Heather Lingard

Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 25
Hometown: Milwaukee, WI

  • 11th-Hour Superpower: During her first service, she quickly established herself as the strongest leader above the likes of Isabel and Mary. She even mentions she isn't sure how she did it, but plans on riding it out.
    • Not only that, she somehow managed to get Korekiyo to have a really good service.
  • The Ace: Heather almost never struggled throughout her time in the competition, as she was very strong in service and challenges. Her only nomination was due to Ramsay electing to nominate the entire black jacket brigade after a particularly awful service, and even then, she was sent back relatively quick.
  • Breakout Character: She is one of the few contestants to have made continued appearances on the show after her season, either as a judge or, in the case of Amateurs Season 2, the red team sous chef. She even was the first chef from Amateurs to cross over to the main roleplay as part of the final tasting challenge from Season 6, and as part of the winners vs. black jackets service from Season 7.
  • Bookends: Throughout the season, Heather, despite her best efforts at leading the red team to victory, usually came up short due to chefs like Mary or Olivia. In the final service however, she managed to lead Korekiyo and Charles to win the season, or in other words, win service.
  • Celebrity Resemblance: To Avril Lavigne.
  • Cosmic Plaything: Despite being a very strong link in challenges, Heather was often forced to do punishments due to chefs messing things up for the team.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: "I feel like I'm one of the cannibals from Cannibal Holocaust except less racist!"
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Arguably. Despite her on paper terrible team in the finale, Heather had everything in her favor in the final service compared to Adrian. She had a brigade that was very consistent (thanks in part to Charles and Korekiyo stepping up their game for her), she kept her eye on Olivia, preventing her from doing any sabotaging, and she made the wise decision to get rid of her when she was continuing to be a weak link. Even Olivia's last-ditch effort to sabotage her was easily rectifiable, and it only made Heather look stronger.
  • Dark Horse Victory: While heads and shoulders above her competition when it came to cooking and leadership, her brigade consisted of Charles, Korekiyo, and Olivia, while Adrian had far stronger chefs including fellow ace Isabel. Despite Olivia's best efforts to sabotage her, Heather would end up pulling out the victory.
  • The Determinator: No matter how much the red team infuriated her, she would try her hardest every service. This paid off big time in the end.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Easily the snarkiest competitor of the season, especially when it came to her team's constant failures.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Went through several punishments and never won a service during the team portion, but she stuck strong and managed to win despite Olivia's attempts at sabotage.
  • Establishing Character Moment: In the very first service, Heather, who initially came off as a laid-back tomboy with a slightly immature attitude, managed to emerge as a leader throughout the entire night, and although she didn't manage to net them the victory, she did end up becoming the Best of the Worst.
  • Expy: Of Meghan from Season 14, as both were the among the best chefs on their teams, and despite their efforts, would usually be brought down by their far weaker teammates. Both would also go on to win their seasons.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Despite saying she was going to keep an eye on the fish station after Olivia began to flounder, she failed to notice Olivia only bring one order up to the pass instead of two.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Isabel, as the two were the sanest chefs on the notoriously awful red team.
  • Foil: To Olivia. The two were very different in pretty much every way, from how Heather was a far stronger cook who had her team's respect whilst Olivia was awful and had no respect, to how Olivia was a massive quitter whilst Heather refused to give up. Additionally, whilst Olivia often survived by the skin of her teeth, Heather was the only chef of the season to avoid being nominated by her team.
  • Flawless Victory: On the way to victory, the only nomination she had was due to Ramsay calling down everyone, and even then, she was sent back relatively quickly. In all, there was rarely any point this season where it looked like anyone else would win (Isabel and Malcolm were the only two in a similar league in terms of consistency, but both flopped when it came to running the pass). The only time it looked like she wouldn't win was when Adrian got a stronger team than her in the finale, and even then Heather managed to win despite a few issues.
  • Gaydar: More of a Bi-dar, but she brings this up whenever Malcolm and Isabel are in the same room.
  • Genre Savvy: One of the reasons why Heather likely performed so well in the finals despite her terrible-on-paper team was the amount of respect she gave them. Granted while this wasn't the case with Olivia, Heather was smart enough to be nice and tolerate Charles and Korekiyo, which in turn resulted in them being way more willing to help her win.
  • Get Out!: She does this to Olivia after Olivia continued to be a detriment in her final service.
