes the enemy, amplifying their doubts and driving them mad and "Death Charm" where it casts an evil spell of darkness that washes over the enemy and saps away its life, seems to bring annihilation in a matter of seconds unless they are the possessor of a tenacious spirit.
  • Meaningful Name: Bake comes from Bakemono 「化け物(バケモノ)」, which means ghost or monster.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: It's a Ghost Digimon, and was created from the remains of deceased digital creatures.
  • Poisonous Person: It has a poisonous breath attack.
  • The Undead: Bakemon are born from undead remnants of Digimon.

Ballistamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ballistamon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Reference Book
Attacks: Heavy Speaker, Horn Breaker, Ultimate Speaker

A heavyweight Digimon that possesses a bulky metallic armor and overwhelming power. It appears warlike at first glance, but because of its gentle personality, preferring harmony to conflict, it will never attack first. However, if it gets into a fight, it becomes a powerful and matchless fighter that swings its stout arms and wipes out the opponent. With its heavy armor and great power, its potential for both offense and defense is great, and if it connects with a hit then it doesn't quit, although a single blow of its certain-kill attack, which capitalises on its great power, is its specialty. However, its too-heavy body can be its ruin and there is a problem with its keenness, so it's not very good with fighting fast opponents.

Ballistamon is a member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army and is partnered to Taiki (Mikey) Kudo. In the sequel and the manga, it is later partnered to Zenjirou (Jeremy) Tsurugi.

  • Animal Motifs: It greatly resembles a rhinoceros beetle, and even fights like one with its horn.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Would much rather not fight, but if it does, it'll go all out.
  • Horn Attack: Its Horn Breaker attack has it hit and launch things with its horn.
  • Loud of War: Can use those speakers it has to devastating effect. It can even shatter mountains with them.
  • Mighty Glacier: Very strong, but not good against faster enemies.
  • Powered Armor: Can become this.
  • Recurring Element: It's effectively the protagonists' blue, rhinoceros beetle-themed Digimon, similar to Kabuterimon and Blitzmon. It resembles a smaller Bolgmon to some degree, and the Ultimate-level AtlurBallistamon clearly took naming cues from AtlurKabuterimon. In the manga, it even becomes partnered to The Smart Guy.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Champion. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Robot Buddy: Ballistamon is a battle robot of the vaccine attribute, and it's a Gentle Giant.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/baluchimon_b.jpg
Debut: Digimon Reference Book
Attacks: Psychic Chain, Cloud Vision

A Holy Beast Digimon whose existence was confirmed in ruins unearthed from beneath Folder Continent. It turns out that the ruins were once used as a fortress for Angel Digimon, and it is presumed that the Baluchimon were the ones that protected the fortress. Although it has a calm and quiet personality, it also has a ferocious side that mercilessly attacks the enemy.

Hackmon underwent bouts of harsh training, honing its unparalleled battle instincts, and attained this form as it grew together with its spirit, technique, and physical strength. It continues its training as it aims for greater heights, amassing combat experience by battling strong foes and evolving into a skilled warrior the more it battles. As it matures, its aspiration of becoming a Royal Knight grows ever stronger, and it believes that what it is destined to achieve is determined not by what others tell it, but by deciding based on its own observations and inferences.

  • Badass Cape: It's still there.

  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: Is a Dinosaur type but evolves from a Small Dragon and into a Dragon Man-type.

A Giant Bird Digimon which has an appearance shrouded in blazing flames. Just like Meramon, it is a Digimon that was generated from the Internet's defensive "Firewall". • Foe-Tossing Charge: Its "Mach Glide" where it dives from the sky and rams into the enemy.
  • Giant Flyer: A very big and flaming avian.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Fox Fire" is one that uses blue fire. Its "Ice Wall" and "Ice Cannon" use ice instead.
  • Make Some Noise: Its "Wolf Cry" where it howls a powerful shockwave.
  • Mon Bites Mon: Its "Freeze Fang" where it bites an enemy with icy fangs.
  • Palette Swap: A black recolor of Garurumon.
  • Playing with Fire: It's "Fox Fire" where it fires blue, high-temperature flames from its mouth.
  • Technicolor Fire: It can breathe blue fire.

BlackGatomon (BlackTailmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackgatomon_2.png
Attacks: Neko Punch

A Virus attribute Gatomon who sports vivid, pitch-black fur. A child completely born of evil, it lives its life treading through the ominous darkness. BlackGatomon is a variety of Gatomon that is born very rarely, and as such is said to have a low population size. It has a mean and prideful personality, and is a problematic Digimon that loves picking on the weak. It is a dark-type Digimon that generally evolves into Fallen Angel Digimon.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Averted. Unlike regular Gatomon, whose Holy Ring is the source of its power, BlackGatomon doesn't have anything similar powering it up. This means that BlackGatomon can't be weakened the same way as its light counterpart.
  • Cats Are Mean: A mean-spirited, cruel catlike Digimon that picks on those weaker than itself and evolves into a selection of demons.
  • Hypnotic Eyes: Its "Cat's Eye" where it hypnotizes the enemy with mysterious power from its eyes.
  • Palette Swap: A black version of Gatomon right down to having the same attacks, although it doesn't have a Holy Ring.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Like Gatomon, it's strong for its size.
  • Super-Speed: Its "Neko Punch" where it punches at the enemy with its powerful claws at lightning speed and "Neko Kick" is a super-fast flying kick attack.
  • Tail Slap: Its "Cat Tail" is a tail whip attack.

BlackGatomon Uver. (BlackTailmon Uver.)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blacktailmon_uver.jpg
Attacks: Neko Punch, Bakōnya

A form that BlackGatomon transformed into by absorbing large amounts of courier service data that flowed into the Digital World in recent years. Its mean personality has completely gone, and it devotedly and reliably delivers ordered packages, whatever the day. It is often seen delivering things while clinging onto the back of Pistmon, who it is on good terms with. The delivery bag on its back is capable of keeping anything warm or cool in their optimum state, and since it can only be opened and closed by BlackGatomon, it is safe even for confidential data.

This variant of BlackGatomon is a recurring ally in Digimon Ghost Game.

  • Courier: Having absorbed data from courier services, it now personifies the concept.
  • Consummate Professional: It will reliably deliver any package on any day.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite still being a virus-type Demon Beast, it's far less of a jerk than it was before.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Thanks to absorbing courier data, its malice has been replaced with determination to deliver packages reliably.
  • Improvised Weapon: Its Bakōnya attack is a strike with its delivery pack.

BlackGrowlmon (BlackGrowmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackgrowlmon.png
Debut: D-Ark Version 1.0
Attacks: Plasma Blade, Exhaust Flame

A Demon Dragon Digimon that is called the "Jet-black Demon Dragon". Although it is fundamentally the same species as Growlmon, it has more of a Virus-species' nature, and is said to be the natural form of Growlmon. Unlike a Growlmon raised by a Tamer, it can roughly be described as having gone feral. BlackGrowlmon's roar is identical to Growlmon's, having the power to shake the solid earth, and before battle it raises its voice to an offensive roar to intimidate the opponent.

  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "Dragon Slash" where it slashes upward with its claws and "Grow Claw" where it attacks using its huge claws.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its "Plasma Blade" heats the blades on its arms and slices at the foe by spinning in a circle at extremely rapid speeds.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Exhaust Flame" and "Black Exhaust Flame" where it breathes a stream of flame from its mouth.
  • Make Some Noise: Its "Howling" where it frightens an enemy with a fierce howl.
  • Non-Mammalian Hair: It has long silver colored hair.
  • Palette Swap: Of Growlmon. Literally, in that the red and black portions of their color schemes are reversed (save for their claws, stomach and hair).
  • Playing with Fire: Just like the regular Growlmon.
  • Shock and Awe: It's "Dark Blade" where it attacks with the electrified claws of one hand.
  • Red Baron: It's called the "Jet-black Demon Dragon".

BladeKuwagamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bladekuwagamon.png
Attacks: Spark Blade, Air Knife

An Insect-type Machine Digimon whose entire body has been weaponized. For an Adult, it is a rare species whose whole body has been turned into Chrome Digizoid. It has a habit of reacting indiscriminately to anything that moves, and it is said that when someone is attacked by a swarm of BladeKuwagamon, they will pierce even Ultimate Digimon all over their bodies and cause them to die.

  • Blow You Away: It knows an attack called Air Knife.
  • Light 'em Up: Its "Spark Blade" in which it becomes a blade of light to pierce the foe.
  • Razor Wind: Its "Air Knife" creates a vacuum wave.

Blimpmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blimpmon.png
Attacks: Helium Bomb, Zeppelin Explosion

A Vehicle Digimon just like Mechanorimon, it flies in the skies without a care in the world. Although its delicate balloon portion is protected by a metallic coating, it seems to still be under construction as its left flank is left exposed.

  • Abnormal Ammo: Its "Helium Bomb" fires and detonates bullets of helium gas.
  • Japanese Ranguage: Its original dub name in the card game was Brimpmon.
  • Living Gasbag: Being a literal living blimp, Blimpmon is also this by definition.
  • Living Ship: It is effectively a living rigid blimp.

BomberNanimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bombernanimon_b.png
Attacks: Free Throw Bomb, Baku Oyaji Punch, Countdown

Although it looks like a subspecies of Nanimon, who invaded from the Digital World of another dimension, the truth is unknown. As its name suggests, its whole body has turned into a bomb, and it seems that its body became a bomb as it continued to battle in the Digital World. Another feature is that the hair on its calvaria has become a fuse.

  • Action Bomb: Its "Countdown" turns itself into a living bomb that destroys itself and unleashes great explosive power.
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: It has big eyebrows like Nanimon, but they're on fire.
  • Cartoon Bomb: Essentially an anthropomorphized one.
  • Cephalothorax: Much like the regular Nanimon, it's a humanoid head with arms and legs.
  • Cool Shades: It has a red version of Nanimon's.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Baku Oyaji Punch" note  where it punches the enemy with a fist of explosive flames.
  • Fiery Redhead: It has a patch of bright red hair.
  • Mad Bomber: It has an endless supply of bombs, and tends to blow up everything in its surroundings.
  • Palette Swap: Of Nanimon. Even more blatant in Digital Card Battle, where it retained Nanimon's mustache, fire red like its eyebrows.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Its "Free Throw Bomb" where it tosses an explosive bomb at the enemy.

Citramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/citramon.png
Debut: Digimon Data Squad: "Touma's Day Off, Exploding Bomber Nanimon" (Dub)
Attacks: Fruit Punch Nova

A variant of BomberNanimon that attacks with exploding oranges. Takes the place of BomberNanimon in the dub of Digimon Data Squad due to Disney not allowing the depiction of a giant bomb.

  • Anthropomorphic Food: A giant orange with limbs.
  • Bowdlerize: Deeming a bomb-based character as being inappropriate for broadcast on a family-friendly network, Disney ordered that BomberNanimon be changed, and so writer Jeff Nimoy decided to change him into a giant orange, with his attacks and dialogue changed to reflect this. Kirk Thornton, who voices Citramon, voices the Digimon in the style of Don Patch, a major character from the anime series Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo who was also voiced by Thornton; Nimoy wrote Citramon as an "ode" to the character.
  • Cephalothorax: Well, it is still a Nanimon variant.
  • Meaningful Name: Citra comes from citrus which is a fruit from a citrus tree such as an orange.
  • Palette Swap: Basically an orange BomberNanimon with a stem instead of a fuse. All of its other features are identical.
  • Plant Person: A giant orange who floods places with fruit juice.
  • Shout-Out: To Poppa Rocks/Don Patch from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo.

Boogiemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boogiemon.jpg
Attacks: Death Clash

An eerie-looking Demon Man Digimon. Numerous tattoos containing evil incantations are carved onto its body, and it is apparently capable of casting as many spells as it has tattoos. Rather than fight head-on, it is a coward that usually lies in wait and launches ambush attacks on the enemy from the darkness.

  • Big Red Devil: Looks like someone's devil costume.
  • Devil's Pitchfork: In its "Death Clash" attack, it stabs the opponent with the pitchfork it wields in its right hand.
  • Inconsistent Dub: Its name in the D-Spirit was "Fiendmon"; subsequent materials would keep it as "Boogiemon".
  • Meaningful Name: Boogie comes from The Boogie Man which is a monster that terrorizes children. Fiend is an evil spirit or demon in mythology.
  • Number of the Beast: The number for one of its cards is St-666.

Bulkmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bulkmon.jpg
Debut: Vital Bracelet Digital Monster
Attacks: Electrical Fist, Thunder Dread

A Digimon that evolved via the data of a body composition monitor that measures muscle mass. It has a bellicose personality, and the power brought about by its unnaturally well-developed upper body muscles is top-class even among Adult Digimon. Its reaction speed is extremely high despite its large size, and it overwhelms its enemies with its tremendous power and speed. It is a hard worker, always continuing its training when it is not eating or sleeping.

It is the Champion level of Pulsemon, and is partnered to the protagonist of Digimon Project 2021.

  • Cool Helmet: It has a helmet that bears more than a passing resemblance to Lighdramon's.
  • Draconic Humanoid: Its design is humanoid with a lot of draconic features, looking a lot like a yellow ExVeemon.
  • Elemental Punch: Its Electrical Fist attack is exactly what the name suggests: a punch using its electrified fist.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Its training has greatly enhances its speed, strength, and reflexes.
  • Morphic Resonance: Its horn resembles its pre-evolution Pulsemon's fringe. It also has Pulsemon's green crest in the same place on its chest.
  • Shock and Awe: Both of its attacks have it generate electricity. Electrical Fist creates electricity from, well, its fist and Thunder Dread from its horn.

Buraimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/buraimon.png
Debut: Digimon Story: Lost Evolution
Attacks: Tsubame Nimai Gaeshi

A form of Chicchimon that evolved from Child to Adult. Its training pilgrimage continues, as it carries out the wandering of a vagrant.

  • Bird People: It's a humanoid bird with wings sprouting from its shoulders — not surprising, since it evolved from the already avian and humanoid Hyokomon.
  • Dual Wielding: It wields two katanas.
  • Meaningful Name: Its "Tsubame Nimai Gaeshi" is a reference to the Swallow cut, the favorite technique of Sasaki Kojirō. Burai 「無頼(ブライ)」 means "outlaw" and Saburai 「さぶらい」, an alternative reading of 「侍」, samurai.
  • Rōnin: A wandering warrior themed after Japanese samurai.

Burgermon (Champion) (Burgamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/burgemon_adult.jpg
Attacks: Delicious Patty, Spicy Onion

It is a Digimon that evolves from Child-level Burgamon that are made up of carefully selected ingredient data and have a pure heart. It is a kind Digimon whose purpose in life is to cook, and serves other Digimon without asking for anything in return.

  • Anthropomorphic Food: Both variants are humanoid onions.
  • Onion Tears: Its "Spicy Onion" attack has them throw onion slices full of pepper at foes to make them lose their fighting spirit.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: The male wears a white chef's coat while the female wears a purple apron.
  • To Serve Man: Though they don't actually serve humans as dishes, their "Delicious Patty" attack traps their foe in a giant hamburger patty.

    C-D

Cardmon U1

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_u1.png
Debuted in: Digimon World 3

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by kicking trees.

Cardmon U2

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cardmon_u2.png

A Digimon that, to this day, has only appeared in Digimon World 3. Defeating them would drop Booster Pack items to use for the card battles, and the more cards they have surrounding them, the higher their level. This particular Cardmon can be found by fishing.

  • Cards of Power: Averted. The cards don't do anything for either Cardmon and are only used for card battles.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Has only appeared in Digimon World 3.
  • Palette Swap: A blue version of U1. Since it's called U2, it's likely to have been discovered first.
  • Item-Drop Mechanic: Also like U1, its sole purpose was to drop Booster Packs.

Centarumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/centalmon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 3
Attacks: Hunting Cannon

A half-man, half-beast Digimon with a humanoid upper body and a bestial lower body. Its body is protected by a hard substance secreted onto the surface from its insides, and it's right arm has fused to become one with its weapon. The ducts extending from its back spout high-pressure vapor, allowing it to move at near-sonic speed, though only for an instant. It has outstanding defense, attack, and speed. It is extremely prideful, and absolutely despises being ordered around or restrained.

Notable partners of Centarumon include the American Chosen Child Maria.

  • Arm Cannon: Its "Hunting Cannon" where it shoots a blast of energy from the cannon which has become one with its right arm. It is near impossible to evade this attack. However, because this attack expends a large amount of energy, Centarumon avoids battle whenever possible.
  • "Blind Idiot" Translation: Its translated name in the Digimon Reference Book misspells it as "Centalmon".
  • Cyclops: Under his helmet glows a single red eye.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Heat Upper" where it either slams the ground to cause a fiery shock wave, or delivers a red-hot uppercut
  • Lightning Bruiser: Or at least by the standards of being Champion-leveled, according to the Digimon Reference Book.
  • Hollywood Cyborg: Its head, left shoulder and right hand are mechanical.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: This one has a body covered in strange blue platers, a face always obscured by a helmet and an energy weapon implemented in its right arm.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: It has one red eye like a cyclops.

Chamblemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chamblemon.png
Attacks: Sweepore, Champignon Bomb

A Plant Digimon in the shape of an extremely poisonous mushroom. It is a mystery whether it evolved from Mushroomon, or if it is another variant. Although it is often seen as being weak, it is quite the ruffian. If one approaches it carelessly, its floating "Sweepore" spores will attach to them, and sprout into mushrooms containing their absorbed vitality. If one picks and eats them, they will be brimming with energy, and it seems that among them, the Data-type mushrooms are especially delicious.

  • Anthropomorphic Food: It's a food-type Digimon and named after one of the names for immature Agaricus bisporus, a species of edible mushroom.
  • Life Drinker: By way of using its spores to drain other Digimon's vitality and then eating the resulting mushrooms. It prefers to feed on data-attribute Digimon.
  • Mushroom Man: Aside from its color scheme, it looks exactly like Mushroomon.
  • Palette Swap: A white and pink version of Mushroomon with yellow eyes. Its Champignon Bomb applies the same color scheme to Mushroomon's Poison S-Mush.
  • Power Up Full Color Change: Played with in that while it's not necessarily an evolution of Mushroomon, it's still a Champion-level version of it with an entirely different color scheme.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Its Champignon Bomb has it throw mushroom-shaped bombs.

Chrysalimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chrysalimon.png
Attacks: Data Crusher

An Adult Digimon whose appearance resembles a chrysalis. In order to evolve into a stronger Digimon, the Child-level Keramon entered a chrysalis-like state and began conserving its energy. As a result, it is completely unable to move, but it is protected by its tough shell, and can attack the opponent with the tentacles extending from its back. In some cases, it can evolve to Perfect without becoming an Adult, but it is able to evolve to a stronger Perfect by evolving to Chrysalimon.

It is notable as the partner of Arata Sanada.

  • Combat Tentacles: Its "Data Crusher" where it destroys the opponent's data by stabbing them with the tentacles on its back and "Misconnecting" where it either unleashes deadly energy from the tips of its tentacles, or savagely whips the opponent with its tentacles.
  • Inconsistent Dub: It's bounced back and forth between Chrysalimon and Kurisarimon at different points in the series. For the time being, Bandai seems to have settled on Chrysalimon.
  • Japanese Ranguage: Its dub name for the longest time had been "Kurisarimon", a corrupted version of its Japanese name. This appears to have ceased.
  • Mythology Gag: The first Keramon we saw skipped Chrysalimon and went straight to Infermon. This was later codified into all Keramon being able to do this, but the resulting evolution is weaker if they skip their Chrysalimon stage.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Red sclera, yellow iris, and a highly dangerous creature.

Clockmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clockmon_b.jpg
Debut: Digimon World (-n-game clock, cameo), Pendulum 5.0 Metal Empire (official appearance)
Attacks: Chrono Breaker

The protector of time that governs the computer's timer. It manages the "Time" and "Space" of all computers and networks, and if it is between 1900 and 1999, it is able to freely advance and rewind time. Because it possesses an extremely dangerous, terrifying ability, it always maintains a neutral standpoint, and doesn't participate in the conflict between Vaccines and Viruses. For that reason, it is said that if it ever tilts toward either side of the balance, the Digital World will collapse.

  • Cyborg: The Xros Wars version only has one eye.
  • Time Stands Still: Its "Chrono Breaker" destroys the "time" flowing through the opponent's body. It is impossible for a Digimon whose "time" was frozen with this attack to recover.

Coelamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coelamon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 4
Attacks: Variable Darts

An ancient fish Digimon that possesses gigantic claws and a hard outer skin. When the Computer Network was being repaired after being disrupted by a malicious hacker, this Digimon was discovered in the Net Ocean, and as its body structure is extremely primitive, it has fins that have developed like hands and feet. Based on this fact, it is conjectured that primeval Digimon that originated in the Net Ocean experienced many evolutions and took on terrestrial forms, and increased their numbers into various strains.

Notable tamers that Coelamon has been partnered with include the Australian Chosen Child Dingo (Derek).

  • Flechette Storm: Its "Iron Scale" shoots tiny scales from its body at the enemy.
  • Fiendish Fish: It's a giant coelacanth with massive teeth and claws. Downplayed, as it's merely a Data-attribute Digimon.
  • Making a Splash: Its "Destructive Spear" fires a spear of water and "Water Bullet" spits balls of water at high speeds.
  • Mon Bites Mon: Its "Kamitsuki" note  where it bites at the enemy with powerful jaws.
  • Sword Beam: A variation. Its "Variable Darts" slices the opponent with its claws, or throws blades of energy or knives of water.

Coredramon (Blue)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coredramon.png
Attacks: Blue Flare Breath, Strike Bomber, G Shurunen-II

Digimon that bear the name "Dramon" must contain Dragon-factor data in their Digicore; the higher the percentage of that data, the more the shape of their body becomes a Dragon-type, but Coredramon's Dragon-factor data has reached 100%, so it is definitely a pure-blooded Dragon Digimon. It is said that this blue-skinned Coredramon is the evolved form of a Dracomon that assimilated large quantities of a rare gem called "Blue Diamante", which is mined only in mountainous regions with very high altitudes, and is able to fly at high speed with its developed wings to survive in the steep mountains. Like Dracomon, it has a scale referred to as the "Gekirin", and if it is touched there, it loses its mind to an excess of anger.

  • The Berserker: Its "G Shurunen-II" note  is a state of berserk rage, triggered when its "Gekirin" is touched; Coredramon rampages with laser-heat breath.
  • Blue Is Heroic: It's the blue variant of Coredramon, and is of the vaccine attribute.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Blue Flare Breath" where it breaths searing sapphiric flames. It has the effect of decomposing the texture data covering the surface of a Digimon's body, so Digimon that suffer this breath will be susceptible to attacks on their bare Digicores.
  • Flight: It has become capable of this.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Its profile explains why the Dramon Digimon despite all being dragon's look so different. Because Digimon that bear the name "Dramon" must contain Dragon-factor data in their Digicore; the higher the percentage of that data, the more the shape of their body becomes a Dragon-type.
  • Palette Swap: One of two versions of Coredramon.
  • Tail Slap: Its "Strike Bomber" where it smashes targets with the flick of its tail.
  • Technicolor Fire: It breathes blue fire.

Coredramon (Green)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/coredramon_green_b.jpg
Attacks: Green Flare Breath, Strike Bomber, G Shurunen-II

Digimon that bear the name "Dramon" must contain Dragon-factor data in their Digicore; the higher the percentage of that data, the more the shape of their body becomes a Dragon-type, but Coredramon's Dragon-factor data has reached 100%, so it is definitely a pure-blooded Dragon Digimon. It is said that this green-skinned Coredramon is the evolved form of a Dracomon that assimilated large quantities of a rare gem called "Green Malachite", which is mined in dense woodland with trees over a century old. Although this type of Coredramon is not good at flying, its has highly developed leg strength, allowing it to run at speeds that are unimaginable from its physique.

This variation of Coredramon is used by Ryuji Mishima.

  • The Berserker: Its "G Shurunen-II" is a state of berserk rage, triggered when its "Gekirin" is touched; Coredramon rampages with laser-heat breath.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Green Flare Breath" where it breaths searing green-colored flame upon the target is very highly penetrative, so it is effective in passing through the texture data of the surface of the body and inflicting damage directly to the Digicore.
  • Green and Mean: It's the green variant of Coredramon, and is of the virus attribute.
  • Technicolor Fire: It breathes green fire.

Cyclonemon (Cyclomon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyclomonbig.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 5
Attacks: Hyper Heat

A one-eyed Dragon Man Digimon with an abnormally developed right arm. It was originally a stalwart dragon warrior, but its right eye was crushed by the warrior Leomon, and it became an oni of revenge. In order to defeat Leomon, it has strengthened and enlarged its right arm, and it is on the lookout for a chance to take it down. For the sake of revenge, it has lost its pride as a warrior, leaving it as nothing more than a warrior obsessed with bloodshed.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Hyper Heat" emits a beam of ultra-high-temperature heat from its mouth, which can melt anything.
  • Cyclops: Rather than being born with one eye, Cyclonemon lost one in battle to Leomon. Thus, unlike traditional cyclopes, Cyclonemon only has its left eye rather than having a single eye in the middle of its forehead.
  • Depending on the Artist: Cyclonemon's Bandai art, Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer sprite, and Digimon World 2 and Digimon World 3 models have two red claws, and some of its V-Pet sprites show it has two claws on that arm, however its models in Digimon All-Star Rumble, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory, Digimon Links, and Digimon ReArise, and its sprite in Digimon Survive have three red claws. Some card art also depict Cyclonemon with three red claws. The placement of the third claw varies, either in the middle of the other two, or below the other two.
  • Dragon Knight: It used to be an honorable sort, but underwent a Face–Heel Turn and became an Oni.
  • Evil Makes You Monstrous: Downplayed. It's not known what Cyclonemon looked like before his Face–Heel Turn, but he is stated to have become an oni.
  • Extendable Arms: Its Strength Arm allows it to extend its large arm to attack enemies.
  • Eye Scream: Its right eye was crushed in a battle with Leomon.
  • Non-Indicative Name: "Cyclonemon" has absolutely nothing to do with the wind. This one-eyed giant is quite obviously based on the Cyclops. Despite this, "Cyclonemon" is the name that stuck.
  • Revenge: Cyclonemon wants revenge on Leomon for destroying its eye.
  • Shout-Out: To Gigan, a recurring enemy of Godzilla's and the first-ever monster to make the lizard bleed.

Damemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/damemon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion: "Stingmon, The Hero of the Digimon Jungle"
Attacks: Bunbun Ken, Gun Vulcan, Boo~st Attack

Damemon is something that was accidentally born when the waste data drifting through the Digital World randomly combined. Since "No good, no good!" is its favourite phrase, it has a bad habit of criticizing people without reading the atmosphere, regardless of the person or situation. Although it is the sort of person that is definitely the #1 "No good, no good!", somehow it has gotten by with the help of its partner, Tyutyumon. Together with Tyutyumon, Damemon can finally be said to be a real Digimon. Tyutyumon stays on the "Tyutyu tray" on the back of Damemon's head, and takes it along various places to play. When the two of them are together, every day is priceless.

Damemon is partnered to Yuu (Ewan) Amano.

  • Chrome Champion: It's covered in a silvery shell, and is much more competent that its appearance suggests.
  • Dual Mode Unit: Its Dejininpo Bujinhenkanote , or "Warrior Transformation", allows it to transform into Tuwarmon.
  • Expy: Is blatantly a robot version of Sukamon, though unlike Sukamon, Damemon is actually useful in a fight.
  • Fartillery: Its Boo~st attack spreads a stinky gas as it strikes, the gas mainly serving to disorient.
  • Lethal Joke Character: Looks and acts ridiculous, but it's still an incredibly effective fighter.
  • More Dakka: Has guns on its arms and feet, and fires a truly ludicrous amount of times.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Not every Damemon is a Damemon. Some of them are Tuwarmon in disguise.
  • Pokémon Speak: It continually shouts "dame, dame!" which translates to "no good, no good!"
  • Recurring Element: In Digimon Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time, it's the resident Sixth Ranger Digimon that was formerly an antagonist.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Champion. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Talking Poo: Subverted as while it has the shape, it's made of metal.
  • Those Two Guys: Like Sukamon, Damemon has a ratlike companion in Tyutyumon, which often acts as Damemon's brain. Unlike Chuumon however, Tyutyumon is a lot more devious.
  • Toilet Humor: Yet another Digimon shaped like a turd.

Darcmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darcmon_5.png
Debut: Digital Monster Card Game
Attacks: Baptême d'Amour, La Pucelle

A low-ranking Angel Digimon which has the appearance of a woman. It is in the advance forces of Angel Digimon, and its figure which always cuts through the vanguard to battle is said to almost be a "Goddess of the Battlefield".

  • Angelic Beauty: She's an angel Digimon and, while not as beautiful as her potential Ultimate form, Angewomon, she's certainly a sight to behold.
  • Chainmail Bikini: Darcmon's breastplate is both very narrow — a metallic crop top, really — and extremely form-fitting.
  • Cool Sword: It has two, both called "La Pucelle" note . Its "Baptême d'Amour" note  is a magnificent sword technique using its slender sword, La Pucelle.
  • Dual Wielding: A staff and a sword, or two swords for its La Pucelle attack.
  • Inconsistent Dub: The D-Spirit gave it the name "Darukumon".
  • Loincloth: It has one for no other reason than fanservice.
  • Male Gaze: In one artwork from Digimon Collectors, she's shown sitting down with her partially bare legs spread and her loincloth lying down in suggestive manner.
  • Meaningful Name: Its "La Pucelle" swords are a reference to the nickname of Joan of Arc, "La Pucelle d'Orléans" which is French for The Maid of Orléans.
  • Named Weapons: Its swords are both named La Pucelle.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Despite looking like a sexy angel and got named from a famous warrior woman and saint figure, she's much less popular and got much less appearance in adaptations compared to other Angel Digimon like Angemon and Angewomon. Like Dorugamon, Death-X-Dorugamon is a natural carrier of the X-Antibody.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation:
    • Like its uncorrupted state, the official translation fully capitalizes the "DORU" in its name, which is unnecessary.
    • Also like Dorugamon, its Chinese name is mangled, this time into DeaxDolgamon. "Deax" is a shortening of "Death-X" similar to "Dex", except with an added "a", and "Dolgamon" is Japanese Ranguage applied to Dorugamon.
  • Body Horror: It looks like a stitched-together corpse, with some bits of wiring and metal thrown in.
  • Breath Weapon: Its "Cannonball" where it fires cannonballs from its mouth.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deckerdramon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Xros Loader
Attacks: Smokey Fang, Heavy Tailhook

Deckerdramon can be said to be the enemy of all flying Digimon. With its "Deckerdra-launcher" equipped on its back, it also conceals the ability to shoot down any kind of flying Digimon with a variety of anti-aircraft missiles. Because it is difficult to find things below you from up in the sky, it seems to be troublesome to flying Digimon. In particular, because you can't figure out where to attack in a terrain filled with obstacles, its aircraft kill-rate swells.

Deckerdramon is a primary member of the Blue Flare army, being partnered to Kiriha (Christopher) Aonuma.

Deltamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/deltamon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 5
Attacks: Triplex Force, Skull Fang

A Composition Digimon fused from three Digimon. Although each of them had existed as separate Digimon, due to a computer running wild after it was struck by a storm's electromagnetic waves, they were forced to fuse by a computer bug. It is said that since this Digimon, which possesses three heads and two tails, specializes in tripartite attacks that capitalize on its body's traits, it is even able to fight against three Digimon as if they were one. However, because each of them was a fiendish Digimon, they are only of one mind on destruction, and are usually on bad terms with no spirit of cooperation.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Triplex Force" combines energy from its three heads to shoot a single powerful laser beam.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/revolmon.jpg
A mutated Digimon whose body has become a gun barrel. Although the details of how it was born are completely unclear, it has a deep sense of justice and acts as a "Virus Buster". The "Virus Busters" exterminate the spirit of "Evil" possessed even among Vaccines and especially by Viruses, and are Digimon who have the ability to Delete. Also, it has another side that loves gambling, and since it really loves Russian roulette, it is likely to overlook even a Virus Digimon if it can get through Russian roulette, and is unable to hate them for a little while.

A Deputymon is a known member of the Xros Heart (Fusion Fighters) army.
  • BFG: Its "Justice Bullet" where it personally becomes a gun barrel and fires off a bullet of justice
  • Bowdlerise: There was no way in Hell this guy's Japanese name was going to get past censors. So they went with Deputymon, since its anime appearance had it as the deputy to a sheriff Starmon. Some localizations also try to do this with its design, though it rarely if ever goes beyond simply painting the gun blue.
  • Dual Wielding: Its "Quick Shot" where it rapidly fires with its pistols.
  • Guns Akimbo: In addition to the one on its body, it dual-wields two smaller revolvers.
  • Revolvers Are Just Better: So much so that in addition of wields two of them. His whole torso is also a revolver.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devidramon_9.png

Although it is a Dramon-species Digimon, its limbs are unusually developed, so it cuts the opponent to pieces with its elongated arms, and flies about the darkness with its sturdy legs and wings. Its personality is the epitome of wickedness, and it is unmoved by a spirit of compassion. If it glares at them with its four eyes burning in deep crimson, the opponent becomes unable to move, and it will chop up their unresisting body. Also, the tip of its tail is able to open up and take on the shape of a claw, which can skewer the opponent. This Digimon was probably produced by the evil feelings of Hackers who were abusing the Computer Network for their own selfish desires.

Devimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/devimon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 1
Attacks: Death Claw

A Fallen Angel Digimon whose body is clad in jet-black cloth. As proof of that, the Mark of Evil surfaced dramatically on its chest. It has a cunning and fiendish personality, but it also possesses an outstanding intellect. It is said that those who have stared into its two eyes, which shine a deep crimson, are mind-controlled and completely dominated by Devimon.

