Lost in Translation: One of the reasons for the series' lack of attention is that there have been few videos that have been able to provide English subtitles for the Chapters. However, the YouTuber Zephirum made a whole translation up to Chapter 6 on 9/16/2021, and the playable demo game versions are released up to chapter 4.
LINUJ originally created two students who never made the final cut: an Ultimate Terrorist and an Ultimate Beautification Member. The former was deemed too inappropriate, even for Hope's Peak Academy, and the latter was eventually changed into Teruya's character.
Kanata was originally planned to be a chapter 2 killer. Her sweet persona was going to be revealed as a facade, and she was actually a psychopath. But LINUJ abandoned the idea because he said he didn't have the heart to make such a nice character into a monster. This concept was eventually Refitted for Sequel with Kanade, who coincidentally (?) possesses several similarities to her, such as name, short stature and Shrinking Violet demeanor.