  • Hidden Depths: Took several years to figure out her sexuality to the extent she never entered a relationship, and was nervous about starting one.
  • Honor Before Reason: After another challenge loss, Heather was offered a chance to go on the reward with the blue team despite not having a punishment pass. Despite wanting to and having every reason, she declined the offer, saying that the blue team won fair and square.
    • Another example of this happened during the finale, where after Olivia knocked a pan with a steak in it to the floor, instead of putting it back in the pan, she told Charles to do a refire, as she refused to serve food off the floor. This move is what likely resulted in Heather's victory.
  • Jerk Ass To One: While Heather was a relatively nice chef, the only chef she had no good interactions with was Olivia. Justified however, due to how poor Olivia's skill in the kitchen and her attitude was.
  • The Leader: Was this for the red team, even though they never got any service wins.
  • Loved by All: It's clear that in-universe, she's the most liked chef of the season. Aside from Olivia (who dislikes everyone), and Nobert (who's mainly sexist towards everyone no matter what), she's shown to be on good terms with both Isabel and Mary, been crushed on by both Malcolm and Pani, and even some of the more eccentric chefs like Charles and Korekiyo respected her enough to put on their best performances in the finale. Even the usually sexist and racist Fat Bastard Billy was more than cordial with her.
  • Love Is a Weakness: One of her reasons for not getting with Malcolm earlier was because she wanted to focus on the competition.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She was certainly treated like this, as she was quickly fawned over by Malcolm and even Pani.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She pretty much had this reaction once she realized how terribly Billy's dish in the southern cuisine challenge came out, pretty much asking herself why she didn't put her dish up.
  • Named After Someone Famous: Her name and resemblance to Avril Lavigne of course is a reference to the character she portrayed in Over the Hedge.
  • Nice Girl: When she isn't dealing with the stress of the red team's failings, Heather is shown to be a generally friendly (if a bit goofy) individual who generally got along with her fellow chefs.
  • Not So Stoic: Initially took the red team's failings in good stride, but eventually started to get more and more frustrated with their failings. This eventually led into...
    • Rage Breaking Point: After Olivia managed to ruin the last chance of a service win, Heather finally snapped at Olivia, calling her passionless.
  • Number Two: As the Sous Chef in Amateurs Season 2, she was this to Ramsay.
  • One of the Guys: While she generally cultivated respect from her fellow Red Team members (save for Olivia), as well as be friends with Isabel and be on the receiving end of a crush from Pani, she got along extremely well with the men. Aside from Malcolm's crush on her, she was considered a worthy opponent by Adrian and she got along with several of the more disliked chefs on the blue team such as Charles, Korekiyo, and Billy.
  • Only Friend: She served as this to Korekiyo to an extent. While she did find him strange, she did treat him with far more kindness than the blue team. This in turn led to Korekiyo actually putting in a very strong effort on Heather's team in the finale.
    • Additionally, after Billy was switched over to the Red Team, she was the really the closest thing to a friend to him, even though she didn't particularly like him. As such, she was spared from his sexist behavior.
  • Only Sane Woman: She often shared this role alongside Isabel on the red team.
  • Sanity Slippage: Initially started the season as a laid-back tomboy who could clearly lead. However, as the losses from the red team weighed down on her, she would become more and more snarky and aggressive.
  • Ship Tease: With Isabel, but it ended as soon as she found out she was taken.
  • Shout-Out: As seen above when she mentioned Cannibal Holocaust.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With Malcolm. The two openly admitted they found each other attractive, even to the extent that Isabel and Mary were willing to help Malcolm get with Heather. It's more one-sided however, as while Heather did find Malcolm attractive, she wanted to focus on the competition.
  • Tomboy: If her mannerisms and snark haven't given it away.
  • Undying Loyalty: One of Heather's virtues is her overall loyalty to the red team. While the red team were incredibly weak (with the exception of Isabel and Mary at the start), and often annoyed her, Heather never once stopped trying to get them a victory. Even when she was offered a chance to go on the blue team's reward due to how well she performed in the challenge, Heather elected to stay behind.
  • Worthy Opponent: Adrian and Charles seemed to consider her this.
Placement: Winner
Heather's Winner Comment - "I did it! I can't believe it! I won! This is the greatest feeling in the world! I just...yes...ever since day one, I came here with something to prove, every challenge loss, every service loss, every single set back was just setting me up for greatness, and goddamn, I earned this shit!"
Ramsay's Winner Comment - “From the start, Heather fought through a team that was always at the bottom. Despite this, she never faultered, she always lead, and most importantly, never gave up on herself or her team. I know she's always ready for a challenge, and I couldn't be happier to have her as my next head chef.”

