Refreshing Stories (originally titled スカッとLINE, Sukatto LINE, lit. "Refreshing LINEs" in Japanese) is a YouTube Vyond channel. It is an anthology series that stars mostly Hiroshi Ohira and Rin Aizawa.

Depending on the character taking the role of the protagonist, the stories follow specific plotlines: Hiroshi's stories mostly center on him either being cheated on by the Girl of the Week or dealing with an abusive boss while Rin's stories mostly center on her dealing with rich girls or women who bully her, be it at high school or a neighborhood, with the latter featuring her delinquent background as an additional struggle.

• Accidental Kidnapping: Misuo kidnapped Hiroshi's daughter Haru and demanded $5,000,000 as ransom. When he came to deliver the money to Misuo, he realized that the girl Misuo kidnapped wasn't Haru but Namiko, the daughter of mafia boss Ashura. When Ashura saw Namiko with Misuo, he was so enraged, he had his men take away Misuo.
• Accidental Misnaming: Massy always ends up addressing Kayoko as "Kanako", for which she always corrects him.
• Affair Hair:
  • "I hid under the bed to see whether my wife was cheating and..." Hiroshi found a blond hair in Mika's pillow and interrogated her about it. She tries to convince him it was hers because her mother came from the States, but he doesn't buy any of it and finds out it belonged to her lover.
  • "I pretended to go on a business trip to expose my cheating wife": Hiroshi comes back from a business trip and finds the electric shaver filled with unknown, long hair and stares at his wife Mio, he concludes she's having an affair and fakes a business trip to catch her red-handed.
• Alpha Bitch:
  • "The dumbass rich girl said, 'No matter how hard they try, poor people are ugly!'": Kana is the most popular girl in school and looks down on Rin for being poor. She treated Rin's friend Yume like a slave and she once humiliated her when she brought back tapioca that she didn't like. When Kana pushed Rin into the pool after tricking her that Yume is drowning, she reveals that her father is the CEO of the company where Kana's father worked and that he is only the hired director. After that, she lost her popularity since she was no longer the richest girl in school.
  • "This girl picked on me at school…": Misaki ruled Shrimp Island's local school with an iron fist to the point of treating the rest of the students (especially Kyosuke) like slaves. Moreover, not even the teachers could do anything because her father owned the island, and therefore, all companies established there were his. When Rin had enough and stood up to her abuse, it ended with her father losing his job. However, Misaki's reign of terror ended when her father's company was bought out by Sukatto Corporation, it turns out Kyosuke was the latter company's CEO despite being in high school.
• Always a Bigger Fish:
  • Mr. Takahashi and his dad the Principal lose it when Hiroshi shows up in his son Ren's defense after finding out he was bullied by the former.
  • Kenji shows up at Hiroshi's house to gloat about how he stole Eri from the latter while bragging about being an elite in comparison to Hiroshi. However, it turns out the company Kenji's dad worked for, Triangle Securities, was a client of Hiroshi's company, Central Securities. Moreover, Hiroshi files a police report against Kenji as he finds out Eri wasn't cheating on him, Kenji was just stalking her.
• Ambitious, but Lazy: Fusei is a high school student who slacks off all the time but still manages to get good grades, which he claims to be a result of him being a natural genius, but he's actually had his dad, a CEO blackmail one of his workers (who looks just like Fusei) into doing his schoolwork and tests in Fusei's place. Fusei tries to use this trick in order to get into a good university, however on the day of the entrance exams, Hiroshi tricks him into going into the classroom while the lookalike is also there, exposing Fusei as a cheater. After he is exposed, Fusei literally states that, as the son of a powerful CEO, universities should beg to have someone like him attend and that he shouldn't have to work to get in.
• Amusement Park: Natsumi cheated on Hiroshi with a guy and went with him to an amusement park. As usual, Hiroshi follows them around.
• Animesque: The channel makes liberal use of some anime tropes and visual elements, such as Dull Eyes of Unhappiness, Cross-Popping Veins, and Ocular Gushers, all helped by Vyond's Business Friendly style resembling anime at a glance.
• Anything but That!: Michiko says this verbatim after Hiroshi states he's going to divorce her in response to catching her in the middle of her affair with Danmoto.
• Apologizes a Lot: Kazu from "Wife cheated on me while I was on a business trip" is a spineless married man who always apologizes whenever he's called out even when he didn't mess up, which annoys his wife, Rikako.
• Arab Oil Sheikh: In "My wife kicked me out of my own house while having an affair, but I had backup", Hiroshi is briefly depicted as one while asking his cheating wife Maki if she thinks he's an oil baron to spend so much money.
• As Long as It Sounds Foreign: In the Japanese version of "Mom friend thinks I invited her to a cruise ship and spent a ton of money but...", the cruise ship's name Una Casita de Mar is localized into the vaguely French-sounding Une Cassitre de Mare.
• Attempted Homewrecker: Hiroshi's manager hits on Hiroshi's wife, Mako, despite being married himself. When Mako refuses his advances, the manager decides to make Hiroshi work longer hours in order to find out where he and his wife live by following Mako. Once he finds out, he keeps harassing Mako, but she refuses to let him in, and whenever he sees Mako, he touches her inappropriately, which naturally frightens her. One day, the manager steals Hiroshi's house key and decides to break in so that he can rape Mako. Unfortunately for the boss, not only do Mako and Hiroshi move, but their old house is now being occupied by a group of female police officers. Naturally, he gets beaten and sent to jail.
• Auto Erotica:
  • "Wife makes out with secret lover inside our family car": Saori cheated on Hiroshi with a guy named Hayato inside the family car she forced Hiroshi to buy. However, he snuck into the car in a mascot costume to catch them red-handed
  • "My wife was having an affair with my boss in my brand new car, so I let them drive off": Nako cheated on Hiroshi with Mr. Hitotuma inside the DY-9 car. When Hiroshi caught the lovebirds, they drove off into nowhere while ignoring he would use it for a promotion campaign. In retaliation, Hiroshi started a new campaign in which whoever took a photo of the lovebirds in the car and posted it to Twitter would win the car. As a result, the CEO of Sugita Motors fired the cheating couple for their trouble.
• Baby Talk:
  • The Japanese version of "Getting revenge on my wife after finding out that she was cheating on me in a public restroom" has Hiroshi speak like this while impersonating his cheating wife Shoko to lure her lover, Ken Sawabe.
  • "I set up a baby cam to check up on my new born baby, but the camera showed me something unbelievable" [sic]: Mao's lover, Son, speaks like this while dressed up as a baby to prank Mao, unaware that it was at the time Hiroshi revealed his baby daughter, Chiko, to both his parents and in-laws.
  • The Japanese version of "My wife tried to hide the affair but..." has Tomohiro talk this way upon hearing Ayumi (Akemi) crying over the phone after Hiroshi had her call him, unaware he was collecting confirmation of their affair until he spoke.
  • The Japanese version of "While I was playing hide and seek..." has Hiroshi's elementary-aged daughter, Mana (Aina) talk like this.
• The Baby Trap: In stories where Hiroshi's girlfriend/wife/fiancée becomes pregnant from an affair, she may try anything to trick Hiroshi into thinking it's his, but he eventually learns the truth before applying the corresponding punishment.
  • "A Sudden Pregnancy Report when I'm Actually… Infertile": After Hiroshi saves her from an alleged throng of punks who wanted to "get" her, Mitsuko tells him that she became pregnant with twins at an online meeting and demanded more money than necessary for childcare. Moreover, she also had her dad next to her to corroborate it. However, Hiroshi suspected their claims as he was diagnosed with stress-caused infertility. At their next video meeting, Hiroshi questions their relationship and reveals he's infertile. Moreover, he also summoned the aforementioned punks, whom Mitsuko came at with the same lie.
  • "My wife was cheating on me but I decided to let her to see what she would do": Ruriko cheats on Hiroshi with a playboy named Masaji Manabe. When she finds out she became pregnant with her lover's child, Manabe suggests she pretend it's Hiroshi's. However, her increasingly desperate attempts to make Hiroshi sleep with her fail because he already caught them on their first date. Eventually, Hiroshi calls his in-laws to collect both Ruriko and Manabe and have them both work several jobs to pay Hiroshi the damages.
  • "On my way back from a business trip, I ran into my wife in front of the ob-gyn…": After Yaruko becomes pregnant with Akio's child, she plotted to trick Hiroshi into thinking it's his child. Months later at her appointment with the OB/GYN, Hiroshi returns early from his business trip and catches her on her way there. When Akio stumbles upon them, Hiroshi learns about the affair and confronts them.
• Bad Boss:
  • "My boss cancelled a restaurant reservation for the company president thinking it was for me": Busujima harassed her subordinates and forced them to work overtime, particularly Rin. One day, she canceled Rin's reservation at a restaurant using her computer. It turned out that the dinner was for a negotiation with another company.
  • "Manager thought I stole the company's money but...": Bonkura mistreated Hiroshi at work. When the company money was missing (due to Bonkura not realizing the different drop-off time from the bank despite Hiroshi trying to tell him), he decided to frame Hiroshi for the theft and tried to get the CEO Minako to fire him. She refused and instead demoted him to a regular employee and cut his salary.
  • "My manager took the credit for all of my work, and I was the one that ended up being fired…": Matsunaga used his power to harass, criticize and bring down his employees, especially Hiroshi. His targeted mistreatment towards the latter increased when Yurie Tanaka, the worker he had a crush on, was in love with Hiroshi and not him. This led to Matsunaga taking credit for whatever work Hiroshi did and getting him fired for a typo on copies of the manga Hametsu no Yaiba.
  • "Wife was having an affair with my boss I caught them banging in the meeting room so...": Futamata always went out of his way to harass Hiroshi for being a "loser," but he changed his attitude towards the latter's wife Kako. Moreover, the bastard had him demoted for "messing up" the chemicals so he could take over his project. Moreover, Hiroshi found out Kako cheated on him with Futamata by seeing the side dish on his bento box, while she only put rice in Hiroshi's lunchbox.
  • "The day I was promoted, everyone was fired and our office had been cleared out… I found out that…": Geba was a hopeless company president who went out of his way to maximize his company's sales as he grew up during the Economic Bubble, refusing to pay attention to the current times. Moreover, he is also a lecher who sexually harassed female employees, especially Mitsuhashi.
  • "My boss made a reservation of 100 people at my dad's restaurant and cancelled last minute...": Kataoka was known in the company for resorting to dirty tricks to increase profit, such as creating fake positive reviews and going as far as telling his female employees, in this case, Ms. Chie, to sleep with his clients to secure himself a profit.
  • "Wife has an affair with her boss, but she doesn't know my grandad owns that company": Gunji was the head of Agenty's sales department and was renowned for creating a system where the most hard-working employee gets a mini-bonus. However, he abused his position and the system to exploit the workers and avoid doing any work himself. Moreover, this and the fact he charmed Hiroshi's wife, Fuuka, into sleeping with him, were the reason Agenty was losing workers.
  • "My boss thought my wedding was held abroad and invited herself but...": Setsuko was an abusive boss who dumped her workload on her subordinates while she fixed her nails and did no work herself. Moreover, she had the habit of demanding female subordinates invite her to their weddings with the intent of gorging herself on good food with the bride's money, under threat of spreading rumors about them.
  • "My wife was cheating on me with my boss so I got him demoted": Hiroshi's boss, Mr. Shimamura, is an abusive bastard who only cares about getting promoted, dumping unwanted workload on employees he deems useless while taking on highly important jobs. However, no one could do anything because he was considered the "ace of the sales department." To add insult to injury, Hiroshi's wife, Rikako, cheats on him with Shimamura and plots to remarry the latter without being sued by Hiroshi.
  • "I found a sock in my bed. The next day, my boss was wearing the same one but missing a sock...": Kazuma is a department head who bosses everyone around and the reason he got promoted was because other, more capable candidates quit the company one by one. Moreover, the bastard had a good reputation for increasing profits in the development area by taking on reckless jobs with cheap labor and dumping it on his subordinates while taking credit for their hard work.
  • "Head of nurse was super rude to the patients, but she got what she deserves": The head nurse, Morocco Terada, was such an abusive matron to the point many doctors and nurses working there quit their jobs in succession, much to Rin's surprise. Moreover, she often acted nice around the Director and took credit for whatever work the nurses did.
• Bait the Dog: In "The prettiest girl rejected me because I was too poor, but little did she know I was..." Kanako colluded with Yuuji's entourage to fool Hiroshi into thinking she had a crush on him. When he asked her out after a few days, she revealed it was a prank and Yuuji even recorded him and sent the footage to their group LINE chat to make fun of him. Years later when Hiroshi becomes a successful businessman and crosses paths with Kanako, he takes her to a fancy restaurant and returns the favor by leaving her to pay by herself.
