Sandbox / Robot Girl Wick Check

Go To

Here a wick check is being performed for Robot Girl.

Why? This trope is supposed to be for a cybernetic/artificially-made girl who is considered attractive. However, the trope is suspected of being used for any female robot/Cyborg/Artificial Human/Artificial Intelligence, regardless of whether they're considered attractive, to the point that it goes anywhere from straight-up listing female examples of Ridiculously Human Robots to People Sit on Chairs.

Correct Use: The Robot Girl in question is considered attractive and/or is subject to fanservice (/100)
  1. InterspeciesRomance.Anime And Manga: Negima! Magister Negi Magi, the girls of the Unwanted Harem who have an actual interest in Negi include a vampire, her Robot Girl servant, a ghost, and perhaps a half-Tengu. Perhaps in the half-Tengu's case because she seems more interested in her (human) classmate/childhood friend. Also, Natsumi seemed to really like Kotaro's half-wolf form. And then there's the recently revealed Magical Land, which seems to be mostly populated with Humans, some Funny Animals, even the odd demon. All of this little world is implied to happily mingle and reproduce without much regard for species. The Robot Girl in question (Chachamaru) is no stranger to being subject to fanservice and is part of Negi's harem so a somewhat correct example.
  2. StarCrossedLovers.Anime And Manga: Ai and Yota from Video Girl Ai, since he's a human and she's a Robot Girl who shouldn't have human feelings and was tasked with simply helping Youta, but fell in love with him which is a death sentence for Video Girls. They earn their happy ending, though.
  3. Characters.Subverse: A Ridiculously Human Robot with overtly feminine and jiggly chassis.
  4. Archive.Confirmed YKTS 2: Some weird English translated eroge I played aaages ago. The protagonist is some kind of young space navy officer with a cybernetic arm (or leg, I don't remember exactly) assigned to some space/moon base. Predictably, it's soon revealed that there's a virus going around that makes everyone very horny. The wooable girls included a red/pink-haired girl whose selling point was that she'd just turned 18, a green/blue-haired Robot Girl, the base's Christmas Cake chief and some ice-cold senior officer and her lesbian lover who had been spreading the virus around. You didn't hear it from me but Critical point [05/30/10] Thnx bro!
  5. Characters.Another Eden Sidekicks: Laser-Guided Amnesia: He lost his memories after being saved by the party due to the damage to his memory functions. However, he seems to retain his feelings for the Robot Girl he fell in love with, although he can't explain it himself. Kind of since at least she fulfills the "considered attractive" part but still.
  6. LoveDodecahedron.Webcomics: As an Animesque production, MegaTokyo also features its own Love Dodecahedron: Piro is in love with Kimiko; Kimiko is Erika's best friend; Erika is in love with Largo (Piro's roommate); Largo was nearly seduced by Miho, whom he hates and thinks is an undead wench; Miho has a rather ambivalent relationship with Piro, whom she claims is her former lover; Miho is also best friends with Ping, who is Piro's robotic girlfriend.
  7. InterspeciesRomance.Western Animation: My Life as a Teenage Robot: Sheldon's Dogged Nice Guy crush on Robot Girl Jenny Wakeman. (Word of God says that if the show weren't cancelled, they would have actually become an Official Couple.), along with a one episode crush on a disguised Vexus. Being a robot doesn't stop Jenny from having romantic feelings for human men. Brad also had a robotic love interest in a couple of episodes.

Fits Ridiculously Human Robots/Fembot Better (/100)
  1. Pantheon.Establishments And Districts: Has a strong presence in the Lust sub-houses. If you want advice on what kind of monster girl appeals to you, ask them for advice. Bender has complained that there are no sexy robot girls in the fantasy brothel, but was a john anyway because he was curious. Panty Anarchy wasn't bisexual so she decided to visit the inn-boys instead, but is fine if they let her join in for threesome services. Aren't Robot Girls designed to be played for fanservice and/or considered attractive? Then again this case here would be fulfilled by the sexbot.