Adrian Webster

"Olivia talks a lot of shit, and looks like the shit went onto her plate."
Occupation: Culinary Student
Age: 24
Hometown: Louisville, KY

  • Achilles' Heel: Leadership. While he wasn't exactly terrible per say, it was the one area where he lacked most. While he did manage to have a solid enough pass to make the final two, he was easily outclassed by Heather, who proceeded to wipe the floor with him.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Not to the extent of Heather or Isabel, but he makes his snarky quips every so often.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His confessional where he states that he's a culinary student.
  • The Generic Guy: Despite making it all the way to the finals, Adrian was easily the most normal of the very colorful blue team personalities.
  • Graceful Loser: He, like all runners-up took his elimination extremely well, saying that he was happy for her and he was glad to have made it this far.
  • Only Sane Man: He often shared this role alongside Malcolm.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Essentially the cause for his defeat. As seen above under Achilles' Heel, while Adrian was a great chef for his age and experience, the one area where he lacked a bit was leadership. That wouldn't be so bad, as his leadership, while not exactly perfect, was passable. The only problem was that his opponent in the finals was Heather, who, despite having a far weaker team than him, managed to lead her team extremely well.
  • Underestimating Badassery: For a culinary student, he performed particularly well throughout the competition, even making it to the finals.
  • The Worf Effect: A mild example. Adrian started out incredibly strong, being a great performer in challenges and in service, with him even being named the "Best of the Worst" on night two. Come the black jackets however, Adrian would start to struggle a bit more, resulting in him being nominated in the eighth episode, and him being one of the last to be sent back the night everyone was called up.
Placement: 2nd
Adrian's Runner-Up Comment - "Obviously, I wanted to win, but even just making it this far, especially with this little experience, is a big accomplishment. Heather did an amazing job, and she deserves it, and if I were to lose to anyone, I'm glad it was Heather. I'm just proud of myself for making this far."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Isabel Ortiz

"At least they weren't packaged this time."
Occupation: Sous Chef
Age: 26
Hometown: Long Beach, CA

  • The Ace: Like Heather, Isabel almost never struggled throughout her time in the competition. Granted she was nominated twice, but the first time, she didn't have that bad of a service, and the second time, she was called up and sent back relatively quickly. The only reason why she failed to make the finals was because her pass performance wasn't considered as good as Heather's or Adrian's.
  • Deadpan Snarker: While not to the extent of Heather, she also made her fair share of snarky comments.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: With Heather, as the two were the sanest chefs on the notoriously awful red team.
  • Graceful Loser: While she was sad to be leaving so close to the finish line, she said she was proud of everything she accomplished, and felt like she achieved her goal of showing off her passion and heritage.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: She's hispanic, and often uses a lot of spanish.
  • The Lancer: To Heather.
  • Nice Girl: She was easily the nicest chef on the red team.
  • Only Sane Woman: She often shared this role alongside Heather.
  • Shipper on Deck: Out of everyone on the red team, she was easily the most eager to set up Malcolm and Heather, and several times would try to get them together.
  • Spicy Latina: Very much so. She took any opportunity she could to show off her heritage.
Placement: 3rd
Isabel's Elimination Comment - "Sad to be walking out of these doors instead of the big door, but I’m proud of what I have achieved in this competition. I’ve done some grueling punishments and incurred some team losses, but it never stopped me from pushing myself and making myself standout. I’ve met people I can now call lifelong friends, and even though I didn’t come out a winner and took home the bronze instead, I felt like I’ve achieved my initial goal of displaying my passion and showcasing my heritage. At the end of the day, I think I made my family and mi novio proud and I know that there’s going to be big opportunities ahead of me."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Malcolm Drummer