• Baldness Mockery:
  • "I thought my wife was addicted to social media, but she was sending secret messages to her lover": One of Ami's tweets to her lover spelled out "BALD HUSBAND" referring to Hiroshi. Hiroshi takes offense at this while he's briefly depicted as bald.
    Hiroshi: Who do you calling bald? [sic]
  • "My wife was having an affair with my boss, so I called his father to the scene to get revenge!": While having her affair with Mr. Nagai, Alice calls her own father a "bald-headed bastard" because he engaged her to Hiroshi. However, Hiroshi retaliates by locking the lovebirds in the room and calling the CEO on them. When the man came over, Hiroshi exposed the insult to him.
  • "My wife recorded herself cheating by mistake because she didn't leave the online meeting…": As Nao forgot to leave the online meeting with her boss and Hiroshi, both men watched and heard her actions afterward, especially her insulting the boss' toupee by insinuating he slapped a piece of seaweed on his head. The boss is understandably not amused, and so is Hiroshi when she calls Mr. Nakagawa over to have an affair with him.
• Beautiful All Along: Fujimi may seem like a dull girl who wears glasses but it's all a disguise to hide her identity as an Interpol agent.
• Bedroom Adultery Scene: Hiroshi's episodes are mostly centered on him getting cheated on by the Girl of the Week, so this kind of scene are expected.
• Best Friends-in-Law: Hiroshi's in-laws from "While I was playing hide and seek..." were much kinder towards him than his wife, Sayaka, especially since she sent both Hiroshi and their daughter Aina to the in-laws' house.
• Big Ball of Violence: In the end of "When I came home early from my business trip, I found my wife cheating on me in the back yard shed," Minako and Asatani, impoverished and worn-out by the stress of paying damages to Hiroshi, bicker over the former getting fired from every job shortly after being hired and devolve into a fight inside a cloud of dust.
• Big Eater: Rin loves to eat sweets and often buys her ingredients in bulk. She even managed to eat the leftover cake that Seko forced on her.
• Big "NO!":
  • "Manager thought I stole the company's money but...": Bonkura lets one out after Minako demoted him for accusing her son Hiroshi of stealing the company money.
  • "My wife was cheating on me with the delivery guy": Ken Ooshima lets out one after his boss fires him from his deliveryman job for having an affair with Hiroshi's wife, Nanako.
  • "I encountered my wife having an affair while I was on my business trip": Charahiro lets out one when Hiroshi awards him the prize money for beating him at the hotel's table tennis match and proclaims he's going to take it away once he sues the guy for damages.
  • "My wife went on a trip with her boyfriend, so I surprised her by replicating the entire trip": Mana lets out one in prison when Hiroshi told her she didn't look like a human while going berserk in the hotel, in response to her asking if he's going to leave her like that. In the original Japanese version, she just cries.
  • "A colleague stole my girlfriend, became the CEO, and then fired me…" Temae lets out one after his father, the CEO, tells him to work at Hiroshi's subsidiary as a low-level employee in response to his incompetence causing their clients to cancel their contracts with his company.
  • "This girl picked on me at school…": Misaki lets out one after learning that not only her father's company was bought out by Sukatto Corporation, but that Kyosuke, the nerdy boy she used as a gofer, was actually the latter company's CEO before fainting.
• Birthday Party Goes Wrong: In "I hid in the bedroom closet to surprise my wife for her birthday but..." Ayano's affair with Hikaru ends up ruining her birthday when Hiroshi catches them right when he is about to throw a surprise birthday party for Ayano. As a result, Hiroshi chews her out afterward before divorcing and suing her for damages the next day.
• Bitch in Sheep's Clothing:
  • "Sister's boyfriend accuses her of having a plastic surgery. Just then, our parents came in...": Momoka's boyfriend and manager, Kenichi, seemed unassuming at first. However, he turns out to be an abusive Jerkass when he accused her of having plastic surgery and tried to spread rumors about it to make her famous.
  • "Married my boss's beautiful daughter… and found something shocking in the secret basement": Toshio Hiyama seems to be a decent yet eccentric rich man who was willing to let his daughter Chinatsu marry a plain guy like Hiroshi. However, he and Chinatsu are actually murderers who target their victims to claim their money or land.
  • "My boss forgot to turn off the camera after the Zoom meeting and...": Mr. Hozuki seemed to be an exemplary employee and an understanding mentor towards Hiroshi, but it turns out to be an act when he forgets to turn off the camera for the online meeting; he thought of having an affair with his coworkers' wives was exciting while having an affair with Hiroshi's wife, Chako.
  • "The prettiest girl rejected me because I was too poor, but little did she know I was...": Back in high school, Kanako seemed to be the only one who loved Hiroshi. However, she reveals her true colors when he proposes to her as she turns him down for being poor; it turns out she colluded with Yuuji and his entourage to set Hiroshi up for rejection to get a laugh out of him.
  • "Boss pretends to care for his family while secretly attending matchmaking parties": The Section Chief seemed to be a trustworthy, stellar employee and a dedicated family man, which earned him the title of "the most likable man in the office." However, it's all an act to cover up his womanizing tendencies as he has Hiroshi arrange a matchmaking party for him and threatens to fail the poor guy in the next personnel evaluation if he doesn't do as he's told.
• Black Widow: Chinatsu Hiyama from "Married my boss's beautiful daughter… and found something shocking in the secret basement" only married Hiroshi to murder him and claim his insurance money afterward. Moreover, she also did this to her previous husband and sees all men as potential wallets to murder out of their money.
• Blue with Shock:
  • "My wife went on a trip with her boyfriend, so I surprised her by replicating the entire trip," Hiroshi replicates Mana's trip with her lover, Yuuki, to Okinawa to teach her a lesson. She turns blue when she puts two and two together as she suspected Hiroshi may have found out she was cheating.
  • "Mom friend thinks I invited her to a cruise ship and spent a ton of money but...": Manpuku turns blue after finding out the restaurant Rin booked was actually a traditional dining boat rather than the cruise ship she hopped aboard to eat with Mokose with the intent to force the tab on Rin.
  • 'My "friend" stole my husband thinking he was rich': Ai turns blue when Kanna revealed that the rich celebrity Tetsuya shook hands with was a friend of her mom's, on top of Tetsuya being broke.
• Brawn Hilda: In this story, Ukai has a wife called "Big Mami" who is not only brawny but strong enough to carry a grown man over her head.
• Brick Joke:
  • "My wife found out I was ill, so she went on a trip with her boyfriend": While chatting with her lover Kazuto about the ways they hoped Hiroshi would die, Reiko mentioned him falling down a flight of stairs and hitting his head hard. However, at the end of her affair trip, Kazuto ends up being the one falling down the stairs in an attempt to run away from Hiroshi and Nana.
  • "Wife accidentally sent the message she was going to send her lover to me": When Nana chewed him out for leaving their window open despite living on the 11th floor, Hiroshi jokingly asks her if she's worried about Spider-Man. Later on, when her lover Ryu hid by hanging out the window and crying for help, Hiroshi joked that it was Spider-Man before asking Nana about him.
• Broken Pedestal: In "My boss forgot to turn off the camera after the Zoom meeting and..." Hiroshi looked up to Mr. Hozuki as the latter seemed to be understanding towards the former. However, Hozaki revealed his true colors at the Zoom meeting when he forgot to turn the camera off and ended up exposing his own affair with Chako, Hiroshi's wife.
• Bully Magnet: Yuto was targeted by a bully named Jidai and his buddies for being poor and coming from a single-mother household.
• Business Trip Adultery:
  • "My wife was having an affair at a company trip. On the last day, I confronted her...": Ririka lied to Hiroshi about going on a business trip to cover up her affair with a guy at a Japanese-style inn in Kyoto.
  • "My wife used my credit card when she was cheating on me…": Kanako covered up her affair with subordinate Jin by lying about going on a business trip. However, Hiroshi downloaded an app to track the uses of his credit card which she borrowed. When he found out the truth, he blocked the card before they could pay the hotel.
  • "My wife cheated on me with a guy with a super car so I showed up in front of them with a..." [sic]: Kanemi lied to Hiroshi about going on a business trip to cover her affair with her lover Ikiro. When Hiroshi found out with Bunta that she was riding in his supercar, he followed the lovebirds in his beat-down vintage car.
  • "My wife lied to me that she was going on a business trip so...": Meg covers up her affair trip with a guy named Araishi in the Maldives by claiming she's going on a business trip to Sweden. However, her lie fell apart when Hiroshi found an envelope for the Swedish branch in Meg's coat and delivers it to her company. Right after that, the news announced that a plane on its way to Munich crashed and Hiroshi brought up that Meg was on it only for her boss to reveal they didn't schedule a flight for her.
• Captain Ersatz: Jinan Ezogawa is basically Conan Edogawa under a different name and a low voice.
• Cardboard Box Home: At the end of "Showing up at my in-law's place to prove that my wife is cheating on me," Rena is last seen in a box pleading for help after her lover Makoto dumped her following Hiroshi divorcing her and suing them both. In the Japanese version, she pleads for someone to pick her up.
• The Casanova:
  • "I got a private eye to see if my wife was cheating, but the report showed that she was innocent...": Detective Misawa not only turns out to be Shoko's lover when Hiroshi sent Bunta to investigate her, but he was dating four other women behind her back. When Hiroshi sued the lovebirds for their trouble, the four women's husbands who hired Misawa followed suit upon learning of his womanizing ways.
  • "Boss pretends to care for his family while secretly attending matchmaking parties": The Section Chief hides his womanizing demeanor beneath a veneer of kindness and forces Hiroshi to secretly arrange a matchmaking party for him under threat of failing the poor sod in the next personnel evaluation.
• Cassandra Truth: Hiroshi's dad tries to tell him that his wife Ami is cheating on him. However, the poor old man isn't believed due to mistaking Ami for his deceased wife Sachiko.
• Casting Couch: In "My wife was having an affair at an abandoned hotel… which was also the venue for the air soft match," after Hiroshi caught his wife Yumi making out with Kenshi in the abandoned hotel which both his and Kanata Tanaka's survival game teams used as a training ground, she tries to cover up her affair by saying it's her audition practice. Hiroshi discusses it by asking her if Kenshi was a TV network higher-up and threatens to confirm it. Yumi begged him not to, but he ignored her pleas and shot both lovebirds out of the building.
• Caught on Tape: Mutsuki broke into Hiroshi's old house to cheat on him with a guy. After he finds a used condom, Hiroshi riddles the house with webcams to catch her red-handed and save it to his phone.
• Character Catchphrase: In the Japanese version, Hiroshi says the Japanese equivalent to "I don't understand what you're saying,"^Translationちょっと何言ってるかわからない, chotto nani itteru ka wakaranai in a deadpan manner whenever the person in front of him says something he doesn't understand or make sense. Moreover, while this phrase is also said by Rin, Bunta, and/or other characters, Hiroshi says different variations of the phrase depending on context.
• Cheater Gets Cheated On:
  • "My wife was cheating on me with her dance teacher, so I exposed them in front of everyone": Kurumi cheated on Hiroshi with her dance instructor, Atsushi Haido, and assumed that he had an affair with her because he was genuinely in love with her. She later finds out from Hiroshi that Atsushi is a manipulative playboy who seduces women to get money out of them and that he sees Kurumi as just another ATM.
  • "I don't care if he's married. I won't miss the feeling of meeting new guys": Terumi and Misaki both combine this trope with Really Gets Around and Serial Homewrecker; they are best friends who enjoy sleeping around with different men, some of whom are married. During Hiroshi's friend Yodobashi's wedding, both of them plan to sleep with Yodobashi along with his rich friends.   • "I got a private eye to see if my wife was cheating, but the report showed that she was innocent...": When Hiroshi sent Bunta to investigate Shoko's affair after Detective Misawa repeatedly told him she wasn't cheating, Bunta not only reports that Misawa was her lover, but he dated four other women behind her back. When she receives a letter that notifies her about it, she thinks it addresses Hiroshi only for the man to reveal he knew of her affair all along before taking her to court. When they have to testify, Shoko chews Misawa out for being a womanizer.
• Childhood Friends: Yuri is Hiroshi's former childhood friend, who enjoyed bullying him for being from a poor family, even several years later.
• Christmas Episode: "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it..." is set in Christmas season where Hiroshi ends up finding out his wife Shino cheated on him with a guy named Furuta from a drawing his daughter Ichika made.
• Class Clown: Hiroshi from "I was trying to prank my wife to make her laugh but..." liked to make jokes and pranks back in high school to impress his friends and then-girlfriend, Tsukika; he even kept these traits after marrying her and even his best friend, Bunta, called him out for this.

