Nick Doyle

"Yeah, I'm nervous. I'm trying my best here, but what's important is if it's good enough."
Occupation: Law Student
Age: 22
Hometown: Newcastle, NSW, AU

  • The Alliance: At one point in the season, Nick made an alliance with Larissa and Tyson. However, nothing really came of this.
  • Bash Brothers: With Skylor, as the two got along well compared to everyone else.
  • Expy: To Season 22's and All-Star's Ewan. Both were chubby chefs (although this only applied to Ewan's appearance in All-Stars) who were relatively cordial towards their team, and even formed an odd friendship with a chef who had a bad attitude.
  • Fat Idiot: Downplayed and subverted. Nick was a little on the chubby side, but that made him the largest chef of the season compared to everyone else. Additionally, he actually pretty strong in the kitchen, and eventually went on to win the season.
  • The Generic Guy: Compared to the rest of the colorful blue team, Nick didn't really stand out that much. This was likely due to him wanting to remain professional.
  • The Leader: Became this during the first Black Jacket service. After Marge and Phillip crashed, he ended up taking control of the kitchen.
  • Odd Friendship: With Skylor.
  • The One Guy: Ended up as the sole male chef remaining after Philip's elimination.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Despite being a law student, Nick was a very strong chef in the kitchen, and even gained the first black jacket and eventually went on to win the season.
Placement: Winner
Nick's Winner Comment - "Holy shit, I won! I came in here with not much experience, I did this for my family, but I didn't expect to win! It's an awesome feeling. I just know my Nan is proud of me, it feels great."
Ramsay's Winner Comment - “"April and Nick were both worthy finalists, but tonight, Nick showed me more leadership. That is why he will be the new executive chef with a salary of 500 grand, and the winner of this season of Hell's Kitchen. Au revoir, and to a new season!”

April Princeton

"I won't let someone play with my safety."
Occupation: Executive Chef
Age: 27
Hometown: San Diego, CA

  • Actually Pretty Funny: She admitted that while she found Skylor arguing with Marge during service was unnecessary, it was also amusing to her.
  • Deadpan Snarker: While not to the extent of someone like Isaiah or Saige, she has her moments.
  • Dramatic Irony: After her strong fish signature dish, Ramsay made the decision to put her on the fish station that night. However, she would struggle horribly on it to the extent she was easily the worst performer on the red team that night. She was only lucky that Bob was worse, otherwise she would've gone home.
  • Epic Fail: Scored 0/4 on the blind taste test.
  • Graceful Loser: Like many runner-ups, she took her loss well, saying that while it sucks she lost, she felt Nick deserved it.
  • Pet the Dog: After winning the final tasting challenge, April would select Isaiah as her second pick over chefs such as Marge and Lee. She even would state that he was underestimated despite being a solid performer.
  • Took a Level in Badass: At the start of the season, while she had a strong signature dish, she nearly tanked the first service. After that however, she would start to get better in service, and even made it to the finals.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: At the start of the season, April was easily one of the most arrogant and bitchiest chefs. However, after a couple of failures and bonding with her team, she started to mellow out quite a bit.
  • What Were You Thinking?: April had this reaction when Philip allowed his team to go on the reward while he was the only one to do the punishment.
Placement: 2nd
April's Runner-up Comment - "Losing the prize sucks but getting this far was a dream. I never thought a would have actually made the final two, it's an incredible feeling. Nick I'm so happy for you, you deserve it."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Margaret "Marge" Miller

"I’m gonna work harder than anyone else on this challenge as I didn’t score."
Occupation: Sous Chef
Age: 35
Hometown: Malibu, CA