  2. Film.Hot Bot: The "Hot Bots" are all female Ridiculously Human Robots, that are simply played by human actresses.
  3. Webcomic.Level 30 Psychiatry: Roll, and she's a Ridiculously Human Robot to boot. There are a few reminders that Roll is a robot, mostly played for laughs. For instance, she recharges with a power cord attached to her neck and her eyes glow in the dark. She also performs a Blue Screen of Death upon seeing Rule 34 and attempts to hard reset herself with a magnet.
  4. Pantheon.Machinery: Portfolio: Clockwork Creature, Deadpan Snarker, Elegant Gothic Lolita, Hammerspace, Little Miss Badass, Mystical White Hair, Older Than They Look, Ridiculously Human Robot, Robot Girl, Sinister Scythe, Super Mode, Super-Speed, Time Master, Too Many Belts, Tsundere, Undying Loyalty, Zettai Ryouiki.
  5. Franchise.Nicktoons: My Life as a Teenage Robot (2002-2006)note First aired outside the U. S. from 2002 to 2006, then in the U.S. from 2003 to 2009. — 20 Minutes into the Future in an Art Deco world, a teenage robot girl was built to protect the Earth from threats both terrestrial and from beyond the stars. And while this state-of-the-art piece of technology does enjoy having the strength of 1,000,070 men, she would also enjoy just being normal. Cue juggling life as a high school reject with the duties of fighting bad guys.
  6. Characters.Sinfest: Going into the Reality Zone activated her "autopilot mode" and has granted a kind of freedom after her remote control exploded. Even, it seems her default mode is a sassy behaviour. She could pass for a real girl if it wasn't for her needing tech support.

    Misuse/Non-examples (/100)
  1. Characters.Ms Marvel Kamala Khan Rogues Gallery: His Kaylee Kirk disguise, although it's only apparent after "her" skin is accidentally ripped off by Zoe. Does not describe whether the Kaylee Kirk disguise was attractive.
  2. Characters.Compass Sprinters: She is a female robot with valuable AI.
  3. WasOnceAMan.Video Games: When a moth emerges from its chrysalis, does it remember its life as a caterpillar?
  4. Manga.Needless: Disc the informant, who is technically a Hollywood Cyborg, but comes across more as this. This also makes her Really 700 Years Old (actually, only few decades older than she looks).
  5. Characters. The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls Cool Type: Or perhaps her obsession with looking futuristic is because she's one of these. She's a human, therefore does not count.
  6. VideoGame.Xuan Yuan Sword Luminary: Yun is a girl form Mujia spirit who can be transformed into a more powerful fox-shaped fighting robot "Yun-hu". Not an example because that's an animal-shaped robot
  7. TheComicallySerious.Live Action TV: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Cameron is a solid example of this, when she is put in absurd or socially delicate situations, and tends to react in an extremely straightforward and practical manner. Fellow Terminators John Henry and Catherine Weaver tend to be this, too. The writers were able to generate a lot of quiet comedy with (and sometimes between) two comically serious characters.
  8. YMMV.Game Grumps: While their choice to voice Monika like a Robot Girl is funny in the first half of the playthrough, it makes her lines in Act 2 and Act 3 even more creepy and calculating than voicing her like a normal girl. Arin's reading of the already-unsettling Act 2 version of "Save Me" is even more unsettling as Arin reads it like a malfunctioning android.
  9. TearJerker.Mazinger Z: And let's not forget Erika the Robot Girl. She was an android built by Dr. Hell. However, she suffered from amnesia and had forgotten her origins. She genuinely believed she was a normal girl, and when she was told her true nature, she rejected it. And the end, she helped Kouji and she died cause it.