  • Maki always suspects Hiroshi of cheating on her whenever he comes home. However, when he finally proposes to her, she ironically dumps him and pines for a guy named Nori. When Hiroshi returns from his trip to France with his new girlfriend Kairi, she tries to get back with him after running out of money to give Nori.
  • Mizuho always suspects her husband Hiroshi whenever he leaves work to visit his relatives. Whenever he talks back to her with the same questions she hounds him with, she flips her lid at him.

  • "Came home to my cheating wife after a business trip…": When Hiroshi returned from his latest business trip to surprise Mariko, she had her lover hide in the closet. However, he gets caught by Hiroshi's devil, who was imprisoned there beforehand, and pushes the lover out for Hiroshi to see.
  • "I hid in the bedroom closet to surprise my wife for her birthday but...": Hiroshi hides in the bedroom closet as a surprise for Ayano's birthday, but it was rendered moot when Ayano brought her lover, Hikaru, into the bedroom and got at it for half an hour. Eventually, Hiroshi couldn't take it anymore and stormed out of the closet to chew her out.
  • "While I was playing hide and seek...": Sayaka and Koike hide in the closet upon learning Hiroshi and his daughter Aina came home early. However, when Aina suggested Hiroshi play hide-and-seek with her, he obliges and accidentally find the lovebirds in there. After sending Aina off with the mom of one of her friends, he proceeds to verbally rain hell on the cheating couple.
• Con Man:
  • The episode "A Sudden Pregnancy Report when I'm Actually… Infertile" stars a couple of con artists; Mitsuko faked a pregnancy to coerce money out of him, to which Hiroshi catches on and calls the cops on them.
  • "A car tore down the walls to my new home and...": Akito Furukawa is a scammer who lies about being an entrepreneur/marketing expert to any sucker who starts a business. When he meets Hiroshi's wife Senka, he sweeps her off her feet.
  • "My wife was cheating on me so she got bad karma": Madoka's musclebound lover whom she planned to marry and live off his money turned out to be a marriage scammer when Hiroshi had a PI investigate on the man. Moreover, he ran off on her upon finding out she was married.
• Cosplay Otaku Girl: Momoka is a cosplayer whom Hiroshi met at several anime conventions. However when they married a year later, not only did she cheat on him with a guy named Shota, but her modeling experience helped her spot and destroy every webcam Hiroshi planted in the house to avoid getting caught.

• Detective Mole: In "I got a private eye to see if my wife was cheating, but the report showed that she was innocent..." Hiroshi hires Detective Misawa to investigate if his wife Shoko was cheating on him. However, Misawa constantly assured Hiroshi that Shoko was still loyal to him no matter how many times he tried to open the case. When he gets his friend Bunta to investigate instead, he reports that Shoko was indeed cheating on Hiroshi, and her lover was Detective Misawa, who in turn dated four other women.
• Didn't Think This Through:
  • "The police told me that my wife was in an accident so I rushed home but...": Michiko buys the latest iPhone to download a secret messaging app and keep having an affair with Danmoto. However, she's rather inept at handling technology and leaves it to Hiroshi, who sets up the password and activates the phone's built-in automatic emergency dialing feature. This obviously becomes the lovebirds' undoing when Michiko drops the phone before doing it with Danmoto, which triggers the AI's response by calling both Hiroshi and an ambulance; it registers the sudden drop as a car accident. When Hiroshi rushes back home to save her and finds out the truth, the lovebirds end up in huge trouble.
  • "My wife tried to hide the affair but...": After Hiroshi searched Akemi's phone and found out she was messaging her lover behind his back, she deleted the app. The lover, named Tomohiro, told her to have his contact disguised as a bank's phone number while Akemi acted lovey-dovey towards Hiroshi to avoid suspicion. However, this caused Hiroshi to become more suspicious until Tomohiro blew his cover by messaging her at late night. Moreover, Akemi forgot to place her phone face-down, which caused Hiroshi to find out and sue the lovebirds for damages.
• Diligent Hero, Slothful Villain: Hiroshi and whoever is his rival have this dynamic, whether he's married or not. While the introverted Hiroshi is a Butt-Monkey who ends up upstaged and cheated on by the Girl of the Week and his extroverted, flashy rival is privileged with looks and/or money, the former almost always comes out on top because of his hard work while the latter ends up losing it all because of his laziness. Moreover, the Girl of the Week will try to get back with Hiroshi when this happens only to be rejected.

  • "I encountered my wife having an affair while I was on my business trip": When Uwami shrugs off Hiroshi's divorce threats by gloating that she still has Charahiro, the flashy guy reveals that he wasn't in love with her and tried to make a break for it while she was chewed out. However, Hiroshi corners Charahiro to give him the prize money while gloating about taking it away once he gets sued for damages.
  • "My wife tried to hide the affair but...": Tomohiro receives a call from Akemi only to realize it was Hiroshi who had her do the call. He passes himself as a bank employee but when the pissed-off Hiroshi talks about compensation as if he knows what's happening, Tomohiro hangs up on him and blocks Akemi's number.
• Dirty Old Man: When Mia tried to tell Takamachi to lift the toll fee for crossing his property, he tried to ask her to marry him in exchange for Takamachi letting Mia's family cross his property without paying the toll fee. • Exact Words: After Yomi proclaims "[she'll] live on as a minimalist from now on" to cover up her affair with Kotaro, Hiroshi retaliates by throwing out all her stuff before moving into a cave to live in.
• Excrement Statement: A drunk Shitsukoi dropped a can of beer at a convenience store and ordered Hiroshi to pick it up, only for the former to piss on the latter before beating him up. This leads to Shitsukoi losing his job and getting expelled from the university.
• invokedExecutive Meddling: "They made fun of me, the temp worker, so I got back at them": Shiratori steals Hiroshi's game idea and bastardized it into something more profitable for the Abigame company, causing the latter to quit. However, when the final product came out, it received one-star reviews as Shiratori's team focused all his efforts on the graphics and making Random Encounters obnoxiously frequent to make up for the lousy gameplay. Moreover, the game was so bad it got sold at discount stores very quickly. As a result, both Shiratori and the company went bankrupt.

