- Acting for Two: Considering the games it draws on had a similar pool of talent, there was going to be some overlap.
- Yuri Lowenthal reprises both his roles as the Persona 3 protagonist and Yosuke Hanamura of the Persona 4 cast.
- Much like in Persona 3, Tara Platt reprises both her roles as Elizabeth and Mitsuru Kirijo.
- Another cross series example, Karen Strassman plays the robotic Aigis (Persona 3) and the Investigation Team's little sister, Nanako Dojima (Persona 4).
- All-Star Cast:
- The loaded Japanese Cast features: Akira Ishida, Hikaru Midorikawa, Rie Tanaka, Megumi Ogata, Mamiko Noto, Maaya Sakamoto, Miyuki Sawashiro, Jun'ichi Suwabe, Daisuke Namikawa, Yui Horie, Ami Koshimizu, Tomokazu Seki, Kappei Yamaguchi, Rie Kugimiya, Romi Park, Kana Hanazawa and Yūki Kaji.
- The English cast are not to be messed with either, as it features: Johnny Yong Bosch, Yuri Lowenthal, Vic Mignogna, Michelle Ruff, Tara Platt, Liam O'Brien, Cindy Robinson, Wendee Lee, Karen Strassman, Grant George, Bryce Papenbrook, Erin Fitzgerald, Amanda Winn-Lee, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Sam Riegel, Keith Silverstein and Ashly Burch.
- Directed by Cast Member: English voice director Valerie Arem does the voice of Naoto.
- Fandom Nod: Fans often remarked on Theodore's resemblance to Kanji when Persona 3 Portable was released. This gets referenced in a sidequest, where Aigis even theorizes they're brothers who were separated at birth. She even admits she got the idea from reading fanfiction.
- Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition:
- The game has the "The Wild Cards Premium Edition", it comes with a special 3DS XL case, art book, soundtrack CD, and physical representations of the tarot cards used in-game.
- Separate from the game is a special edition themed 3DS... which for some bizarre reason doesn't come with the game.
- The Other Darrin
- The English voice of Naoto is played by Valerie Arem (replacing Anna Graves since Persona 4: Arena Ultimax).
- Likewise, Travis Willingham doesn't reprise his role as Theodore from Persona 3 Portable. Instead, he's voiced by Bryce Papenbrook. The former reprised his role for Ultimax but wasn't able to for Q which released two months later, likely due to not being available when recording for Q was taking place.
- Cindy Robinson is Ken's new English voice actor, replacing his old one since Ultimax.
- Marisha Ray took over the role of Margaret in Ultimax and Q due to Michelle Ann Dunphy being unavailable to be with her family at the time the English track was being recorded.
- Real-Life Relative:
- Yosuke and the P3 protagonist are married to Mitsuru and Elizabeth. Ditto for Kanji and Margaret.
- Teddie and Marie are siblings.
- What Could Have Been: Some◊ discarded◊ designs◊ exist for Zen and Rei that were surprisingly different from the final product. Most of them had a Deliberately Monochrome color palette for their clothes, and some designs had them physically bound to each other to emphasize their codependency.
- Unused battle dialogue from data-mining the game shows that there may have originally been plans where characters would share team attacks (which seems to have later been carried over for the Unison attacks in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth). There was also unused dialogue that would have been used on the results screen of the battle, where the characters would announce if they were about to level up soon.