Devimon is most well-known for being the Starter Villain of Digimon Adventure, where it used the Black Gears to rule File Island. It also has a similar villainous role in the 2020 reboot. Notable people who have used a Digimon include Jimmy KEN.

  • Fallen Angel: It used to be an Angemon before falling into evil and becoming a devil.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Obviously named and based on a traditional devil, complete with the ability to corrupt.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: It's primarily black with red bands and devil markings all over its body.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: It's eyes are red and capable of controlling people.
  • The Corrupter: Its "Death Claw" where it extends both of its extensible arms to puncture the enemy's body, and enforces its will on the opponent's body.

Also, it has an extremely ferocious personality, and a habit of regarding anything that moves as an enemy and swooping down on it. Also, the feathers that cover its whole body contain metal, so it seems it's difficult to inflict damage to Diatrymon barring the greatest of attacks.

Dobermon X (Dobermon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dobermon_x_b.jpg
Attacks: Grau Lärm, Schwarz Strahl

It has become more ferocious, an uncontrollable mad dog. Originally Dobermon was considered ferocious but highly intelligent, said to be the best Beast Digimon for detaining prey, but that a master's absolute skill is necessary to bring out it's full capabilities, and thus close bonds aren't permitted in such a relationship.

  • From Bad to Worse: Regular Dobermon are already difficult to control. The X-Antibody has made Dobermon almost impossible to tame.

Doggymon (Dogmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/doggymon.png

A Puppet Digimon that was produced from an American cartoon TV database. Because its body is very soft and strong, and can expand and contract like rubber, it completely absorbs every attack. Although its appearance gives off the impression that it is very dangerous, it is a harmless Digimon with no malice or aggression.

  • Cartoon Dog Breed: Being an Expy of Western cartoon dogs, it naturally copies Western cartoon dog design, looking a bit like a deranged Pluto the Pup with its orange body and skinny black ears.
  • Cartoon Physics: It can stretch like rubber.
  • Expy: Of Muttley from Hanna-Barbera shows like Wacky Races. Doggymon's appearance in Digimon Frontier is even as the evil sidekick to a villain in a race, no less.

  • Non-Standard Character Design: Because of its Muttley-inspired design, it looks nothing like any of the other Digimon introduced before or since, more resembling something out of Toon World than the Digital World.

Dokugumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dokugumon.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. WonderSwan
Attacks: Stinger Poration

A cursed Digimon in the shape of a spider, whose entire body has been parasitised by a computer virus. While it was originally a spider-type, it had a docile personality typical of insect-type Digimon; however, at some point, it was drawn into a powerful electromagnetic storm and infected by a computer virus that had been circulating around the Network. Since then, it has become but a lump of poison, or in other words a computer virus, that corrodes anything it touches. Not only that, special mention has to be given to its great movement speed, made possible thanks to its eight legs. No matter how desperately one tries to get away, Dokugumon will never be far behind, and it will not stop its chase until the opponent ceases to continue running out of exhaustion.

  • Projectile Webbing: Its "Arachno Batoto" where it shoots a web from its abdomen.
  • Spiders Are Scary: A vicious and predatory spider-like Digimon that destroys everything it touches and never stops hunting its prey. It's also got a poisonous stinger, unlike any real spider.
  • Super-Persistent Predator: It never ceases pursuing its prey, following it relentlessly until it collapses from exhaustion.
  • Weaponized Offspring: Its "Spider Machine Gun" fires Kodokugumon at the enemy, smaller versions of itself with no horns. Kodokugumon is also its Baby II/In-training form.
  • Youkai: It strongly resembles an ushi-oni, a spider-like yokai with the horns of a bull.

Dolphmon (Rukamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rukamon.png

A unique signal that originated within software for researching communication between different kinds of groups changed into a Digimon, as an Aquatic Mammal Digimon with a unique existence. Due to its habitat being limited to the sea, it became able to move about the sea at high speed. As expected from its appearance, it possesses advanced intelligence, but its form of thought is too complex for a normal person to understand. Although it is a species that doesn't like useless battles, It won't go easy against an opponent that comes and challenges it.

According to the D-Power line, this is the Champion level of Kenta Kitagawa's MarineAngemon. Ren Tobari also has one in his possession.

DonShoutmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/donshoutmon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion: "Shinobi Zone, The Comical Ninja Battle!"

"The Manly-Soul Mode" which possesses a furious soul brought forth by the burning fighting spirits of two Digimon. As it rhythmically swung-down Stick strikes its opponents, the shriek of the percussion across the battlefield resounds. Generally speaking, as a Digimon burning hot, its irrepressible fighting spirit will make DonShoutmon rush even into conflicts its not a part of, worsening a situation by leaps and bounds. If there's a petty quarrel in the west, it goes and starts a fist-fight rumble, and if there's a trivial dispute in the east, it goes and starts a feud of wounds. Wherever DonShoutmon is, the conflicts will not be settled. The second that it abruptly dives into someone else's fight, discussion is useless and the opponent, with its Stick, it beats. Next, a different opponent, with its Stick, it beats. The first one, it beats. The next again, it beats. Then a third, it beats. Despite pretending to be beat, it beats. No matter how, it beats. With this beating and beating and beating, a rhythm will gradually be produced. Sometimes harshly and sometimes dolefully, DonShoutmon will battle while singing a tune. These are DonShoutmon's special moves. Although each of these techniques are the same, their names (song titles) seem to differ according to their rhythm.

  • Animate Inanimate Object: A taiko drum with Shoutmon's appearance.
  • Fusion Dance: Between a Shoutmon and a Dondokomon.
  • Iconic Item: Shoutmon's Mic now functions as a drumstick, and there's two of them.

Attacks: Power Metal, Cannonball

A ferocious Beast Dragon Digimon that possesses the disposition of a beast and a dragon, it is such a heavyweight that most Digimon run away just at the sight of its shadow. Although it exhibits that ferocity of a wild beast when it comes to battles, it also has the intelligence of a dragon, and is usually very docile. Because it has an old-style Interface on its brow, it is presumed to be an evolution of a "Prototype Digimon".

Dorugamon is the main Champion level for Dorumon, and as such is a natural carrier of the X-Antibody. It has been notably partnered with Ryuji Mishima and Kota Doumoto from Digimon Chronicle. The Dorumon from Digimon X-Evolution also evolves into this Digimon.

  • "Blind Idiot" Translation:
    • Its official translated name of DORUgamon, which capitalizes the "DORU" in its name. While "DORU" is an acronym, it is unnecessary for the Digimon's name to follow suit.
    • Its Chinese name is Dolgamon, a Japanese Ranguage alteration of Dorugamon.
  • Charged Attack: Its Cannonball attack is strongest after charging up while standing still, though it can also be fired while moving without charging.

  • Our Dragons Are Different: A bipedal, purple furry dragon.
  • Purple Is Powerful: It is purple and powerful enough to make most others run at just its shadow.

Debuted in: Digimon Xros Wars: "Xrosroad!! The Boys' Paths Cross"
Attacks: Drill Buster, Dorulu Tornado, Drill Blader

A faithful beast Digimon with a chivalrous spirit. As it usually sticks to the rock-covered mountains, it often acts alone without flocking to others. The drill on its head is a hardened portion of its hairs, and its "Drill Buster", which rapidly spins the drill and then shoots it, boasts unerring accuracy. It specializes in using "Hit and Away" tactics as its strategy, where it runs around while on land at high speed to confuse the opponent before inflicting a single blow.

  • This Is a Drill: Has two drills, one on its head and one at the end of its tail. The head drill is actually a part of its mane that has become stiff enough to use as one.

Dorulu Cannon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dorulucannon.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Reference Book

Dorulumon's "Bombardment Mode". It is Dorulumon's greatest Special Move, condensing and firing all the energy that it possesses. Because Dorulumon most focus on charging the energy, the cooperation of another Digimon to take charge of sighting is essential in order to hit the target. Also, while charging the energy, Dorulumon's defensive power goes down to zero, leaving it completely defenceless. It becomes essential at this time to have another Digimon's aid in guarding it, and it can be said that this bold move can only be used when it has absolute trust in its partner.

  • Equippable Ally: By necessity, since Dorulumon can't move at all in this form.
  • Glass Cannon: Dorulumon loses all form of defence upon assuming this form.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it (or Shoutmon using the Dorulu Cannon) a Rookie level. However, as this is a form Dorulumon itself can take, it's listed here.

The prevailing view that the Child-level is the final form of artificial Digimon has been refuted thanks to the changing times and the passion of a researcher; they have achieved evolution to the Adult-level. Because Eosmon lacks emotion and moves according to the researcher's instructions, its good or wicked actions are down to the researcher.

Eosmon is known for being the partner of Menoa Bellucci.