  • "Wife was cheating so I exposed her": Michiko suddenly sent a romantic text to her friend "Jun" and didn't notice she actually texted Hiroshi until he reminded her of it. While she tries to deflect by saying it is her friend, Junko, he reminds her that the only person he knows as "Jun" is her male childhood friend, Junya. This drives Hiroshi to expose Michiko's affair to her parents.
  • "This woman sent the wrong message to the PTA chat and exposed her own affair": Chika messages her friend Mika to announce she's expecting a baby from Rin's husband, Shuhei. Moreover, she gloats about becoming set for life after divorcing her husband Goro to marry Shuhei since the latter owns a casino, and then vanish herself afterward. Much to her dismay, it turns out she didn't accidentally message Rin but also sent the messages to the PTA's LINE group chat, effectively telling on herself and ruining her own life as she finds out Shuhei was actually a chronic gambling addict.
  • "Wife accidentally sent the message she was going to send her lover to me": Nana messaged her secret lover about sending Hiroshi off in a wild-goose chase to the Aichi Prefecture for an engine sample, but she didn't notice she was messaging Hiroshi instead. It turns out he played along to get information on her cheating and then hold her accountable back home.
  • "I went on a business trip and happened to bump into my wife cheating on me with my good friend!": After Natsu realizes Hiroshi booked the same hotel she was having an affair in, Koki makes the harebrained mistake of calling him for help with his affair only to realize the latter's voice sounds next to the room. Hiroshi then puts two and two together and breaks into the room to confront the cheaters.
  • "Wife was sexting in the wrong chat": When Hiroshi left for the airport, relieved that his wife Kanako didn't cheat on him, his relief is cut short when Kanako accidentally sent him messages meant for her lover Seiya. She tries to pass it off as a joke, but Hiroshi doesn't fall for it and storms back home to catch her red-handed.
• Faint in Shock: At the end of "My wife and boss were having an affair during working hours, so I exposed them during a meeting," Mizuho faints after Hiroshi's shoulder devil appeared next to her affirming she'll be in poverty for the rest of her life after the man himself sued both her and her lover Renta for damages after Kureha fired them for having an affair.
• Fair-Weather Ex: Hiroshi's cheating ex-girlfriends/ex-wives almost always try to get back with him in the end, not because they feel remorse for their cheating, but because they don't want to get sued for infidelity, want his money, or because their cheating partner turned out to be a loser.
• Fair-Weather Foe: Menkui looks down on Hiroshi's girlfriend for dating his ex-girlfriend Reiko, an ugly, fat girl. At a class reunion, once Menkui sees that Reiko has lost weight and become pretty, he starts hitting on her. Reiko rejects him, as not only is she with Hiroshi, who liked her before she was pretty, but she also hates Menkuin being a shallow womanizer.
• Fake Pregnancy: Kanae lied about being pregnant to keep her husband Hiroshi from leaving her. She even sent him fabricated images of ultrasound and a positive pregnancy test to confirm it.
• Faked Kidnapping: In "My wife got kidnapped! However, I knew it was all a set up..." Mariko and her affair partner Kenji decided to fake her kidnapping to get money out of her husband Hiroshi. It backfired because Hiroshi didn't care and he instead exposed their plan on live TV.
• Faking the Dead: In "My wife found out I was ill, so she went on a trip with her boyfriend," Hiroshi faked his death after his cheating wife Reiko came from her affair trip with Kazuto. When Reiko comes over to Hiroshi's hospital room and fakes grief, he appears behind her and reveals he got discharged years ago and the man lying in the bed was Kazuto, who hit his head after falling down a flight of stairs in his rush to flee upon being caught.
• False Rape Accusation:
  • "I was falsely accused of indecent action in public, and now I'm back for revenge!": A high-school girl named Minako Watanabe with the help of her partner-in-crime, Takuma Yoshikawa, falsely accused Hiroshi of touching the former to restore their reputations. It didn't help he was an otaku and he got arrested. She also pulls this on a random man and forces him to pay compensation under the threat of calling the police.
  • "Caught my wife and pizza guy making out in the bathroom when I arrived home from a business trip": Miho accused the pizza guy she slept with of raping her when Hiroshi caught her in the act. He doesn't fall for it and locks the lovebirds in the bathroom to call her father, who reports her to the police, cuts ties with her, and has her jailed for her past crimes.
  • "My wife was having an affair with my boss, so I called his father to the scene to get revenge!": Alice accuses her lover, Mr. Nagai, of trying to rape her when Hiroshi catches them red-handed before screaming at each other. Understandably, Hiroshi doesn't buy any of it and tells them both to shut up and then proceeds to call the CEO, Alice's father, who fires Mr. Nagai and sends Alice away to learn proper manners again.
  • "The police told me that my wife was in an accident so I rushed home but...": Michiko accuses Danmoto of forcing himself on her after Hiroshi caught them red-handed in his rush to save her from an alleged car crash as reported by her phone's autodial feature. However, Danmoto quickly proves her wrong by saying "[she was] super down on doing it with [him]."
• Fangs Are Evil: A good tell if a character is the antagonist is they have double, sharp teeth.
• Fantasy Sequence: In "This is how I found out my wife was cheating on me," when Goro Kumada explains his plan of stealing an important blueprint from Hiroshi, Yurika indulges in a fantasy where she steals the blueprint and rakes Hiroshi over the coals for relatively small mistakes and having him beg at her feet before Goro shows up and takes her away to his private jet.
• The Farmer and the Viper: In "I married a girl I saved, which turned out to be the worst choice I ever made in my life," Hiroshi finds a battered Setsu and takes her into his home to nurse her back to health. However, she reveals her true colors after marrying Hiroshi, picking on his appearance and constantly taking advantage of his kindness by threatening divorce to cow him into submission.
• "Fawlty Towers" Plot: Satomi and her lover, Mameo, try to have an affair, but Hiroshi always stumbles upon the cheaters whenever they're alone. In response, Satomi resorts to increasingly convoluted lies to cover it up. When Mameo points out the possibility that Hiroshi already knows, she shoots him down. Eventually, it turns out Mameo was right; Hiroshi planted a GPS in her purse and sprayed her with perfume in a taxi cab to track her scent. Eventually, Satomi is forced to pay compensation and Mameo's smartphone which she busted earlier on.
• Fire Alarm Distraction: In "I was on a company vacation and at the hotel, I saw a woman that looked exactly like my wife…" when Hiroshi's cheating wife, Mari, learns he was at the same hot-springs inn as her, her lover, Takato, activates the fire alarm in a panic, causing the staff and hosts to flee. When the manager found out, he chewed the lovebirds out for playing around with the fire alarm.
• Fire-Breathing Diner: Hiroshi replaced his tomato juice with tabasco sauce on the day Teruyama presented it to the CEO. When the CEO drank it, he immediately felt the effects of the hot sauce. Teruyama drank it and it burned him so much, that he got hemorrhoids and could no longer sit on chairs.
• Flower Motifs: In "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it...", Hiroshi sends his cheating wife Shino a bouquet of red geranium and hydrangea, of which Ichika explained they meant "love" and "family" respectively. When Hiroshi shows up dressed as Santa, he explains that the other meaning of hydrangea flowers was "cheating".
• Forging the Will: In this story, Hiroshi enters into the Hiyama household's basement, which was filled with files, pills, ropes, and murder implements, as well as photos of their former and next victims.   • My girlfriend entered the school beauty pageant because a mean couple made fun of her weight…: Hiroshi's girlfriend Hitomi was fat and the couple Tsubasa and Kazuya made fun of her. At the end of the episode though, she gained back all the weight.

He finally got on a date with a woman named Akane without knowing she was a gold digger. He became fatter as she had him pay for their meals until he decided to lose weight to become fit and handsome for her.

  • The channel stars a recurring character named Kanata Tanaka, who brings up the fact his name is a palindrome.

• Gamer Chick: Manami is gamer usually playing RPGs with her husband Hiroshi. She cheated on Hiroshi with another player named Mikael.
• Gaslighting: Hiori's husband, Toru, from "I was hired to investigate an affair and found out that my wife was the other woman!" was such a dangerous man he'd not only strike at the least expected moment, but would also mess with his victims' minds and get a laugh out of them as they mentally deteriorated.
• Gender-Blender Name: In "I set up a baby cam to check up on my new born baby, but the camera showed me something unbelievable" [sic], Son's original name from the Japanese version is Mikoto, which is traditionally a girl's name.
• The Girl Who Fits This Slipper: In some stories where Hiroshi's wife/fiancée/girlfriend cheats on him and tries to cover it up whenever he returns home, her lover will end up leaving an article of clothing behind in his rush. While Yui tried to argue that those were his and he wore the suspicious briefs, Hiroshi eventually found out these belonged to a student of his named Saburo Suzuki by peeking at the name tag.
• The Glasses Gotta Go: In "Boss pretends to care for his family while secretly attending matchmaking parties" after Hiroshi secretly arranged a matchmaking party for the two-faced, cheating, womanizing Section Chief, he finds that Mai, one of the women called over by Arisa, underwent a makeover and wore contacts to the party.
• Gonk: The antagonists are always depicted as extremely ugly in the thumbnails.
• Goo Goo Getup: Son tried to prank his lover Mao by dressing up as a baby and laying in Chiko's crib. However, both were not aware that Hiroshi put up a baby monitor to reveal Chiko to his parents and in-laws.

• Goofy Suit: In "I encountered my wife having an affair while I was on my business trip," Hiroshi is sent to Mitubatei Hotel to be the opponent on a table tennis match they hosted... as the parent company's mascot, Skassi. The suit causes Hiroshi to sweat and hampers his tennis ability. However, when his cheating wife Uwami attended the match with her lover Charahiro, their flirting pissed him off enough to reveal himself. Eventually, they had someone else wear the costume while Hiroshi finally showed off his skills for once. When Uwami came back to borrow money only to be repeatedly beaten by Hiroshi at table tennis and sued for damages, reducing her to wear the costume to pay them.
• The Grovel: The Girl of the Week may beg Hiroshi for forgiveness whenever he catches her cheating, even tearing up to this effect. However, Hiroshi won't have any of her hogwash and punish her nonetheless.

  • "She dumped me back in high school, but now she was trying to get back with me": Motoko and her friends dressed like kogals back in high school, complete with ganguro tan. Years later when she returned to get back with Hiroshi now he's a doctor, she dropped the style completely.
  • "My wife went on a trip with her boyfriend, so I surprised her by replicating the entire trip": The karaoke store worker whom Hiroshi calls about his wife Mana's behavior has a ganguro tan, lighter lipstick, and dirty blond hair. In the Japanese version, she even speaks like one.
• Harmful to Minors: Miya calls her father Hiroshi to tell him she took her mother Ririka's phone and showed a picture of the woman sleeping with another man to her friends.
• #HashtagForLaughs: At the end of "I thought my wife was addicted to social media, but she was sending secret messages to her lover," Ami quit her job and tweeted it to her followers. However, they would have none of it and punished Ami by tweeting sightings of her under the hashtag "#FindAmi."
• Helicopter Parents: Reika's parents heavily involve themselves in their daughter's life even after she married Hiroshi. Hiroshi and Reika took them to Iceland for their honeymoon. The penguins there disturbed the couple, causing them to vow to never interfere with their daughter's life again.