"Feels great man!"
Occupation: Sous Chef
Age: 23
Hometown: West Palm Beach, FL

  • Crippling Overspecialization: When it came to challenges, they ranged from mediocre to downright awful, although he did stand out on occasion. Service wise however, while he wasn't perfect, he easily was one of the better chefs on the already dominant blue team.
  • Dramatic Irony: Before the pass performance service, Malcolm stated that he would destroy the pass. Unfortunately for him, the reverse happened.
  • Epic Fail: So many to count, especially when it came to his challenges.
    • There was his southern entree dish, where the presentation was said not to be great and a bit all over the place. Not only that, the potatoes were raw, the corn was completely undercooked, and the sauce was also disliked.
    • During the blind taste test, while he didn't fail to not score, he easily had the worst performance overall on the blue team, leading to the red team winning their first challenge. Bonus point go to when he mistook ravioli for garlic bread.
    • Then there was his menu improvement challenge, where he served an overcooked ribeye that was completely dry with no moisture. Not only that, but the potatoes were also watery and disgusting as well as the ribeye tasting like leather.
    • And of course, there was his pass performance that was easily the weakest of the final four, and Ramsay would not even give him a chance to plead his case on why he should make the finals.
  • Friendship Denial: With Charles. Charles did consider Malcolm a genuinely good friend, even to the extent he considered Malcolm his best friend. Malcolm on the other hand didn't seem to like Charles all that much, or at the very least he tolerated him. This was due to Charles's strange personality and "childlike" behavior.
  • Glass Cannon: Malcolm was very much capable of being a good chef, as seen by his performances in episode seven. However, he was very prone to making mistakes in the kitchen.
  • Graceful Loser: Despite his awful pass, he took his elimination very well, saying he gave it his best shot, and even wished whoever was in the finals good luck.
  • The Leader: He served as this for the blue team.
  • Nice Guy: While he wasn't the biggest fan of Charles, Malcolm was easily one of the friendliest chefs on the blue team.
  • One-Man Army: He managed to take care of an entire twelve top by himself, without help.
  • Only Sane Man: He shared this role alongside Adrian.
  • Power Trio: With Charles and Adrian.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With Heather. The two openly admitted they found each other attractive, even to the extent that Isabel and Mary were willing to help Malcolm get with Heather. It's more one-sided however, as while Heather did find Malcolm attractive, she wanted to focus on the competition.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: He did not return for the final service, and was replaced by Billy.
  • What Were You Thinking?: Malcolm was clearly unimpressed with Charles's attempt to end the red team's goal of getting Heather and Malcolm together.
Placement: 4th
Malcolm's Elimination Comment - "I entered Hell's Kitchen with a goal, and that was to win, and unfortunately I didn't. But I can't say that I didn't give it my all. I proved myself every night in that kitchen, showing that I can cook. So, while I didn't win, I know I came close, and all I have to say is good luck to the final two, because you're going to need it."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - No comment.

