Refreshing Stories (originally titled スカッとLINE, Sukatto LINE, lit. "Refreshing LINEs" in Japanese) is a YouTube Vyond channel. It is an anthology series that stars mostly Hiroshi Ohira and Rin Aizawa.

Depending on the character taking the role of the protagonist, the stories follow specific plotlines: Hiroshi's stories mostly center on him either being cheated on by the Girl of the Week or dealing with an abusive boss while Rin's stories mostly center on her dealing with rich girls or women who bully her, be it at high school or a neighborhood, with the latter featuring her delinquent background as an additional struggle.

  • Sukatto Gakuen (スカッと学園, lit. "Refreshing Academy") stars the same protagonists going through various antics in a high-school setting. It can be found here.

  • Make an Example of Them: "My wife and boss were having an affair during working hours, so I exposed them during a meeting" features a non-lethal, nonviolent example. Hiroshi exposes Mizuho and Renta's affair through an online meeting with President Kureha, whom he notified about the affair to gather all Syspico personnel. While the lovebirds tried to deny their affair, Kureha has none of their lies and makes an example out of them to the rest of the personnel. As a result, the Syspico employees became so afraid of her persistence they don't do halfway jobs anymore.
  • Malicious Slander:
  • Mama Bear: Rin came incognito to her son Yuto's school to find out why he came beaten up and angry at her. When she found out Yuto was bullied by a classmate named Jidai and his group of bullies, she beat them up and gave them a good scare.
  • Man Bites Man: In Girlfriend was cheating on me with her lover with my money, Rio and her lover stumble upon the Bocca della Verità stone, she places her hand on its mouth to see if it's true it bites liars. Hiroshi, who was next to the stone without them noticing, makes his surprise entry by biting her.
  • Meal Ticket: A non-platonic, indirect version is found in this story, when two women named Nozomi Manpuku and Kamine Mokose bring Rin along to go out with them for meals and then force her to pay their bills since she was married to a rich CEO.
  • Meet Cute: In "My boss forgot to turn off the camera after the Zoom meeting and..." Hiroshi met his wife, Chako, by bumping into her at the street. However, Chako goes out to drink with her friend Chihiro and bumps into Mr. Hozuki while drunk before having an affair with him.
  • Mistaken for Cheating:
  • Mistaken for Santa: In "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it..." Hiroshi dons a Santa costume to catch his cheating wife, Shino, in bed with her lover Furuta while they were asleep. When they wake up, Furuta mistakes him for Santa at first sight and asks him for a video game console, but ends up realizing the truth when Shino calls Hiroshi by his name.
  • Mistaken from Behind: In this story, Hiroshi hires affair detective Akanat Tanaka to investigate his wife Kanako. However, he ends up stalking an old lady instead because her hair and clothes look like Kanako's. Later on, Hiroshi himself makes the same mistake and ends up mistaking an old lady in a shady district for Kanako.
  • Ms. Red Ink:
    • "Wife left me because I wasn't making enough money": Kaneko overspends Hiroshi's money on frivolities and gambling despite his pleas for her to stop. When he informs her that he's getting fired, Kaneko divorces him because that means he's not giving her money anymore.
    • "My girlfriend dumped me because I was poor, but a few years later...": Riho is a chronic spender and always badgers Hiroshi into buying expensive designer stuff and even tells him to work from home on top of his current job so he'll earn more money for her. When the company Hiroshi worked at filed for bankruptcy and he had to live in a cheaper apartment, Riho dumped him for a richer guy named Masaya.
  • Mugging the Monster: Shitsukoi relieved himself on Hiroshi and then beat him up, only for the man to reveal at the orientation held the next day, that he is the CEO. Shitsukoi promptly gets fired and expelled, then arrested for his crimes.
  • Never Win the Lottery: In "Girlfriend dumped me, then…" Hiroshi started to buy lottery tickets after being rejected by Kana. The old lady at the ticket stand even lampshades it until Hiroshi wins a $300 million prize, much to her surprise. However, Hiroshi kept a frugal attitude to avoid attracting attention until Kana called intending to get back with him.