Hiroshi and his wife Tsukika were dating since high school, but their married life became uneventful and she didn't laugh at his jokes anymore. Moreover, Tsukika is revealed to have cheated on Hiroshi with a guy named Maakun when he taped himself to their bedroom ceiling to prank her.
• Hoist by His Own Petard: "My wife was cheating on me with my boss so I got him demoted": After Hiroshi finds out his wife Rikako cheated on him with Mr. Shimamura and eventually remarried him, he retaliates by using the bastard's current reputation as "the Ace of Sales Department" against him. To this effect, he convinces the CEO to send Mr. Shimamura to a countryside town named Yamanashi, hoping his "skills" will bring huge profits. Needless to say, the plan worked; Shimamura is left destitute, his new wife leaves him, and everyone in Yamanashi sees him as dead weight.
• Hopeless with Tech: Michiko buys the latest iPhone to download a secret messaging app and keep in contact with her affair partner, Danmoto. However, she doesn't know how to set it up and leaves it to her husband, Hiroshi. This becomes hers and Danmoto's undoing as Hiroshi sets up the phone's built-in emergency dialing feature, which activates while Michiko and Danmoto have their affair and leads Hiroshi to walk in on the lovers by accident.
• House Fire: In the "A fire occurred at my wife's family house and..." an emergency newsflash announces that the Matsudaira mansion goes up in flames. Hiroshi, whom Sayaka lied to about looking after her father to cover up her affair with Kenji, finds out the truth when he keeps watching the TV and sees Mr. Matsudaira in perfect health and living alone at that time. When Sayaka finds out, she panics, not because her dad is in danger, but because of the inheritance in there.
• Hypocritical Humor: In "After one year of working away, my wife asked for divorce and demanded for compensation" [sic], Karion hangs up on Hanako and blocks her number after learning Hiroshi knows about their affair. He then assures himself that there are other girls and he doesn't like Hanako that much. However, he proceeds to sing Hanako's name over and over on the street, which helps the cheating woman identify him to Hiroshi before he applies the corresponding punishment.
• Identical Stranger:
  • Fusei cheated on his exams by having his look-a-like Kawari take his exams in his place while he stayed at home. However, when Kawari passed out during the university entrance exam due to asthma, Hiroshi decided to expose Fusei's scheme. As a result, he wasn't able to enter the universities that he applied to.
  • "My mother was always complaining about my wife, saying she always leaves our child with her, but...": After Hiroshi and Mary had their baby daughter, Noah, his mom mistook another woman and her baby for Mary and Noah. When the couple finds out, the woman, named Sophia, confesses that she also came from the Bruzoi kingdom like Mary, and took advantage of it because her own husband, Atsushi, neglected both her and her daughter, Eve.
• Idol Singer:
  • Tsumugi is a pop idol, who is mistreated by her producer who wants to be in a relationship with her. He banned Hiroshi from meeting Tsumugi when he noticed she wasn't looking well. Tsumugi reached out to him via an anonymous phone number and told him about her troubles. Hiroshi investigated the producer and brought the evidence to the president. The producer was fired and Hiroshi was put in his place.
  • Hiroshi's sister Momoka is an idol whose boyfriend, Kenichi, works in the industry as her manager. However, her career is threatened when Kenichi proposes to start a rumor about her getting plastic surgery to make her famous.
• I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: Touya hated the lunch he brought Hiroshi from the latter's mom's request and even threw it in the trash to spite them both. However, once he tastes it, Touya finds out it is delicious to the point he throws his own lunchbox in the trash.

  • "The guy who stole my previous girlfriend got my current girlfriend pregnant": Takeshi's mom disowns him after Hiroshi exposed his infidelity to the wedding guests.

What's more, the man turned out to be a PI himself, sent by Fumina to spy on Hiroshi. Therefore, Hiroshi sent another PI after the assistant.
  • "After I came home from work, I found that our place had been ransacked…": When Hiroshi confronts Runo for cheating on him after the police showed him footage of her lover running out of the house, she denies having met a guy with a high-pitched voice, which ends up telling on her as Hiroshi didn't mention how did the guy sound.
  • "My wife went on holiday with her lover, so I decided to follow them": After Jinan called the cops on Kazuma before he could tailgate Hiroshi, the former begged that he'd be fined if arrested for dangerous driving. When the police take it as a sign he had something he didn't want them to see, Hiroshi's cheating wife, Ichika, complained it would be an invasion of their privacy if they looked at their phones. However, this ends up worsening things for the lovebirds as the cops didn't mention looking at their phones. As a result, they found nude photos of Ichika while searching Kazuma's phone, giving Hiroshi the necessary evidence to sue both cheaters.
• Instant Humiliation: Just Add YouTube!: In "Head of nurse was super rude to the patients, but she got what she deserves," when Matron Terada stormed out of Mr. Yamamoto's room after chewing him out for not recovering fast enough and firing Rin for defending the poor sod and talking back to her, she returns pale from fear after seeing a crowd of people outside the hospital calling her a cheater. It turns out Mr. Yamamoto was a YouTuber who had a mini-camera on his helmet to live-stream his tours and forgot to turn it off, thereby exposing Matron Terada's abusive demeanor and affair with the Director. As a result, the Chairman fires both lovebirds and the Director's wife sues Terada for compensation.
• Insurance Fraud:
  • "Married my boss's beautiful daughter… and found something shocking in the secret basement": Toshio Hiyama made himself rich by killing people for insurance after his wife died in a flood in Thailand and got her insurance money. His daughter, Chinatsu, is also in on it, as she killed her previous husband to collect his insurance and then plans to do the same to Hiroshi after marrying him.
  • "After our parents died, my brother and I were living in a park…": After Hiroshi's and Satoru's parents died in a car accident and had to live with his lazy uncle, it turns out the bastard only took them so he could steal the insurance money the couple left for the brothers. Moreover, he even caused the car accident that killed the couple by talking to his brother while he was driving for "advice." Upon discovering his fraud from Mr. Satake, an acquaintance of his dad's, he resolves to make his uncle pay.
• Ironic Echo: In this story, Fumina tells her husband Hiroshi, "You ended up here because of yourself" when he complained about her abuse. Later on, when Hiroshi catches her cheating with his assistant and threatens divorce, he retorts the same phrase back to her.

When he found out that the vice president had pulled some strings to get Tagaru into the university so that he would become a board member of Tagaru's father's company, he fired him and rescinded Tagaru's admission.
• The Klutz: Kayoko is a young woman whose clumsiness makes her a hindrance in doing the house chores, so Hiroshi has to provide for her.

As a result, the CEO fired Mr. Nagai and sent Alice away to be taught proper table manners as punishment.
  • "Wife was having an affair with my boss I caught them banging in the meeting room so...": After finding out Kako cheated on him with Mr. Futamata and saw them doing it in the meeting room, Hiroshi proceeded to take their clothes away and locking them in until morning. Much to the lovebirds' further dismay, the meeting room's windows were clear enough for everyone to see them. The next day, they plead with Hiroshi to let them out, which he finally obliges... because it was the time they scheduled a meeting with the CEO. Unsurprisingly, the man fires both lovebirds for their indecent behavior.
  • "When I came home early from my business trip, I found my wife cheating on me in the back yard shed": After Hiroshi secretly caught and recorded Minako doing it with Asatani in the storage unit, he quietly closed the door and locked it with a pole before wrapping it in extra-strong duct tape for good measure. Then he called a delivery company to send the unit to Minako's family home and expose her affair to her parents, who fire the lovebirds on the spot and disown Minako for her affair.
• Lover's Ledge: In "Wife accidentally sent the message she was going to send her lover to me," Nana has her lover Ryu hanging by the hands from the edge of the window when Hiroshi came back. While Hiroshi fell for her tears and she almost got away scot-free, Ryu's cries for help ended up blowing her cover.
• Lured into a Trap: In "My idiot wife got hooked on a dating app so..." Hiroshi signs up to the dating app his cheating wife, Akemi, used under a fake persona to set up a date with her at a high-end French restaurant. The day before, he uses Akemi's phone to invite all of Akemi's lovers into the same spot to expose her affairs and then punish them all.

