WMG / Bunnicula

Howie the dachshund will later appear in the TV series
Most likely as a pet that Mina adopts, making him the newest addition of the main cast, just like in the books. He will be portrayed as childish and somewhat naive like he is in the books. Maybe as an adaptational thing, he will be revealed to be a werewolf note .
  • Will he also see Chester as his father like in the books?

The series finale will reveal that Mina secretly knew about Bunnicula's powers the whole time!
It only seems fitting that this would be the case, plus it's a good way to end the series.

Fatty foods act as the opposite to Bunnicula's fruit and vegetable Power Up Foods
Fatty foods make Bunnicula fat, lazy and lethargic. Basically, the same effect they have on mortals, but even worse and they take effect much quicker on vampire-rabbits.
  • One episode will have Harold feed Bunnicula fries on the assumption that since they're made of vegetables they should have the same effect.

Back to the Hole of the Unworthy?
We all know Chester went in and out of a Shangri-La full of beatnik cats and 50s style poetry in “Hole of the Unworthy”, But when He asks Lugosi the Guinea Pig to put Him in, You can bet Chester could suffer from Too much of a good thing after just one day!
  • Plus, he's definitely going to miss Mina, or Harold, or even Bunnicula.

Where Harold and Chester go at daytime
Like You, I’m sure Bunnicula would want to know where Chester and Harold go to while it’s light out, right?

Curiosity killed the— Well, not the cat
Can You imagine Bunnicula coming across Chester’s diary?

A shot at Nostalgia
Bunnicula’s 80s style was seen when fed vegetable slices, so why not a nostalgic episode in the 80s style?

There will be a "Fantastic Voyage" Plot.
Either Chester or Harold gets sick and Bunnicula has to cure them by shrinking.
  • "Vampire Tick" has Bunnicula shrinking, but it's onto Harold's body rather than into, to take care of the titular character.

Rafferty is (or at least was supposed to be) a ghost squirrel.
They just played it like he wasn't.
  • Maybe there was this idea to make a Bait-and-Switch scene, where right after he said he was going back to Brooklyn, there was going to be a scene where he scampers through a building of some sort, but the idea was scrapped.
  • He could also appear in an episode as a cameo, where it is revealed he knows Bunnicula, or just met him, and then proceeds to leave through a wall.

There will be a movie, or at least plans to make one, about Mina in the future.
I'm pretty sure the screenwriters would like to explore this aspect of Mina's life, her going on supernatural adventures with Chester, Harold and Bunnicula.
  • It might be about Mina finding out about Bunnicula's supernatural-ness, or maybe how they met that Rocko guy, or even what happened after that confrontation with the Grunches.
    • The first one's jossed as of the series finale "Oh, Brother!", but there is still a possibilty for the others.
  • It could even be the premise for a whole new season. It would be fun to see Mina trying to get through school, go on supernatural adventures and try to keep it from her friends in a Wake Up, Go to School & Save the World-fashion.
Bunnicula has other vegetable powers that we haven't seen.
It's almost guaranteed that Bunnicula can gain more powers from more vegetables but we won't be able to see them all.
  • Vanilla might not just be to negate his chocolate transformation. It could also be to completely negate any power or transformation Bunnicula takes on. Everyone calls it a plain flavor.
  • Since sunflower makes him sick, perhaps moonflower could heal him. Alternatively, it could energize him like the moon's rays. Or both.
  • Sage will make him very intelligent and wise(you know, a sage).
  • Passionfruit (obviously) will act like a Love Potion and make Bunnicula fall in love with the first person he sees. Guaranteed for a Valentine's Day episode or something.
  • Alternatively, roses might make an appearance, but instead of full-on infatuation like with the passionfruit, it would make him more romantic in his advances. Things like a candlelit dinner or singing to someone up on their balcony.

Chester is not normal.
Or rather, he is not normal because he is normal. After reading some comments about it, I realized that other than humans, Chester is the only character that cannot understand Bunnicula's gibberish. It has been mentioned in some fanfics where Bunnicula is fascinated with Chester because of this peculiarity.
  • Maybe this only happens to characters not open to the supernatural. Chester once attempted to rationalize Bunnicula's supernatural nature (and got served so badly!). He does seem more accepting of Bunnicula and the supernatural in later episodes and seems to understand him a little bit better, though that could just be from spending time with him.
    • That means Mina might be able to understand Bunnicula, but he has only ever been shown making cooing noises when she cuddles him.
  • Or how about this: Chester is in fact supernatural/possesses some supernatural ancestry (Puss in Boots anyone?)/cursed(?) and this results in a language barrier between him and Bunnicula.

The characters will visit the Alternate Universe of the books.
I wonder what they'd say to each other. Maybe Howie will wonder why they're two dads.