  • Alliterative Name: Marge Miller.
  • Captain Obvious: Several of Marge's confessionals come off as just simply pointing out the obvious.
  • Cool Old Lady: Downplayed example since she's 35, but she was still one of the strongest chefs of the season.
  • Epic Fail: Her first service in the Black Jackets saw her mess up a lot on the apps station, sending up a bunch of bad dishes and having communication problems on top. She was just lucky that Philip had an even worse performance, otherwise she would've gone.
  • The Generic Girl: Mainly confined to her Confession Cam moments, but relating to how much her moments were spent pointing out the obvious in a blunt matter, this had the effect of making her come off as pretty generic.
  • Graceful Loser: She took her elimination well, admitting Nick and April were stronger chefs and saying she was proud of how far she came.
  • Heroic BSoD: During her pass performance, she had a hard time managing to catch sabotages and even managed to mistake venison for veal. However, it was after her turn at the pass where her BSOD kicked in, where her pass performance clearly rattled her enough to start communicating out of sync. This would ultimately cost her a spot in the finale.
  • Hidden Depths: She revealed at one point that she has a husband of British descent.
  • Honor Before Reason: Marge pointing out how well Philip did in the Blind Taste Test and said he should use his punishment pass.
  • Jerkass to One: While Marge was relatively nice for the most part, the only chef she constantly put down was Ashley. Granted that was mostly the same with everyone, due to how poorly Ashley did.
  • Older Than They Look: Marge looks like she could be in her mid 20's, but she's actually 35.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name is Margaret, but she was only called Marge during the season.
  • Power Trio: With Saige and Philip.
  • The Rival: To Skylor once they reached the Black Jackets. Skylor viewed Marge as her biggest competition, and Marge disliked her attitude.
  • The Worf Effect: Zig-Zagged. Around the final eight, Marge started to make more and more mistakes, even managing to be nominated once before the black jackets, and once during black jackets. However, the first time was a non-elimination episode, and the second time she was lucky Philip was worse. She managed to bounce back during the final five however, having the best performance out of everyone. Unfortunately, it happened once more during the pass performance, where she failed to identify several sabotages, which lead to her having a frazzled mind and ultimately cost her the competition.
Placement: 3rd
Marge's Elimination Comment - "I am so proud of everything I achieved. I had big praises from one of the best chefs in the world, I tried my hardest throughout and while I sometimes made mistakes, I always bounced back. Tonight, there was two stronger leaders than me and they deserve their spot in the finale. I'm going to take this experience and I will grow from it."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Skylor Chen

"Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge!"
Occupation: Noodle Shop Owner
Age: 21
Hometown: New York, NY

  • Asian Rudeness: She's of Singaporean descent, and massive Jerkass towards Marge.
  • Bash Brothers: With Nick once Tyson was eliminated. She even stated that she could count on Nick.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Had her fair share of this, although it wasn't as much as Isaiah or Saige.
  • Dramatic Irony: In the final eight, she had the strongest performance on the red team's charity night, being named the Best of the Worst. In the final four however when it came to running the pass, she absolutely flopped.
  • Epic Fail: Her portions challenge dish only got a measly one vote.
    • There was also her pass performance. While it wasn't as bad as Elise's, she failed to correctly identify any sabotages.
  • Jerkass: Skylor took a lot of joy in harassing Marge for very little reason.
  • Odd Friendship: With Nick.
  • Pet the Dog: While a bit unpleasant, one of the nicer things she did was allow Nick to take the duck that she was hoping to grab.
  • The Rival: She served as this to Marge, as she viewed Marge as her biggest competition.
  • Stealth Insult: This moment in relation to Marge.
April: Marge doesn't look eight-eight, right?
    Skylor: Could've fooled me.
  • Took a Level in Badass: After having a rather few middling performances in the final nine and first part of the final eight, she emerged as the strongest chef on the losing red team during charity night, being named the Best of the Worst for her efforts.
  • With Friends Like These...: Skylor and Tyson had a very...tumultuous friendship. One minute they could be the best of friends, and the next they were at each other's throats.
Placement: 4th
Skylor's Elimination Comment - "TBA"
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Leanna "Lee" Blue

"When a teammate is struggling, positive reinforcement helps."
Occupation: Executive Chef
Age: 29
Hometown: Shawnee, OK