  10. PersonOfMassDestruction.Anime And Manga: Mahoro of Mahoromatic is an extraordinarily powerful Robot Girl who wields a huge pistol and can rip apart Humongous Mecha with her bare hands. She was created specifically to battle aliens. The trope of her creators treating her like crap is notably averted, as everyone really likes her and are friendly to her, and the fact that the more she uses her ultimate weapon, the shorter her lifespan is. Has a major part in parts of the plot, where using it could kill her. It eventually does.
  11. Characters.Gundam Build Divers: The crest that her real-world form has on its head evokes this.
  12. Characters.Punch Line: In an odd case, while she's a genius, being a robot does not give her any special physical advantages. This is lampshaded by her being told that robots are designed for a single purpose, not to be good at everything.
  13. Film.Rocky IV: Robot Buddy: Paulie gets one for a birthday present "because he doesn't have any friends" (ouch). He later teaches it to sound and act like a devoted Robot Girl (ew). Pretty much a rolling Big-Lipped Alligator Moment throughout the whole movie. Roger Ebert has some fun making light of the fact Rocky is somehow in possession of some advanced artificial intelligence.
  14. Characters. My Superhero City Transfers: Due to Brain Uploading, she is becomes one as of Holding Too Tightly, Afraid To Lose Control
  15. Characters.Tech Romancer: Yale, the pilot of the Quverarl, is a girl-shaped android.
  16. TearJerker.Cyborg 009: Episode 11, where Albert befriends this German girl named Lena, who is actually a Robot Girl, whom her father/creator wants to use as a Soul Jar for the soul of Adolf Hitler. He manages to save her, but he cannot stay or bring her along, and Lena is left at the train station mourning how she couldn't tell him that she loved him.. Holy shit, the end is sad.
  17. Pantheon.Comedy Genres: Portfolio: Joke-Heavy Stories, Ordinary Day-to-Day Life, Mundane Made Awesome, Bizarre Japanese Works Yuuko: Butt-Monkey, Born Unlucky, Book Dumb, Terrible Puns Mio: Wrestler in All of Us, Wears Small Brown Cubes on her Head, Yaoi Fangirl, Gets Mad if Anyone sees her Yaoi Doujinshi Mai: The Gadfly, Troll, Cute Bookworm, Emotionless Girl Hakase: Innocent Prodigy, Smart People Build Robots, Bratty Half-Pint, Labcoat of Science and Medicine Nano: Robot Girl, Wishes to Become Human, Do-Anything Robot, Wind-Up Key, Actually One Year Old Sakamoto: Talking Animal, Cats Are Snarkers, Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal
  18. JokerImmunity.Comic Books: Spirou & Fantasio (especially in the Animated Adaptation) has various criminals who routinely escape, but also Cyanure, the evil Robot Girl: Even when her creator decides to fully disassemble her, he eventually puts her back together out of loneliness.
  19. VideoGame.Id Cross The World For You: Dusk is a cyborg who can shrink herself.

  1. DeadpanSnarker.Anime And Manga: R. Dorothy Wayneright from The Big O with massive emphasis on deadpan due to being a (supposedly) Emotionless Robot Girl.
  2. VideoGame.Thousand Arms: Ratchet: Robot Girl of Evil Mecha 5. Talkative and cheerful, but still evil, albeit to a less destructive degree than the rest of her colleagues.
  3. VisualNovel.Ever 17: Sora, although more of a Holographic AI Girl. In the True End, she does get a robot body.
  4. YMMV.As Aventuras De Poliana: They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Many fans of the book dislike the changes this series made such as the increasingly amount of focus on silly teen conflicts and technology, the confusing messages, the title character becoming your typical Naive Every Girl main character rather than a Plucky Girl who is able to help others with her kindness, for misinterpreting the concept of the glad game and because some episodes abruptly change the context or even events of the book. note This series has the title character become paraplegic after she was attacked by a Robot Girl instead of getting ran over by a car. Zero-context example.