  • No Accounting for Taste: Hiroshi fails to spot the red flags in the Girl of the Week's behaviors and falls for her lies. Even when she proves herself to be lazy and untrustworthy, he will still work to provide for her in the hopes she'll reciprocate. However, he'll draw the line when she cheats before punishing both her and her lover(s) for her betrayal.
  • Not in Front of the Parrot!: In "My wife was having an affair at home… but my pet parrot exposed them," Hiroshi's pet parrot, Kuru-chan, exposes Fuka's affair with his rich rival Mr. Sakaraumi by repeating the words she said to the man in front of her.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Some episodes have Hiroshi being mistreated by an in-law who is usually a mother-in-law:
    • Kikuko bosses Hiroshi around in his own home despite the fact he is the CEO of his own company.
    • Hiroshi's father-in-law didn't like him very much and invited himself to his and his wife's honeymoon just to score a vacation for free. But after hearing about their plans such as bungee jumping and fearing that his wig would come off and reveal his baldness, he tried to demand that Hiroshi cancel the reservation but the travel agent was closed and there is a cancellation fee. Hiroshi made him sign a document swearing that he will never come on the honeymoon and other places so he'll refer his father-in-law to someone who will cancel his trip for free.
    • Rin's mother-in-law didn't like her because she was a high school graduate and therefore didn't consider her worthy of her son Makoto. Furthermore, she showed up at the couple's house and attempts to drive Rin away into divorcing him.
    • Yotaro looked down on his brother-in-law Hiroshi for being a corporate drone, yet always bugged him for money, only stopping when his sister Yukiko showed up. Moreover, he even used Hiroshi's hair wax and emptied the tin, which drove Hiroshi to plan revenge on the flashy bastard along with his other in-laws by substituting heavy-duty glue for the hair wax.
    • Iyami looked down on her son-in-law Hiroshi because he never went to college. She decided to eat at Hiroshi's restaurant for free just because he's her son in law. When Hiroshi joined Manpuku's restaurant and moved to New York, Iyami couldn't get away with sticking the bill on Hiroshi and during the Elder's Meeting, she had to make the members pay the bill but her husband was very angry with her.
    • Hiroshi's mother-in-law initially got along with him; however, she gradually changes her attitude towards him because she thinks he is unemployed despite him having a job as a full-time artist. She later starts bullying Hiroshi whenever Sae is not around and also refuses to listen to him despite he really is telling the truth.
    • Gatsumi gave Hiroshi a hard time for not having a "real job" (he studies sea creatures). In addition to this, she also kept stealing his sea urchins and eating them. Hiroshi got back at her when a friend gave him another species of sea creature. Gatsumi stole them as usual thinking they were lobster but she and her husband were unable to eat them and when she called Hiroshi, he informed her that they were crayfish.
  • Obviously Fake Signature: Rin's sister begged her for a signature for Dekabukuro, of which she's a huge fan. When she refused, their mom came with an alleged signature she found online. When the sister shows it off to her friends, they find out it is fake and show her Dekabukuro's real signature before leaving.
  • Ocular Gushers: While child characters cry high-pressure teardrops as expected of Vyond's Business-Friendly style, the episode "A fire occurred at my wife's family house and..." shows Sayaka crying actual streams of tears after both Hiroshi and her father find out about her affair with Kenji.
  • Office Romance: Mizuho cheated on Hiroshi with a coworker named Renta; they even kept at it when the president Kureha announced there will be a $1000 reward for reporting affairs.
  • Old Maid:
  • Older Than They Look: Bunta despite having the height of a child, is an adult.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: In "My wife was having an affair at an abandoned hotel… which was also the venue for the air soft match," Mikoshi left the survival game team after Hiroshi allegedly shot him in one of their past matches, causing Hiroshi, Bunta, and the rest of the team to follow suit. Years later, Mikoshi still refuses to let go of the past and sets up a hard airsoft match to trick him into losing. Hiroshi still wins by shooting him despite dressing up a hostage dummy as himself.
  • One-Steve Limit: The episode "Husband cheated on me…" features an aversion as the antagonist is named Hiroshi, who is different from the recurring character of the same name.