Charles Cunningham

Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 28
Hometown: Aberdeen, WA

  • Alliterative Name: Charles Cunningham.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Charles was certainly an...odd individual, but he could back it up fairly well in the kitchen.
  • Cloudcuckoo Lander: OH YES.
  • Crippling Overspecialization: Charles was a very good performer in challenges, often coming up with or coming close to the winning dish. In the kitchen however, Charles was very hit or miss.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: While Charles was a good guy at heart, his strange and immature personality often resulted in the other chefs not being a big fan of him. Malcolm, Mary, and Isabel in particular have been shown to not like him that much due to finding him weird. The only two chefs that this didn't apply to were Adrian and Heather, and even then, they seemed to tolerate him more than actually like him.
  • Informed Flaw: Malcolm had very high doubts about Charles's chances in the competition, due to his odd and strange behavior. Granted, while Charles was fairly inconsistent, he was still one of the better chefs in the competition.
  • Glass Cannon: He effectively turned into this by the end of his run, where his performances ranged from really good to really bad.
  • Graceful Loser: He took his elimination very well, saying he wasn't surprised he was eliminated, and admitted the four remaining chefs were stronger than him.
  • Honor Before Reason: After winning the elevation challenge, Charles elected to choose to take Heather along instead of Malcolm, as he felt it was fair since she had the second strongest dish.
    • Additionally, there was the fact that while Heather was responsible for getting Charles nominated after leaving the punishment, he did actually work very hard for her in the finale. This is even more note-worthy because he was against fellow friend in Adrian.
  • Loon with a Heart of Gold: While Charles was certainly an odd and goofy individual, he still had a genuinely good heart.
  • Manchild: Light shades of this, but Charles had his moments of being relatively immature during services. To his credit, they were often harmless in nature, which made him more endearing than annoying.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: During one episode, Charles, fed up with the red team trying to hook up Heather and Malcolm, attempted to dissuade them by telling them that Malcolm needed to focus. While he did have his reasons for doing so, there were only two problems with this; Malcolm legitimately liked Heather, and Charles elected to do it in the middle of a punishment. This would lead to the blue team having to do the punishment even longer, Malcolm being clearly annoyed by him, and upon Ramsay learning what Charles had done, nominated Charles himself, although Charles survived elimination.
  • Power Trio: With Adrian and Malcolm.
  • Shout-Out: As seen in the above quote.
  • Skewed Priorities: Clearly thought it was more important to try to stop the red team setting Malcolm and Heather up rather than do the punishment.
  • The Worf Effect: At the start of the season, Charles was easily one of the strongest links on an already dominant blue team, alongside Adrian and Malcolm. Around the final eight however, Charles started to slip up more and more, and outside of a Best of the Best reward on the eighth episode, Charles was easily the weakest chef remaining come the final five.
Placement: 5th
Charles's Elimination Comment - "This experience had its ups and downs, at the start of the competition, I was very quiet then I started finding my voice. Some didn’t like it but after a while I felt I grew on people. I’m not surprised to be going home as the four remaining chefs are extremely talented, and honestly I hope to be great friends with them after the show, so shout-out Hell’s Kitchen for getting me new friends and improving my cooking skills by a ton."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Charles as a chef had many ups, and just as many downs. However, tonight, he went down, and didn't resurface when he needed to. So, I cut the line, and let him sink out of Hell's Kitchen."

Mary Bell

"I do NOT think that deserved a one. I mean I would eat it."
Occupation: Catering Chef
Age: 44
Hometown: Montgomery, AL

  • Cool Old Lady: Zig-Zagged a lot. While she did have a lot of passion and could be nice, she did have her attitude problems that sometimes overshadowed her good qualities.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She often does this when it comes to Olivia.
  • Genre Blind: She clearly didn't realize that using pre-packaged food was a big no-no in Hell's Kitchen.
    • Genre Savvy: Funnily enough, she did state she watched some seasons of Hell's Kitchen before, being aware of the Blind Taste Test, which makes her decision to use pre-packaged food look worse in retrospect.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While she had her attitude problems and had her moments of being delusional, she did have her good sides, and generally seemed to get along well with Heather and Isabel.
  • The Load: Despite making it to the black jackets, Mary was never a very useful teammate. Her challenges were almost always poor, and her services ranged from incredibly mediocre to downright bad. Even in those services where she wasn't that bad, she never once established herself as a leader, which meant that her time in Hell's Kitchen was very limited.
  • Never My Fault: She blamed Olivia's dish as the main reason for the red team's first challenge loss, completely ignoring the fact that her dish received the same score as her, that being a one. That's not even to mention her dish included ''prepackaged food.''
  • Out of Focus: This was Ramsay's justification for her elimination. Unlike the other five black jackets, Mary never once established herself as any sort of threat in the competition, which made her stick out like a sore thumb compared to the others.
  • The Quiet One: She tended to have problems communicating, where she would be unresponsive.
  • The Rival: Easily to Olivia. The two were almost always at each other's throats, and even during Olivia's elimination, the two would continue to trade jabs at each other.
  • Took a Level in Badass: While an unimpressive performer throughout her entire stay, she was one of Adrian's strongest chefs in the finale, despite a small misstep.
  • The Worf Effect: Outside of her signature dish, Mary was one of the better members of the red team, despite how mediocre she was. Come the fifth episode however, she started to struggle more and more, only making black jackets due to the other chefs before her being worse. Once she made it to black jackets however, there was nowhere to hide, and she was gone relatively quick.
Placement: 6th
Mary's Elimination Comment - "It sucks to leave, but I felt like I showed Ramsay everything I got. I definitely had some highs, and I felt like I would have performed better had I not been so distracted by the people around me. However, I met some great people, and I was just happy to have this opportunity. This is definitely not the last of Mary!"
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Mary had a little lamb and tonight, Mary communicated like a lamb. Silently."

