     Season 1
Meet Josh!
  • Steve and Joe teach Josh "To Play Blue's Clues".
    Joe: We find the last...
    Josh: ...Pawprint...
    Steve: You're getting this.
Josh: 'Cause that's the third clue. We put it in our notebook...
    Steve: 'Cause they're whose clues?
    Josh: Blue's Clues!
Steve: You know what to do!
    Josh: I do?

Blue's Big News

  • When Josh sees the picture of Shovel and Pail, he cries out of happiness and then randomly squees softly. It's completely unexpected and out of nowhere.

Happy Birthday Blue

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that Blue wants the color green in a tank with a shell as a hat.

Playdate with Magenta

  • Just like in the episode it's based on, Josh is the first clue. It's made even more funnier here, because he then proceeds to fanboy over it.
Josh: (gasps) I'm the clue... Okay... I— I'm the first clue! You know, I— I've always wanted to be a clue, and I've waited for so long, and now, finally, AH! It's here! (laughs) My dream is coming true!
    • Some fans have interpreted this as Joshua Dela Cruz squeeing over his own Ascended Fanboy status.
    • Josh spends most of the remainder of the episode excited about it; he also tries and fails to pretend with Mailbox that he isn't excited.
  • After receiving an e-mail in the Thinking Chair, Josh discovers that the third clue is his phone. Since we have all three clues, it's time for the Thinking Chair, but of course, he's already in it. He starts to get out of the Thinking Chair, then nuzzles it, realizing he's already in it, and off to the side, Blue giggles.

ABC's with Blue

Laugh with Blue

  • The Running Gag of Mr. Sock Puppet appearing to pull out a potato instead of the Handy Dandy Notebook.
  • Speaking of potatoes, Josh pulls one out of Sidetable Drawer before "To Play Blue's Clues", and he just runs with it.
Josh: Put it in our potato. 'Cause they're whose clues? Blue's Clues!
  • The episode opens with Josh having a shoe on his head. He asks if he made us laugh. Yes, Josh, you did.

Growing With Blue

  • Josh's constant substitution of the word "grow" in place of the word "go" and variants thereof.

Blue's Treasure Hunt

  • Josh singing "To Play Blue's Clues", "Mailtime", "We Are Looking for Blue's Clues", "We Just Got a Letter", "We Just Figured Out Blue's Clues" and "The So Long Song" in a pirate voice. The pirate-themed arrangements of the background music make it all the more better.
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is Shovel with a square hat full of sand.

Blue's Big Baking Show

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is a heart that wears glasses and a blue striped scarf.

Blue's Big Dance Party

Blue's Night Before Christmas

  • With Pawprint, Josh reads part of his poem, which includes the line "Blue puts a pawprint on the screen with such care..."

Blue's Big Costume Parade

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that Blue is going to dress a hammer in a vest, and put a hard hat on its head.

It's YOUR Birthday!

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that Blue wants to play music, and dance around a stop sign.

Spring is Here!

  • At the Thinking Rock, Josh's guess is that Blue wants to put eyes on all of the stars in the sky. He then dismisses it, stating that it would take too much glue.

Blue Makes a Movie With YOU!

Blue's Beach Bonanza

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that Blue wants to fill the shell with sand and look at it sideways.

Mystery of the Missing Pies

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that the blueberry pies went in a basket flying on some grass on a magic blanket.

     Season 3

Our New Neighbor!

  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is to decorate some friends while they sing some music.

  • During "To Play Blue's Clues", whenever Josh sings the parts where the viewers are supposed to respond with "clue," they shout "Boo!" instead, startling him every time.

  • At the Thinking Chair made of presents, Josh's guess is soap that gets so full of circles that it pops.

A Blue's Clues Festival of Lights

  • At Periwinkle's purply Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is a family of cat glasses.

Blue's Snowy Day Surprise

  • Josh asks the viewers to tell him and Blue the minute it starts snowing. Pretty much immediately after he says this, it starts snowing, so the viewers say "It's snowing!" As usual, he doesn't quite catch on to this, repeating to tell him the minute it starts snowing and waxing rhapsodic about how he wishes fluffy white snow would fall from the sky.
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh thinks a rectangular hill is falling down.

Blue's Dino Clues

  • At the very first Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that the egg will hatch into a dinosaur made of plants, like a Broccolisaurus.