• Make an Example of Them: "My wife and boss were having an affair during working hours, so I exposed them during a meeting" features a non-lethal, nonviolent example. Hiroshi exposes Mizuho and Renta's affair through an online meeting with President Kureha, whom he notified about the affair to gather all Syspico personnel. While the lovebirds tried to deny their affair, Kureha has none of their lies and makes an example out of them to the rest of the personnel. As a result, the Syspico employees became so afraid of her persistence they don't do halfway jobs anymore.
• Malicious Slander:
  • "My idiot wife lied about a vacation and was cheating on me…": It's revealed Kyoko called Auntie Junko to accuse Hiroshi of Domestic Abuse to cover up the abuse she meted on him and even her affairs.
  • "My girlfriend dumped me because I was poor, but a few years later...": After Hiroshi's workplace shut down all operations and he had to live at a cheaper apartment, Riho dumped him for a richer guy named Masaya. She then proceeded to accuse Hiroshi of stalking her so that Masaya cows him into submission whenever he objected.
  • "Wife leaves husband for earning less than her": After Sarah meets Mr. Katakura at a bar and thinks he's rich, she hides the fact she's married to Hiroshi and accuses him of dumping all his debt on her before vanishing and kept with the lies so she could divorce Hiroshi and marry Sorao. However, her lies come back to bite her as Sorao calls her over to Hiroshi's factory to hold her accountable; it turns out he has done a background check on her and found out the truth.
  • "My ex-wife is suing me, so I'm going to make regret it" [sic]: Oriko slanders Hiroshi as an abusive scammer and sleazebag to her second boyfriend Shigeru after Hiroshi catches her with a guy on the couch on his way home after the company he works at allows online work. When the lovebirds sue Hiroshi and take him to court, however, the Judge dismisses Oriko's case before having both her and Shigeru arrested for attempted fraud upon learning she made it all up.
  • "A colleague stole my girlfriend, became the CEO, and then fired me…": When Hiroshi had to resign from the company and Temae was to be the next CEO, the former's girlfriend Miko accused him of being restrictive, controlling and constantly demanding she gives him money, to which Hiroshi objects, before switching to the latter.
  • "I went to my coworker's wedding to find that he was getting married to my wife…!": Ami manipulated Hiroshi into marrying her by claiming her parents held her hostage at home to have a free slave when in reality, they constantly watched Ami because she was a chronic troublemaker at school and work. By the time Hiroshi learns about it, she accused Hiroshi of stalking and abusing her at her (illegal) wedding with his coworker, Kazuyuki.
  • "I booked an expensive restaurant only for them to humiliate me cause they thought I was poor": After Big Mami got engaged to Satoru, the owner of a luxury restaurant named San Cantara, she accused Hiroshi of being a broke moocher upon learning he reserved a table. As a result, Satoru screws up the orders taken by Hiroshi and his new girlfriend, Naomi, on purpose. However, Mami's scheme falls apart when Hiroshi reveals he's the CEO of Blueway Corp, the restaurant's major shareholder.
  • "This is how I found out my wife was cheating on me" While going on a joy ride with her lover Goro Kumada, Yurika accuses Hiroshi of forcing all housework on her and demanding money.
  • "I found a sock in my bed. The next day, my boss was wearing the same one but missing a sock...": Chisa disappeared into the night after getting into an argument with Hiroshi over dinner. Moreover, this almost resulted in Hiroshi's termination had he not uploaded a rebuttal video and won a fight against her afterward.
• Mama Bear: Rin came incognito to her son Yuto's school to find out why he came beaten up and angry at her. When she found out Yuto was bullied by a classmate named Jidai and his group of bullies, she beat them up and gave them a good scare.
• Man Bites Man: In Girlfriend was cheating on me with her lover with my money, Rio and her lover stumble upon the Bocca della Verità stone, she places her hand on its mouth to see if it's true it bites liars. Hiroshi, who was next to the stone without them noticing, makes his surprise entry by biting her.
• Meal Ticket: A non-platonic, indirect version is found in this story, when two women named Nozomi Manpuku and Kamine Mokose bring Rin along to go out with them for meals and then force her to pay their bills since she was married to a rich CEO.

• Mistaken for Santa: In "My daughter showed me a drawing of family, which had one extra person in it..." Hiroshi dons a Santa costume to catch his cheating wife, Shino, in bed with her lover Furuta while they were asleep. When the company Hiroshi worked at filed for bankruptcy and he had to live in a cheaper apartment, Riho dumped him for a richer guy named Masaya.
• Mugging the Monster: Shitsukoi relieved himself on Hiroshi and then beat him up, only for the man to reveal at the orientation held the next day, that he is the CEO. Shitsukoi promptly gets fired and expelled, then arrested for his crimes.
• Never Win the Lottery: In "Girlfriend dumped me, then…" Hiroshi started to buy lottery tickets after being rejected by Kana. The old lady at the ticket stand even lampshades it until Hiroshi wins a $300 million prize, much to her surprise. However, Hiroshi kept a frugal attitude to avoid attracting attention until Kana called intending to get back with him.
• No Accounting for Taste: Hiroshi fails to spot the red flags in the Girl of the Week's behaviors and falls for her lies. Even when she proves herself to be lazy and untrustworthy, he will still work to provide for her in the hopes she'll reciprocate. However, he'll draw the line when she cheats before punishing both her and her lover(s) for her betrayal.
• Not in Front of the Parrot!: In "My wife was having an affair at home… but my pet parrot exposed them," Hiroshi's pet parrot, Kuru-chan, exposes Fuka's affair with his rich rival Mr. Sakaraumi by repeating the words she said to the man in front of her.

Hiroshi made him sign a document swearing that he will never come on the honeymoon and other places so he'll refer his father-in-law to someone who will cancel his trip for free.
  • Rin's mother-in-law didn't like her because she was a high school graduate and therefore didn't consider her worthy of her son Makoto. Furthermore, she showed up at the couple's house and attempts to drive Rin away into divorcing him.
  • Yotaro looked down on his brother-in-law Hiroshi for being a corporate drone, yet always bugged him for money, only stopping when his sister Yukiko showed up. Moreover, he even used Hiroshi's hair wax and emptied the tin, which drove Hiroshi to plan revenge on the flashy bastard along with his other in-laws by substituting heavy-duty glue for the hair wax.
  • Iyami looked down on her son-in-law Hiroshi because he never went to college. She decided to eat at Hiroshi's restaurant for free just because he's her son in law. When Hiroshi joined Manpuku's restaurant and moved to New York, Iyami couldn't get away with sticking the bill on Hiroshi and during the Elder's Meeting, she had to make the members pay the bill but her husband was very angry with her.
  • Hiroshi's mother-in-law initially got along with him; however, she gradually changes her attitude towards him because she thinks he is unemployed despite him having a job as a full-time artist. She later starts bullying Hiroshi whenever Sae is not around and also refuses to listen to him despite he really is telling the truth.
  • Gatsumi gave Hiroshi a hard time for not having a "real job" (he studies sea creatures). In addition to this, she also kept stealing his sea urchins and eating them. Hiroshi got back at her when a friend gave him another species of sea creature. Gatsumi stole them as usual thinking they were lobster but she and her husband were unable to eat them and when she called Hiroshi, he informed her that they were crayfish.
• Obviously Fake Signature: Rin's sister begged her for a signature for Dekabukuro, of which she's a huge fan. When she refused, their mom came with an alleged signature she found online. When the sister shows it off to her friends, they find out it is fake and show her Dekabukuro's real signature before leaving.
• Ocular Gushers: While child characters cry high-pressure teardrops as expected of Vyond's Business-Friendly style, the episode "A fire occurred at my wife's family house and..." shows Sayaka crying actual streams of tears after both Hiroshi and her father find out about her affair with Kenji.
• Office Romance: Mizuho cheated on Hiroshi with a coworker named Renta; they even kept at it when the president Kureha announced there will be a $1000 reward for reporting affairs.
• Old Maid:
  • "I confronted the woman in the accounting department who was causing trouble": Takayo Tachibana is a 50-year-old veteran worker who is unable to do her job properly, with Hiroshi joking with his coworkers Bunta and Kana that she is like that because she didn't get a man.
  • "My wife and boss were having an affair during working hours, so I exposed them during a meeting": President Kureha declares that she's going to implement a $1000 reward for reporting instances of infidelity, slander, and abuse.   • Rin kept having her underwear stolen whenever she hangs it outside. The thief was revealed to be Takeo, when Rin and Mrs. Umeno traded places to catch the culprit.
  • Seto stole a woman's underwear and framed Taro for it and created a fake alibi of him buying McDonalds. But Hiroshi, who is Taro's lawyer was able to expose his lie and fake evidence by proving that the photo was edited. It later turned out that Seto was a stalker and a serial panty thief. He was arrested for his crimes.
• Parental Neglect: Sally left her daughter Rin home alone while she cheated on her husband Hiroshi.
• Parking Payback:
  • Nobue kept parking her car at her neighbor Hiroshi's garage. She began to annoy Hiroshi and his wife by making noise even late into the night. So Hiroshi decided to get back at her when she went overseas by allowing the construction workers to destroy the garage on account of a typhoon that would have destroyed her car, so he allowed it to get flooded instead.
  • Muda kept on parking at Hiroshi's shop despite him not buying anything from there since it was nearby the nightclub he kept going to instead of studying. Hiroshi got back at Muda by not moving his car while construction on his property is ongoing. As a result, Muda didn't make it to class on time and was forced to drop out of college by his parents and find a job.
  • Mrs. Araichi decided to park her sports car at Hiroshi's yard, which killed the grass. Annoyed by this, Hiroshi decided to get artificial grass and put in screws and signs to stop her from parking at their yard. She doesn't heed the warning, and ended up getting a flat. After that, her husband found out about it. He forced her to apologize to Hiroshi and the car had to be towed away.
• Phony Psychic: Yamakasi from "Wife thinks she is smart and can hide the evidence of her affair, but I found it!" is a shady fortune teller whom Kotomi consults to help her rid the house of evil spirits after watching a ghost-hunting TV show with Hiroshi. After suing Kotomi and her lover for damages, he has Yamakasi arrested for scamming her clients.
• Pizza Boy Special Delivery:
  • "Caught my wife and pizza guy making out in the bathroom when I arrived home from a business trip": Miho cheated on Hiroshi with a pizza guy after her ex-boyfriend, Motoya, couldn't hang out with her because his wife was in a bad mood.

Since she's not an avid anime fan as the two, she thought they were talking about a rich man and strived to take Rin's alleged man to quit her job and live a luxurious life instead of her. However, when Amamizu sleeps with the alleged Yamato and calls Rin to gloat about it, Rin reveals that her "boyfriend" was a life-size Yamato figurine while the man that Amamizu bedded was Rin's friend, Tanaka, who was a regular salesman. Amamizu changes heart after a dressing-down from Rin, she was annoyed by Tanaka's constant advances until she warmed out to him.
  • 'My "friend" stole my husband thinking he was rich': An influencer named Ai decides to sleep with Kanna's husband, Tetsuya, after he lied to her that he worked at the entertainment industry so he could leech off her money. However, Ai herself also wanted to become a stay-at-home wife and leech off of his (nonexistent) fortune.   • "Moron mom friend who mocks me saying that I'm poor breaks my watch, so I told her how much it costs": Miki is a rich mother who bullied Lynn for being poor and even forced the latter to lend her son Sho's clothes because the former didn't want her son Shige to ruin his own. This escalated when she took Lynn's watch behind her back while borrowing clothes.
  • "They made fun of my house, so I decided to show them my real house!": Ayame and Kurumi followed Rin to her house to find out who she was since she used a scholarship to study at the same university as them. When they saw her in a humble worn-down house, they mock her for being poor.

However, she didn't know that Kanna was talking about the movie Borsalino, and by "going to Borsalino" she meant visiting France, the setting of the movie.

  • Mr. Nagano is a tough, short-tempered PE teacher who was rough with the students in the stories starring him.
    • The secret agent of the school vs the maniac!: Mr. Nagano hit Ruri's brother Makoto and sent him to the hospital, causing her to swear revenge on him and she eventually exposed him to everyone; he lost his job and was thrown in jail.
    • My teacher wouldn't believe that my hair color was natural, so I had no choice but to prove it: At Pirorin High School, he used the dress code as an excuse to bully female students if he found them violating it. He especially had a bone to pick with Rin because of her natural pink hair, which he deemed fake no matter how much she tried to prove him wrong. When she was about to show him a part she didn't dye, the principal showed up and made Mr. Nagano apologize, then fired him and took away his teaching position.
  • Mr. Asanuma is a teacher who metes out cruel punishments to his students. He forced Hiroshi to stay at the school to prevent him from going to college and even shaved Kentaro's head bald. He even foiled a group of delinquents' attempts to fight him.

