Protagonists
Kyle Silverstar
- Always Save the Girl: One of Kyle's motivations to go defeat Lougseus is so he can save Theria's life.
- Big Eater: We can see Kyle eating as much as Rei does, with the latter being a large beast. It seems like it's a Shared Family Quirks, since in Megius' lore it is stablished that both him and Kynei, his wife, also had ferasome appetites.
- BFS: Both his OG sword and hi shift form sword (Kagutsuchi) are really, really big.
- Dark Is Not Evil: He is the main protagonist and wears black clothes.
- Family of Choice: Alongside Rei and Davan. As for arc 2, Kyle has stated that he's searching for his family while refering to Rei. As for Davan, in Kyle's unit lore it is stablished that he is like a father to him.
- In the Blood:
- In dreams, Adel (Kyle's ancestor) tells Kyle that he reminds him a lot of himself.
- Megeus' overworld sprite has black hair, just like Kyle's overworld sprite. Kyle and his dad also share the same weapon type (swords).
- I Will Find You: When Theria decides to go to Adam alongside her bother Ruuto, Kyle can't go after her immediately, but swears that he will find her when he gets there with the rest of the group.
- One-Man Army: Shown multiple times, specially at the end of arc one and through the entire runtime of arc 2.
- Post-Victory Collapse: Kyle tends to collapse after fighting against a powerful opponent.
- Really Royalty Reveal: Eliza reveals that only those in the royal family carry Adel's blood. Since Kyle is a descendant of Adel, he must be connected to the royal family as well.
- Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: In the Kagutsuchi ark lore, we learn that the sword Kyle uses in his Knight Lord form was made by an otherworldy flame/fire God named Kagutsuchi, who forged the blade as proof of his existance putting his power inside it before being consumed by his own power. Therefore, it is heavily implied that Kagutsuchi is sealed inside Kyle.
- Unhand Them, Villain!: Kyle tells Lily to let Theria go when he goes to rescue her.
Theria
- Anguished Declaration of Love: Towards Kyle before his disappearance in the end of Act One.
- Damsel in Distress: She's captured by Lily in chapter 1 of arc 1 and then rescued by Kyle & co.
- Exposed to the Elements: She is shown travelling across the snowland of Lanzelia while Kyle makes comments about how little she's wearing for the occasion.
- I Will Find You: When Kyle gets transported to Cloudia at the end of arc 1, Theria swears that she'll find him.
- White Magician Girl: When she joins the party, she starts out with some healing spells.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's shown to have a dislike of bugs.
Rei
- Beast Man: He resembles a white humanoid tiger with horns and a wing.
- Big Eater: Rei is always talking about food, and in several cutscenes, he's seen eating lots of food and even stealing some of his companion's food portion (especially Kyle's).
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Rei is revealed to be one of Lougeus's divine beasts. Upon entering Adan, he's brainwashed by him. He's brought back to normal Thanks to Kyle (and Theria).
- Exposed to the Elements: Inverted when he travels in both the Dara Dessert and the Mordana Mainland where he gets too hot due to his fur.
- Put on a Prison Bus: One of the driving plots in Arc 2 is that Rei has been imprissioned in Penal Island Panthorbane.
Lilebette
- Choice of Two Weapons: Swordmangineer Lilebette carries a crossbow and a sword.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: She gains longer hair in her shift form. While her Christmas attire shows her with a similar hairstyle to the one she had before her shift, that is only for the front. She still has her longer hair in the back.
- Healer Signs On Early: Lilebette is available by default and has the basic healing spell.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She's shown to be afraid of bugs.
Zekus Forgate
- An Ice Person: He has ice as one of his powers.
- Chick Magnet: Shown through almost the entirety of arc 1, with all the girls inside the capital going after him.
- The Reveal: In the first part of chapter 2 in arc 2, it is revealed that Zekus comes from a vilage called St.Palm, wich is located in Lilahammer, Divine Cage, a world wich was cut off by Goddess Lilaha. It's also revealed that the Forgate family had a lot to do with the creation of the Conjury Gate.
Leona
- Unprovoked Pervert Payback: Justified with Ardine in Chapter 2 of Arc 2, since he checks his body in search for wounds with clear second intentions of looking at her body up close.
Ardine
- Choice of Two Weapons: He uses a gun and a sword.
- Eating the Eye Candy: Both in story and in one of the summer events, Ardine is known for staring at Leona's body up close.
- Gut Feeling: In his introduction video, he mentions having a "good feeling" about all of this. When he meets Kyle, he immediately trusts in him, and in the control tower, he can feel something's off just before he (and Kyle) get ambushed.
- The Charmer: He's known for his taste in women, specially Leona, offering advise to Kyle on how to conquer a lady in chapter one of arc two.
Barcello
- Gold-Colored Superiority: Via a subquest, in Godforge Alchemy you can craft a helmet that makes Barcello's armor gold. In said subquest, Barcello mentions that the golden armor is lighter and makes him feel stronger.
- Honorary True Companion : When he was first introduced, the next couple of updates featured him alongside the main hero squad in the events, making many believe he would eventually join them. However, this is no longer the case. In the story, he left and came back twice due to personal believes. Currently, he's gone his own way and who knows if he'll come back.
- 24-Hour Armor: He's never been seen without his armor.