Building with Blue

  • While with Sidetable Drawer, she notes that she's feeling wobbly today. This is because her left side is standing on a block unbeknownst to her. After Josh uses a level to confirm that Sidetable is indeed unleveled, she lets out an "Oh no!". Shazdeh Kapadia's delivery of this line makes it all the more hilarious.
  • "Blue and Magenta's Clues" makes a return, along with Josh trying so hard to make the lyrics flow.
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that Blue and Magenta want to put a window on a door so they can see a tree.

Blue's Backyard Sports Spectacular

  • The Running Gag of Josh mistakingly pulling other things that you blow in to instead of his whistle.

The Mailtime Mystery

  • Josh puts a stamp on Pawprint, and it speeds away.
    Josh: Wow! Express mail!
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh thinks the mystery letter is for a purple flag stuck in a box.

Magenta's Case of the Giggles

  • Sidetable gives Josh a medical bag containing things like bandages, an ice pack, and a hat shaped like a taco. She then states that the reason the hat is even there is "for fun".
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is that the mouth from the smiley face can grow big, and gobble up all the giggling noises.

Rainbow Puppy's Skidoo Adventure

Blue's Treasure of Clue Lagoon

  • Josh's reaction when Mailtime is announced at the start of the episode.
  • Rainbow Puppy finds a clue.
Josh: Rainbow Puppy! I am so proud of you! You found your first clue!
Rainbow Puppy: (laughs) Well, I had some help.
Josh: Oh, well join the club.
  • At the Lost Thinking Chair of Clue Lagoon, Josh's guess is that a cliff jumped over the water.

Tickety's Big Musical Morning

Something New at Blue's School

  • When looking at the school's new playground, Josh calls the merry-go-round "a spinny thing".

Sage and Ginger's Baby Book

  • In the episode's introduction, Josh asks the viewer to show his silliest face and then starts laughing happily, this is at least before Mr. Sock Puppet makes a sound without Josh controlling him, much to his surprise. After seeing that, all he can do is forcing a smile, and try to pretend it didn't happen.

Blue and Little Rainbow Riding Hood

  • Before finding the third clue, Josh tells the viewers that they have a nice singing voice. The viewers then spot the clue, and Josh mishears it as "you too". His response is "Thanks! Well, I've had years of training".

Joshini the Amazing

Into the Blueniverse

  • The entire episode is an Affectionate Parody of Star Trek.
Josh: Mission log: in order to go into the Blueniverse, we are going to need a rocket ship.
  • Blue acts as a robot throughout the episode, complete with Traci Paige Johnson throwing in some beeps in her dialogue.
  • Josh's reaction when Mailtime is announced in space. Josh even questions how Mailbox got there.

     Season 4
Blue's Wish Comes True!
  • Josh's wish is to be a tap dancer, which isn't funny by itself, but the way his wish is revealed by a thought bubble Imagine Spot where he dances with a goofy look on his face certainly is.
    • Afterwards he has two comically failed attempts at tap dancing, because his shoes are not suitable for the situation. Both of which are accompanied by off-key piano music.
  • To erase Pawprint, Josh blows on it like it's a dandelion and with a calm look calls it magical.
  • Rainbow Puppy's wish is to sing a song on Mars.
Rainbow Puppy: What can I say? I wish big!
  • During the episode Josh makes a few attempts to activate the wand and none of them work. Before the viewers finds the second clue he appears to be losing his patience with the wand.
  • When the viewers find the second clue, Josh is able to hear it, but has a little more trouble than usual finding the clue, first thinking it is in the kitchen closet and then becoming nervous because he has no idea where the clue is.
Josh: Oh Clue. No, not here. Where would it— I don't see anything... (Beat) Found it.

The Legend of the Jack O'Lantern

  • The episode begins with Josh failing to scare the viewers, and then planning to scare Blue. Unfortunately for him Blue is faster and successfully scares him just a few seconds later.
  • The Running Gag of Josh pulling out his Handy Dandy Notebook and the monster the notebook has become eating his increasingly smaller crayon. It's one of the few moments where he loses his temper, and it's hilarious to watch.
  • Josh and Blue, with the help of a sentient tractor, look for some farm animals that have escaped and are hiding. When Josh hears a spider decoration making a sound it shouldn't be making, it takes him a while to realize what's wrong.
Josh: Check out that spider. With its big eyes, and eight legs, and strangely adorable cheeping sound that spiders make.