  • Panty Thief:
    • Rin kept having her underwear stolen whenever she hangs it outside. The thief was revealed to be Takeo, when Rin and Mrs. Umeno traded places to catch the culprit.
    • Seto stole a woman's underwear and framed Taro for it and created a fake alibi of him buying McDonalds. But Hiroshi, who is Taro's lawyer was able to expose his lie and fake evidence by proving that the photo was edited. It later turned out that Seto was a stalker and a serial panty thief. He was arrested for his crimes.
  • Parental Neglect: Sally left her daughter Rin home alone while she cheated on her husband Hiroshi.
  • Parking Payback:
    • Nobue kept parking her car at her neighbor Hiroshi's garage. She began to annoy Hiroshi and his wife by making noise even late into the night. So Hiroshi decided to get back at her when she went overseas by allowing the construction workers to destroy the garage on account of a typhoon that would have destroyed her car, so he allowed it to get flooded instead.
    • Muda kept on parking at Hiroshi's shop despite him not buying anything from there since it was nearby the nightclub he kept going to instead of studying. Hiroshi got back at Muda by not moving his car while construction on his property is ongoing. As a result, Muda didn't make it to class on time and was forced to drop out of college by his parents and find a job.
    • Mrs. Araichi decided to park her sports car at Hiroshi's yard, which killed the grass. Annoyed by this, Hiroshi decided to get artificial grass and put in screws and signs to stop her from parking at their yard. She doesn't heed the warning, and ended up getting a flat. After that, her husband found out about it. He forced her to apologize to Hiroshi and the car had to be towed away.
  • Phony Psychic: Yamakasi from "Wife thinks she is smart and can hide the evidence of her affair, but I found it!" is a shady fortune teller whom Kotomi consults to help her rid the house of evil spirits after watching a ghost-hunting TV show with Hiroshi. After suing Kotomi and her lover for damages, he has Yamakasi arrested for scamming her clients.
  • Pizza Boy Special Delivery:
  • Plastic Bitch: The gold digger Akane forced Hiroshi to pay for her plastic surgery after making a vague, ambiguous call from the hospital. After her sugar daddies all left her, she became addicted to plastic surgery to the point it ruined her face.
  • Playing Sick:
    • "A car tore down the walls to my new home and...": Senka faked sickness after sending her lover Furukawa out of the house when Hiroshi returned from work. However, it falls apart when Furukawa ends up crashing his car into the house.
    • "Wife pretends to be sick to cover up her affair but...": Kazumi faked sickness to avoid going with Hiroshi on the three-day trip he booked to have her affair with Shun in his house. When Hiroshi came back from his trip, Kazumi stuffed Shun into the bathroom and faked sickness again, but her escalating lies drove Hiroshi to call an ambulance and then find Shun in the bathroom after she was taken away.
    • "My ex-wife is suing me, so I'm going to make regret it" [sic]: Oriko was supposedly diagnosed with depression after overworking herself. However, it turns out she faked it to abuse, mooch off Hiroshi and cover up her cheating.
  • Please, I Will Do Anything!: Hiroshi begs a construction worker like this to give him a job as his high school dropout status caused him to be rejected by most companies.
  • Plot Allergy: Ren was allergic to dairy, so he gave his milk to his classmate Tomoki. This became a point of conflict with his teacher Mr. Takahashi, who bullied him in an attempt of forcing him to drink it, as the man believed allergies were fake.
  • Plot-Inciting Infidelity: Most of Hiroshi's episodes start with the Girl of the Week cheating on him.
  • Police Are Useless: Chiri is a useless detective that falsely accused Hiroshi of using drugs when in fact the culprits are punks that are using the drugs. It took a person in a higher position to let Hiroshi go. Chiri was transferred to a village after he falsely arrested a magician.
  • Poor Communication Kills: At a bar in France, a woman named Kairi asked Hiroshi his current job, only for him to answer he's selling drugs. Irritated, she stole his wallet and used up all his money thinking he was a drug dealer when he actually worked for a pharmaceutical company.
  • Pop-Up Texting: The characters will frequently communicate via texting. The English version uses a phone overlay while the original Japanese channel uses text pop-ups.