  • All-Loving Hero: Lee was a very pleasant chef to everyone throughout the season, even towards chefs that was pretty much disliked like Ashley or Isaiah.
  • Can't Catch Up: Essentially the reason for her elimination. While she was a strong chef, Lee never really established herself as a major threat in the competition, and never really reached the same heights that chefs like April and Marge did.
  • Graceful Loser: She took her elimination extremely well, saying that while she was disappointed that she failed before the finals, she would always remember the friends she made and the cooking she did.
  • Nice Girl: Lee was easily one of the nicest chefs of the season, and the nicest chef on the red team. She never really badmouthed everyone at all, even when they were annoying.
  • Only Friend: In a way, she was this to Ashley, being the only chef on the red team to never really talk bad about her, and even was sad she quit.
    • Additionally come the top eight, she was this to Isaiah, being the only one in the top eight aside from Marge to never put him down.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name is Leanna, but she went by Lee during the show.
  • Out of Focus: Despite making it all the way to the final five, Lee never really got any real focus. This ultimately would be her Fatal Flaw, as despite her being a strong chef, the others easily outclassed her in the kitchen when it came to having their presence known.
  • Spear Counterpart: To Season 21's Jake. Both were friendly chefs who got along with everyone. Not only that, but both would also place fifth, and one of the main reasons for that was because that while they were good, they were not as strong as the others.
  • Took a Level in Badass: After a while of not really standing out all that much, Lee, along with Nick, would be massive players in helping complete the first black jacket service after Marge and Philip were kicked out.
Placement: 5th
Lee's Elimination Comment - "I am disappointed that left before the semifinals, but I did get pretty far. And I'll always remember the memories of my friends and cooking so many different styles for prestige chefs. So, I'm glad I competed, and I hope Marge or Skylor wins!"
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Lee made several strong strides in her time in Hell's Kitchen. Unfortunately, while she is good, everyone else's skills outclassed her, and I had no choice but to Lee-ve her behind."

Philip Anderson

"We can't just force someone off their section like that. It's not our kitchen, it's Chef Ramsay's."
Occupation: Private Chef
Age: 25
Hometown: Hawthorne, NV

  • The Ace: Philip was usually an extremely strong chef in both services and challenges, with him having very few, if any mistakes.
    • Averted once entering the final seven, as he started slipping up more in the kitchen. Not only that, Phillip was close to being eliminated in the Black Jacket Challenge due to his dishes not being better than other chefs.
  • Affectionate Nickname: He was commonly called "Prince" by April quite a bit.
  • Captain Obvious: His response to when Ramsay called him out for undercooked fries?
    Philip: Not drained enough chef.
  • The Determinator: He tried very hard to fight back from his mistakes during his final service. Unfortunately for him, this was all for naught, as he would continue to struggle and end up being eliminated that night.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: (In-Universe) Phillip was very well liked by not only his fellow teammates, but the other team as well. It's even to the extent that April had nothing bad to say about him.
  • Epic Fail: Oh lord his final service, where he undercooked French fries so many times that not only did it put the kitchen in a rut, but it all but secured his elimination that night despite being up for the first time.
  • Fatal Flaw: Philip was a very strong chef throughout the season, but his biggest flaw was that whenever he made a mistake, he had a real hard time bouncing back. This would spell disaster for him in the final six, and eventually result in his elimination.
  • Hidden Depths: During the portions challenge, he mentioned that he had Caribbean heritage.
  • Honor Before Reason: The main quote above.
    • There was also his decision to let his teammates go on the reward while he stayed behind, despite him doing the best in the challenge. This was due to him not wanting to anger his team.
    • Not only that, but there's also his decision to choose Marge to join him on the reward after winning the first Black Jacket challenge, as Marge was the runner-up.
  • Jerkass to One: While Philip was nice to everyone, the only chef he had a bit of a problem with was Isaiah, due to him bad-mouthing his friend Saige during her elimination.
  • The Load: Philip ended up as this on Nick's team during the finale, sending up numerous undercooked and raw steaks. It was a blessing in disguise however, as his mistakes prompted Nick to be more vocal with his team and even switch him out with Larissa, a move that pretty much sealed him the victory.
  • Nervous Wreck: Was this in his final service, where his frazzled nerves resulted in him crashing on the garnish station.
  • Nice Guy: Out of everyone, Philip was easily the nicest chef of the season. It was even to the extent he never really got into arguments with Mac. This was eventually deconstructed, as his overall friendly nature and desire to not anger anyone was what led to him staying behind on a reward while everyone else had fun.
  • The One Guy: Eventually becomes this once every other remaining blue team chef is switched to the red team, leaving him as the sole blue male chef.
  • Power Trio: With Marge and Saige.
  • The Worf Effect: Throughout the season, Philip was easily the odds on favorite to win due to his exceptional cooking skills and likable personality. However, in his final two services, he came off the rails hard, resulting in him placing sixth.
Placement: 6th
Philip's Elimination Comment - "TBA"
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Philip was a chef I thought was going to go all the way to the end. However, he may be a nice guy, I wasn't feeling so nice after seeing his performance tonight."