Firefighter Blue to the Rescue!

  • At the beginning of the episode, Josh, after explaining what the house members' emergency plans are, asks the viewers where their safe spot is in case of an emergency but is interrupted by the fire alarm before he can finish his answer.
Josh: Oh. Well it's always good to be prepared for—(Alarm starts ringing) an emergency!
  • Later, it's revealed that the fire alarm went off because Mr. Salt burned a piece of toast.
  • How is Pawprint removed this time? Josh asks if it wants to be a firefighter helper with them and in response it becomes a fire truck leaving Josh alone and impressed.
  • Fire Chief Frankie is training Josh, Blue and the viewers to be firefighters with a simple explanation of what to do if firefighters are called, trusting that Josh will be able to pass the test. Immediately after training begins, Josh forgets what he's supposed to do.
  • At the end of the episode, Josh forgets about the "So Long Song" and just says goodbye bluntly, luckily Frankie is faster and reminds him to sing one more song.

Magenta's Thank You Day Surprise note

Knights of the Snack Table

  • Josh speaking in Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe throughout the episode.
  • Throughout the episode, Josh pulls out a kazoo shaped like a trumpet that he calls a "kazumpet". After all three clues are found, he plays "Race to the Thinking Chair" on it all the way to the Thinking Bench!
  • This exchange between Josh and Mrs. Pepper
Mrs. Pepper: Knights. I have a quest for you.
Josh: Huzzah! (Beat) What's a quest?

A Blue Christmas With You!

  • This exchange between Josh and Blitzen.
    Blitzen: Oh dear.
Josh: Oh dear! Oh. I mean reindeer.
  • In front of Pawprint, Josh imitates Santa's laugh, and without explanation, Pawprint becomes a reindeer and flies off-screen. Josh looks genuinely shocked and needs to take a second look.
  • Josh's reaction when Mailtime is announced at the North Pole.
    • Josh sings "Mailtime" to the tune of "Carol of the Bells".
  • After mailtime Josh and Blue are crossed by three of Santa's reindeer, Dasher who only repeats "Gotta dash", Dancer who just dances and ignores them, and Prancer who like the others is running from Comet, but still takes a time to politely greet our protagonists.
  • The third clue is found in Santa's sleigh. Instead of going to the Thinking Chair, Josh looks around, and secretly sits in the sleigh thinking Santa wouldn't mind.
  • In Santa's sleigh, Josh thinks Santa is making a four-legged snowman with a pillow for a head and a blanket for a cape.
  • Josh, who up to this point had been relatively composed, loses everything when Santa offers him and Blue a ride home.
    Josh: A ride… you mean on…
Santa: On the sleigh! (laughs) Let's go!
Josh: The sleigh! This is so exciting!

Night at the Blueseum

  • Paprika's art is a parody of the Venus de Milo statue made of food, whose explanation for being without arms is that after they fell, Paprika didn't bother to put it back together.
Paprika: I call it the Venus de My Lunch. (eats one of the arms)
  • To get rid of Pawprint, Josh has it jump onto a canvas, which creates an abstract painting called "Pawprint Picasso."
  • Mailbox's painting is a parody of Andy Warhol's "Marilyn Diptych" with an envelope. Mailbox warns Josh that it's "a little post modern".
  • At the Thinking Chair, Josh's guess is the that the thief is a blue notebook who rolled up the painting and used it as a guitar.

A Tale of Shovel & Pail

  • To erase Pawprint, Josh recites a poem that works like a spell intended to turn Pawprint into a kangaroo. Suffice to say, Josh didn't expect it to actually work.
Josh: Woah. It worked… (Beat) I mean... I totally meant to do that.
  • Paprika and Cinnamon try to help Josh convince Shovel and Pail to make up with a plate of waffles. Unfortunately Josh isn't exactly convincing.
Josh: Nothing like fresh waffles to bring siblings together. Am I right? We can put bananas on top, or strawberries, any toppings, really. Pickles?

A Blue-Ribbon Prize

  • To remove Pawprint, Josh decides to imitate a pig to "oink" it away. Surprisingly, Pawprint not only goes away but also turns into a pig.
  • While running Farmer Goat's Goodies, Josh gets to serve the Banjo Bunny Band, which he squees over the opportunity before regaining his composure.

