"I gave you all time to think it over. And yet you still want me to stay."
  • Captain Falcon's Heroic Sacrifice. You're lying if you're a fan of the show and didn't tear up just a little. The impact it has on Team Falcon and Sonic: the former two realize that despite all of Captain Falcon's eccentricities, they still grew attached to him. Sonic, on the other hand, realizes that he'll never get to beat Falcon in a rematch, lamenting how he finally got what he always wanted: to be the fastest in the World of Brawl.
  • Bowser's entire backstory. Much like the other villain trophies, the world of Melee assumed the absolute worst about him. They cruelly abused the defenseless Koopa day in day out, solely based on the actions of his previous incarnations, in spite of being nothing like them. He lost his wife, the previous Peach and was also forced into true villainy after losing Pichu, his first and only friend at that point. He then betrays and almost kills his former ally Mario, out of retaliation for his past humiliations and taking Peach away from him, before realising just how much he grew to care about him, Roy and Peach. Overcome with horror and grief over his actions, he concluded that following Ganon's plan was the only thing left for him. Then said leader kills his master and friend, Mewtwo in front of him. This compels the distraught Koopa King to decide that he didn't want to live anymore and he sacrifices his last stock, believing that he had done too much to redeem himself. These tragic events are what led to his wish for a world where trophies can live in harmony, regardless of the labels "hero" and "villain" stemmed from. Episode 20 shows that a devastated Peach watched him sacrifice his last stock. Imagine how she must have felt, her last memory in the World of Melee was the only person she had left committing suicide before her very eyes.
  • Link's backstory in Episode 10 puts all of his heinous actions into a very different light; being forced to live up to the legacy of his past incarnations even though his heart wasn't into it, and being ridiculed and belittled for not wanting to only put enormous pressure on him, something that was only exacerbated when he not only miserably failed to do so, but that the only person who even bothered to recognize this was Ganondorf, the very enemy he was supposed to defeat. It's no wonder he decided in his next life that he'd rather live by his own (warped and twisted) beliefs than to spend another moment trying to pretend to be someone he isn't.
    • Link's recollection of his backstory is also distinct in that he's explicitly explaining it to Ike. Prior to this, he never bothered to even try to explain it...before Ike asked why he was doing all this, believing brainwashing was part of the issue. While Link does kick down this notion, it's notable that he's much calmer than his usual behavior, allowing Ike to offer his own insight on the matter and his firm belief that Link can still be a good person and get what he wants. While Link scorns the idea later on, it does speak to the fact that Link probably did subconsciously appreciate this, not because it changed his mind due to him recognizing he had gone too far to turn back, but because Ike was probably the first person outside of Ganondorf who was willing to understand his side of the story.
  • The third act of Episode 15, when Bowser's friends visit him in the BS Society prison after he turns himself in. They show just how much they care for the Koopa King... which makes it harder for Bowser to imagine being separated from them.
  • The fact that Mewtwo believed Bowser killed him, despite all evidence to the contrary. It's only when he hears it for himself does he finally apologize to his old friend...before the real Lucario takes back control of his body.
  • The final part of Episode 17, where it's revealed that Bowser actually broke down into tears when he recalled the deaths of Mario and Mewtwo. This not only convinces Mewtwo (who had taken possession of Lucario) to reconcile with his friend, but also forces Mario to realize Bowser may not be the enemy he's been hunting down all this time. Then Bowser reveals that he so anguished about the whole ordeal that he intentionally committed suicide by jumping off Final Destination until he had exhausted his 10-life stock.
  • The final part of Episode 19 where Samus fires a shot of the Creator's energy at Ridley, who then catches and re-directs it at her, immobilizing her and slowly killing her. He then proceeds to eat her whole, and in her last moments, all she can think of is Wario, shedding a tear as she's swallowed whole.