Isaiah Lewis

"Well, once again I gotta swoop in and try to save the day."
Occupation: Sous Chef
Age: 26
Hometown: Atlanta, GA

  • Butt-Monkey: If his five punishments in a row didn't speak for themselves.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Might rival Saige for the snarkiest competitor of the season.
  • Cosmic Plaything: Isaiah was a consistent strong link in challenges, but he would often be forced to do punishments due to his teammates being a weak link. Even more, he didn't even make black jackets.
  • Epic Fail: His final night on garnish, where he messed up to such an extent that if it wasn't for the Black Jacket Challenge, he likely would've been booted out earlier. That being said...
  • Flat "What": Pretty much his reaction to Ashley's signature dish.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Relatively downplayed example, since Lee and Marge seem to be okay with him, but Isaiah was relatively well liked at the start, but after he made the mistake of bad-mouthing Saige at her elimination, pretty much the entire team turned on him.
  • The Generic Guy: Outside of his random dislike of Saige and numerous amounts of punishments, he didn't really stand out that much throughout the competition.
  • Graceful Loser: Despite taking a relatively mild level in jerkass, Isaiah took his elimination very well. He admitted that while he was disappointed, he found Hell's Kitchen to be an amazing journey.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Isaiah had a right to be rather upset and snarky, as he was put through five punishments in a row.
  • Let No Crisis Go to Waste: Isaiah had no problem being on the blue team after Philip used his punishment pass on him, saying he liked them more than the red team.
  • Sanity Slippage: At the start of the season, Isaiah was rather level-headed. However, with the number of punishments he had to do, he slowly started to get more and more snippy.
  • The Scapegoat: Isaiah nearly became this during the final eight charity service, where he ended up being blamed for raw filets by Tyson, who was supposed to check them, and immediately blamed Isaiah despite it not being confirmed that Isaiah cooked them.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Mild example. Isaiah started out pretty amicable, if a bit snarky. However, come the final nine, he randomly gained a hatred towards Saige that came off as completely out of nowhere.
  • Two First Names: Isaiah Lewis.
Placement: 7th
Isaiah's Elimination Comment - "This was not how I was expecting to go out in Hell's Kitchen. A little disappointed, I promised my family that I would go really far and make it to black jackets and I failed. But Hell’s Kitchen has been an amazing journey and even though I’m standing here a loser I’m also standing here a winner since I literally got to work with Chef Ramsay. How cool is that?"
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Tyson Apostol

"Max, we're supposed to be stronger without Jared you clown."
Occupation: Survivor Competitor
Age: 43
Hometown: Mesa, AZ

  • Deadpan Snarker: Retained this from his time on Survivor.
  • Epic Fail: His charity night service, where he failed to check the filets several times, resulting in them being raw and essentially guaranteeing his elimination.
  • Failed a Spot Check: During charity night, he failed to notice the raw filets twice. Once when Ramsay pointed it out, and the second when it was returned from the dining room. This all but cemented his elimination.
  • Jerkass: Tyson constantly bad-mouthed his fellow chefs, even ones he had somewhat friendships with.
  • The Load: Tyson was easily the weakest chef on April's team, messing up numerous times on the apps station. Unfortunately for April, her reluctance to address this problem would be what cost her the finale.
  • Never My Fault: After one of his courses were revealed to have contained raw filets, Tyson immediately tried to blame Isaiah. This of course was ignoring the fact that it wasn't confirmed that Isaiah was even the one that brought them up, but Tyson should've checked it in the first place.
  • Sore Loser: He did not take his elimination well, blaming Isaiah for his elimination and thinking that him staying was a mistake.
  • Tempting Fate: During one of the challenges, Tyson would call Lee's dishes special, unlike herself. However, this would also be the night that Tyson had an awful charity night, and got eliminated for it.
  • With Friends Like These...: Skylor and Tyson had a very...tumultuous friendship. One minute they could be the best of friends, and the next they were at each other's throats.
Placement: 8th
Tyson's Elimination Comment - "I'm absolutely pissed that Isaiah is still there and I'm not. I know that I didn't perform the best, but he was the one who cooked the filets. I think Ramsay made the wrong decision, but you know what, screw it. They'll see what a mistake they made keeping him around, and I'm sure he'll be heading home real soon."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "When it comes to charity night, you must be able to manage not only your course, but your team as well. Tyson showed me that his leadership tonight was shallow at best."

