Week 6
- Spirit provides the first major hitch in The Corruption's plan, as he may be trapped in the game, but is far from helpless within it, resisting against Boyfriend's deletion attempts (even having his eyes removed by Boyfriend, leaving empty sockets does nothing but piss him off) until the game is destroyed and making a valiant attempt at bringing Boyfriend down with him.
Week 7
- Though Daddy Dearest's efforts to stop Boyfriend in Week 7 were all in vain, he proves to be a formidable opponent, as he's able to hold his own against a whole army of corrupted victims.
Week 8
- After the rest of the cast falling victim to the corruption, Boyfriend, along with Soul Boyfriend, finally manage to win a point over it and avert the weekly Downer Ending, with the protagonist breaking free of it through The Power of Rock via a brand new guitar.
Week 9
- After many fake-outs, Boyfriend manages to free Girlfriend from the corruption, catching her in his arms as she falls. She even gives him a thumbs up go show she is alright. Not only that, but Boyfriend manages to remain on his toes as he manages to swiftly evade gunfire from a corrupted Pico all while continuing to keep Girlfriend safe, setting up the next week.
Week 10
- Boyfriend succeeds in overpowering Evil Pico, even when he assumes a One-Winged Angel appearance, by punching him in the face. Pico picks himself up right as a hoard of corrupted Tankmen approach, shooting them all down as Boyfriend and Girlfriend cheer him on.
Week 11
- Boyfriend and Pico manage to hold out well against the Tankman Colossus, though said giant manages to endure its entire standalone song without even a dent (at least, from our heroes). It takes the Harvester doing a Badass Fingersnap to outright destroy it.
- Speaking of the Harvester, they signify a real Establishing Character Moment by easily wiping out the Tankman Colossus with just a single gesture, a feat Boyfriend and Pico were struggling to perform together. Depending on their alignment, it's still clear that they're a dangerous foe to contend with.