  • Punny Name:
    • In the Japanese version of "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it..." the kanji conforming Shino's name (紫陽) are the first two kanji that form the Japanese word for hydrangea (紫陽花, ajisai), which in the context of the story symbolizes family and cheating.
    • In the Japanese channel, the Girl of the Week's name might contain the kanji for gold (金) as a shorthand that she's a Gold Digger. For example, Kanemi (金美) from "My wife cheated on me with a guy with a super car so I showed up in front of them with a..." and Kanae (金恵) from "My wife was having an affair while her company was going bankrupt...." [sic].
    • "My wife was having an affair at home… but my pet parrot exposed them,": Mr. Sakaraumi's surname is actually a typo of Sakaurami (坂浦見) from the Japanese version. His name is a play on the Japanese word sakaurami (逆恨み), which means "irrational grudge," which fits with his resentment towards Hiroshi for being considered a promising employee instead of him.
    • "My wife was cheating on me...": Kyosuke Narikane's surname is a play on the Japanese word narikin (成金) which means Nouveau Riche, which fits with his status as a yuppie who squanders his wealth on pleasure and looks down on those poorer than him.
  • Quitting to Get Married: In stories where the Girl of the Week is a working woman before marrying Hiroshi, she may quit her job to live off his money and spend it on her boyfriend on the side.
  • Rage Breaking Point:
    • Earlier episodes had a "tension meter" in the upper-left part of the screen starting empty and with Hiroshi's angel smiling. As it starts filling halfway, it depicts the normal Hiroshi with a doubtful expression. However, when the bar is full, usually from catching his girlfriend/wife cheating on him, it depicts Hiroshi's devil, pissed off and emanating flames.
    • In "My girlfriend was cheating on my so I cursed her," after Aika betrayed him by declaring she's marrying someone else and rubbing it in his face, both his shoulder angel and devil agree that she should be punished before Hiroshi himself blows up at them before leaving and plotting his revenge.
  • Really Gets Around:
  • Relationship Sabotage:
    • "My coworker forced himself into my house to sleep over, and tried to sleep with my wife": Yohei breaks Hiroshi and Mikuru up back in high school by lying to her about him asking other girls out before her. Unfortunately, Mikuru falls for it and dates Yohei. Years later, he turns out to be an abusive husband toward Mikuru and treats her like a slave. He tries to do this again with Hiroshi's wife Eri.
    • "My colleague thought she slept with my boyfriend, but...": Amamizu overhears Rin and Manami talking about the character Yamato from Senkan Ranbu. Since she's not an avid anime fan as the two, she thought they were talking about a rich man and strived to take Rin's alleged man to quit her job and live a luxurious life instead of her. However, when Amamizu sleeps with the alleged Yamato and calls Rin to gloat about it, Rin reveals that her "boyfriend" was a life-size Yamato figurine while the man that Amamizu bedded was Rin's friend, Tanaka, who was a regular salesman. Amamizu changes heart after a dressing-down from Rin, she was annoyed by Tanaka's constant advances until she warmed out to him.
    • 'My "friend" stole my husband thinking he was rich': An influencer named Ai decides to sleep with Kanna's husband, Tetsuya, after he lied to her that he worked at the entertainment industry so he could leech off her money. However, Ai herself also wanted to become a stay-at-home wife and leech off of his (nonexistent) fortune. When Tetsuya divorced Kanna and remarried Ai before inviting the cheated woman to their wedding, the newlywed cheaters exposed their motivations to each other and the guests.
  • Removing the Crucial Teammate: In "A colleague stole my girlfriend, became the CEO, and then fired me…" After the CEO forced Hiroshi to resign and his Temae took over as the next CEO, the company was at risk of going under as all of their clients called them to cancel their contracts because Hiroshi was absent and Temae refused to do anything with the contracts once he took them. When he called Hiroshi for help, he revealed the CEO had him resign and become the CEO of a separate group, which flourished under his management. As a result of his incompetence, Temae is forced to work at Hiroshi's company as his subordinate.
  • Revenge Romance: Takeshi dumps Sayo after coercing 5 million yen out of her, then seduces Hiroshi's current fiancee Maiko and impregnates her to spite him. However, it backfires when Hiroshi shows up at the wedding to expose him.