Pearl's Kickball Championship

  • During the episode, whenever Josh holds the microphone, he starts acting like a sports announcer. The fact that it's at random times during the episode, even when he's not doing anything sports related just makes everything funnier.
  • This time Pawprint is removed with Josh doing a voiceover and acting like Pawprint is a kickball flying out of the field.
Josh: This Pawprint is going! It's going! Is gone!
  • To help some lost chicks, Josh, Pearl and Blue need to listen carefully to locate where each sports area is in the park. At the end of the first two attempts, Josh tries to be funny and fails in both of them, leaving Pearl and Blue being speechless by how lame the puns are, ending with them just ignoring him when he tries a post-joke hi-five.
Josh: (On the tennis count) Luckily, they were really making a racket.
Josh: (On the bowling green) And you here with time to spare.
    • While finding the third chick, Josh is more observant.
    Josh: Missing a basketball game?
Chick holding a basketball: Yes! How did you know?
    Pearl: Had a feeling.
  • Both Josh and Pearl are extremely happy to see the ice cream truck, so when the viewers point out the second clue, neither of them are able to hear it.
Pearl: Yes, I could go for a popsicle too.
  • The dialogue between Josh and the viewers when the third clue is found:
Josh: Whoa! The championship trophy! It's so bright and tall
    Viewers: There's a clue! A clue!
Josh: Yeah! It even has a clue in it (Beat) Wait! There's a clue on the ball!
  • When the viewers replace Periwinkle, who needed to use the bathroom, and needs to catch the ball, the ball kicked by Orange Kitten appears to be a few seconds away from hitting Josh if the viewers didn't think quickly.

The Case of the Missing Thinking Chair

  • During "To Play Blue's Clues", because the Thinking Chair is missing, Josh realizes this, and just sits on the floor.
Josh: Sit down on the floor in the spot where our Thinking Chair is supposed to be... But it isn't right now.
  • Turns out that Steve is a Clueless Detective, misplacing things like his keys, his notebook, and the crayon for said notebook.
  • It's easy to miss, but throughout the episode Josh can be seen trying (and failing) to imitate Steve's movements in an attempt to look like a detective. The most notable moment is when Steve mysteriously adjusts his overcoat and Josh tries to imitate him only to realize it is impossible as he is only wearing a shirt, looking quite confused before regaining his composure.
  • The email in the episode is sent by Steve who is using a Paper-Thin Disguise that is just him wearing Groucho Marx glasses. The funny thing? He is surprised that Josh can recognize him.
  • This episode reveals that there is more than one purple kangaroo and an orange kitten in the neighborhood, which are all named by their colors and species. Their nomenclature can have two explanations, all members with the same color have the same name or they have different names but their friends never really learned their names, both being funny in their own way.
  • On the floor where the Thinking Chair was, Steve's guess is that it's on the top of a tree growing inside a house made of grass.
  • In a mix between funny and heartwarming moments, during "I Missed You Guys", as Joe sings, Josh slowly starts to get into Joe's rhythm, while Steve just looks dazed the entire time, when Joe drops him onto Josh's lap in the Thinking Chair, for a second you can see that he's clearly trying to regain his composure.
  • The fact that the entire plot of the episode actually could have been ruined if Josh had just gone to the backyard like he planned at the beginning of the episode. Blue doesn't skidoo to Steve's detective agency because she needs Steve's help, she goes because she needs to distract Josh.
  • When you think about it, the fact that Joe and Blue somehow carried the Thinking Chair out into the backyard with such ease that Sidetable who was in the same place wasn't even able to notice them doing it is pretty funny and impressive.