Olivia Wright

Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 29
Hometown: Kansas City, MO

  • Badass Boast: "They don't call me Olivia Wright for nothing!"
  • The Ditz: Several times throughout the season, she forgot several orders and refused to listen to her teammates, which often involved her being the main cause for the red team's losses.
  • Expy: Of Elise from Seasons 9 and 17. Both was unpleasant, selfish, arrogant chefs who often survived by the skin of their teeth and got reasonably far into the competition.
  • Foil: To Heather.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She seemed willing to get into an argument almost at the drop of a hat.
  • Hated by All: Due to her awful attitude, Olivia was very unpopular among the chefs the season. Not even Charles liked her.
  • I'm Not Here to Make Friends: It's true, she made no friends.
  • It's All About Me: She was easily the most selfish person in the entire season and was never a team player. She cared only for herself and nothing else, and would often do her best to slack off as much as possible during punishments because it wasn't beneficial to her.
  • Jerkass: Easily the show's most unpleasant chef, being incredibly rude and defensive towards her entire team.
  • Karma Houdini: Played straight then subverted. She got surprisingly far in the season despite being one of the worst chefs of the season, even to the extent she came close to black jackets. However, her quitting and not having Ramsay formally eliminate her qualifies her as this.
    • Karma Houdini Warranty: However, her attempt to try and sabotage Heather in the finals was ultimately all for naught, as despite her best efforts, Heather would catch every single one and eventually throw her out. Not only that, but Heather would also end up winning in the end.
  • Lazy Bum: She was often the chef who contributed the least to punishments, much to her teammates chagrin.
  • The Millstone: Outside of one episode, Olivia was easily the red team's worst chef. This was primarily due to her poor skill in the kitchen and her argumentative attitude, which often spelled doom for the entire service.
  • Misplaced Kindergarten Teacher: Throughout her entire stay, Olivia seemed to have almost no care to be there, instead spending more of her time arguing with everyone and letting the service faulter.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Due to her poor cooking skills and her awful attitude, she became this by default to her far more sane red team members.
  • Pet the Dog: About the only good thing Olivia did was admit that the other chefs were stronger than her in her elimination statement.
  • Picked Last: In the finals, she was this, being left on Heather's team.
  • The Rival: While she didn't get along with anyone, she had a particular hatred towards Mary. The two were constantly at each other's throats, and even while Olivia was being eliminated, the two continued to bicker.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: At the final seven, right before black jackets were handed out, she and Mary were made to plea their cases as to why they should be black jackets. Olivia, instead of pleading her case, would instead say she didn't care to convince Ramsay otherwise, and quit. Granted, Olivia was likely going home anyways, since she had easily her worst performance yet.
  • Sour Supporter: Out of everyone on Heather's team, Olivia was easily the one that was least happy to be back, and she made that very clear. From trying to sabotage the orders to even knocking over one of Charles's pans (which could've injured him), she came dangerously close to completely screwing over Heather.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: The fourth episode was really good for her. Her southern dish was considered to be one of the best of the day, and she had a pretty strong performance that service. However, she quickly went right back to being terrible.
Placement: 7th
Olivia's Elimination Comment - "Man that sucked. I hated every minute of that competition and I’m glad to be out of there. There’s some genuinely talented people there and there’s also Mary, so yea. Good luck to all, especially Mary."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Olivia showed me several times that she had the bark and bite to get her this far. Tonight however, she showed me she was nothing but bark."