Saige Madison

"How do you cook halibut expertly in Signature Dish yet send up halibut sushi during service?!"
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 31
Hometown: Trenton, NJ

  • Bash Brothers: With Marge. The two were very strong links together in their teams.
  • Born Lucky: Played straight then subverted. Around the sixth episode, Saige started to struggle more and more in both challenges and in service. However, due to some other chefs being slightly worse than her, and her bonds with the red team, she managed to avoid nomination. Unfortunately, on her final service, she ends up bombing so badly that it can't be ignored, and Ramsay sends her home soon after.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Easily the snarkiest competitor of the season, alongside Isaiah.
  • Epic Fail: Her final service, where she absolutely tanked the meat station to the extent that she all but ensured she'd be eliminated.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With April. At the start, the two disliked each other due to April being seen as a poor performer and April disliking Saige's attitude. As the season progressed, the two gained a decent amount of respect for each other, and even during Saige's elimination, April was clearly sad about it.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Saige is particularly rough towards chefs like Bob or Ashley and tends to kick them while they're down, she is still a genuinely passionate chef is who able to get along with the majority of her team.
  • Power Trio: With Marge and Philip.
  • The Worf Effect: At the start, Saige seemed like a very early favorite, being named the best of the worst on the first night and having one of the better signature dishes. By the sixth episode however, Saige started to fall apart in services more and more, only barely avoiding nomination due to other chefs on her team being worse. Come the final nine however, and not only does she have easily the worst performance of the night, but Ramsay demands three nominees. Of course, that results in Saige being nominated and Ramsay eliminating her.
  • Two First Names: Saige Madison.
Placement: 9th
Saige's Elimination Comment - "I didn't expect it to go the way it did, slipping up at the wrong moment and crumbling from there, but hey, I'm proud of what I've achieved here. I'm so glad that I met some amazing people here too. In the end, even though I didn't win the prize restaurant, I think I'm happy still living in New Jersey, cooking pizza and pasta. I wanted to give my daughter a better life, but thinking back, I think she's happy where she's at, perhaps the happiest she’s ever been in almost seven years, and I cannot wait to see her again and embrace her in my arms."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "There once was a girl named Saige, who couldn't cook lamb, her meat was a sham, and as a result, she no longer has the stage."

Larissa Scarlet

"Abigail may have been quiet at the dorms at first, but I can't stand her during service."
Occupation: Sous Chef
Age: 30
Hometown: Boston, MA

  • Crippling Overspecialization: Up until her final service, Larissa was a decent enough chef in the kitchen, with enough leadership to show some promise. Challenge wise was where she struggled, as she was often a weak link in those.
  • Crocodile Tears: Larissa was very prone to tearing up throughout the competition, especially when she was close to elimination.
  • Dumb Blonde: Became this in her final service.
  • Epic Fail: There were so many examples of this in the challenges.
    • For her signature dish, she made a salmon which was burnt on the outside but somehow raw on the inside.
    • During the American Classics challenge, she tried to make a burger but she accidentally burned the buns, leaving her with just a patty. To add insult to injury, the burger was also overcooked.
    • During the Jamal’s Ingredients challenge, she had the brilliant idea of making a cinnamon and brown sugar fettuccine with a fruit salad on the side.
    • Finally, she made dino nuggets during the second half of the chicken challenge. They were also ice cold.
  • The Leader: Was this in her second service.
  • Nice Girl: Larissa was easily one of the nicest chefs of the season, and it's clear that she felt bad about her mistakes.
  • Picked Last: She was the last chef picked overall for the final service.
  • Poor Communication Kills: On her final service, Larissa several times failed to communicate with her team, resulting in her dropping several scallop orders when they weren't needed.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Marge. In the midst of Larissa's elimination, Larissa took note of how Marge insulted her on the way out, and took the opportunity to insult her back.
  • The Worf Effect: Despite her poor challenge performances, her second service where she led the apps station showed some kind of promise. However, after Ashley's elimination, Larissa would start to struggle more and more, eventually culminating in her ejection.
  • Two First Names: Larissa Scarlet.
Placement: 10th
Larissa's Elimination Comment - "Oh man, what have I done...the fact that I was ejected from like ten out of the three hundred plus contestants that competed just hurts. But you know what, I deserved to get kicked out the way I did, because I was a failure this night. I got to meet some friends and enemies on the way, but at the end of the day it is Ramsay's decision, and I will respect that."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Larissa, I am done! You have failed again and again, I'm sick of this! You're out! No ifs, ands, or buts, apron off, jacket off, you're done! Fuck off!"