  • Call-Back: Way back in Labramon's profile, it was mentioned that most artificially created Digimon don't go past Rookie. Eosmon's states this has now been thoroughly disproven (as seen with the examples of Plotmon, Arkadimon and Labramon itself).
  • Meaningful Name: In Greek mythology, Eos (Ἠώς) is a Titaness and the goddess of the "dawn".
  • Shock and Awe: It's "Bolt Rip" mixes its scales with electric shocks gathered in its palms and fires them at the enemy.

It absorbs sunlight through its antennae, and converts it into electrical energy within its body.

  • Bee People: It looks like a humanoid bee with its abdomen, complete with a stinger, acting as a tail.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It has a stinger on its abdomen, which given its humanoid build acts more as a particularly bulky tail that it can balance on.

The Greymon that inhabit the Folder Continent don't have frenzied personalities, and because of their great intellect they are able to use fighting styles that rely on cooperation with their comrades.

Greymon is one of the most well-known Digimon in the franchise, namely as a result of being the Champion level of the Series Mascot Agumon. It is partnered to Taichi Yagami (Tai Kamiya), Taiga, Nokia Shiramine, Takuma Momotsuka, and the unnamed rival tamer in Digimon Project 2021.

  • Breakout Character: Believe it or not, it qualifies for this trope. Agumon's Champion form according to Word of God was supposed to be Tyrannomon, as Bandai had intended Greymon to be more akin to an Infinity +1 Sword that's harder to achieve than Tyrannomon. However, it was ironically easier to get Greymon than Tyrannomon due to the latter having to not be raised good enough for Greymon, but not bad enough for Devimon. As a result, Greymon became the prominent Champion form of Agumon while Tyrannomon was quickly Demoted to Extra.

A Tyrannosaurus-type Dinosaur Digimon. • Playing with Fire: Just like the Regular version of Greymon.

Grizzlymon (Gryzmon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gryzmon.jpg
Attacks: Atemigaeshi

Its body is clearly massive, and its fangs and claws conceal a deadly ability, but though its appearance is ferocious, it is a Beast Digimon which possesses the spirit of an honorable martial artist. It can nimbly dodge the opponent's attacks, turning them aside, as with its exceptional grappling sense it doesn't need to rely on its own attacks. Though Grizzlymon never starts fights, once someone makes it angry it will stand up on its back legs and knock them down with its heavyweight forelegs, "Kuma Tsume"note . With just this blow, most Digimon suffer a mortal wound as strong as the power they possess. These "Kuma Tsume" appear to have been imitated in WaruMonzaemon's "Bear Claw" equipment.

However, Growlmon's power has clearly increased, and the blades on both of its elbows have enlarged even more, developing and causing plasma to appear when attacking the enemy.

  • Breath Weapon: Its "Exhaust Flame" spews out a powerful blaze with a roar.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Its "Plasma Blade" charges the blades on its forearms with plasma and slices the enemy with them and "Raiden Blade" releases destructive energy produced from the "Plasma Blades" on both of its elbows.

Due to the fact that it always has a grasp on all of the latest intelligence in the Digital World, as well as governing the legions of Monitamon to always lead them to triumph, it holds the alias of "the Black Electromagnetic Wave", and the deep trust of the Monitamon. Attacks: Harpoon Vulcan

A Marine Animal Digimon that was discovered in the computer of an Arctic exploration base. Its thick fur and stout body are structured so that it can endure even freezing lands. Its sharp horn is made of "Mithril", one of the rare metals, and the skin under its fur is just as hard. The portions of its soles where its claws attach are heat tops that are able to give off high temperatures at will. As such, it's able to maintain a tight footing when on ice, but it isn't able to move very nimbly. When in battle, it will intimidate the opponent with an impressive roar similar to a lion's.

A fairly unique Insect Digimon, even among newly discovered Digimon. The details of how it evolved into an insect Type are unclear, but it has both ant-like power and the flawless defensive ability possessed by a beetle. Its personality is the epitome of an insect's, and because it only possesses the instincts for survival, it has no intelligence or anything similar. It swoops down on hostile Virus Digimon without mercy. Its head has been metallized, and boasts the defense of an iron wall.

As a result, while it is slightly more intelligent than Numemon, it in turn grew a cowardly personality, and will retreat into its shell in shock at even the slightest disturbance. Its defense is extremely high while it is holed up in its shell, remaining firm even when it is kicked or stepped on.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kinkakumon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Ghost Game
Attacks: Oni Explosive Funeral, Dokidokidokyūn, Lightning Oni Kick

Kinkakumon is a rampaging girl that is feared as one of the "Gold and Silver Oni Brothers" alongside its little brother Ginkakumon. Since it's the type to rush headlong into a love affair, it's a romantic Digimon that will begin violently attacking if there's a Digimon it's interested in. In addition, because it is a thoughtless person prone to making silly mistakes and jumping to the wrong conclusion, if it falls in love with its opponent then the misunderstanding will cause a ruckus. Because it has a confident personality but is naive in the ways of love, it strikes the opponent and sends them soaring if it's bashful, and strikes them dolefully if it's snubbed, so no matter how many lives the opponent it likes has, they aren't enough.

  • Chainmail Bikini: It wears one.
  • Our Ogres Are Hungrier: Classified as an Ogre-type.
  • Red Baron: It and Ginkakumon are called the "Gold and Silver Oni Brothers".

  • Shoutout: It's name is derived from Kinkaku, the Japanese translation of Jīnjiǎo (金角, "Gold-Horn"), a character from the novel Journey to the West who was the brother of Yínjiǎo ("Silver-Horn").
  • Yandere: It is very much so.

Kiwimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kiwimon.png

A mythical, ancient Digimon that was said to have been overhunted to extinction due to the spread of the Internet. Although it is a Bird Digimon, its wings have completely degenerated so it is unable to fly in the air. Furthermore, it possesses the makeup of a Plant-type and is able to perform photosynthesis with the leaf-like things growing on its head, providing itself with nourishment. It has no other ways of defending itself aside from the hard shell that covers its head, and it is easily attacked by intruders due to its docile personality.

Kiwimon is partnered with the French Chosen Child Catherine Deneuve.

  • Armless Biped: Due to its basis in a flightless bird with no visible wings, Kiwimon has no limbs besides its powerful legs.
  • Beak Attack: Its "Nose Mattock" where it pecks at the enemy repeatedly.
  • Dem Bones: Its head looks like a skull.
  • Not So Extinct: According to the anime, at least, Kiwimon are still around.

Despite being completely charred after exploding, the Chibi Kiwimon return safely.

Both forms of KnightChessmon are respectively partnered to Miki Kurosaki and Megumi Shirakawa.

Kokatorimon (Cockatrimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kokatorimon_7.png
Debut: Digital Monster Ver. 4
Attacks: Petra Fire

A Giant Bird Digimon with two overdeveloped legs. Because it has continued to live on the ground for so long, it cannot fly through the air, and has evolved a body that is suited for land. For that reason, its body became even larger, and its leg strength has developed tremendously, as well. Parts of its wings have completely degenerated, and in battle, it spreads them wide with its tail to intimidate the opponent. Its disposition is violently ferocious, but in order to preserve its large build, it dislikes violent battles that consume its energy.

Notable users of Kokatorimon include Neo Saiba and Ren Tobari.

  • Acrophobic Bird: Kokatorimon is a chicken-like Digimon that is unable to fly. This is the reason why Biyomon, whose flying ability is still underdeveloped, wants to evolve into the Giant Flyer Birdramon instead.
  • Basilisk and Cockatrice: It's based off of the mythical cockatrice, a rooster-like beast that petrified those who met its glance.
  • Battle Boomerang: Its "Feather Cutter" throws the crest on its head like a boomerang at the foe.

  • Toothy Bird: Has quite the sharp set of these.

Komondomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/komondomon.jpg
A Vehicle Digimon that loves to carry and transport Digimon. It feels like it is taking a walk wherever it goes and has a carefree personality that doesn't mind wherever it sets foot. It can dive and navigate underwater by spinning its tail. Although its long fur coat constantly gets dirty from being dragged along the ground, it actually likes to keep things fairly clean.

Kogamon (Kougamon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kougamon.jpg
A shinobi Digimon who dons a purple mask and lives in the darkness. It is in the midst of travelling the Digital World in order to hone its Kouga-style ninjutsu. It is rarely encountered as it often moves from shadow to shadow in order to avoid being seen by others.
  • Evil Counterpart: Of Ninjamon.
  • Ninja: It's based on the Koga-ryu ninja clan. Unlike Ninjamon, it's more focused on assassination than espionage.
  • Palette Swap: A purple version of the red Ninjamon.
  • Self-Duplication: Its "Kouga-ryū Kage Bunshin" note  where it creates a shadow clone that attacks the enemy at the same time as Kougamon.

Kuwagamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kuwagamon_2.png

An insect Digimon armed with gigantic pincers on its head. Like Kabuterimon, it has combat abilities that far exceed those of similar species that inhabit File Island. It is protected by a tenacious power and a sturdy shell, and in particular, as the power of its pincers is super-powerful, once it clamps an enemy it will squeeze until the opponent's life is extinguished. There is a perfect rivalry between it and Kabuterimon, and there is only "conflict" between them.

Notable people who have used a Kuwagamon include Neo Saiba and Arata Sanada, as well as the Russian Chosen Child Yuri.

  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: A giant hostile red stag beetle with powerful jaws.
  • Eyeless Face: Like many other insect Digimon, Kuwagamon has no eyes — its head is covered by an unbroken plate of chitin.
  • Japanese Beetle Brothers: It's a Type B Kuwagatamushi to Kabuterimon's Kabutomushi — it is stated that "There is a perfect rivalry between Kuwagamon and it, and there is only "conflict" between them."

Kuwagamon X (Kuwagamon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kuwagamonx2.jpg
Although it instinctively regards Vaccine-species as its enemies, it has gone even as far as treating Data-species as its enemies and attacks them, so its nature as a Virus-species has become more intense. It now prefers ravenous fighting styles.

  • Facial Markings: The markings on Kuwagamon's head now extend down to its jaw from a crest.
  • From Bad to Worse: A regular Kuwagamon is an ax-crazy rampager anyway. The effects of the X-Antibody means that Kuwagamon is now even less discriminate in its rampages.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Its "Crunch Arm" where it minces and injures the enemy with its feet, which have sharply increased in power, and then aims at their wounds to deliver a fatal blow with the pincers on its head.

Kyubimon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kyubimon_7.jpg

While its attack power isn't actually high, it in turn specializes in magical techniques that utilize its tremendous physical strength. It is said to be able to spring across the sky with its four feet blazing with blue flames.

  • Playing with Fire: Its "Onibidama" note  where it shoots nine blue fireballs from its tails which can attack individually or surround the foe and explode in an inferno, Koshūgeki note  where it attacks with a fiery headbutt and "Amatsu-kitsune" gathers its blue fireballs into a large ball of energy that falls on an enemy unleashes a ring of light.

Kyubimon (Silver)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kyuubimon_vaccine.jpg
A subspecies of Kyubimon whose fur is silver. Although it's less intelligent than Kyubimon, it seems to have excellent speed.

Lavorvomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lavorvomon.png

A Digimon whose entire body is made out of lava, and spouts mineral dust as it goes about its activities. It is poor at flying despite having wings, so it mainly moves about by crawling on the ground. Contrary to its sluggish appearance, its crawling speed is extremely fast, and it closes in on the enemy in an instant. Although it has a friendly personality and will let those it trusts near it without any reservations, others tend to stay as far away as they can from it out of fear that the flammable mineral dust it spouts may cause an explosion.

Lavorvomon is the Champion level of Vorvomon.

  • Magma Man: A dragon made of partly-cooled lava.

It carries a sentient magical sword named "Shishiou-maru" on its waist.

Leomon is notable for continually making appearances in some shape or form, only to die at some point. Its most well-known partnership was with Juri Kato (Jeri Katou).

It freely wields its longsword "Jūga-maru" and its magical sword "Shishiou-maru", which are said to have increased in sharpness due to its countless battles, by dual wielding them, so it is definitely a "Beast Gladiator". Since its red mantle was obtained when it confronted an Ultimate Digimon, it is said to be the proof of a hero.
  • Badass Cape: Has a huge red cape, which it got after fighting Dukemon

Liamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/liamon.jpg
A Holy Beast Digimon that exudes the style of a "King", even though it is only an Adult. It is said to be a Digimon that evolved from Liollmon, but there are even fewer surviving individuals than those of Liollmon, so its existence is becoming an "illusion". In battle, it will change masks to use various abilities and display specialized tactics.

  • Cool Mask: It has five different ones, which it uses to express its moods and use its abilities. Taking off one mask simply reveals another. It also has several masks based on other Digimon it's close to in its cape.
  • Deadly Disc: Its "Nine Kinds of Nine-Faced Strikes" attack has it use its masks as these. The attack's animation in New Century shows it throwing its blue, pink, and green masks while wearing its angry (red) mask.
  • Life of the Party: It performs with its masks to liven up festivals.
  • Mask of Power: Its "Devotion Phase" and "Iron Wall Phase" are both activated through its masks.
  • Meaningful Name: It's named after Chinese opera makeup.
  • The Medic: Its "Devotion Phase" has it use its lovestruck (pink) mask to heal its allies.
  • Mutants: It's classified as a Mutant Digimon.
  • Super-Toughness: Its Iron Wall Phase makes its body as hard as ore. In New Century, this is implemented as it periodically letting off an attack that gives its defense a stacking buff that also factors into subsequent attacks' damage calculations.

Loogarmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/loogarmon.jpg
Attacks: Howling Burner, Flame Blow

A Demon Beast Digimon that generates vast amounts of magical power within its body. The amount of magical power it generates is extraordinary, so it constantly releases it from its mouth in the form of flames. These flames have enough burning and spreading power to incinerate its surroundings just by roaring. Since the flames are rooted in magic, they burn for quite a long time, and those who are attacked will suffer more damage than expected. Because it has an outdated interface on its brow, it is presumed to be an evolution of a "Prototype Digimon".

Loogarmon is the Champion level of Loogamon and is partnered to Eiji Nagasumi.

  • Breath Weapon: Its Howling Burner concentrates its flames in its mouth and releases it as a beam.
  • Evil Counterpart: As Loogamon was to Dorumon, so Loogarmon is to Dorugamon.
  • The Immune: It carries the X-Antibody.
  • Power Incontinence: Loogarmon is constantly generating magical fire, and constantly has to release it. Exactly what happens if it tries keeping it in is unclear.
  • Restraining Bolt: Loogarmon has a muzzle on its jaw, but clearly it hasn't worked; it's just melted from the heat of Loogarmon's flames.
  • Savage Wolves: A demonic wolf-like Digimon.
  • Walking Wasteland: Loogarmon just roaring lets off its fire power, incinerating everything around it.
  • Wreathed in Flames: Its "Flame Blow" attack has Loogarmon wrap itself in its flames and charge its enemies.

Machmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/machmon.jpg
Debut: Digimon Pendulum Z II
Attacks: Full-Throttle Edge, Madness Fire

A Cyborg Digimon that yearns for speed. Dust clouds over barren plains are often caused by Machmon's roaring. Although its appearance resembles that of a motorcycle, it doesn't have a seat, and so no-one is willing to ride it. However, it thinks it will eventually find a Digimon destined to master it. It views anyone who travels at high speed as an enemy, so it is a natural born bosozoku.

  • Cool Bike: It is the bike.
  • Challenge Seeker: It views anyone who travels at high speed as an enemy. According to Rebellimon's profile, Machmon tend to travel in packs.
  • More Dakka: Its "Madness Fire" attack has it shoot indiscriminately with the guns mounted on its front wheels.
  • Sentient Vehicle: It's a cyborg motorbike.

MadLeomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/madleomon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion

A berserker that lost its intelligence and enhanced its combat instinct. Although it was originally a lion Digimon, it heaped modification upon modification and arrived at its current appearance. In the process, its consciousness vanished, and it became nothing more than a puppet that defeats those standing before it, as it is commanded. Because it doesn't act or think according to its natural instincts, it exhibits headlong assaults, heedless of any traps or gadgets. Although it is fundamentally high-powered, its patterns are meagre, with nothing but primitive attacks such as hitting and kicking. Nevertheless, caution is necessary, because its sharp claws bear a deadly poison which can cause anything to rot away.

MadLeomon served as the Starter Villain in Digimon Fusion.

  • The Berserker: MadLeomon has lost all the intelligence and morals that it had as Leomon and is now just a mindless zombie.
  • The Brute: It's stated to have raw physical power, but with primative, predictable attack patterns thanks to its lack of rational or instinctual thought. As such, it rushes headlong into battle without minding any traps or devices that may stop it.
  • Fallen Hero: A Leomon that, through constant modifications to its body, has become little more than a puppet that only acts as instructed.
  • Hand Blast: It's a Leomon variant, so of course it has one. Its main attack is Jūoudaken note , which bites through anything in its way.
  • Poisonous Person: Its Fudokusou note  slashes the opponent with a highly toxic, highly decaying venom.
  • Primal Stance: Unlike Leomon's perfect posture, MadLeomon is drawn hunched over and its legs slightly crouched.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Happens to be dark purple, and while physically, it's powerful, MadLeomon's brain has long since left the building.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Its eyes glow a sinister red.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Champion level. It previously did not have a level due to debuting in the Digimon Fusion continuity.
  • Running Gag: It's a Leomon that's already managed to die. However, nothing's stopping it from dying again.
  • Scary Stitches: Parts of its body now seem to be held together by stitches.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Has large spikes jutting out of its shoulders.
  • Too Many Belts: Its arms are covered in belts.
  • The Undead: Labelled as such.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Compared to MachLeomon, it's a hulking brute with a lot more power behind its punches.

