• Is there an in-universe reason for Josh to be there? Joe works at the present store, which is show both in the original and in this show to be easily accessible from the house via the living room picture frame. At least when Steve left, the reasoning was solid: he was going away to college and needed someone to look after the house and Blue.
  • Seemingly the only viable reason is that Joe is too busy working at the present store now to be a full-time human companion for Blue like he was before.
  • The Reboot shows that in addition to doing everything himself at the Present Store, Joe also runs a lemonade stand, is planning a store opening in New York and at the end of the year works wrapping gifts in Santa's Village, he even mentions being overwhelmed with all this work at least twice. Joe can't be with Blue because he has too many responsibilities at the same time.
• Is the show canon? It seems like a sequel instead of a reboot, but the teacher has turned into a hippo.
  • To be fair, we don't even know if it's the same character, they just share the same last name. In the original series itself, Mrs. Marigold had two different designs.
    • But they reset Turquoise and Periwinkle's introductions like they never were there.
    • The original turquoise is in Steve's office in "The Case of the Missing Thinking Chair". About Periwinkle, there are Orange Kitten and Purple Kangaroo lookalikes in his old neighborhood, with the same name, it doesn't seem impossible to think that Periwinkle is the same case.
    • More of not a One-Steve Limit but a One Turquoise or Periwinkle Limit because Steve is the only Steve.
    • What about the Shaker children's ages?
• What happened to Magenta's old glasses in between this and the original series?