The Big Blue Derby

  • Slippery's cousin, Slick, is basically a green recolor of him except with toothpaste, made to simulate a pompadour.
  • How is Pawprint removed this time? Josh gives the flag for it to start running and it marches off the screen. Josh reacts in surprise at how fast the pawprint is.
  • Josh misinterprets the viewers pointing out a clue on a wheel.
Josh: Vroom? Yeah! That's the sound race cars make! (proceeds to imitate a car)
  • Josh questions how Slippery managed to wreck his car and Slippery goes on a comically dramatic tirade.
Slippery: I tried to make my car go faster, but now... ooh... It is in pieces! Broken! Crumbled! Kaput!
    Josh: Kaput?
    • After that, Josh sings a song about how Slippery doesn't have to worry because he is here to help. The dialogue ends with this gem:
Josh: We can help fix your bubble bathtub blaster. (Beat) Uh, how are we gonna fix this?
    • Rainbow Puppy realizes they need help and comes over to show Josh how to fix a car. To demonstrate, she dismantles her already finished car and drags it to the place where Josh and Slippery are without the wheels.
  • After seeing Slippery sad, Josh determinedly declares that they need to find the other two clues to help him, only to be stopped by the second clue, the wind, which blows his cap away from him.
  • This is one of the few episodes without a Mailtime; instead, Mailbox announces the start of the race and Josh sings a variant named Racetime.
  • In the middle of the race they need to Skidoo to another dimension, and Slippery decides to imitate the phrase that the hosts declare before Skidoo, but yell in excitement before he can finish.
Slippery: Blue skidoo, we can— Woah!
  • When he finds the three clues, Josh doesn't seem too excited to go home to sit in the Thinking Chair. Then he looks back and sees that someone has put wheels on the Thinking Chair to come to him. His absolute shock at seeing the motorized chair is priceless.
    • When he comes to a conclusion, Blue, who is one of the competitors in the race, stops for a second just to confirm that he was right.

Blue's New Pet

  • During Mailtime, Josh realizes that he didn't see Mailbox voting, and Mailbox claims that he voted by mail, but doing the math wouldn't make sense. Whether this means that Mailbox voted null, voted for a third-party or that he lied to not participate in the discussion is up to the viewer's interpretation.
  • Silly Town is holding an election for mayor. The candidates are Billy Chicken, and Avocado. While Billy Chicken wins 6-5, a pig votes for a third-party: a jar of pickles.
Pig: I prefer his pickle policies.
  • After the "So-Long Song", another argument breaks out about whether to name the hamster "Lemon" or "Buttercup".
Josh: Blue, get the ballots. Looks like we're gonna have another vote.

The Wizard of Skidoo

  • At the beginning of the episode Josh is describing the book they were about to read, until he realizes that he is babbling and suggests that they should just read the book. Immediately after he opens it, Blue skidoos in the book.
  • In case it wasn't obvious from the episode's title, Josh makes it painfully clear what the episode is a parody of the second they enter Skidooland.
Josh: Blue, we are definitely not in the living room anymore.
  • Upon entering Skidooland, Josh and Blue are greeted by a cheerful chorus of living sock puppets, and immediately begin singing together happily, that is, until the sock puppets accidentally imply that they would stay there.
Josh: We're so happy we can— (Beat) Woah. No, we came to Skidooland for a visit, and after we gotta skidoo back home, see? (skidoo frame immediately disappears) Oh... It's not supposed to do that...
    • Afterwards, Josh tries to get some information from the sock puppets about some way to get home, asking if they can walk, bike, or if there is a bus, receiving no response.
  • Josh wonders how they are going to get home, and then he and Blue start to hear a familiar musical theme in the background, then Rainbow Puppy appears without explanation and disappears just as quickly, much to Josh's chagrin.
Rainbow Puppy: Good luck! Here, have a basket!
Josh: Thanks, uh, but I... (Rainbow Puppy flies away) Wait, wait! I still have a lot of questions— She's gone.
  • At the end of "To Play Blue's Clues" Josh is quickly replaced by Blue Sock Puppet, who unconsciously is carrying a clue in his eyes.
Josh: Sock Puppet! The clue is eyes!
Blue Sock Puppet: Oh, I see. Well, sort of.
  • When the red Sock Puppet mentions the Wizard of Skidoo, Josh follows her and ends up finding several puppets jumping from different parts of the screen while exclaiming the name of the episode's titular wizard. Nothing seems to bother Josh and Blue until he repeats "Wizard of Skidoo" and a sock puppet comes out of one of the tiles below him without saying anything just agreeing, which clearly disturbs him for a moment.
  • On the way to Spice City Josh meets three friends who need help, here he reminds us that his problem solving skills are questionable at best, but hey, at least they rhyme this time.
    • With Pearl:
Pearl: I want to grow a flower, but there's one little thing I need. I dug a hole in the soil but I really need a...
    Josh: Bead!
    • With "Tinbox":
Mailbox: If I find what I'm missing, I'm sure feel better. 'Cause I'm empty inside, I really need a...
Josh: Sweater... Oh no, that can't be it.
    • With Periwinkle:
Periwinkle: If I find the sound that I'm missing, I wouldn't need anything more. But I'm not sure how to make It, I need to learn how to...
    Josh: Snore...
  • As the Wizard of Skidoo, Steve emphasizes how "Cool and Awesome" he is with an ambiguously accented voice and an arrogant look in his eyes, only to drop the act in a matter of seconds and go back to acting like his normal self.
  • Because Steve's skidoo frames are empty, he laments that he shouldn't be called the Wizard of Skidoo, rather "The Wizard of Skidon't".
  • The third clue is "think". Rainbow Puppy somehow put a clue in Steve's thought bubble, which is also completely empty.

