Gloria Ookanda

Voiced by: Urara Takano

The headmistress of Paprika Private Academy. Gloria despised PriPara after an incident from the past and she initially plotted to keep the students from the school going by confiscating their Tickets. After seeing the error of her ways and learning the truth, Gloria re-enters PriPara with Himeka to resume her Idol career during spare time. Originally used Marionette Mu, but as an adult uses Dreaming Girl.

• Affably Evil: She is a regular customer at Laala's pizza restaurant and and appears to have a good relationship with her parents, which makes things worse for Laala.
• Anime Hair: Her drill hair which is almost as big as herself. It also acts as her Idiot Hair.
  • This even applies to her past self. Outside of PriPara she wore a thick braided side-tail with a cowlick. In PriPara in her "Sugar" persona, she has a short bob curling inward with matching pieces of hair surrounding her bangs.
• Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Can be momentarily, but easily distracted from her quest to hunt down PriTickets with the smell of pizza and even thinking about pizza can provide enough of a distraction for Laala to run away from her.
• Berserk Button: Doesn't like the word "friend" being said in front of her.
• Dean Bitterman: Originally hated PriPara and the concept of having friends.
• Determinator: So much so that even though she assigns the disciplinary committee to confiscate idol-related items, she herself does it most of the time.
• Extreme Doormat: As intimidating as she is, she can be easily outwitted by an elementary schooler. Also, pizzas and food served from Laala's restaurant are her weakness.
• Heel–Face Turn: After reconciling with Himeka she lets go of her grudge and allows everyone to go into PriPara without having to tiptoe around her. She is even granted permission to go inside again and resumes her own Idol career with Himeka and helps with training regimen.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Himeka. She took her "betrayal" very hard and because of grew up hating Friendship, Idols, and PriPara.
• I Call It "Vera": Names her PriTicket-sucking vacuum gun Rina. She even treats as a girl.
• Implacable Woman: Once she senses a PriPara ticket, there is no stopping her from getting it.
• Large Ham: Every time her PriPara huntress mode is on, this is at its full effect.
• Noblewoman's Laugh
• The Nose Knows: Uses her nose to detect PriTickets while sounding like a pig. Though it is not always accurate.
• Purple Is the New Black
• Shrinking Violet: Very delicate and reserved when she was younger, with Sugar bordering on The Cutie.
• Simple, yet Opulent: Has a purple royal/regal outfit. As a young Idol she wore the regal themed Marionette Mu.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Pizza and any food that she eats from Laala's pizza parlor.
• Well-Intentioned Extremist: She roams around her school in search of anyone who holds any PriTickets and anything involving PriPara. Sometimes she hunts down students outside the school premises and invades Laala's house and room without her consent.
  • The well intention part comes in when it was revealed her grudge was because she was abandoned by her only friend when she was younger. It's possible that deep down she didn't want other girls to feel the way she did, although this isn't touched upon.

Himeka Manaka

Voiced by: Rei Sakuma

The mother of Laala and Non Manaka and a prior Idol with Gloria until they were separated. She is stern, but kind and understanding and supports her family. After rekindling their friendship she resumes going into PriPara as an adult with Gloria, where they keep check on Idols, perform, or give them advice. Originally she used Baby Monster, but as an adult she switched to Dreaming Girl.

• Anime Hair: As an adult in PriPara her bun is let loose into two thick drills on her shoulders that stick out slightly.
• Genki Girl: When she was younger.
• Girlish Pigtails: When she was younger she had thick pigtails outside of PriPara adorned with a fruit wedge hair clip and wore hair baubles.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Gloria
• Idiot Hair: A crescent-shape just like her daughter on the left of her head. As she got older it grew smaller.
• Older Alter Ego: Only when she was younger in PriPara.
• Poor Communication Kills: She and Gloria didn't put much thought into their plans to meet up outside of PriPara, and because of their altered identities it was even harder. Eventually they both just gave up when they believed they were stood up by the other girl.
  • This led to The Reveal several years later after Gloria managed to confiscate several PriTickets and her bitter behavior reached an all-time high.
• Tomboy and Girly Girl: During her younger years she wore punkish attire as an Idol in comparison to the gentle Marionette Mu using Gloria.

Nao Ehime

Voiced by: Yoshino Nanjo

Laala's best friend and Idol enthusiast, her Pri Ticket was taken by Gloria early on in the series but was given back to her after Gloria changed her ways. Nao is implied to be a Pop-type Idol.

• Animal Motif: Toyed with. She really likes a popular Kappa character in the series and was originally given a brand based on them until she complained about the attire.
• Anime Hair: In PriPara her hair grows into very long curled pigtails.
• Ascended Fangirl: For Laala.
• Birthday Buddies: With Laala.
• The Confidant: For Lala when she finds out her idol secret.
• Go Mad from the Revelation: She doesn't take it too well when Laala confesses her Idol secret. Considering that Nao's PriTicket was taken by Gloria and she was the one who dreamed of becoming an Idol, this is justified. Fortunately, she reconciles with Laala and apologizes for getting carried away.
• Muggle Best Friend: At start when she couldn't go to PriPara. Got subverted latter when she finally get her PriTicket back, she never got a solo live but she does get one with Laala in the third movie.
• Nice Girl
• Secret-Keeper: During part of the first season, she kept Laala's identity as an idol a secret.
• True Blue Femininity: She wears a blue dress in PriPara.