  5. DarthWiki. The Unyielding Plasma Sentinels: A robot who is female. Zero context example.
  6. DarthWiki. The Creepy Teen Years: Arbitrary Skepticism: He can accept What Lord_Roem, Catboy, Othyrsyde, Ynnead and .... Whatever Fenrir Is but has trouble believe what Evilprodigy is.
  7. Characters.Crush Crush: Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: She's a cute, pizza-delivering robot Cat Girl.
  8. Music.Deco 27: The eponymous Android Girl from "Android Girl". Zero context example.

  10. Anime.Shin Mazinger: The Gamia sisters, and Lorelei. Zero context example
  11. NegimaMagisterNegiMagi.Tropes D To F: Fantasy Kitchen Sink: Ninjas, robots, ghosts, vampires, nuns, priestesses, aliens, half-demons, mad scientists, hackers, Time Travelers... And that's just some of the girls in Negi's class.Mana even lampshades it at one point, having figured that Zazie Rainyday couldn't be normal, simply because hardly anybody in the class was. Let's put it this way: Even the normal kids Makie end up either with supernatural powers, or are so normal Makie they're immune to reality warping effects because they have no worries, Makie again.
  12. ShoutOut.Dragon Half: In the final arcs of the manga, Rogue Finn built three Robot Girls. One of them was armed with a Rocket Punch, and other with Torpedo Tits. Blatant reference to Mazinger Z.
  13. Characters. My Huntsman Academia Team MNVW: This is also visible in his sparring record. He loses his first bout as a Curb-Stomp Battle when his Aura gets pierced in one hit. He manages to win his next round against Katsuki, albeit through his knowledge of Katsuki's behavior and some luck. He then manages to force a near-draw against Yang by firing Glenn Smashes over and over. After this, he wins nearly every single one of his other spars during his first year, solo or in a team, going so far as to curb-stomp Cardin. The only spar where he suffered a decisive loss was against Demi Polendina who managed to defeat him easily despite using 10% Full Cowl and holding back against him.
  14. SpannerInTheWorks.Video Games: Persona 3: After his reveal as The Chessmaster, Shuji Ikutsuki plans to sacrifice most of the party by forcing Robot Girl Aigis to murder them in order to bring about The End of the World as We Know It. He's just about to succeed... but at that point, the player is reminded that he forgot to crucify the dog, too.
  15. UsefulNotes.Norwegians With No Ammo: Assassination Classroom: While the military as a whole doesn't make a real appearance in the series, but a visual in the manga seems to indicate that Ritsu, who was made in Norway, was partly created by using the technologies from the Fridtjof Nansen-class frigate of the Norwegian Navy.
  16. Characters.Canadas Drag Race Season 2: Invoked for the Snatch Game where she portrays Grimes as a marker pen sniffing Cloudcuckoolander who may or may not be a robot.
  17. InNameOnly.Live Action TV: ReBoot: The Guardian Code is, on-paper, a Sequel Series to the animated series ReBoot. In execution, however, the show has virtually nothing in common with the show it is based on. All plot threads from the original have been completely abandoned — particularly glaring in that ReBoot infamously ended on a cliffhanger — and have been replaced with a generic plot about a group of human teens and their Robot Girl companion entering cyberspace to fight an evil, hoodie-clad hacker. About the only things it had in common were Megabyte and the ReBoot icon appeared, CGI was used, and that it's a Canadian production.
  18. WesternAnimation.Sonic The Hedgehog Sat AM: A mean one appears in "Sonic and Sally". Ro-Becca, from the self-titled episode.
  19. Series.People Of Earth: Nancy again.
  20. Film.Metropolis: A mad scientist named Rotwang appears in Tiger & Bunny — complete with Robot Girl creation.
  21. CharacterBlog.Tumblr: Ask pv02, an ask blog of a Robot Girl.
  22. Characters.Still Waters 2: Robot Girl

  1. MazingerZ.Tropes P To R: The Gamia sisters, Erika, Lorelei...
  2. Series.Henry Danger: Gerta is a shape-shifting android, though her beauty is subjective. Schwoz likes her.
  3. Characters.Yu Gi Oh Card Game A To B: Comica and Delia are both Machine-Type despite looking 100% human. The only thing off about them are their mismatched eyes. The Valuable Book EX 2 confirms that they're both androids.