Josh's Crummy Day

  • The episode's plot is that Josh is having a bad day. As you can expect, he becomes a Chew Toy all throughout.
    • When he got out of bed that morning, he stubbed his toe on Blue's bed, causing him to fall over... all the way to the other side of his bed.
    • When combing his hair, a strand keeps sticking up. It continued to do this at the start of the episode, and again at the Thinking Chair.
    • In the kitchen, he slips on the floor. It's implied he fell on his elbow, as he starts the episode holding an ice pack.
    • While trying to talk to Pawprint, a thunderstorm starts outside, startling it away, much to Josh's disappointment.
    • During "To Play Blue's Clues", he fails to catch his guitar.
    • Outside with Shovel and Pail, he nearly steps in a mud puddle, almost bumps his head on a tree branch, and comes close to slipping on a Banana Peel until Shovel and Pail stop him all three times. Josh thanks the viewers for looking out for him, and says he really needs to watch his step... only to immediately step right in the aforementioned mud puddle.
  • When the viewers finds the second clue, Josh as usual misunderstands them saying "Clue", thinking they are talking about his mud-stained shoe, although it's quick, you can feel his implicit anger in how he responds to them.
Josh: Oh— yeah, That. Is one. Muddy. Shoe
  • The whole concept of Bad Day CafĂ©, a parody of Nighthawks with a quirk, everything you want is out.
  • The answer to Blue's Clues? Pretend it's morning again. How do they do it you ask? Josh and Blue pretend to rewind like you would do with a video.

Josh and Blue's Ice Cream Shoppe

  • Josh announces the opening of their ice cream stand, only for no one to be around. Cue a tumbleweed rolling past the stand.
  • At the Thinking Cherry, Josh's guess is that everyone took a sandy boat on the water to see the world's largest flip-flops.
  • Josh's reaction when Mailtime is announced at the beach, and after the game of Blue's Clues.

Return of the Thinking Squad

The Silly Smelly Smellnote

  • After Mrs. Pepper explains her method of how to find out if cookies are perfect, she, Blue and Josh try to smell them to evaluate, and are immediately bombarded by the titular smelly smell. At first they try to ignore it, and turns his focus to the cookies, but the smell becomes so strong that they just move away from the cookies because they don't want to smell anything else.
  • When Josh announces that the smelly smell is coming from inside the house, the camera focuses on the faces of Mrs. Pepper, Blue and finally his own while they are screaming in fear.
  • Josh doesn't do anything to remove Pawprint; the smell gets so bad for a moment that he and Pawprint just mutually agree to walk away.
  • When Josh finds the first clue, a door, Josh calls it "A-doorable", and you can see in his face that even he can tell how terrible and forced that pun was.
  • Before entering the laundry room to find out what is so smelly there, Josh stops for a second and looks at the viewers and holds his breath knowing that the smell would be horrible there.
  • Twice during the episode Josh thinks they've finally gotten rid of the source of the smelly smell, first in the dirty laundry and then in with the scraps of food. With both cases ending with him celebrating that they had finally solved their problem, only to be revealed that the smell had returned stronger.

  • Josh and Miranda meet an alebrije shaped like a pig, who's sad because alebrijes usually have two animal traits, and she only has one. Miranda asks the pig if there's an animal trait she wishes she had, and says that she always wanted to fly. Sure enough, the pig fuses with a butterfly-shaped alebrije, and takes off in flight.