Malcolm "Mac" Harris

"At this point I have no friends here. Never have since day one."
Occupation: Executive Chef
Age: 31
Hometown: Oxford, MS

  • Born Unlucky: Was nominated on opening night despite only making one mistake, primarily due to the fact that the majority of mistakes were made by Bob, so Mac was chosen out of either him or Phillip, the only other contestant to make a mistake that night. This is where he starts to become… him.
    • It happened AGAIN in Episode 3, where he was the only contestant besides Jared to make a mistake. This only further pushed him over the edge.
  • Epic Fail: His final service where he had an absolute meltdown on the meat station, which led to his elimination.
  • Four Is Death: Was nominated four times, and was sent packing on the fourth.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Became this rather quickly due to his unpleasant nature.
  • Jerkass: Oh so much so. He constantly picked fights with his team.
  • The Rival: To Max.
  • Shout-Out: Mac’s creator had based his personality and attitude on that of a former member of the server. The member had originally played Mac but quit the season after the first episode due to scheduling, and left the server shortly after, following an altercation with the staff.
  • Two First Names: Malcolm Harris.
Placement: 11th
Mac’s Elimination Comment - "The blue team has been out to get me since day one. Chef made the wrong decision. April is a conniving backstabbing little bitch, and some of them have had more bad services than I ever did. But it is what it is. So now it’s me, ready to go the fuck home. And Blue Team? Red Team? The only one who I still have faith in, is probably Phillip. Wouldn't be surprised to see him win."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Mac envisioned himself as an incredible baseball player, with jealous teammates who attempted to bring him down. But I saw him for what he really was, a benchwarmer forced onto the field. And as they say on the field, 3 strikes, and you're out.”

Ruth Johnson

"Now I just need to redeem myself from my last service and I'm ready to kill it tonight."
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 32
Hometown: Fairbanks, AK

  • Crippling Overspecialization: When it came to challenges, Ruth was a very hit or miss chef. However, it's still better than her when it came to service as her performances tended to range from bad to extremely mediocre.
  • The Generic Girl: Ruth was probably the most "normal" of the red team chefs.
  • Out of Focus: Ruth never really got much focus throughout the competition, due to the other personalities overshadowing her.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: In the Cook For Your Life challenge, while Ruth had the worst dish overall, Ramsay elected to let her stay as her dish was still decent. Unfortunately, that only prolonged the inevitable, as Ruth would flop on apps that night and be eliminated.
  • What Were You Thinking?: Garnered this reaction from many when she served Ramsay a pot roast she made in 45 minutes. Most pot roasts take at least 4 hours.
Placement: 12th
Ruth's Elimination Comment - "I'm heartbroken. I came in with high hopes for myself and really wanted to win. To see myself walking out of these doors without that head chef position sucks. I wanted to win for my family, and well...I didn't...but I know I tried, and that's all that matters."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Ruth had a lot of passion for cooking, and I could tell she really, really cared. But her passion didn't transfer to her cooking, and with a heavy heart I had to cut her loose."

Max Wigglins

"I came here to learn and move away from weird people, not be associated with more weird people."
Occupation: Banquet Chef
Age: 27
Hometown: Orono, ME

  • Achilles' Heel: Inverted. While Max was a rather up and down chef, the only thing he could do really well was cook fish. Everywhere else he struggled.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: When it came to challenges, Max could be very hit or miss. When it came to service however, Max was a consistently weak link in service.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: It was hinted that he grew up in a cult at one point.
  • Epic Fail: Oh, so many to count.
    • In the chicken cutting challenge, he only managed to get one piece accepted.
    • Later that episode, he absolutely tanked on the appetizers station, screwing up several risotto orders. It's to the extent it was likely he was going to go home had Ashley not quit.
    • Then there was his surf and turf campsite dish, which while sounding impressive, tasted terrible. Not only that, but the lobster was also rubber, and the deer was overcooked.
    • Later that episode, he absolutely fell apart on the garnish station screwing up fries several times. Unlike last time however, there was no chef that took themselves out, and Max was gone as a result.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Max was pretty notorious for being easy to anger.
  • The Generic Guy: Outside of his poor performances and rivalry with Mac, Max never really stood out that much.
  • The Load: Max was easily one of the weaker chefs on the blue team, constantly messing up in services, and even though he fared better in challenges, he still was rather inconsistent in them.
  • The Rival: To Mac, who constantly annoyed him.
Placement: 13th
Max's Elimination Comment - " Today was not my day. First, I completely fucked up my challenge today, and then I fuck up heavily on garnish. I was really hoping I could learn a bit more from Chef Ramsay, but I guess my boss was right, I needed more experience."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Max was very young and optimistic coming into Hell's Kitchen. But, after these recent services from him, I learned something. While you may be unable to teach an old dog new tricks, an old dog stuck in their ways is better than a new dog who is out of their depth."