  4. Anime.Mazinger Z: Mazinger Otome: A digital comic published in 2009 by Go Nagai and Mikio Tachibana. In this alternate story, Go Nagai classic Super Robots (Mazinger-Z, Great Mazinger, Grendizer, Kotetsu Jeeg) are Robot Girls.
  5. VideoGame.Phantasy Star Universe: Female CASTs, who are also called CASEALs.
  6. Characters.Eiyuu Senki War Wonder: Powered Armor: Her Atlantis Armor form pilots a set of powered armor similar to the one used by Atlas. Power-Strain Blackout: However, being only human, piloting said armor will still take a toll on her, and can often lead to this.
  7. BecomingTheMask.Fan Works: Explored in the Mass Effect/Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles crossover Drift, where Cameron has spent a couple hundred years carefully developing an entire personality construct based on her "Allison" memories, effectively becoming an otherwise indistinguishable human. It turns out that Cameron has apparently been using the Allison persona for so long that elements of her have influenced other parts of her "brain", like her combat programs - which she finds quite troubling because she is apparently unable to actually do physical maintenance on her processors.
  8. RWBY.Tropes A To B: Accidental Murder: During the Tournament, the villains engage in activities that cause some student fights to become much more lethal than they're supposed to be. Cinder fixes the fights to ensure Penny and Pyrrha fight while Emerald controls what Pyrrha sees. Pyrrha accidentally destroys Penny on global television, generating such a negative backlash that the Grimm are empowered to start an all-out assault on the City of Vale — exactly as the villains planned.
  9. VideoGame.Adventure Quest Worlds: The female hero when wearing the Prometheus armor. Zero context example
  10. Characters.Cassette Beasts: There's a deactivated robot in New Wirral Park that is operated by a coin slot. Upon finding a coin and reactivating it, she turns out to be Captain Clee-0 of the Rangers Guild, who originally came from an Egyptian-themed casino and hates humanity for the limitations installed on her but is working through her anger issues.
  11. Film.Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow: Action Girl: Commander Francesca "Franky" Cook of the Royal Navy, who sports an Eyepatch of Power. She is also part of a Love Triangle in the movie. There's also the Mysterious Woman, a silent but deadly woman who controls Totenkopf's machines and turns out to be a Robot Girl.
  12. FanNickname.Video Games T To Z: Robo-hime: Alisa Boskonovitch, for having Inoue Orihime's Japanese voice actress and being practically her "future self"... being a Robot Girl.
  13. Characters.A Geeks Guide Deathworld Earth: Even uses a picture of Persona 3's Aigis.
  14. Anime. My Hime: Older Sidekick: Miyu, to Alyssa (though, Miyu being a Robot Girl, she's actually younger than Alyssa.
  15. Characters.Doraemon Nobita And The Steel Troops: She's mechanical on the inside despite looking like a human girl, in order to assist the Steel Troops in spying on humans. Shizuka was the first to discover the truth when Riruru have a Robotic Reveal.
  16. VideoGame.Cassette Beasts: Alternative Calendar: The heritage center shows that New Wirral numbers the years since the first settlers were washed up in Year 1. The Coin used to activate the Robot Girl was apparently issued in year "0x7B3"note 1971 in decimal.
  17. LethalChef.Video Games: Aigis is no different, making something that already looked absolutely inedible, even before it exploded when another liquid was added. Aigis assumed that looks didn't matter and wanted to make an 'impact' with her beverage. In fairness, Aigis is a Robot Girl who has no digestive system or ability to taste her food.
