Headcanons

Society's Downfall
This is the headcanon that links all the following headcanons to Miitopia. Long ago, the multiverse was doing its own thing, with the universes being separate from each other. Then, the Dark Lord not only stole everyone's faces, but scrambled all the characters from their universes and placed into different worlds. Some characters during the scrambling landed in the world of Miitopia, and one of them was the host of the Dark Lord. The rest made their own societies across Miitopia, hoping to take refuge from the Dark Lord.
Professor Membrane's kingdom
After Society's Downfall, the people who landed in Greenhorne decided who should be their king. Some options were Frankie Foster, Madame Foster, Liane Cartman, JFK, and Eminem.
  • Frankie wasn't chosen because she couldn't handle leading an entire kingdom, let alone Foster's Home.
  • Madame was way too old for the job
  • Liane was too much of a softie
  • Eminem was way too edgy
  • JFK was one of the two candidates left, but he wasn't as smart as Membrane was, so he was chosen as the mayor instead.
  • Therefore, Professor Membrane was chosen as king. Under his reign, the Wandering Gourmet fed him the best of foods. Unfortunately, Membrane's appetite got to him and he became fat.
Princess Kenny
Professor Membrane needed an heir to the throne. Dib didn't make the cut since he didn't believe in science as much as Membrane did, and Gaz didn't make the cut since she landed in a different universe entirely. So, Membrane put out advertisements promoting slots for the next king. Kenny applied because his family was poor and he wanted to provide for them, and Kyle applied because Kenny did. Cartman also applied, but he was rejected for being too much of a Jerkass.
Skyscraper spoilers: Vendetta's softness post-Dark Lord

  • Back in the Making Fiends universe (before the scramble), Vendetta created a fiend that transcends the multiverse and could take her anywhere. She had Marvin middle-manage Clamburg again, and Vendetta decided to wreak havoc upon Mitopia. She infiltrated a banana factory so she could find the weaknesses and exploit them. Suddenly, a spirit called out to her and you know the rest of the story from there.
  • Fast forward to when The gang defeated Dark Lord Vendetta. As Vendetta's face got rescued from the Dark Lord's body, she got bumped in the head somehow and forgot who she was pre-scrabmle. All she remembers is that she worked at a banana factory and got posessed by a dark lord.

I followed two cardinal rules when selecting my characters:
  • Playable characters are my choice, but must be as close to their source lookalike as possible.
  • All NPCs must be randomly generated. The sole exception is the Great Sage, which was my choice.

Lack-of notes on party members usually mean they're based on friends and OCs. However, when it's on NPCs, it's either Exactly What It Says on the Tin or me suffering from Popcultural Osmosis Failure.

Switch Version

Rules from the 3DS version still apply, but there is a slight tweak in the rules:
  • Due to the lack of a true Random generation, NPCs are randomly derived from Friends or public Access Keys.

  • The Heroes
    • Protagonist: Hikaru Hoshi, the Energetic Pop Star/Thief/Warrior/Tank/Vampire. The hero of the tale. A boy with goggles that sought for fame, but a wish to just be able to seen as a good somebody without the drama accusations haunting him brought him to the Miitopia world. And by extension, sent many otherworldly characters to the world as a result.
  • Greenhorne Arc:
    • Deuteragonist: Ryujin Hoshi, the Stubborn Chef. The sole companion of Hikaru's band of heroes hailing from the same world blessed with being one of the chosen. A dragon king of an underground city consisting of escaped test subjects, he was once The Kindnapper of Hikaru's, he became Happily Adopted into the family as Hikaru's big bro. Naturally, he wants to have the same fame Hikaru has to help let the people of his world know that they really have a place in the world.
    • Rena Lanford, the Kind Cleric. The first of the otherworldly heroes. One walk in the Sacred Forest led her to meet Claude, and from there she went on a cross-planet adventure. After her adventures in Expel and Nede, Rena winds up in the same shoes as Claude, finding herself in another world without anyone from her world. But given her experience from recent ventures, at least she won't be truly weak from the start.
    • Himiko Yumeno, the Laid-Back Mage. After a certain game, rather than joining the others, she winds up becoming an actual mage thanks to the powers of the chosen. While now laid-back that she can finally rest easy, it didn't mean for her that the adventure is over. While she was scared, she was assured by her new friends that the world of the now may be more fantasy, but it's still a real world to them and by extension her existence is the truth. She gets one last fictional adventure to tell her friends before truly departing back to reality.
  • Neksdor Arc:
    • Luke Fon Fabre, the Kind Warrior. The core nexus from his world, he was pulled into another world yet again. While it was just like the time when he was first sent to Tir Na Nog, none of the people in the world was anyone he knew except for Rena. Now finding small company in each other alongside new friends, Luke hopes this venture can help them return to the world of mirrors to finish their last fight.
    • Mad Rat, the Stubborn Cat. A dead rat that was revived by an entity claiming to be a god. After confronting the truth behind her and the last day that he made the most of coming to fruition, Mad Rat's soul came to in the world of Miitopia. Wanting an adventure to call his own while keeping hold of the memories of his heart, Mad Rat eagerly awaits to see what this adventure is like. This time putting his hatred of humans aside the whole way.
    • Makise Kurisu, the Cool Scientist. After her experience in time travel, Kurisu would wind up in a blink of an eye to another world in a non-lethal isekai fashion. While first thinking this was all an elaborate simulation, it took one bite of food to understand that the reality she was living in was not the same as the one she knows. Taking the chance to see the sights of this other world, Kurisu decides to join her newfound otherworldly friends and see where the road will take her.
  • Realm of the Fey Arc:
    • Gang Orca, the Stubborn Imp. One of the Pro Heroes in the hero business, Orca has always thought of the heroes seen in the fictional media in his world. As he was hand-picked out of all of the Pros in the business, he hopes to coach the rest of the chosen in their path as heroes and hopes that his influence helps straighten up in their duties.
    • Princess Syalis, the Laid-Back Princess. A kidnapped princess from a faraway kingdom ruled by a 'ruthless' demon king. Upon waking up as a chosen, she has long thought that the adventure is one elaborate dream. As the thought still persisted until awakening from her first night in this world, she decided to make the most of her sort of vacation from her captors by being the hero doing the saving instead.
    • Billie, the Kind Mage. Hailing from one of the more recent worlds discovered, Billie was called fairly late as a result of the recent discovery being the last of the party. While on her journey finding the gems in her world, Billie was pulled from her reality in the midst of her adventure unlike the others. While this is her first experience with people from other worlds, she hoped to make the best of this journey to help restore the faces of everyone in the multiverse.