MadLeomon: Armed Mode

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/armed_madleomon_b.jpg
Debuted in: Digimon Fusion

The "Weapon-Frenzy Mode" of MadLeomon, who gave itself a chainsaw as well as even more modifications. Due to its repeated modifications and unbalanced chainsaw, intense pain is always running through its body, enraging MadLeomon. Because it is unable to stay still, due to its pain, it sees anything reflected in its eyes as an enemy and attacks.

  • Armor Is Useless: Now has armor on its chest, arms and legs, but it's too mindlessly angry to do anything with it.
  • The Berserker / Unstoppable Rage: Due to its modifications, it's in too much pain to calm down. And it wasn't exactly very calm to begin with.
  • Chainsaw Good: Now has a large chainsaw called "The Lion" attached to its hand. Unfortunately, it's not very well designed, and is driving MadLeomon even crazier than it already was.
  • Retcon: In 2020, the Digimon Reference Book made it a Champion like regular MadLeomon.

MailBirdramon

  • Palette Swap: Downplayed. It's a very slightly darker shade of blue than the regular Veedramon.

Mekanorimon (Mechanorimon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mekanorimon.png

It is a Powered Suit Digimon used exclusively by tiny Digimon, and is the first Vehicle Digimon in the Digital World. It is a unique Digimon that is unable to move on its own and is incapable of action unless it is being piloted by another Digimon. Considering its Virus attribute, the pilot Digimon can probably be considered a Virus attribute, too. It is a Digimon that is still in development, and if it is overworked then its computer kernel (Digicore) will totally overheat.

  • Animate Inanimate Object: Averted, actually, unlike other object-based Digimon. Mechanorimon have to be piloted in order to do anything.
  • Energy Weapon: Its "Twinkle Beam" shoots a laser beam from the lens in its torso that causes the enemy to lose control of their body.
  • Enhanced Punch: Its "Gyro Break" is a mechanically powered, explosive corkscrew punch.
  • Flawed Prototype: The first Vehicle type Digimon. It's got a few bugs - it's got no free will of its own, and tends to completely overheat if pushed too far.
  • Meaningful Name: Mecha is short for mechanical and Nori comes from norimono (乗り物), which means vehicle.

Meicoomon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/meicoomon.jpg
A Champion Digimon characterized by its large ears and tail. Despite being hard to imagine, based on its fluffy coat of fur and adorable appearance, it actually possesses sharp claws underneath its paws. Other than hiding its shy face, the two feelers growing from Meicoomon's neck are also excellent to use as a scarf in cold times.

Meicoomon is best-known as the partner of Meiko Mochizuki.
  • Absurdly Sharp Claws: Its "X Scratch" where it scratches the opponent with the claws of both hands, making an X and "Shut Claw" where it scratches the opponent with its sharp claws.

  • Barrier Warrior: They're capable of producing levitating force fields to protect themselves or others.

  • Exotic Eye Designs: Meicoomon has green eyes with cross-shaped pupils. They rotate to form X's in its berserk form.
  • Expy: It is one of Gatomon. They're both based on cats, are Champions/Adults the size of Rookies/Children and in the Adventure series, they're the partners of the Sixth Rangers. Meicoomon was even specifically created for tri. to fill this role. Taken even further with its Rookie and In-training forms which are literally just palette swaps of Plotmon and Nyaromon in Meicoomon's colours.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: As mentioned above, it's the same size as a Rookie/Child, not even three feet tall.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Their eyes tend to turn red whenever they're preparing an attack.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: It is a very cute looking feline Digimon, based on a breed of cat called the Maine Coon.
  • Wolverine Claws: Two of its attacks use its claws, which grow longer in its berserk form.

Meramon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/meramon_0.png

A Flame Digimon whose entire body is shrouded in crimson flames. As a Digimon generated from the defensive "Firewall" which prevents illegal entries from the Internet and the like, it possesses a violent temperament like the flames that envelop its body, and tries to incinerate everything it touches. Its fire power is stronger than those of the same species on File Island, and because taming this Digimon is extremely difficult, even if it's tamed, there's no telling when it will bare its fangs.

According to the D-Power line, the Impmon of Digimon Tamers fame has this as its Champion level, though this seems to be phased out starting with the Vital Bracelet, which uses Wizarmon instead. Other notabale users of Meramon include the Indian Chosen Child Mina, and Jimmy KEN.

  • Elemental Embodiment: It's a human-shaped fire elemental.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Burning Fist" where it flares up its arms and either punches the opponent or throws one or more fireballs. In Digimon Masters, flares up its entire body to burn the opponent. Its "Heat Knuckle" where it punches the enemy, sending heat through them.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/meramonx.jpg
Its violent temperament has grown even more, and if it discovers approaching Virus-species, it will strike them down and go on a fierce rampage despite being a Data-species. The reason it is unafraid of Virus-species is because it acquired a barrier known as the "X-Patch", which has collected in its right hand.
  • Elemental Punch: Its "Burning Fist" where it flares up its arms and either punches the opponent or throws one or more fireballs.
  • Playing with Fire: Its "X-radicate", which it unleases from the "X-Patch" on its right hand, burns anything without leaving a trace.

Mikemon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mikemon.png

A never-before-seen calico cat-like Beast Digimon. It is said that the data of Nyaromon slept within its body through the Child phase, but re-manifested as an Adult. However, because it is not a Holy Beast, it does not wear a "Holy Ring". As it is a very intelligent Digimon, it is usually calm and docile, but when it comes to battle it makes sport of the enemy with its nimble movements, and fights using its specialty martial arts.

  • Meaningful Name: Mike comes from Mikeneko 「三毛猫(ミケネコ)」 meaning "tortoiseshell cat".
  • Palette Swap: It's a data-attribute, calico recolor of the vaccine-attribute, white Gatomon.

Mimicmon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mimicmon.jpg
An Adult Digimon thought to have mutated from security software used for protecting computer terminals. As a result of capturing and taking in Virus-types that invaded its territory similar to a trap, its own attribute has become Virus as well. There are numerous Digimon sealed within its body, and the arms and horn coming out of its cage all originate from other Digimon. The weapon on its arm, "Dead Shot", which is its main equipment, is also loaded from the Digimon it has sealed, but its power has dropped dramatically due to the data being compressed.

  • Power Creep: Minotaurmon was introduced as an Ultimate level, but had since been reduced to a Champion.

Mojyamon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mojyamon.png

A hairy Rare Animal Digimon completely covered in white fur. It lives in the hinterland of snowy mountains, and it is very unlikely to come across one. There are many reported sightings of Mojyamon, but no evidence to prove its existence, so for a long period it was considered to be a Digimon based on myths. Monochromon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monochromon_0.jpg

An Ankylosaurus Digimon that has grown a rhinoceros-like horn on its snout. Its huge horn becomes large enough to account for half its body length as it grows. The hard substance covering parts of its horn and half its body possesses hardness of the same quality as diamond, and it is said that there is nothing that cannot be penetrated by this horn. Monochromon can be said to be a Digimon that excels in both offense and defense. As it is herbivorous, it has a relatively docile personality, but once it is angered, it will continue to unleash terrifying counterattacks from its body like a heavy tank.

Monochromon is partnered to the Mexican Chosen Child Chichos (Rosa).

Monochromon X (Monochromon (X-Antibody))

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monochromonx.jpg

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/musyamon2.jpg
Originally, it was the data of a samurai master from an overseas video game, but it was infected by a computer virus, and evolved to become this armored warrior Digimon. Its countless battles with Digimon have reduced it to its current appearance of a ruthless ochimusha, but this can also be said to be proof of this Digimon's terrifying combat ability and vitality. Musyamon is the very image of a savage warrior who continues to live through its endless battles. The demon sword it wields in its right hand, "Shiratori-maru", is engraved with a forbidden curse that causes it to steal the lifeforce of any opponent it cuts, and is said to grow sharper for every thousand Digimon it slays. It is considering one day issuing a challenge to Leomon, to have a decisive battle with it and its cherished sword, Shishiou-maru.