Brad Carterhouse

"Chill, you’re gonna lose your voice in a moment."
Occupation: Steakhouse Chef
Age: 35
Hometown: Reno, NV

  • Born Unlucky: At the start of the competition, Brad started out extremely strong, being a strong link during challenges and service for the blue team. However, in the sixth episode he absolutely tanked on the pizza station, and considering no one else messed up (aside from Nick, but his mistake was easily rectifiable), Brad was sent home.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Brad had a few moments of this, usually in relation to Mac and Max.
  • Epic Fail: His final service, where he messed up so badly on the pizza station that Ramsay forewent nominations and sent him home post-mortem.
  • Mercy Elimination: After his disastrous performance on the pizza station, Ramsay didn't even ask for nominees, and eliminated Brad right after service.
Placement: 14th
Brad's Elimination Comment - No comment.
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Brad started off extremely strong in this competition. However, like a pizza, he went bad after a couple of days. And like a moldy pizza, I had to throw him out."

Ashley Prange

"I still don’t get it, why did they send me up?"
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 25
Hometown: Edwardsburg, MI

  • Accentuate the Negative: After the first service, Ashley was put up for nomination by the red team despite her only mistake being some poorly done garnish. What the red team sent her up for instead was her incredibly annoying attitude, which was a fair point.
  • Butt-Monkey: Ashley was easily the worst treated out of everyone on the red team, with chefs like Skylor and Saige being particularly harsh towards her. Justified however, due to how terrible she was.
  • Cloudcuckoo Lander: She definitely came off as this quite a bit.
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: Her signature dish was pretty much compared to shit in a bowl.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She did this on one occasion, and that was when she wondered if Jared's dish was made in a bathroom.
  • Epic Fail: Her signature dish, which pretty much tasted as bad as it looked.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Her signature dish, where despite her saying she was a massive Hell's Kitchen fan, she would score a 1 out of 5. There's also where she tried to nominate Abigail after she had already been ejected, her performance in the chicken challenge, and finally her performance on the meat station in her final episode.
  • Genius Ditz: She initially seemed to be a complete moron, but she proved herself to be actually pretty smart when it came to exotic animals, especially different types of scorpions. Averted however in the kitchen, where she was completely clueless.
  • Genki Girl: She was very excitable in the kitchen.
  • Hidden Depths: She revealed during a punishment she was actually extremely knowledgeable about exotic animals, leading some of her teammates to wonder if she was in the wrong profession.
  • Informed Ability: As a person who was a very big fan of the show, one would assume that she had some level of talent or etiquette for how to behave on the show. Ashley had little talent, and often annoyed her teammates.
  • Lesser of Two Evils: The red team initially considered her this to Abigail, as while the two of them were considered weak links, Ashley was at least nice enough to be around and never meant any sort of harm. Abigail on the other hand was loud and obnoxious.
  • The Load: Without a doubt the weakest chef on the red team and easily one of the weakest chefs of the season. She was always a complete failure in challenges, and in service, she was even worse.
  • Motor Mouth: Ashley often went on and on talking...
  • Nice Girl: Despite her many flaws, Ashley never really meant any harm, and was willing to comfort her team whenever they felt down.
  • No Social Skills: One of the most notable cases, as she seemed almost comically unaware on how she came off to the other chefs.
  • Rage Breaking Point: After another poor challenge performance, Ashley seemed to get the hint that she was doing poorly and tried to improve herself. Unfortunately, she didn't improve fast enough, and combined with her team turning on her and her being burned by Larissa, she finally snapped at them.
  • Rule of Three: Quit on her third nomination.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: When up for the third time, she had lost all care for being there and up and quit.
  • Spirited Competitor: She easily was a good sport about losing, even when she gets absolutely wrecked, she takes all of it with a smile. That was averted come her final episode, where ending up quitting.
  • Tempting Fate: Before presenting her signature dish, she felt she would get a five...she got a one.
  • Wall of Blather: Never. Shuts. Up.
  • You Are Too Late: In the fourth episode, Ashley finally seemed to get it through her head that not only was she very disliked, but she was not doing very well in the competition. As a result in dinner, she tried hard to be a leader, leading out the first course. Unfortunately, after she messed up on the meat station, she never could recover.
Placement: 15th
Ashley's Elimination Comment - "I thought that I wanted Hell's Kitchen. I was a big fan of the show, I thought I knew everything. I really thought I did. Unfortunately, I was in over my head. At the very least I can do what I was always meant to do and be a vet, and at the very least I can say that at the very least I didn't burn anyone."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Ashley has clearly never entered a kitchen before. However, she almost slipped by again. But when she told me she didn't care, I realized something. Neither did I."

