Aroma Kurosu

Voiced by: Yui Makino

Aroma is a young, idealistic girl representing the dark half of her original unit, Aromageddon. With her short temper she leads with manipulation and charm to get her way- although not too many people buy it. Deep down she is actually very shy. A cool-type Idol who originally used Holic Trick Classic until she created Love DEVI.

General tropes

• Berserk Button: Aroma's reaction to finding Mikan accepting food from someone else was to denounce her as a friend. She gets better after learning the true reason behind the gesture.
• Biblical Motifs: Devil
• Butt-Monkey
• Chuunibyou: She thinks she's a devil.
• The Corrupter: Tried to be this when she first appeared to convince each member in Dressing Pafe and Solami Smile to drop their unit to join her own.
• Creepy Blue Eyes: While the coloring is average, the way they are drawn borders on this.
• Esoteric Motifs: She often uses pentacles, has a tarot colection, uses her handbook to recite verses (she wrote 666 books). Also her cyalume coord have a witch hat.
• Good Angel, Bad Angel: The bad to Mikan's good.
• Hair-Trigger Temper: Gets mad fairly often.
• Large Ham
• Meaningful Name:
  • The first part of her last name "Kuro" means Black. She is often represented by black and other dark colors.
  • Her name, Aroma, is related to the sense of Smell. Both the color and sense naming was thematic with season 2.
• Odd Friendship: This appears to be the case with Mikan, an "angel".
  • This could also count towards their youth, when Mikan was very energetic and Aroma was withdrawn and shy.
• Punny Name: "Kurosu" aside of containing "Kuro" on it, sounds just like "cross", a common element in her coords.
• Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Has the image, but not the personality.
• Significant Birth Date: Born in june 6 at 6 (666)
• Tempting Apple: Invokes this when trying to convince Laala to join Aromageddon. Also in "Reversible Ring" performance she gives one to Mikan.
• Toxic Friend Influence: Comes off this way to those she wants to manipulate, but this trait is toned down early on in Season 2.
• Tsundere: Mainly towards Mikan, but at times towards those who show her kindness.
• Verbal Tic: Often adds "Devi" to her sentences.
• Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's very scared of snakes

As an elementary student

• Bratty Half-Pint: Gives this impression, due to her lack of respect for authoritative figures. She also acts demanding and arrogant.
• Non-Uniform Uniform: She wears the standard uniform, but with a purple shawl with hot pink bat wings and devil tails.
  • In Avocado Academy she also wears black socks with grade B Zettai Ryouiki.
• Shrinking Violet: Revealed to have been this in the past. She began to act like a devil in order to gain confidence.

As an idol

• Evil Wears Black: Almost all of her coords feature black, if not themed on it.
• Elegant Gothic Lolita: Most of the Holic Trick Classic coords have this element. As does her spin off brand.
• Older Alter Ego: Like Laala, Mikan, Non, and Chili, she appears to be a Middle School student as an Idol.

Mikan Shirotama

Voiced by: Yui Watanabe

A well-meaning but easily manipulated angel who joins Aroma in their original unit Aromageddon. Mikan is friendly, but somewhat dense and easily motivated with the promise of food. She is a lovely-type Idol and uses the brand Silky Heart.

General tropes

• Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: It's hard to keep her focus on anything unless it involves food or Aroma.
• Balloon Belly: From eating too much chocolate in episode 82. She went back to normal when she made a live.
• Big Eater: Loves nikuman and sweets, and is often manipulated this way. This also extends to other foods.
• Biblical Motifs: Angel
• Blind Obedience: She follows Aroma because of their friendship, no questions asked. She also agreed to become an Angelic Idol so that she could remain by Aroma's side.
• Chuunibyou: She thinks she's an angel
• The Corrupter: A much softer example than Aroma. She helped her try to convince almost everyone in Dressing Pafe and Solami Smile to drop their unit to join their own.
  • She was also the one who helped Aroma find her devil personality, although it was only to help her with their class play and to be more confident with herself.
• Cuddle Bug: To Aroma.
• The Ditz
• Edible Theme Naming: Mikan means tangerine or mandarin orange.
• Fearless Fool: Unless it involves snakes.
• Genki Girl
• Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Comments that she was more tomboyish when she was younger, and is sort of a Passionate Sports Girl.
• Good Angel, Bad Angel: The good to Aroma's bad.
• Meaningful Name:
  • The first part of her last name "Shiro" means White, contrasting the "Kuro" of Aroma's last name.
  • Her name, Mikan, means "tangerine", while the "Mi" can also mean "to see", representing the sense of sight.
• Miss Exposition: She often translates Aroma's archaic way of speaking.
• Odd Friendship: With Aroma, a "devil".
  • This was also apparent during their youth, with Mikan being energetic and Aroma withdrawn and distant.
• Significant Birth Date: Born in october 4 ^note  a pun of 10 (ten) 4 (shi in japanese) wich means tenshi (angel)
• Third-Person Person
• Tomboyish Ponytail: Since childhood Mikan wore her hair in a ponytail, although it was much shorter. In a flashback, Mikan described herself as being an energetic tomboy.
  • Used to Be a Tomboy: According to herself. She appears to have become more feminine to fit her angel persona.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Nikuman (meat buns)
• Verbal Tic: Often adds "Jeru" or "Nano" to her sentences.
• Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's very brave, but is afraid of snakes

As an elementary student

• Non-Uniform Uniform: She wears the standard uniform, but with angel wings in the ribbon.
  • In Avocado Academy she wears angel wings in the back and don't wear the tie.

As an idol

• Feather Motif: To fit her angelic theme, her outfits normally include wings or feathery features.
• Older Alter Ego: Like Laala, Aroma, Non, and Chili, she appears to be aged up to that of a Middle School student as an Idol.

Gaaruru

Voiced by: Asami Sanada

Gaaruru was one of the several Mini-Falulus and one that Falulu was close to. She was highly temperamental and grouchy until it was discovered to be because of the spiny bug she swallowed sometime prior to meeting everyone. Eventually she desired to become an Idol and gained a form matching Falulu's, but at times she reverts back into Mini form. While Falulu represents the dream of girls pursuing top Idol at all costs, Gaaruru is said to represent failed Idols or girls unable to make it. She is a Lovely-type and uses the same brand as Falulu, Marionette Mu. When performing as Gaarmageddon she uses Love DEVI at times.

• Anime Hair: As a Mini-Falulu she had very simplified pigtails. But after changing form she gained Falulu's thick curling drills separated into three sections on each side.
• Cute Little Fangs
• Determinator: Highly stubborn when it comes to her goals. Despite her failure of a first performance she kept getting back up each time she fell and continued until finishing the performance. It was because of her determination that Mirei resumed her own Idoling.
• The Klutz: Only during her first performance, as she had not gotten used to her new form yet.
• Massive Numbered Siblings: 99 Mini-Falulu sisters.
• Meaningful Name: "Gaa" is the sound of growling. At first, she was unable to properly talk and could only growl after swallowing a spiny bug. Later, it relates to her desire to become a "monster idol".
• Ojou Ringlets
• Pair the Spares: In terms of units. She needed two members, Aroma and Mikan needed one, so they became a (temporary) unofficial unit.
• Palette Swap: If not wearing Falulu's original pink dress, she is often found in the red recolor of it.
• Pimped-Out Dress: Many Marionette Mu coords are this.
• Token Non-Human
• Took a Level in Kindness: After coughing up the spiny bug, the cause of her hostilities and bad attitude. While she may not be the nicest Idol in the series, she is a real sweetie to those she likes.
