Blazbuild Climax Fighters is a crossover between BlazBlue and Kamen Rider Build written by Seanzilla1988 alongside GammaTron and Kamen Rider ZER0, which merges the settings of both series, as well as the roles of several characters.

Blazbuild Climax Fighters contains examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: Ryuga's proficiency in combat is played up more, managing to analyse the attack patterns and fighting styles in his foes movements within minutes of observing them. He also displays more overt instances of enhanced abilities, managing to join Ragna in tearing through small armies of Guardian robots even before he obtains the Dragon Fullbottle.
  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • Part of Sento's reason for believing Ryuga is innocent is that he continues to insist that he was framed rather than shift to another, more plausible lie. He also dismisses the idea of him feigning his emotional distress about the whole thing, bringing up his fixing of his last match was so transparent, it's what got him banned from competing, showing incredibly poor acting skills.
    • Sento confirms to Kokonoe that purified Fullbottles can be used to grant the person holding them superhuman abilities with little to no side effects. He demonstrates with the Rabbit bottle giving him Super-Speed and enhanced hearing.
    • During a talk with Makoto, Ryuga reveals that he met Kasumi in the hospital after getting injured in one of his matches. He also elaborates on his childhood, having been rather small before getting a growth spurt, and spent several years in foster care after his parents died.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Ragna's willingness to kill or severely injure NOL operatives on his rampages is something that varies from portrayal to portrayal in canon. Here, he makes it clear to Ryuga that they are to avoid killing as much as they possibly can.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Not that Sento wasn't plenty smart in canon, but here it's taken up another notch, having managed install all sorts of expansions and booby traps into his lab, including a gym and extra space for the others to sleep. He also displays his tactical side more consistently, managing to come up with several plans to work around the NOL and help clear Ryuga's name.
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Sento's Insufferable Genius traits are played up a lot more, and he's much more willing to mess with and prank his friends (particularly Ragna and Ryuga) for his own amusement.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Ryuga's selfish attitude and moments are toned down compared to canon, and his arguments with the others usually come down to annoyance with Sento and poor phrasing.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: The Black Beast emerged from the Skywall in this continuity, making it connected to Pandora's Box by extension.
  • Bash Brothers: Ryuga eagerly joins Ragna in smashing NOL bases and the various Mooks inside upon the latters offer.
  • Birds of a Feather: To everyone's horror, Sento and Kajun immediately hit it off owing to a shared love of science, the occasional disregard for their friends consent and taking joy in messing with them.
  • Cassandra Truth: Ragna apparently told Sento about his prior encounters with Rachel, Taokaka, and Carl Clover, but with the exception of the last one, the genius doesn't believe him. After encountering the Kaka clan member, he sincerely apologises and promises him a free favour in the future.
  • Commonality Connection: Ragna and Ryuga start getting along almost immediately over a shared love of fighting, contempt for the NOL, and annoyance at Sento's Insufferable Genius tendencies.
  • Composite Character: Noel takes Misora's role as the one who purifies Fullbottles, and was found by Isurugi.
  • The Dreaded: Makoto's mother is this to the group, since apparently one meeting with her was enough to convince Sento not to go through with his original threat of turning her into an actual squirrel. Best summed up when they point out to Ryuga that they consider the woman scarier than her daughter, who can punch someone into orbit.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Whenever Makoto is questioned on why she wears such a Stripperific combat outfit, she insists it helps her move faster. After learning about her affiliation with Kokonoe, Ryuga of all people questions why she doesn't simply request said genius design her an outfit that performs just as well without being so revealing, which she (and Sento) concedes is a good idea.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Night Rogue turns several civilians into Smash during his fight with Hakumen, and taunts the hero about how he'll get through them. He's shocked when Hakumen simply cuts them all down, and has to be physically dragged away by Blood Stalk.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Apparently even at his worst, Jin protested Faust mutating Kasumi to get to Ryuga. He also mentions trying to dissuade Katsuragi Takumi from his fixation on offing Ryuga, especially since the latter hadn't done anything.
  • Failed Attempt at Drama: Blood Stalks introduction to the heroes has him making a grand entrance and proclaiming his name... which is undermined by everyone mispronouncing it. Subverted when he manages to catch Builds Finishing Move with little difficulty, and easily escape, establishing himself as a very real threat.
  • Food as Bribe: Sento gets Ryuga and Ragna to go along with some of his tests by offering them protein with a banana and tentama udon respectively.
  • Hidden Depths: After falling into Arakune's lair, Ryuga compares it to the lair of Beelzebub, surprising Sento that he'd know classical literature reference.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: Build manages to escape from Jin by using the Vacuum armour to absorb his opponents ice, and cover his barricade with it, preventing the Major from pursuing him.
  • If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her...: Makoto gives her usual threat to Sento regarding Noel, causing him to ask if she means this in a romantic and/or sexual manner. She clarifies any sort of harm upon her friend will incur her wrath.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When Isurugi gets on Sento and Ragna' cases to try and get jobs to pay rent, the latter irritably points out he's a wanted criminal, so he legally can't.