Korekiyo Shinguji

"We should not be distracted at this point, we must be FOCUSED!"
Occupation: Fusion Chef
Age: 23
Hometown: San Francisco, CA

  • Brother–Sister Incest: Many, many jokes and allusions were made to this.
  • Cloudcuckoo Lander: In a season full of strange characters, Korekiyo stands out as being probably the strangest of them all due to his strange fascination with his sister.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Pale skin, black hair, and easily one of the strangest chefs to enter Hell's Kitchen.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: Due to his incredibly strange personality and poor performances in the kitchen, Korekiyo very quickly became outcast by the other team members.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite his poor performances in the kitchen, Korekiyo actually put in an extremely strong effort on the blind taste test, having the highest score on the blue team.
  • Hypocrite: The night of his elimination, Korekiyo would claim that he was mature and a team player, and saying that Charles wasn't. This is despite the fact that Korekiyo was a very odd individual who focused more on himself than anyone else.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Korekiyo was relatively unpleasant to be around, he did have a point in calling out Charles when it came to abandoning the team during punishment.
  • The Load: Korekiyo was not a good chef in the slightest, often having some of the worst performances in challenges and in the kitchen.
  • Meaningful Name: The character itself is based on the same character from Danganronpa.
  • Prescience by Analysis: Before the final service started, Korekiyo noticed the tension between Olivia and everyone else, and had a feeling things were going to be bad.
  • Running Gag: The amount of times he alludes to his sister.
  • Sore Loser: Zig-Zagged. Korekiyo was clearly upset that he was eliminated over Charles, and felt that Ramsay made the wrong choice. However, he was happy to reunite with his sister.
  • Token Minority: The only chef of Japanese descent this season.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Despite how poorly he was overall, Korekiyo actually put in a really strong performance in the finale that helped Heather secure the win.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: While a very poor performer with a just as poor attitude, he genuinely put in a strong effort for Heather in the finale, saying that he wanted to help her win.
Placement: 8th
Korekiyo's Elimination Comment - "I understand my mistakes. But this should not be my time to go. But, Chef Ramsay has his own poor decisions to make. And I have but one thing to do now: reunite with sister."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Korekiyo may have had passion, but unfortunately that passion wasn't for cooking. That passion was for passionately hugging his sister."

Billy Joseph

"I know I didn't do the best but come on, did it have to be me? The greatest specimen who could do no wrong?"
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 25
Hometown: Elmira, NY

  • Absolute Xenophobe: He was...very, very racist.
  • Apathy Killed the Cat: He was constantly accused of being this, seeming to care more about being a jerk than actually do any good.
  • Birdsofa Feather: With Nobert, as both were sexist jerks who had major egos.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He had no problem snarking towards anyone...including Gordon Ramsay.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His signature dish, which was not only considered one of the worst of the day due to it being undercooked, but it featured him mouthing off to Gordon, showing his lack of care to be in the competition.
  • Epic Fail: His final service on the red team saw him serve up several raw chicken dishes, one even to the VIP table, and even tried to lie about the situation. As a result of this, he wound up being ejected from the competition.
  • Fat Bastard: Easily the biggest chef of the season, and one of the most unpleasant to match.
  • Jerkass: He was easily one of the biggest of the season due to his misogynistic and sexist nature.
  • The Load: He was only a little bit stronger than Nobert, but the moment he left, Billy quickly became the weakest chef on the blue team, as he was a poor performer in challenges and had trouble not making a mistake in the kitchen. Even with a switch to the red team, he was still unable to make up ground, as he not only single-handedly screwed the red team out of a challenge win, but he screwed up on chicken to the extent he was ejected from the competition.
  • Never My Fault: After he sent up raw chicken to judges, he immediately blamed the judges for being against him...despite serving raw chicken.
  • Only Friend: He essentially was this to Nobert, as the two were equally as unpleasant.
  • Press Start to Game Over: Was very close to being on the receiving end of this, as not only he did mouth off to Gordon during his signature dish, but his chicken dish was raw.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: A very notable example. He constantly talked himself up as if he were a phenomenal chef, but he was still one of the weaker chefs of the season.
  • Sore Loser: He did not take the Southern dish loss very well, saying the judges were sluts.
  • Straw Misogynist: He also was this, judging by his comments on the judges and Isabel.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Who knew that mouthing off to Gordon during the signature dish was a bad idea?
Placement: 9th
Billy's Elimination Comment - No comment.
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - “Billy was like a wild card; I could get a decent chef, or I could get a dish washer and unfortunately Billy was a dish washer.”