Antagonists
Lougseus
- Bad Boss: According to the lore for the Sandwyrm ark, he did not try to intervene when his followers were caught up in a fight against a creature he brought to life for his amusement.
- Big Bad: He's the first arc's main antagonist.
- For the Evulz: According to a description on the Crystal Castle Ark, Lougseus was believed to have brought a crystal to Granzelia to prompt a war of greed for its amusement.
- Killed Off for Real: He's finally slain at the end of Act One.
- One-Winged Angel: Inverted since his second phase form is a downgraded version of his phase one form.
Zouglas
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Zouglas is revealed to be Theria's brother Ruuto who was placed under a mind-control curse by Lougseus to follow the evil god's will. Theria then proceeds to bring him back using her powers.
- Hero Killer: Deals a mortal wound to Kyle while still brainwashed. It doesn't last Thanks to his sister's healing.
Lily
- Eyes Always Shut: True for her unit and sprite art. It is rare to see her with her eyes open.
- Mad Scientist: She kidnapped Theria and wanted to kill her in order to re-seal Lougseus. Knowing that Theria could get rescued, she created a clone of Theria to replace the original.
- One-Winged Angel: After Rei unlocks his shift, Lily transforms into her true form.
- Power Gives You Wings: Her true form.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: When she laughs, her eyes turn red.
- Villain Team-Up: Tsukasa teams up with her in the Dr. STONE crossover campaign Tsukasa Shishio's Challenge to take out several monsters in hopes of getting back to his home world. He doesn't trust her, however, which is something she picks up. The distrust comes to a head when she unleashes monsters on two children.
Mayly
- Angelic Abomination: Maylymare, who still has a female humanoid body...but she's not even human.
- Ax-Crazy: We see her killing soldiers merely for not answering her quick enough or not giving her the answer she wanted to hear.
- Evil Laugh: When she laughs, her eyes turn red.
- People Puppets: Mayly controls Barcello's body to shoot Leona.
Galbor
- Bad Boss: The first thing that happened when he summoned the Galboran DX was the machine charging into his platoon of men, sending them all falling off the fortress.
- Casanova Wannabe: Galbor is always seen flirting with ladies to no avail.
- 24-Hour Armor: He's never been seen without his armor.
Janine
- Bad Boss: She threatens to kill Barcello for his incompetence.
- 24-Hour Armor: She's never been seen without his armor.
D'Dii
- Navel-Deep Neckline: Her dress is strapless bares a portion of her skin from her cleavage to her navel.
- White Hair, Black Heart: Is white haired and had no issues using poison to eliminate the rebellion.
Supporting Characters
Dilmordo
- Beast Man: He resembles a humanoid wolf.
- Red Is Heroic: Dilmordo has red fur and is one of the supporting heroes.
Lukiel
- Bare Midriffs Are Feminine: After a hooded man takes her power away, Lukiel's new attire shows off her midriff, in addition to her having bare hands and feet. Her profile also has her described with female pronouns as opposed to ones that were neutral.
- Combat Stilettos: Shes wielded eight flying swords, had a set of high heels as part of her attire. She loses them and goes barefoot after her master's powers get taken away from her.
- Exposed to the Elements: She can travel through snowy areas with her sleeveless biketard-like attire. Later, in one such area, after having her master's powers taken away, her new attire consists of a two-piece dress that exposes her midriff, replaces her gloves with detached sleeves, and discards her footwear completely.
- Fanservice Pack: After losing her master's powers, Lukiel goes from wearing a one-piece attire with gloves and boots to a dress that bares her midriff, hands, and feet.
- Flying Weapon: Lukiel usually wields her weapons this way. In her default form, she makes use of the eight swords surrounding her. In her guardian angel form, while she can hold her staff at times, she is also able to wield it the same way she has her swords.
- Magical Barefooter: One of the differences in Lukiel's guardian angel form is that she has exposed feet in association with her new powers.
- Winged Humanoid: Lukiel has wings as part of her angel-like appearance. In her normal form, she has four. After her master's power gets liberated from her, she goes from having four to six wings.
Phal
- Combat Stilettos: She uses a crossbow and wears a set of knee-length boots with these as part of her attire.
- Ms. Fanservice: She is a fairly busty young woman with a narrow black top that bares her midriff and a pair of short yellow shorts.
Alice
- Androids Are People, Too: Her character ard as Cyberslayer Alice. Alice's shift form being named just "Alice" symbolizes her becoming more like an actual human with feelings and a mind of her own.
Lilah
- Impossibly-Low Neckline: Princess Lilah wears her dress by having it plunge beneath her shoulders.
Maddine
- Breast Expansion: Not shown in game, but by the time Maddine dons her pirate getup, her bust size gets increased from 80cm to 81cm according to her profile.
Roland
- Expository Hairstyle Change: In his shift form, Roland has longer hair. This hair style change could symbolize his change from a foe on Arc 1 to an ally on Arc 2.
Lanceveil
- Female Gaze: Lanceveil's shift removes his armor out of him, exposing his fine body to the audience.
Eliza
- Male Gaze: Eliza's shift wears less clothing in her shift, exposing her assets.
- Navel Window: Both in her OG and shift versions, her top doesn't leave much to the imagination.
Graphel
- Underboobs: Her top is small enough to show the lower half of her cleavage.
