A present for Zen.

  • In the opening movie, we have a montage of all the SEES and Investigation Team members just hanging out and having a good time. In the game's chibi art style, for added adorableness.
    • Before that, we have a shot of the two Wild Cards, the protagonists of Persona 3 and Persona 4, shaking hands, ready to face the challenges ahead together.
  • Pretty much any moment where the Investigation Team bonds with S.E.E.S.
  • Besides just being a great song in itself, the main battle theme "Light the Fire Up in the Night" is an incredibly upbeat tune about the True Companions nature of both SEES and the Investigation Team.
"Like the shining stars light the path whenever it's dark,
you keep on blinking at me.
You never turn away from me, in this vast gloomy, night sky.
Light that fire up in the night!
The journey that we travel for our prize.
No matter where we go, we will not stop the shining forever!
    "
  • Seeing characters like the P3 hero, Mitsuru, and even Ken and Shinjiro of all people being sincerely cheerful is heartwarming. Which becomes rather sad considering what happens to them.
  • Kanji seems to treat Ken as if he was his little brother.
    • One scene highlights both Ken's and the Investigation Team's connection to the Justice Arcana; Ken is asking Kanji of what they're going to do with the culprit if the culprit is not bad a person after confessing that he doesn't know what to do with his mother's murderer. Kanji simply says that they will talk, then leave the rest to the police, even though in some way they still want more, because that's the right thing to do. Ken feels a little bit at peace about the situation after the talk. A gigantic Harsher in Hindsight moment as not only does Shinjiro die after Ken corners him about his mother, but the culprit in the Inaba murder case is not at all sympathetic with the deed. Also, the Investigation Team is led to believe another person is the culprit after their own Justice Social Link was kidnapped and apparently died from it. Kanji is one of those who agree to push the innocent to the TV.
    • Towards the end of the P3 path, Ken also says he sees Naoto like an older sister.
  • Rise's and Fuuka's friendship is nothing short of a fluff-fest. They immediately bond over their shared role as Mission Control and the outspoken Rise is quick to offer her friendship to the reserved and shy Fuuka - who gladly accepts and becomes inspired by Rise's motivational personality. This becomes even more meaningful if you have played Rise's Social Link in Persona 4: Like Fuuka, she used to be shy and awkward. It only makes sense she would be the first to try and bond with her.
  • When the Investigation Team and SEES finally put together that they're from different times, Mitsuru reasons out that if Persona users in the future have no knowledge of the Dark Hour, then it's likely that SEES succeeded in their mission to erase it. Akihiko tells her they shouldn't start assuming things too soon, and Mitsuru agrees, but tells him that she's seen a glimmer of hope through their groups' meeting.
  • During the P4 story, Teddie and Aigis have a heart to heart about gaining the ability to understand human emotion and the beauty of the real world (which Teddie describes as "sparkling".) While they don't get to finish the dialogue as Aigis cannot yet understand what Teddie means by "tears of happiness", they do eventually finish it in Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, despite having lost their memories of the original conversation.
  • Teddie and Koromaru spend the majority of the plot in a faux-rivalry, caused by Teddie being jealous of Koromaru receiving far more affection than he does, while Koromaru simply goes along with it because he sees Teddie as a fun and challenging playmate. Koromaru's view of their relationship eventually becomes mutual when Teddie realizes that he can learn far more from Koromaru if he sees him as a role-model, rather than a rival.
  • Some of the wedding scenes in general (even though they are fake). Aigis' scene with the P3 Hero in particular, who doesn't know much of humanity as a whole as Character Development hasn't hit her yet, and she doesn't know a good deal about "love" either, but actually develops part of it in her scene. She takes being by his side and protecting him with her life as the first step to it, and he obliges to her decisions.
    • In contrast to most of the guys, Teddie is strangely happy to be your destined partner. At the end, he admits that he's thrilled at the prospect of being married because it means you're no longer alone. A Tear Jerker when you remember that he is a Shadow born from loneliness and the desire to be loved.
    • If you're playing as the Persona 4 protagonist, and you "marry" Yosuke, his reactions are mostly embarrassment and panic. But if you choose to mess with him a bit (by pretending that the "wedding photo" is real and not manipulated), you get treated to a somewhat adorable scene of Yosuke realising that you're messing with him and joking around with you about it (complete with *actual emotion* being shown by the protagonist). It's not much, but given this is Yosuke, it's kind of sweet.
    • In his wedding event, the P3 Hero wonders if they'll run into any Shadows. Choosing "If we do, I'll protect you," he'll be impressed by how you can easily say such a line...and then imitates it. He then brushes his head nervously asking "How was my impression of you?" complete with blushing. It's really cute given his usual deadpan personality.
    • Rise's wedding event with the P4 protagonist is incredibly sweet. For one, contrary to how she's been most of the game, she doesn't act like a Clingy Jealous Girl at all, in fact she's surprisingly calm. While most of the other girls react badly to being picked up, for Rise it's an option you're given after she says "girls dream of being swept up and held like a princess by the boy they love", at which she remarks that you did it to make her happy. Then she talks about her dream of having a family with lots of kids... but the one that really hits you is when she remarks that the P4 hero would make a good father due to how good he is with Nanako.