Samantha Brickham

"Right, right. A lot of these dishes are interesting, I’ll say."
Occupation: Personal Chef
Age: 21
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA

  • Ambiguously Brown
  • Deadpan Snarker: She had a few small moments of this.
  • The Generic Girl: Easily the chef who stood out the least.
  • Informed Ability: She stated during her elimination plea that she knew cultures all over the world. Due to her early elimination however, she never really got to show this off.
  • The Load: Samantha was not a good chef. Challenge wise, she was unimpressive, and in service she was easily one of the worst chefs.
  • The Quiet One: Her biggest flaw, as she was often quiet during service.
  • We Hardly Knew You: She didn't really get to stand out too much due to only lasting two episodes.
Placement: 10th
Samantha's Elimination Comment - "Uhhh, I have nothing to say except that my time in this kitchen was pretty short and I wish I could've shown Gordon more."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Tonight was a night I should've saw the blue team thrive, and the red team redeem themselves. At the end of the day however, I had no hope for Nobert, and Samantha could not survive."

Nobert Rewman

"You should just eliminate all the red team right now and just make all the boys the black jackets."
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 30
Hometown: Decatur, IL

  • Birdsofa Feather: With Billy, as both were sexist jerks who had major egos.
  • He-Man Woman Hater: He constantly made sexist comments, even stating that all the girls should be eliminated and all the boys should be black jackets.
  • Jerkass: Easily one of the most unpleasant chefs on the blue team due to his sexism.
  • The Load: Nobert was easily the worst chef on the already dominant blue team, with him failing to stand out on the first night, and him absolutely tanking the meat station on the second night. That's not even to mention how poorly he did in challenges.
  • Never My Fault: In his elimination comment, he said he was gone because Ramsay liked the women. This was of course ignoring the fact that Nobert was easily the weakest chef on the blue team.
  • Sore Loser: He did not take his elimination well, saying that the only reason he went was because Ramsay liked the women.
  • Straw Misogynist: He took every opportunity he could to make a sexist remark.
  • We Hardly Knew You: Outside of his sexism and friendship with Billy, Nobert never stood out much.
Placement: 11th
Nobert's Elimination Comment - "I can’t believe I was eliminated tonight; these women have no clue what there on about Chef Ramsay just has boners for them and I should’ve stayed obviously now I just got to pray Billy will win."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - "Tonight was a night I should've saw the blue team thrive, and the red team redeem themselves. At the end of the day however, I had no hope for Nobert, and Samantha could not survive."

Pani Puri

"You guys made my three look like an amazing score."
Occupation: Line Cook
Age: 24
Hometown: Detroit, MI

  • Alliterative Name: Pani Puri.
  • Ambiguously Brown
  • Deadpan Snarker: "Wow Olivia, you're working so hard."
  • Epic Fail: Her only service saw her fail to serve any acceptable fish entrees until Heather came to help her, and even then, her problems continued.
  • The Load: Easily the worst chef on opening night, as she messed up fish so many times she had to get Heather to help her.
  • Never My Fault: At elimination, she blamed Samantha primarily for the service going down, even though her and Olivia were mainly to blame.
  • Ship Tease: She did express a genuine interest in Heather.
  • We Hardly Knew You: She didn't really get to stand out too much due to being the first eliminated.
  • What Were You Thinking?: She was in disbelief that Billy would be sarcastic towards Gordon during the signature dish challenge.
Placement: 12th
Pani's Elimination Comment - "Uhhh, I have nothing to say except that my time in this kitchen was pretty short and I wish I could've shown Gordon more."
Ramsay's Elimination Comment - “When it comes to the fish station, like the protein, you either sink or swim. Pani chose to sink.”