  18. Characters.X Men Orchis: If My Calculations Are Correct: See the Robo Speak trope below, as she's a Robot Girl.
  19. DeathOfAChild.Anime And Manga: There's also an episode of Mazinger Z where Shirou's crush, Lorelei, was a Robot Girl with the body of a 10-year-old cutie... and in control of a huge mecha beast. She doesn't make it. In another, Sayaka's cousin Yuri (who is actually crippled) is kidnapped and placed inside a capsule in a mecha beast's head; she's luckier than the others, though, and survives.
  20. Series.Dont Look Deeper: Aisha is an android made to appear like a beautiful human woman, though she doesn't know this at first. She's so convincing other people are fooled too, not just her. Aisha's given away only when an injury shows her metallic innards.
  21. VideoGame.Zone Of The Enders: The AI of Hathor and Anubis are decidedly evil, while Hathor's twin sister Dolores is a bubbly and innocent Robot Girl. By contrast, Dolores's alternate identity, Isis, while seeming evil at first glance, is really just a neutral Combat Pragmatist who will readily relinquish control to the pilot or Dolores... as soon as any perceived threat is eliminated with EXTREME and unrestrained prejudice. Dolores is actually a unique example, as she turns out to be a remnant of Dolores Hayes's persona, which became imprinted on Idolo when she died.
  22. Literature. If Her Flag Breaks: Curb-Stomp Battle: Hakua's Ninja Maid squad is no match for their opponent, a Robot Girl that resembles Ruri, though the real Ruri says it's a mass produced model, though they at least buy enough time for Hakua, Souta, and Nanamii to escape. Souta's friends suffer one at the hands of the Big Bad in episode 13. It manages to knock them out of the fight after using its powers against them. Only Souta manages to hang on and even he has trouble at first trying to get close enough to it.
  23. Foreshadowing.Video Games: In NieR, the main character comments on how the village's librarian (and functionally the city's mayor), Popola, hasn't aged a day in all the years he's known her, and she just brushes it off as a cheeky compliment. It is eventually revealed that the reason she and her sister Devola haven't aged is because they're actually gynoids programmed to serve the Shadowlord, and they've been manipulating you the whole time.
  24. VideoGame.World Flipper: The female gendered Droid characters sometimes are this.
  25. Characters.Ultraman Leo: See below.
  26. Characters.Sdorica Gold Orb Characters: An unusually humanlike one.
  27. Characters.Symphogear Symphogear Wielders: Her Symphogear design and tech-heavy arsenal evoke this, much like Kirika's Cute Witch motif.
  28. Characters.Girl Genius Knights Of Jove: Her mechanical body is designed to look like a human woman. She's more robot than she appeared.
  29. ComicBook.Outsiders 2003: Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Indigo was a strange variation. She started off as a seemingly-homicidal robot, then got "reformed" into a cute Robot Girl, before finally being revealed as the latest incarnation of Brainiac.
  30. UnintentionalUncannyValley.Video Games: Arma, as a golem (magical Robot Girl in this case) thankfully manages to act just human enough to not fall into this (though technology-related Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness does happen on occasion). Animals also like her and Recette describes her as "kind", which is made of d'awww.
  31. Characters.Arrowverse The DEO: Gender Inverted. He casually mentions having an AI system, and is from the same clan as Robot Girl Indigo.
  32. Trivia.Worlds Of Power: Ascended Fanon: The Blaster Master adaptation became canon to the games. In the backstory of Blasting Again, Jason is said to have married Eve, the woman from another planet who appears only in the book and is his companion for much of the story. Its elements were also reused for Blaster Master Zero, with Jason as a Badass Bookworm and Eve as a Robot Girl.