Jared Allen

"Breakfast as second-best? Are y'all nuts?"
Occupation: Culinary Graduate
Age: 40
Hometown: Pocatello, ID

  • Handicapped Badass: Subverted. Jared clearly wanted to show he could go in the kitchen despite injuring his leg. However, he still managed to do terribly on the fish station, resulting in his elimination.
  • The Load: Jared was easily one of the weaker chefs on the blue team. He only barely managed to avoid being worse than Bob, and once he was gone, he was immediately the new weakest link.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Jared had a very inflated opinion of himself, one that was enough to cause the red team to really dislike him. Of course, it failed to transfer to his cooking.
  • Two First Names: Jared Allen.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: He was the third eliminated, and outside of his arguments with the red team and less than stellar performances in the blue team, he didn't stand out much.
Placement: 16th
Jared's Elimination Comment - "TBA."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Jared was a football player and liked to cook from his heart. However, after witnessing his cooking for three straight services, I was forced to eject him from the game. Maybe he'll be good at warming the bench, because he certainly hasn't found a talent in cooking."

Abigail Calculus

"Even if I'm too loud, I still deserve respect!"
Occupation: Cantina Cook
Age: 26
Hometown: Evansville, IN

  • The Friend Nobody Likes: With her unlikable attitude on top of her loud voice, pretty much no one on the Red Team liked her. It was even to the extent that they were willing to put up with Ashley over her.
  • No Indoor Voice: Possibly the loudest chef in the show's history.
  • Rage Quit: Possibly. After messing up one too many times on an order, she pretty much knocked a bunch of pans over in rage as Ramsay ejected her.
  • Sassy Black Woman: Absolutely.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: See above.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Outside of her loud voice and exit, she didn't really stand out.
Placement: 17th (Eliminated Mid-Service)
Abigail's Elimination Comment - "TBA."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - “Abigail hoped to win $500,000 in this competition. However, after all is said and counted, she might actually owe me $500,000.”

Bob Smith

"Time to show these youngies what I can do."
Occupation: Farmer
Age: 50
Hometown: Tallahassee, FL

  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Bob had this unusual obsession with mayonnaise. First thing he did when he got on the bus was offer the contestants some of his mayonnaise, which he presumably made himself. Throughout his short stay he didn't do a single thing on the bus or in the dorms without his precious mayonnaise.
  • Cool Old Guy: Subverted. Just read the page and you’ll see why.
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: Ramsay considered serving his signature dish to be equivalent to a war crime.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Even though his stay was short he still managed to squeeze in some snark in his confessionals.
  • Deep South: Very much.
  • The Ditz: Also very much.
  • Epic Fail: From his revolting signature dish to his obsession with mayonnaise spilling over into service, what about his stay doesn't constitute an epic fail?
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Didn't understand a single thing that was wrong with his signature dish.
  • What Were You Thinking?: As if putting mayonnaise in the carbonara didn't speak for itself.
Placement: 18th
Bob's Elimination Comment - "I tried so hard to get this far, but in the end it doesn't even matter. I'm really disappointed. I have a love for mayonnaise and cooking, but clearly no one here liked my cooking. I just hope that my children are proud of me. Ramsay, stop by Florida anytime. I can show you a really good therapist."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Bob liked to cook with mayonaise so much that it became an obsession. However, I had a different obsession. Making sure Bob never sees the inside of a kitchen again."