  • Rich Bitch: Mean rich girls are among the types of antagonists to appear in episodes starring Rin as the main character.
    • "The dumbass rich girl said, 'No matter how hard they try, poor people are ugly!'": Kana, the most popular girl in school, brags about her riches since her dad is the CEO of Refreshing Corporation and looks down on Rin for being poor. Moreover, she even trash-talked Yume since her dad worked for Kana's. However, Kana's bragging comes to an end when she ends up blowing Rin's cover by pushing her into a pool; the latter chews Kana out and reveals her dad is CEO of the Aizawa Financial Group and therefore, Kana's dad's boss.
    • "A rich girl ruins my kimono at the coming of age ceremony but...": Marie is a rich girl who buys the latest kimono designs. She treated Rin horribly and even cut her dress during a coming-of-age ceremony because she thought it was cheap. The kimono's worth turned out to be 30 million yen and Rin's father cut off all ties with Marie's father's company.
    • "This girl picked on me at school…": Misaki is a rich girl whose dad owns Shrimp Island. She treats everyone like slaves and threatens to have her dad fire theirs and the teachers won't do anything for fear of the same. When Kyosuke's company bought Misaki's father's company he kicked the bastard out of his own company, forcing him to work as a street performer while Misaki was forced to work at a factory.
    • "Moron mom friend who mocks me saying that I'm poor breaks my watch, so I told her how much it costs": Miki is a rich mother who bullied Lynn for being poor and even forced the latter to lend her son Sho's clothes because the former didn't want her son Shige to ruin his own. This escalated when she took Lynn's watch behind her back while borrowing clothes.
    • "They made fun of my house, so I decided to show them my real house!": Ayame and Kurumi followed Rin to her house to find out who she was since she used a scholarship to study at the same university as them. When they saw her in a humble worn-down house, they mock her for being poor.
    • "My adoptive parents doted on my brother and kicked me out of the house": Ms. Satoda was a stuck-up housewife who mocked Rin Kohinata because her husband's restaurant was notorious for having bad food. She even had her son, Shunta, bully Rin's son, Daisuke, for the same reason. However, Ms. Satoda reveals that she married her husband for his money while badmouthing him to Rin.
    • "This woman sent the wrong message to the PTA chat and exposed her own affair": Chika mocks Rin for being a Struggling Single Mother, blaming her for divorcing Shuhei since he claimed to own a casino while gloating about being married to a bank manager. However, Chika's luck runs out when she accidentally reveals her affair with Shuhei over the PTA's LINE chat. Goro, the group administrator, divorces and sues her for alimony. Not only did Chika screw herself out of an accommodated life for her greed, but condemned herself to spend the rest of her days with Shuhei fleeing from debt collectors upon realizing he was a good-for-nothing gambling addict.
    • "My "friends" thought I was paying for their food and drinks but...": Mrs. Zamasu is a rich housewife who looks down on Kanna and her friend Maya for being poor and brags about her husband's fortune. However, Kanna ends up putting Mrs. Zamasu in her place by misunderstanding her bragging and saying she goes to places far more expensive than the ones attended by the latter. Later on, she eavesdrops on Kanna and Maya, who talk about going to Borsalino, which she thinks is the famous French restaurant and decides to invite herself and some fellow moms to gorge themselves on good food and have Kanna pay their tab. However, she didn't know that Kanna was talking about the movie Borsalino, and by "going to Borsalino" she meant visiting France, the setting of the movie.
  • Right Behind Me: In "My wife was cheating on me with the delivery guy," after Nanako dumped deliveryman Ken Ooshima when he called her to take the heat for him after their affair was reported to his boss, this exchange occurs:
    Nanako: [sigh]... That was so scary... What am I gonna do though? (Hiroshi lurks behind her) If I say anything to Hiroshi, he'll find out...
    Hiroshi: Find out what?
  • Romantic Rain: "Wife cheated on me while I was on a business trip" shows a cheating variant. Erina, Hiroshi's wife, waited under the rain until her lover, Kazu, shared his umbrella with her, but she turned it down because she had her own.