However, it turns out she has been forging numbers and documents to cover up her mistakes and Manato exposed her after Hiroshi caught her cheating. She then begs her dad for help only for the man to fire her for said crimes.
  • "A colleague stole my girlfriend, became the CEO, and then fired me…": Shota Temae always stole deals from Hiroshi to pass as his own to the higher-ups. Moreover, the latter couldn't do anything about it because the former was the CEO's son and got his job at the company through personal connections and put on a pleasant facade around other coworkers and higher-ups to make himself untouchable and eventually get Hiroshi.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Girl of the Week's affair partner will often run off after Hiroshi catches them both red-handed, leaving her to confront the latter's wrath to save his own skin.

While Hiroshi gives him the prize money for beating him at table tennis, he gloats about taking it away once he gets sued for damages.
  • "My wife was having an affair at home… but my pet parrot exposed them": After Hiroshi investigated the extent of Fuka and Mr. Sakaraumi's affair and it's implied he found out overwhelming evidence, he lawyered up to discuss the divorce and settlement fees. However, Mr. Sakaraumi was so afraid of his affair being found out by either the company or his wife, that he ran out on their meetings. Much to his dismay, the notices were sent to the office after he ignored the court mail, so his affair went public anyway.
  • "I caught my fiancée banging a dude in my apartment...": Upon getting caught cheating by Hiroshi, Mutsuki blocks his numbers and runs off with her lover to get out of paying the wedding cancellation fee. However, a friend of Hiroshi's chases them down and catches up with them before calling Hiroshi to get his lawyer.
  • "I found a sock in my bed. The next day, my boss was wearing the same one but missing a sock...": Upon learning that Hiroshi sued Kazuma for his affair with her, Chisa blocks Hiroshi's LINE account and scrambles out of the house to avoid paying compensation. However, she didn't bring enough money with her and eventually came back home one week later, exhausted from all the running.
  • "My wife was cheating on me...": When Hiroshi caught Sakurako and her lover Kyosuke in the train and proceeded to lambast his cheating wife, the flashy guy tried to sneak out and run only for Hiroshi to corner and lambast him for his affair with a married woman.
• The Scrooge: Ms. Kawara was obsessed with saving her company's money and gave employees a hard time because of it. She even limited the use of air conditioners to save power costs and even switched off the air conditioner in the server room even though the machines would break down if they overheat. The machines didn't break down completely, but it cost the company $12 million.
• Secretly Wealthy: Ms. Machida looked down on Rin for supposedly being poor, but when she found out that she is actually more wealthy than her, she tried to make Rin pay for the meals she and the other moms ate at an expensive restaurant. Unfortunately for them, Rin was running late due to an emergency with her kid, and the chef was threatening to call the police. Rin did arrive in time, but Machida and the other mothers were scolded for their stunt.
• Secret Other Family: Rin caught her husband Kairi walking a little girl to school. Turns out he's dating Makiko who has a child. Kairi let everyone believe that Rin was a stalker. When his wife Makiko found out the truth, she and Rin got revenge on him.
• Self-Harm: In "I married a girl I saved, which turned out to be the worst choice I ever made in my life," after Hiroshi left the house in response to Setsu's constant abuse, she calls him to apologize. When Hiroshi refused, she proceeded to cut her wrist and show it to him as a sign of apology.
• Serial Homewrecker: Near the end of "I don't care if he's married. I won't miss the feeling of meeting new guys," after Hiroshi sues Terumi and her ten lovers after their quarrel at Yodobashi's wedding, it's revealed some of them were married, causing their wives to sue her for compensation. Her best friend, Misaki, also has affairs with married men and gets sued into oblivion once Terumi exposes her.

• Shallow Cannot Comprehend True Love: Kaminoke is a Narcissistic Jerk Jock who dares the nerdy Hiroshi to ask out Sakura, the most popular girl in school; Kaminoke's plan is for Sakura to be embarrassed by being asked out by Hiroshi so that he can swoop in a woo her. His plan goes wrong when Sakura accepts Hiroshi's confession. When Kaminoke asks how Sakura thinks that a "gloomy otaku" is better than him, Sakura states that Hiroshi is one million times better than Kaminoke because while Kaminoke is rude to everyone around him, including elderly people and pregnant women, Hiroshi is a good guy who takes time out of his day to do good deeds such as volunteering at elderly homes.
• Shrinking Violet: Rin donned plain clothes and a black wig to high school to hide her past reputation as a girl gang leader. This made her a target of the mean rich girl Kana.

  • "My daughter's stalker made fun of me for being a part time worker, so I fired him from his job" [sic]: Shinshou Shitsukoi was a classmate of Nana's who stalked her whenever he saw her. He even threatened her father, Hiroshi, when he worked alongside her at one of his stores.
  • "She dumped me back in high school, but now she was trying to get back with me" Years after dumping Hiroshi, Motoko dropped her kogal style and stalked him nonstop upon finding out he became a doctor.
  • "A stalker put a camera in my daughter's room…": A boy named Sandal stalked Hiroshi's daughter, Mia, even following her to a lingerie store. When Hiroshi put security cameras all over the house to get rid of Sandal, he ended up discovering his wife Juri cheated on him with the stalker and conspired with him to let him stalk Mia.
  • "Delusional woman thinks I'm going to marry her...": Yuri stalked Hiroshi after she found out that he was working in a major company. She was so delusional that she was convinced that Hiroshi was going to propose when he came back from a business trip. However, when Yuri found out that Hiroshi got married to another woman, she went berserk and destroyed Hiroshi's house. Yuri was arrested after the fact.
  • "My neighbor accuses me of making a commotion every night but I thought it was her..": Tsuda stalked Karen, because he was in love with her. Mamoru decided to help him in exchange for food, and the two grouped together in the space inbetween Karen's and Hiroshi's rooms. However the noise disturbed both of them, and when they discovered the two men, they called the police and the two men were arrested for tresspassing and stalking in Tsuda's case.

• Strictly Formula: Hiroshi's episodes usually center on his girlfriend/fiancée/wife cheating on him with a boss, bully, or flashy "bad boy" behind his back. However, he eventually learns of the affair and the story ends with Hiroshi suing the lovers for compensation and damages, leaving them destitute.
• Struggling Single Mother: In this story, Rin is a working single mom who provides for her son Yuto, who is bullied at school.
• Suppressed Rage: In "My wife tried to hide the affair but..." when Tomohiro tries to maintain his "bank" facade after learning Hiroshi was recording Akemi's call, Hiroshi cheerfully plays along while threatening to sue him for compensation. This scared Tomohiro into hanging up and blocking Akemi's number.

• Third-Person Person The Japanese version of "She dumped me back in high school, but now she was trying to get back with me" has Motoko occasionally refer to herself in the third person.
• Threatening to Cut Ties: Chisato from "My wife threatened to divorce me every time I complained about something" often threatens Hiroshi with divorce to get her way, even going so far as to leave signed divorce papers on the table and daring Hiroshi to sign them. One day, Hiroshi submits the divorce papers, which causes Chisato to panic and admit that she was only using divorce as a manipulation tactic, but Hiroshi doesn't care as she 1: often threatens to divorce him and 2: cheated on him.
• Thriving Ex-Crush: In stories that start with Hiroshi's high-school years, he will pine for the Girl of the Week, but she'll eventually dump or reject him for being poor. However, after Hiroshi moves on and becomes successful years later, said girl will try to get back with him after struggling to find herself a rich husband, but he'll see right through her and dump her.
  • "She dumped me back in high school, but now she was trying to get back with me": Years after Motoko dumped the poor, sickly Hiroshi for a delinquent, she struggled to find herself a rich man since the delinquent and subsequent boyfriends turned out to be poor as well. When she finds out Hiroshi became a successful doctor, she stalks him with the intention of winning him back, but he eventually gets fed up with her harassment and sends her off to Kabukicho under the pretense of testing her character, where she gets addicted to host bars but ends up working a construction job to pay the drinks tab.
  • "The prettiest girl rejected me because I was too poor, but little did she know I was..." Kanako dated Hiroshi as part of a prank she and Yuuji pulled on him, but years later, she tries to get back with Hiroshi upon learning he was a successful CEO. However, Hiroshi still remembers said prank and returns her the favor by taking her to a fancy restaurant and leaving her to pay the tab.
• Through His Stomach: Mari studied cooking after Hiroshi caught her cheating as a last-ditch effort to make him forgive her for the deed.
• Tranquil Fury: In "I was hired to investigate an affair and found out that my wife was the other woman!" when a woman named Hiori hires Hiroshi's detective services to investigate her husband, Toru, if he's cheating on her, she warns him that Toru becomes calmer the angrier he gets and therefore he strikes at the least-expected moment.