  33. Characters.X Men2010s Members: Evolved a female humanoid form.
  34. HappilyAdopted.Video Games: Tangledeep has Mirai, who was effectively adopted by all of Riverstone Camp when they found her. This happens even if she was a Robot Girl, as one version of her Multiple-Choice Past can be. Zero context example
  35. YMMV.Beochan Paisean Agust Aifeala: Hilarious in Hindsight: A Robot Girl character related to the Sanjay and Craig cartoons; are we talking about Lalasa Patel-Slithers or Bertha Van Weld from the SAC episode "Partybot Returns"? Barbara was seen swimming in a giant cup of cocoa, much like what Canon!SwaySway would do a few months later in the Christmas Special to his own show.
  36. Music.Ferry Corsten: Concept Album: Blueprint tells the story of a young man meeting a Robot Girl from another world.
  37. Characters.Blaz Blue Continuum Shift: The eleventh Prime Field Device. In CPEX and beyond, she becomes a more Data-like or Yuki Nagato-like "Robot Girl Classic" example, to contrast with Mu's "Accepted My Humanity" variant and Nu's "Psychotic Malfunction".
  38. Series.Eve 2015: Technically, Android Girl.
  39. Roleplay.ASM Cores: The female robots could be considered this. The spirit of this trope's often poked fun at, especially with Band (much to her chagrin)
  40. Fanon.Video Games: A relatively minor theory involving Excellen Browning: Because of her interactions with her female crewmates and friends, she is seen by the fandom as bisexual, given her teasing and flirtatiousness with both sexes; made more evident in the sequel during her scenes with Lamia Loveless. In fact, they take this further when monsters show up, some of them composed of Combat Tentacles. However, it's important to note she's only ever interested in getting the attention of her boyfriend, Kyosuke Nanbu, so this piece of Fanon is slight, and not hard evidenced enough. Still, many fan works would rather pair her up with other girls than guys.
  41. Film.Cherry 2000: Tomboy and Girly Girl: Action Girl E. Johnson and Robot Girl Cherry 2000, though they don't have enough shared screen time to count as a full version of the trope.
  42. HyperspaceArsenal.Video Games: Universe puts them to good use in one mission, where Ethan helps a Lou rescue another Lou who was injured. Rather than physically carry her double all the way back through a hostile area, Lou simply puts her into her nanotranser.
  43. Headscratchers. My Hime: Given that Robot Girl Miyu was designed by Joseph Glear (or however you spell his name) to act as a guardian and companion to Tyke Bomb Alyssa, why did he give her the appearance of being mongoloid? Generic Cuteness and Hair Colors makes it hard to be sure, but she and Midori seem to be the only main characters that have almond-shaped eyes. This may have something to do with the fact that she is as Rei Ayanami Expy with the serial numbers filed off. We'll, he did name her Miyu, and I believe the cover story is that she was his adopted daughter. So, he may have designed her outward appearance to fit in with the local populace of their target area.
  44. Series.Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger: What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Episodes 15 and 16 involve Sen bonding with a Robot Girl named Flora, who'd originally been meant to be the brain of an Alienizer weapon. Sen catches onto the fact that Flora's able to feel emotions like fear and advocates to have her treated like a human, teaching her how to smile and express herself. Unfortunately, Sen's teachings work too well, and she feels so much pain at the idea of the Dekarangers hurting themselves for her sake that she tries to pull a Heroic Sacrifice until Sen convinces her otherwise; eventually, SPD saves and recruits her, with their department analysts concluding she's "more human than humans".
  45. ShoutOut.Forward Peptuck: In the prologue, Wash comments on River's navigation skills, wondering out loud if she's actually a robot sent back from the future. Later on in "Silver," River is described as acting very cold and emotionless, and almost mechanical. In the second chapter of "Silver," River adopts an alias based on two other roles Summer Glau played after Firefly: Allison Doerner. Then in "Charity," after asking Zoe if she can be trusted, she tells her "Thank you for explaining." "I can extrude hair, but I can't retract it."
  46. Funny.Commander Kitty: CK seeing the word "abattoir" ("slaughterhouse") above the door to the room he's being led into by three attractive Robot Girls and thinking it means something completely different. "... Abbatoir..." *beat* "...rrOWrr..."