  • Rule of Pool: In this story, Kana lies to Rin about Yume drowning and pushes her into a pool, causing her disguise to fall apart. Rin has had enough and chews her out for her bullying, revealing she is a girl gang leader.
  • The Runaway: Mana ran away from home because her father, Shingo Megasawa, the head of a black company, was callous enough to dismiss the death of her dog Laura while suggesting he'll buy her another dog. Hiroshi finds her sleeping in the streets and takes her to Bunta's street restaurant, returning to chew the bastard out the next day while bringing up Hiroshi's kindness, which drives Mr. Megasawa to schedule a meeting with Hiroshi.
  • Running Gag: In My wife's company was on fire, but she didn't notice because..., Hiroshi keeps crossing paths with an old lady in his way to work and to the love hotel where his wife Satomi cheated on him. Turns out the seemingly forgetful old lady was a set of quintuplets.

  • Sadist Teacher:
    • Mr. Nagano is a tough, short-tempered PE teacher who was rough with the students in the stories starring him.
      • The secret agent of the school vs the maniac!: Mr. Nagano hit Ruri's brother Makoto and sent him to the hospital, causing her to swear revenge on him and she eventually exposed him to everyone; he lost his job and was thrown in jail.
      • My teacher wouldn't believe that my hair color was natural, so I had no choice but to prove it: At Pirorin High School, he used the dress code as an excuse to bully female students if he found them violating it. He especially had a bone to pick with Rin because of her natural pink hair, which he deemed fake no matter how much she tried to prove him wrong. When she was about to show him a part she didn't dye, the principal showed up and made Mr. Nagano apologize, then fired him and took away his teaching position.
    • Mr. Asanuma is a teacher who metes out cruel punishments to his students. He forced Hiroshi to stay at the school to prevent him from going to college and even shaved Kentaro's head bald. He even foiled a group of delinquents' attempts to fight him.
  • Saying Too Much: In "My wife was cheating on me... AGAIN," when Hiroshi successfully got the information out of Ranko's boyfriend, he asked her to be honest about her cheating. This exchange occurs:
    Ranko: Ah... I'm so sorry! I've been seeing him for 2 months now... Almost every day...
    Hiroshi: Stop lying! He said you two have been together for a year! I told you not to lie!
    Ranko: What? That's not true. I mean, the first time we slept together was 6 months ago so... Oh wait...
  • Scatterbrained Senior: Hiroshi's dad became senile after his wife Sachiko's death and mistakes his daughter-in-law Ami for her.
  • Schoolyard Bully All Grown Up: Takeshi stole Hiroshi's previous girlfriend Sayo and liked to rub it in his face. He then decides to steal Hiroshi's current fiancee Maiko by impregnating her.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!:
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Girl of the Week's affair partner will often run off after Hiroshi catches them both red-handed, leaving her to confront the latter's wrath to save his own skin.
  • The Scrooge: Ms. Kawara was obsessed with saving her company's money and gave employees a hard time because of it. She even limited the use of air conditioners to save power costs and even switched off the air conditioner in the server room even though the machines would break down if they overheat. The machines didn't break down completely, but it cost the company $12 million.
  • Secretly Wealthy: Ms. Machida looked down on Rin for supposedly being poor, but when she found out that she is actually more wealthy than her, she tried to make Rin pay for the meals she and the other moms ate at an expensive restaurant. Unfortunately for them, Rin was running late due to an emergency with her kid, and the chef was threatening to call the police. Rin did arrive in time, but Machida and the other mothers were scolded for their stunt.
  • Secret Other Family: Rin caught her husband Kairi walking a little girl to school. Turns out he's dating Makiko who has a child. Kairi let everyone believe that Rin was a stalker. When his wife Makiko found out the truth, she and Rin got revenge on him.
  • Self-Harm: In "I married a girl I saved, which turned out to be the worst choice I ever made in my life," after Hiroshi left the house in response to Setsu's constant abuse, she calls him to apologize. When Hiroshi refused, she proceeded to cut her wrist and show it to him as a sign of apology.