  • "Cheating wife doesn't do any housework so I moved out and got rid of EVERYTHING": Yomi promised she'll take care of cooking and cleaning the house when she marries Hiroshi. However, it all turns out to be a lie as he always comes home to find clutter in his house while she lies on the couch.
  • "My wife threatened to divorce me every time I complained about something": Hiroshi comes home from work to a dirty house with the air conditioning still on. He calls his wife, Chisato, out for neglecting the housework but she threatens him with divorce to cow him into submission.
• Turned Off By The Jerkass: Sakura combines this trope with Single Woman Seeks Good Man; when the bullying jock Kaminoke asks how a pretty girl like Sakura can prefer a "gloomy" otaku like Hiroshi, Sakura explains that it's because Hiroshi is a Nice Guy who goes out of his way to do good deeds like volunteering at retirement homes, unlike Kaminoke who has no problem acting rude to elderly people and pregnant women.
• Two-Timing with the Bestie: Despite being married to Hiroshi, Natsu fell in love with his best friend and coworker, Koki, after meeting him at the train. Moreover, she hid the fact she was married for fear he would reject her. However, Hiroshi catches them as the lovebirds booked the same hotel he slept in while he was away for his business trip.
• The Unfavorite:
  • "My adoptive parents doted on my brother and kicked me out of the house": Rin's adoptive parents neglected her in favor of their biological son. It escalated to the point where they asked Rin to quit high school because they wanted to send their son to a private university. When Rin quit, she joined a motorcycle gang and her friends helped her into gaming. Eventually, she became a pro gamer while her brother quit his job after only a year and became a shut-in. When her adoptive parents begged her to help them, she refused and pulled their son out of the house and took him in.
  • "I wanted to be a singer, but…": Rin was mistreated and deemed a failure by both her mom and her good-looking older sister, for not measuring up to the latter's talent or beauty. When Rin tried to voice her dream to become a singer, they put her down, with her older sister telling her to marry a rich man instead. When a producer came over to Rin's street concerts, she became a professional singer.
  • Hina was favored more than her brother Hiroshi, because she has better grades than him. Unlike most examples, she likes Hiroshi. Years later, Hina's parents forced her to pretend that Hiroshi was dead, excluding him from being invited to her wedding, and forced Hina to go along with it. Hiroshi showed up anyway since her fiancée invited him and when the truth is revealed, both siblings cut ties with their parents.
  • Tsuyoshi was favored by his dad, Saizo, over his brother Hiroshi, whom the old coot abused with his Spartan teachings. When the man died, Tsuyoshi and his wife, Miku, came over to announce that the old man left him the mansion while bringing up the will. While Hiroshi suspected that the will was forged, he left them alone until he brought up that Saizo's company struggled with him at the helm, prompting Tsuyoshi to issue death threats to Hiroshi to have the inheritance all to himself. However, when Hiroshi watched his late father's YouTube channel and found out he regretted all his choices in life and showed it to Tsuyoshi, both brothers reconciled.
• The Unintelligible: Big Mami is reduced to this when she eats an explosive meatball skewer made by Hiroshi in retaliation for her and Ukai stealing his recipes.
• Universal-Adaptor Cast: Both protagonists have the same name, basic appearances, and base personalities but they will be cast in different roles.
• Upper-Class Twit:
  • Touya Yokodori is the son of a rich family who looks down on Hiroshi for coming from a struggling poor family. Moreover, he resents the latter's mom asking him to bring Hiroshi his lunchbox.
  • Hanka, Hiroshi's boss, is an annoying rich kid who looks down on him for coming from a poor family and brags about being a wine expert. When the department head announced the CEO's birthday and he asked to be assigned the task of buying him wine, the bastard even took Hiroshi along for it.
• Vandalism Backfire:
  • Hiroshi's mother-in-law stole his brand-new car and crashed it. When she called Hiroshi and told him, he revealed to her that it was a borrowed car from the place he bought it from and that his car is in the shop for painting. She was forced to use her savings to pay for the damages.
  • Miki stole Rin's watch and damaged it when she put it in a dryer. When Miki told her husband, he freaked out and revealed that the watch is more expensive than their own worth and they went to Rin to apologize.
  • Hiroshi lent parking space to a former member of the yakuza. Tsuyoshi stole the car parked there thinking it was Hiroshi's car and ended up crashing it when he tried to avoid a dog. When he called Hiroshi and tried to get him to pay for damages, he revealed that it was not his car, and when the yakuza member found out, he revealed that it was his former boss's car.
  • Honda and Makino set fireworks in Hiroshi's house and called him to gloat about it. However, Hiroshi tells them he moved out and the house became a notorious gang boss' office. The two bullies end up in big trouble when said gang boss shows up.
  • Mrs. Kohasu stole Igaraishi's car thinking it was Rin's since it was parked at her place and totaled it when she crashed into a pole. Igaraishi called the secret police and they soon caught her. Her husband divorced her and took her daughter.
  • Rin's mother-in-law ruins Rin's wedding dress in a last effort to keep her from marrying Makoto. However, Rin reveals she borrowed the dress from a famous celebrity named Lemon Tezumi, which was worth $100,000. When Lemon herself showed up and found out it was the MIL who did it, both women force her to pay damages.
  • Hina took away all furniture from the Crouton Hotel to get back at Rin for overshadowing her with her status as its heiress. When she told her father about it, he revealed his company never made deals with Crouton, but with a cheap hotel business named Yourton, effectively meaning she stole the furniture. As a result, both father and daughter come to the Crouton to apologize for the damages, but the staff forces them to pay one hundred million yen and eventually, he sells his company to Rin's father to avoid bankruptcy.
• Villain Team-Up: Yohei and Mr. Kusuda conspire together to take Hiroshi out of the competition, specifically by destroying his database of important data. When they break into Hiroshi's house to celebrate and goad his wife Eri into drinking, Yohei decides to have his way with her while he's away and Kusuda passed out drunk.
• Visible Odor: In Wife cheats but shows no remorse so I sent her to hell, Hiroshi comes home to an extremely strong stench as a result of Rio spraying Febreze all over the house, especially in their room, which clued him about her cheating.
• Wedding Smashers:
  • "My boss thought my wedding was held abroad and invited herself but...": Rin and Yui discuss it when their boss, Setsuko, demanded the former invite her to her wedding. It turns out she invited herself to Ms. Yoshida's wedding to eat for free at her expense. Moreover, Setsuko started rumors about the bride in revenge for not inviting her.
  • "I went to my coworker's wedding to find that he was getting married to my wife…!": Upon discovering the bride in Kazuyuki's wedding was his wife Ami, Hiroshi stops the wedding and exposes their affair to the guests. While Ami remained defiant while revealing she forged the divorce papers, Kazuyuki cowered and called off the wedding, revealing he had no money to pay Hiroshi the damages. After Hiroshi took back the forged papers, Ami's parents disowned her.
• We Will Not Use Photoshop in the Future: Keiko used her experience in photo editing to hide her affair by posting photos of herself and her fellow mom friends in Atami. However, Hiroshi starts to suspect and turns to his friend Bunta, who is also versed in photo manipulation, for help. After Bunta confirms that one of the photos was doctored, he confronts Keiko on her affair.
• White-Collar Crime:
  • "Gold Digger Elopes With The Boss… When She Learns The Truth…": After Kayoko dumps Hiroshi for the Chairman of the company he works at, the bastard frames Hiroshi for his embezzling money from the company and orders his son the President to fire him. However, Hiroshi had the safe with the embezzled assets switched with a dummy filled with memo papers and then exposes his crime to the shareholders, which leaves the former Chairman destitute and with no reason to live.
  • "My wife was cheating on my while secretly lying about being on maternity leave": After finding out Yumi was married, her lover Manato exposed the fact that she forged numbers and documents to cover up her mistakes, even forcing her subordinates to do the same. The ensuing complaints caused Yumi's dad to fire and disown her.
  • "I confronted the woman in the accounting department who was causing trouble": Veteran employee Takayo Tachibana accuses Hiroshi of embezzling money when he went to eat at an Italian restaurant with a client and upgraded the course meal at the client's request. To make matters worse, she accused the other employees of embezzlement for taking expensive alternatives to get them fired.
  • "My wife cheated on me with the company president and got me fired": After Mitsuko divorced Hiroshi and remarried the CEO, she calls him about a bunch of people who came to his office, who turn out to be from the IRS. One of them, Masaru, was Hiroshi's friend and sought out the CEO for tax evasion, which was the reason Mitsuko offered to make Hiroshi the new CEO earlier on.
  • "Boss stole my wife away from me": After Mr. Maezawa stole Hiroshi's wife, Ayame, and gloated about inviting him to their wedding, his celebration is cut short when Hiroshi reveals that Ayame's company was in trouble because she has been forging documents and thought merging it with Maezawa's would save it. Moreover, a whistleblower exposed Ayame's company, causing a huge scandal that led to Ayame's firm going bankrupt while Mr. Maezawa lost everything.
  • "My boss thought he knew about wine like a sommelier, so I exposed him in front of everyone": After Bunta revealed that Hanka frequented the winery to buy the most expensive wines under Skatt Corporation's name and asked Hiroshi if they had parties that often, Hiroshi investigated Hanka's purchase history. At the CEO's birthday party, Hiroshi exposed Hanka's embezzlement in revenge for the latter's abuse. As a result, Hanka receives a huge dressing-down from the CEO before getting fired and forced to pay all the money he stole.
  • "My wife asked for a divorce in the middle of a restaurant, on our wedding anniversary…": Hatayama conspired with Hiroshi's wife, Minami, to embezzle money from the company and steal Hiroshi's money. However, when Hiroshi calls the cops on Hatayama for his crime and sues Minami for damages before her arrest for being an accomplice to Hatayama's scheme, it's revealed Hatayama's father, the Managing Director, was also in on it after the former pointed the latter as an accomplice.
  • "My boss thought my wedding was held abroad and invited herself but...": After squandering a lot of money on her trip to Cancún for Rin's wedding only to learn it would be held in Atami, Setsuko embezzled money from the company under the pretense of having a business trip to Mexico. However, her boss doesn't fall for it and gives her a huge dressing-down for blackmailing subordinates just to get free trips and food at their expense before firing her.
• Womanchild: Saiko is a childish young woman who, after marrying Hiroshi, sucked at housekeeping. She even cheated on Hiroshi with a guy named Manta out of sentiment since both were bullied.
• Woman Scorned:
  • At the end of "My wife went on a trip with her boyfriend, so I surprised her by replicating the entire trip," Yuuki breaks up with Mana after being threatened by her parents and getting caught by Hiroshi. She doesn't take it well and proceeded to go berserk on him and break everything in the apartment, which got the cops called on her.
  • "This woman thinks we are going out and goes crazy after I announced my marriage": Tomomi Hirai was in love with Hiroshi and acted like she was close friends with him. However, she went berserk when he announced his marriage to his fiancée Mizuho not only because of being scorned, but because she bought an apartment, told her parents she was marrying him, and even planned out honeymoon. Tomomi's behavior shortly escalated into destroying everything in her path, with Hiroshi comparing her to a Hannya^note a type of oni, specifically a jealous female one.
• Workaholic: Mariko from "Came home to my cheating wife after a business trip…" worked harder than the average employee until she suffered burnout from it all. When she quit her job after marrying Hiroshi, she slept all day and acted dismissive towards him despite a long time since her burnout. Eventually, Hiroshi catches her cheating after returning from his business trip.
• Work Off the Debt: In "I thought my wife was addicted to social media, but she was sending secret messages to her lover," after Hiroshi caught Ami having an affair with a guy named Ryuji, he forced them to work at the sweets factory with Mr. Hoshino. However, Ami couldn't handle it and quit her job, tweeting it to her followers. Much to her dismay, they issued a social punishment by tweeting sightings of Ami wherever she went.
• X-Ray Sparks: In "Wife was sexting in the wrong chat," Kanako's startled reaction at Hiroshi going home early while she sexted her boyfriend, Seiya, is illustrated like this.
• Yaoi Fangirl: Kanako was seemingly revealed to be one after Hiroshi decided to sneak through her drawers and find boys' love books in there, but it turns out to be a cover for her cheating.