    • Naoto's wedding event with the P4 protagonist takes the Detective Prince's stoic shell and whacks it with a sledgehammer. While she tries stay composed, she spends most of the event stammering, being completely flustered, and trying to hide under her hat. If pressed on whether she would rather be the groom in the wedding photo, Naoto tries to dismiss the whole scenario since she and the protagonist aren't in that sort of relationship yet. She then catches herself and furiously backpedals, then backpedals again by saying that she didn't think it could never happen, and eventually admits she's just digging herself deeper and changes the subject.
    • And then, of course, there's Chie's wedding event with the P4 Hero. The poor girl can barely get a sentence out without stumbling over her words or nervously trying to cover up a Freudian Slip by playing it off as a joke.
    • It's notable that in almost every wedding scene the girls are considerably more ok with the idea if they're paired up with the protagonist from their own game. Picking up Yukiko or Yukari for example gets a reaction that they'd be mad with any other person but since it's them they're ok with it.
  • Reuniting the two dolls in the second dungeon.
  • The series of quests for Rei to get Zen a present is two part hilarious and five parts heartwarming, especially the end.
  • Yukari and Mitsuru's heartfelt talk in the 4th Labyrinth for the P3 side. Yukari admits she wishes SEES were closer friends like the IT, and Mitsuru finally starts opening herself up more to everyone as a result. It culminates in SEES deciding to have a dinner party together once everything is over. Even considering how things go later in canon, it's highly heartwarming.
    • Likewise, Yukari's talk with Rise beforehand shows a great maturity in Rise, who despite not knowing about Yukari's past has a great understanding of her thanks to Rise's experience with hiding her true emotions behind "Risette", and what Yukari needs to do to improve her relationships with the seniors in SEES.
  • If you have Junpei and Yukari in the same party, half of the time they'll argue with each other in battle, but the other half they'll encourage each other instead.
  • Rei's return from retrieving the key cards. As she's crying from a mix of relief and exhaustion, Zen and the Leader both congratulate her for her bravery. If you're playing as the P3 Hero, you get the option to hug Rei, with cute results. (Though Zen glares at you right after that.)
  • The entirety of the "I Want to Play, Too" request is both this and Funny Moments as poor Theo finally gets cut a break in his Day in the Limelight. Of course that's not to say shenanigans don't also take place.
  • The ending of the request "Escorting the Sisters" has Margaret be glad she was brought to this strange world, because at least it let her see Elizabeth again. It's a bit of a Tear Jerker too, since Margaret is from the future where Elizabeth has left on a journey to save the P3 hero, and she can't tell her that, but this line is still incredibly heartwarming:
Margaret: Even if we are to be separated one day, no matter what fates we strive for... we'll always be sisters.
  • With DLC, you can have Nanako Dojima as your navigator, which is exactly as adorable as it sounds. The crowner, however, is when you get into a boss fight while she's navigating: she'll tell you to "do your bestest!" in the most sincere and adorable tone imaginable. This counts double if you're playing the P4 route.
  • One of the possible scenes at the main hub is Ken stroking Koromaru's chin, with Aigis watching and Fuuka making a "daww" expression in the background, before Koromaru walks up to Yukari and lets her pet him, then runs around everyone happily.
  • In the final labyrinth on the P4 side, a scene has Chie noticing how Yukiko often helps her, even if Yukiko doesn't realize it. The two promise to be there for each other, showing how far they've come after facing their Shadows.
  • The credits display a smiling Zen and Rei walking hand in hand, before they stop. Rei blushes as Zen takes her other hand and they disappear into the afterlife. It's a beautiful, though terribly sad moment.
  • A lot of the battle banter that occurs if you have certain combinations of characters in your party. They're short and tend to play under some obscure circumstances, but they're adorable.
Kanji: H-hey! You're pushing yourself kinda hard, aren't ya?
Naoto: Heh... I'm surprised that you noticed...
  • As the two groups return to their own timelines, despite knowing their memories will be erased, none of them actually say goodbye. Instead, they exchange thanks and say they'll all meet up again someday. In Persona 4: Arena and Arena Ultimax, they manage to do so. At least, most of them do.
  • Just the fact that both teams are willing to risk having it so they'd never been born for the sake of making sure it doesn't happen to Rei. Rei is unfortunately not all important in the scheme of the world; she spent her whole life being a sick girl who died before doing anything so the world wouldn't be affected at all, whereas the P3 and P4 teams are both in the middle of serious world-affecting quests, and serious, potentially world-ending disasters would occur if they didn't exist (Yukari not existing would mean her father wouldn't have her as motivation to stop the first attempt at the Fall years ago, any of the investigation team not existing means they'd never catch the killer and thwart Izanami, etc). Despite this, they risk the greater good because regardless of her short life, Rei matters to them.