  • Serial Homewrecker: Near the end of "I don't care if he's married.     • Hina was favored more than her brother Hiroshi, because she has better grades than him. Unlike most examples, she likes Hiroshi. Years later, Hina's parents forced her to pretend that Hiroshi was dead, excluding him from being invited to her wedding, and forced Hina to go along with it. Hiroshi showed up anyway since her fiancée invited him and when the truth is revealed, both siblings cut ties with their parents.
    • Tsuyoshi was favored by his dad, Saizo, over his brother Hiroshi, whom the old coot abused with his Spartan teachings. When the man died, Tsuyoshi and his wife, Miku, came over to announce that the old man left him the mansion while bringing up the will. While Hiroshi suspected that the will was forged, he left them alone until he brought up that Saizo's company struggled with him at the helm, prompting Tsuyoshi to issue death threats to Hiroshi to have the inheritance all to himself. However, when Hiroshi watched his late father's YouTube channel and found out he regretted all his choices in life and showed it to Tsuyoshi, both brothers reconciled.
  • The Unintelligible: Big Mami is reduced to this when she eats an explosive meatball skewer made by Hiroshi in retaliation for her and Ukai stealing his recipes.

    • Miki stole Rin's watch and damaged it when she put it in a dryer. When Miki told her husband, he freaked out and revealed that the watch is more expensive than their own worth and they went to Rin to apologize.
    • Hiroshi lent parking space to a former member of the yakuza. Tsuyoshi stole the car parked there thinking it was Hiroshi's car and ended up crashing it when he tried to avoid a dog. When he called Hiroshi and tried to get him to pay for damages, he revealed that it was not his car, and when the yakuza member found out, he revealed that it was his former boss's car.
    • Honda and Makino set fireworks in Hiroshi's house and called him to gloat about it. However, Hiroshi tells them he moved out and the house became a notorious gang boss' office. The two bullies end up in big trouble when said gang boss shows up.
    • Mrs. Kohasu stole Igaraishi's car thinking it was Rin's since it was parked at her place and totaled it when she crashed into a pole. Igaraishi called the secret police and they soon caught her. Her husband divorced her and took her daughter.
    • Rin's mother-in-law ruins Rin's wedding dress in a last effort to keep her from marrying Makoto. However, Rin reveals she borrowed the dress from a famous celebrity named Lemon Tezumi, which was worth $100,000. When Lemon herself showed up and found out it was the MIL who did it, both women force her to pay damages.
    • Hina took away all furniture from the Crouton Hotel to get back at Rin for overshadowing her with her status as its heiress. When she told her father about it, he revealed his company never made deals with Crouton, but with a cheap hotel business named Yourton, effectively meaning she stole the furniture. As a result, both father and daughter come to the Crouton to apologize for the damages, but the staff forces them to pay one hundred million yen and eventually, he sells his company to Rin's father to avoid bankruptcy.
  • Villain Team-Up: Yohei and Mr. Kusuda conspire together to take Hiroshi out of the competition, specifically by destroying his database of important data. When they break into Hiroshi's house to celebrate and goad his wife Eri into drinking, Yohei decides to have his way with her while he's away and Kusuda passed out drunk.

While Ami remained defiant while revealing she forged the divorce papers, Kazuyuki cowered and called off the wedding, revealing he had no money to pay Hiroshi the damages. After Hiroshi took back the forged papers, Ami's parents disowned her.
  • We Will Not Use Photoshop in the Future: Keiko used her experience in photo editing to hide her affair by posting photos of herself and her fellow mom friends in Atami. However, Hiroshi starts to suspect and turns to his friend Bunta, who is also versed in photo manipulation, for help. After Bunta confirms that one of the photos was doctored, he confronts Keiko on her affair.

    • "Gold Digger Elopes With The Boss… When She Learns The Truth…": After Kayoko dumps Hiroshi for the Chairman of the company he works at, the bastard frames Hiroshi for his embezzling money from the company and orders his son the President to fire him. However, Hiroshi had the safe with the embezzled assets switched with a dummy filled with memo papers and then exposes his crime to the shareholders, which leaves the former Chairman destitute and with no reason to live.
    • "My wife was cheating on my while secretly lying about being on maternity leave": After finding out Yumi was married, her lover Manato exposed the fact that she forged numbers and documents to cover up her mistakes, even forcing her subordinates to do the same. The ensuing complaints caused Yumi's dad to fire and disown her.