  • Lethal Chef: As per usual, Noel, to the point that Ragna and the others keep stashes of food hidden around the cafe and lab so they have something to eat, just in case.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: A lot of people note the bickering between Ryuga and Makoto gives off this impression, with several strangers mistaking them for a couple. This actually rather annoys Ryuga, who is still mourning Kasumi.
  • Mistaken for Gay: If Gentoku's comment is to be believed, quite a few people at the NOL believe this about Hazama.
  • Mundane Utility: Sento uses the Diamond Fullbottle and the powers it gives him to provide the cafe residents with a source of money in the form of the diamonds it creates.
  • Not So Stoic: Relius is just as irritated by Blood Stalks insanity and antics as the other members of Faust, showing visible annoyance when he taunts a captive Arakune and happiness when Night Rogue assigns him to a different base.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
    • Sento comes up with a solid plan to help Ryuga using Nabeshima as a lead. Using a device he made, the can track his phone after calling it once, after which they can track his movements back to Faust. Ryuga demanding he clear his name, and promising to rescue his family in exchange complicates matters, especially since said family lives across the Skywall, making them near impossible to reach, and as everyone else points out, this will tip Faust off to their intentions, meaning even if they do reach there, there will definitely be a trap waiting for them.
    • Ragna rushes in to face Hakumen when he hears the latter has been spotted, providing a distraction for Blood Stalk and Night Rogue to escape the Implacable Man.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: Ragna's initial response to Sento bringing Ryuga back to the cafe to live with them. He only relents when Sento points out he's the one covering the reapers rent.
  • Noodle Incident:
    • When seeing Makoto attempting to be inconspicuous wit Noel, Gentoku accosts them and warns they don't need a repeat of the company beach trip, which apparently involved Makoto organizing a battle of the sexes.
    • Apparently last April Fool's day, Isurugi bought an actual coffin as part of a prank on Ragna.
    • During his first encounter with Bang, Sento claims he is a prince from another dimension sent here to fight for justice. While Bang is annoyed Build thinks he's so gullible, the Kamen Rider mentions several people have fallen for it before.
  • Open Mouth, Insert Foot: Ryuga has a nasty tendency to say the wrong thing to the wrong person, or phrase innocent things in a rather tactless manner. Makoto lampshades it.
  • Pass the Popcorn: When Makoto is giving her usual If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her... spiel regarding Noel towards Sento, Ryuga watches while drinking a soda, amused by the exchange.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Build gives one to Jin in the first chapter, calling him out on how despite condemning Ryuga as a murderer, he's perfectly willing to kill the potentially innocent man on the orders of his superiors without a shred of remorse.
  • Red Baron:
    • Lampshaded by Ryuga, who calls Tagers nickname 'Red Devil of Sector Seven' to be badass. Makoto agrees.
    • Later, he is happy to hear he himself has the moniker of 'Raging Dragon Ryuga'.
  • Running Gag:
    • People questioning Makoto's combat outfit upon seeing it for the first time.
    • Someone always interrupts Sento in the recap when he goes to start the next chapter.
    • Makoto's guesses for Fullbottle Best Matches somehow always being accurate.
  • The Scapegoat: Sento is rather quick to blame things going wrong on Ragna, something the latter lampshades.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here:
    • Played for Laughs with Isurugi, who wisely decides to vacate the building whenever the groups shenanigans get too crazy.
    • Upon the group encountering Platinum, Ragna gives the group money and leaves immediately, not wanting to deal with Luna.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Ryuga remarks that Makoto isn't his type, and when she complains, he clarifies his type is 'Kasumi'. Even after his girlfriend dies, he dismisses the idea of moving on, and reacts poorly whenever anyone suggests he would make a good couple with someone else (usually Makoto).
  • Smarter Than You Look: Ragna is routinely insulted for his lack of forethought and is generally on the same wavelength as Ryuga. Despite this, he has proven to be quite perceptive when it comes to people and tactics, independently following Sento's line of thought about what happened to Katsuragi (when an intelligence operative like Makoto failed to do so), outlining why attacking a Faust base is unlikely to accomplish anything when Ryuga suggests doing so, and not only quickly discerning Utsumi wants to make a deal rather than arrest him, but ensures they both have plausible deniability for their meeting.
  • Spit Take: Ryuga's response after Sento bluntly asks if Makoto's threats regarding Noels wellbeing are if they have a sexual relationship, shocked that he'd say it so bluntly.
  • Stealth Hi/Bye: Makoto manages to pull these off on Sento and Ryuga in the first few chapters.
  • Underestimating Badassery:
    • Night Rogue feels that Hakumen could threaten his plans in Kagatsuchi, so goes to try and 'eliminate' him. The result is a complete Curb-Stomp Battle, and he barely escapes with his life even with help from Blood Stalk.
    • Apparently this applies to how he considers the Six Heroes in general, outright telling Phantom she's nothing more than a pawn in his schemes. She quickly shows why this is a bad idea.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Sento's reaction when he finds out that Litchi's meat buns, which Tao asked for his help getting in exchange for his stuff back, are actually free.
