Funny / The Autobiography of Jane Eyre

  • Episode 2: Jane is snarky and mocks John Reed, her cousin.
Jane: How could this [wrecking his own car] happen to the cautious student body president that we all know and love?
John Reed: (in his facebook comments) Tht Tree cam outt a No Where!!!!!
  • In episode 3, Jane tries calm herself down, though it doesn't really work.
Jane: I am trying to have nice thoughts... works for people who are serious about yoga.
  • Episode 4 has a very peculiar one: The Shout-Out aspect with a reference to The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and the problem with framing. Several commentators recalled Lizzie's similar problem and her sister's comment in lines of "never mind, the Internet is going to appreciate the close-ups of your boobs".
  • Episode 6: Grace Poole is clearly The Fundamentalist. Her religion is Anti-Glutenism.
  • All of Grace Poole in episode 6.
Grace: Are you having... a moment ?
Grace: It slowly breaks you emotionally, and then all at once, and you start talking to walls. And you think you're in England. Trust me, I'VE BEEN THERE TOO. I've done it, Adele has done it, we have all been there.
  • Episode 7: The Latina maid is a fun character and cool Plucky Comic Relief. Her lines were untranslated at first; but her facial expressions and body language was hilarious even if you don't understand Spanish. But consider this:
The maid: (sees Jane dancing who is not noticing her) Oh, no! Not again! "Ms. Beyonce"! "Ms. Jay-Z!" Even Beyoncé knows how to pick up her things and wash laundry! Oh move! Move! That's why Rochester brought you. Professor my butt! (at the camera) This is turned on! I... I don't want to know! I don't want to know.
  • "Got a twitter account today... Don't quite know how that works... #don'tknowhowhashtagswork"
  • Jane's embarrassed (but adorable) Buffy Speak when trying to speak about technology. You know, the boxy thingy that is down there...
  • Episode 8: "I know what you think: Wait, this chick can't even work her computer, are you telling me she does photography ? Well, an imaginary audience member, it's not a nice thing to say !" Errr...
  • Episode 10: Jane's Tempting Fate wasn't as subtle as the series usually is. Her Oh, Crap! is just wonderful.
  • In episode "Cleaning Houses", Jane starts cleaning her room and gathers lots of empty cups. Tea lovers and messy people would know the situation...
  • The whole situation when Susanna and the other maid pretend they don't understand English, and Grace tries the translation-by-volume approach. The way they make fun of her and how stressed she is is also hilarious.
Grace: [extremely intensely] Excuse me! What are you doing? I told you not to clean the nanny's room. I specifically told you to inform me if the nanny had failed to do so and I would deal with it accordingly. Just... please collect the laundry like I instructed.
    Susanna: ¿Qué?
    Grace: NO-o... cleeaan-ing. O'Key? Por favor?
Maid: [trying to be deadpan] No hablo español.
Grace: [angrily] Well then you know what I mean.
  • The Thornfield Exports party:
    • At the rebranding event, Warren tries to make sure that Gracie P is having fun and tastes her drink, expecting wine or cocktail... "It's coffee!"
    • Rochester mercilessly trolling the guests.
"This is your life line. It's very short. Well, isn't that awkward?"
  • Jane's nightmare about being served the wrong kind of tea. While naked.
  • "...or forever." "Happy Rainbow Baking Show With Joanna and Jane !" "I am pretty sure rainbows exit ! "
  • The indigogo incentive was hilarious. Grace goes insane, Jane and Rochester get drunk, Susana starts revealing everyone's embarassing secrets... and Pilot goes around with a routine that is not so different from usual.
