Funny / Code Geass: Paladins of Voltron

Go To

As is the case with all pages detailing Funny Moments, Spoilers Off

  • The first chapter has Milly complaining about Lelouch's somewhat lacking physical abilities and telling him that he shouldn't skip gym class so much. Lelouch actually gets quite defensive over this.
  • When Rivalz gets at the controls of the Blue Lion, he starts flying like crazy, with poor Kallen, who is a pilot herself, screaming at him about his piloting skills.
  • Unbeknownst to Rivalz and the rest of the student council, the lake where they found the Blue Lion was near a Britannian Research base, which Cornelia was conveniently visiting at the time. Her reaction, along with the unlucky Britannian soldier near her is just priceless.
Cornelia: What in King George’s name is that?!
Britannian Soldier: It appears to be a flying lion-like Knightmare, Viceroy.
Cornelia: I can see that you fool!
  • Lloyd's reaction to seeing the Blue Lion is... interesting, to say the least.
    • Then, when he first beholds Voltron in all his glory, it makes the previous reaction seem tame.
  • At the party on Arus, Milly is the one who ends up knocked out from drinking the Nunvill. Laser-Guided Karma at its finest.
  • After dealing with the Yalex and getting the pearl, when Team Voltron returns to get Coran and find out that it was all part of a training mission, Kallen decides to kick Coran "where the sun doesn't shine." And as further punishment, Lelouch has Allura chases the advisor around the castle.
  • In a bit of Mood Whiplash, when Kallen is talking to Lelouch about how he threw her off when she first asked if he was at Shinjuku (while the former was showering), C.C. asks if he 'enjoyed the view.' Lelouch is reduced to sputtering, while Kallen makes plans to kick the Code Bearer after they get out of this mess.
  • After the feast with the Merpeople, Suzaku, Milly, and Rivalz go to sleep. The funny part is that Milly and Rivalz end up sleeping together (though in full uniform since they're underwater), with Milly smiling and drooling a little bit.
  • When Lelouch mentions that his father has more than one hundred consorts, Shirley let's out a shocked squawk, while Coran asks if this is normal on Earth. Pretty much everyone let's out a Big "NO!", though C.C. amends this and states it depends on culture, while Milly notes that it also comes down to personal preference. Lelouch hastily returns everyone's attention to the briefing at hand while sounding very uncomfortable.
  • After Kallen saves the Black Knights, she greets them with a Cheshire Cat Grin. Given that the previous scene had it looking as though she had been subjected to a Boom, Headshot! by a Britannian, it's rather funny in context.
  • What is the first thing that C.C. does when she returns to earth? Borrow a pod and fill it to the brim with pizza.
    • C.C. then guards her pizza stash like a dragon guarding treasure. Tamaki learned this the hard way when he was nearly sent to the healing pod for trying to take a slice.
  • Everyone claiming that it's space dust that's making them cry when Nunnally emerges from the cryo-pod with her legs working and sight restored. Even Coran, with tears streaming down his face and snot coming from his nose.
  • When Lelouch compliments the Altean Mice as valuable Team Voltron members, they stand up on their hind legs and puff out their chests like superheroes.
  • Nunnally's react to seeing Zen up close for the first time? To tilt her head and go "Nya." It's adorable.
  • Shirley brought Arthur to the Castle of Lions... forgetting for a moment about the mice already there. Hijinks ensue and Suzaku gets bitten again.
  • When Lelouch says Nunnally can go to the Balmera, everyone looks at him like he's grown a second head... until he says that Sayoko's going too.
  • Euphemia and Suzaku share a rather tender moment together before the SAZ....until Rai reminds them he is still in the room. The narration notes that he is smiling.
  • Lelouch still can't get over how weird it is that Rai is his brother.
  • Lloyd pouting over not getting to see Rakshata' notes on crystal powered Knightmares.
  • When the Paladins are having trouble fighting the Mao Robeast, Rivalz wonders if its main function is learning, comparing it to the Omnidroid.
  • Milly's grandfather apparently joked to his colleagues that one of her ideas or schemes would one day bring about the end of the world, only for the Galra to invade. Milly, a bit uneasily, points out that the Galra were already on their way whether or not they had found the Blue Lion or not.
  • When Lelouch reveals that he doesn't really have a plan for strengthening his connection with Zen, a baffled Rai asks who he is and what he's done with Lelouch.
  • When Lelouch realizes that Zen was just projecting images to him, while they hadn't actually physically moved at all, he notes that it feels like she'd be laughing out loud if she was a normal person, and calls her out on being a Troll. When he tells the others that apparently Zen has a taste for theatrics, Milly smirks knowingly, saying that she can't imagine where she gets it from.
  • A couple from "Greening the Cube"
    • We get The Reveal that Lloyd is (or rather was) an Earl and is technically still engaged to Milly. Both scenes were hilarious enough in canon, but here, it gets even funnier when Lelouch uses "the powers invested in me as a Britannian Prince and the Black Paladin" to declare them husband and wife. Most of the Paladins laugh their asses off, while Shirley and Milly blush, while Rivalz comedically despairs. When Lelouch then uses those same "powers" to declare the couple divorced, Rivalz passes out in relief while Milly ends up pouting over the whole thing. All the while, Lloyd is clearly amused by what happened.
    • Once Lloyd and Rakshata get their hands on the Olkari headbands, they immediately begin competing with each other in using them to mass produce the Lancelot and Guren MKII respectively from the same tree pods that the Olkari use to build weapons.