    • "I confronted the woman in the accounting department who was causing trouble": Veteran employee Takayo Tachibana accuses Hiroshi of embezzling money when he went to eat at an Italian restaurant with a client and upgraded the course meal at the client's request. To make matters worse, she accused the other employees of embezzlement for taking expensive alternatives to get them fired.
    • "My wife cheated on me with the company president and got me fired": After Mitsuko divorced Hiroshi and remarried the CEO, she calls him about a bunch of people who came to his office, who turn out to be from the IRS. One of them, Masaru, was Hiroshi's friend and sought out the CEO for tax evasion, which was the reason Mitsuko offered to make Hiroshi the new CEO earlier on.
    • "Boss stole my wife away from me": After Mr. Maezawa stole Hiroshi's wife, Ayame, and gloated about inviting him to their wedding, his celebration is cut short when Hiroshi reveals that Ayame's company was in trouble because she has been forging documents and thought merging it with Maezawa's would save it. Moreover, a whistleblower exposed Ayame's company, causing a huge scandal that led to Ayame's firm going bankrupt while Mr. Maezawa lost everything.
    • "My boss thought he knew about wine like a sommelier, so I exposed him in front of everyone": After Bunta revealed that Hanka frequented the winery to buy the most expensive wines under Skatt Corporation's name and asked Hiroshi if they had parties that often, Hiroshi investigated Hanka's purchase history. At the CEO's birthday party, Hiroshi exposed Hanka's embezzlement in revenge for the latter's abuse. As a result, Hanka receives a huge dressing-down from the CEO before getting fired and forced to pay all the money he stole.
    • "My wife asked for a divorce in the middle of a restaurant, on our wedding anniversary…": Hatayama conspired with Hiroshi's wife, Minami, to embezzle money from the company and steal Hiroshi's money. However, when Hiroshi calls the cops on Hatayama for his crime and sues Minami for damages before her arrest for being an accomplice to Hatayama's scheme, it's revealed Hatayama's father, the Managing Director, was also in on it after the former pointed the latter as an accomplice.
    • "My boss thought my wedding was held abroad and invited herself but...": After squandering a lot of money on her trip to Cancún for Rin's wedding only to learn it would be held in Atami, Setsuko embezzled money from the company under the pretense of having a business trip to Mexico. However, her boss doesn't fall for it and gives her a huge dressing-down for blackmailing subordinates just to get free trips and food at their expense before firing her.
  • Womanchild: Saiko is a childish young woman who, after marrying Hiroshi, sucked at housekeeping. She even cheated on Hiroshi with a guy named Manta out of sentiment since both were bullied.
  • Woman Scorned:
    • At the end of "My wife went on a trip with her boyfriend, so I surprised her by replicating the entire trip," Yuuki breaks up with Mana after being threatened by her parents and getting caught by Hiroshi. She doesn't take it well and proceeded to go berserk on him and break everything in the apartment, which got the cops called on her.
    • "This woman thinks we are going out and goes crazy after I announced my marriage": Tomomi Hirai was in love with Hiroshi and acted like she was close friends with him. However, she went berserk when he announced his marriage to his fiancée Mizuho not only because of being scorned, but because she bought an apartment, told her parents she was marrying him, and even planned out honeymoon. Tomomi's behavior shortly escalated into destroying everything in her path, with Hiroshi comparing her to a Hannyanote .
  • Workaholic: Mariko from "Came home to my cheating wife after a business trip…" worked harder than the average employee until she suffered burnout from it all. When she quit her job after marrying Hiroshi, she slept all day and acted dismissive towards him despite a long time since her burnout. Eventually, Hiroshi catches her cheating after returning from his business trip.
  • Work Off the Debt: In "I thought my wife was addicted to social media, but she was sending secret messages to her lover," after Hiroshi caught Ami having an affair with a guy named Ryuji, he forced them to work at the sweets factory with Mr. Hoshino. However, Ami couldn't handle it and quit her job, tweeting it to her followers. Much to her dismay, they issued a social punishment by tweeting sightings of Ami wherever she went.
