    Mad Scientist Gremory
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_20200817_231425_guardian_tales.jpg
Why is everyone afraid of me? Everyone likes experiments, right?
JP redesign
A research scientist from the devildom who has solely dedicated her life to researching magic.
Rarity: 2-star
Species: Demon
Age: 24
Height and weight: 161cm/47kg
Element: Dark
Role: Ranged
Exclusive Weapon: Curiosity Solver
Voiced by: Maki Kawase (Japanese), Kirsten Day (English)
Illustrator: Wonchun Choi (GL/KR), kuro (JP)

  • Boxed Crook: Odile initially got her cooperation offering Gremory the choice to either aid her and be given the chance to use police resources for her purposes or be taken in for the many crimes she's committed in her experimentation.
  • Creepy Good: Gremory is ultimately a good person overall, but her lack of social skills and tendency to experiment on others make most people wary of her.
  • Damsel in Distress: Mk. 2 kidnaps her to lure out the Knight and Odile late in Chapter 12.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: She is a demon and a mad scientist, but she doesn't have any malicious intentions for her work. In general, she's somewhat shy and more than a little creepy, but friendly enough.
  • For Science!: She lives for making scientific discoveries.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: She's aware that she tends to scare people off and wants to change that. A good portion of her research is looking for ways to become more popular.
  • Laughing Mad: Most of her voice lines have her devolve into crazed giggling.
  • Mad Scientist: She is not the most mentally stable person.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: To Gremory, everyone is a potential test subject and she does not seem familiar with the concept of "research ethics".
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her JP redesign. Goddamn.
  • Sufficiently Analyzed Magic: Her goal in life is to master magic through the scientific method.
  • Vitriolic Best Friends: She and her detective partner Odile argue often, but still work well together in their investigations.

    Odile
A private detective working in the Demon World. Has some bad history with the Turing Gang. She and her partner Gremory saved the Knight after their first encounter Mk. 2 left them near death and incorporates their help for her investigations. Odile is eventually revealed to have once been a police detective around 5 years before the story started, but she got fired after a certain incident.

For tropes pertaining to her playable version, see the Light Unique Heroes page.

    Old Hero Erina
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2021_09_18_22_47_54_43_910158a220731172f91f5cf7031d24bd.jpg
"I just don't understand the youth these days."
An elderly warrior that you first meet (and fight) in the Teatan Kingdom. She's eventually revealed to be the strongest warrior in the Demon World and the Chief of National Security in said world. She's also Queen Lilith's longest and closest confidant, having been with her for around 1500 years now.
Species: Human
Age: 1530
Voiced by: Rina Sato (Japanese), AmaLee (English)
Illustrator: Wonchun Choi (GL/KR)

For tropes regarding her (younger) playable version, see the Basic Unique Heroes page.

  • Beef Gate: The encounter in Teatan Kingdom has her at level 70. If you go in as soon as possible, your max level will be 35. note
  • Berserk Button: Do NOT hurt Lilith in any way or form. If you do, you're in a world of pain. Not even being Kaden will stop her.
  • Cool Big Sis: She's been looking after Lilith since the Demon Queen was a child. Even though Lilith has long since grown up, Erina still feels the need to stay with her as an aide and voice of reason.
  • Cyborg: Not in the main storyline (yet), but the version you fight in raid battles is one. Its origin story is revealed in World 12 Nightmare: Cyborg Erina is actually an android created by Queen Lilith's assistant android-gone-rogue Vicky, as a way to satisfy her master by providing her "an Erina that will always do what she says and never gets tired". It's also the main culprit behind the murders surrounding Cecil.
  • Don't Make Me Destroy You: She tries to warn off the occasional fool who thinks that they're a match for some old lady. Those who keep pressing the issue quickly regret ignoring her warnings.
  • The Dreaded: Citizens of Demon World all fear the possibility of doing enough to end up as her target, with very good reason.
  • Dual Age Modes: She can temporarily restore her youthful form so she can fight in her prime. Doing so is very draining for her, so she only does it if the situation is dire.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Is first seen in one of the substages for Teatan Kingdom.
  • Feeling Their Age: While she is still active, Erina admits that age has severely weakened her and she just doesn't have the strength, stamina, or quick recovery she did back in her glory days.
  • Hopeless Boss Fight: The fight against Erina in Demon World is meant to be this. Should you manage to beat her, the screen will visibly begin glitching and text will display saying that you shouldn't have done that, before booting you back to the map screen. Subverted in that a quest requires you to do this to complete it.
  • I Was Quite a Looker: Images of her in her prime display her as very beautiful as a young woman. She demonstrates this much more obviously when she temporarily restores her youth.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Even at her obviously advanced age, she's a terrifying combatant. People foolish enough to write her off as "just some old lady" will probably be left in a broken heap on the ground before they realize their mistake.
  • Number Two: She's Lilith's top aide and personal confidant.
  • Old Soldier: She's been fighting villainy for a very long time and isn't planning on stopping any time soon.
  • Older Than They Look: While she is clearly an old woman, she doesn't appear more than a small fraction of her real age. That goes double for when she unleashes her true strength, where she visibly ages down into her prime.
  • Perilous Old Fool: Lilith berates her for continuing to recklessly wander and fight in far-off lands instead of acknowledging that her age has caught up with her.
  • Really 700 Years Old: She somehow managed to live for more than 500 years between Dungeon Link and the present day of the story despite being human. About a thousand years before Dungeon Link, when Erina was a young woman in her prime as a hero, she defeated and sealed the four Demon Gods into herself. A portion of the gods' magic merged with her system, granting her several abilities. In addition to gaining superhuman strength, her aging was slowed down considerably but not fully stopped. If she taps into more of this lingering magic, she can revert herself back to her prime, but only temporarily.
  • Retired Badass: She's mostly put her wandering adventurer days behind her so she could help Lilith run Demon World. She'll still gladly beat down anyone foolish enough to disturb the peace on her watch and occasionally goes wandering the world just for personal satisfaction.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: She made herself the living container for the Four Demon Gods after she defeated them in battle around 1500 years before the start of the game. The gods were removed from her long ago, but she still contains remnants of their magic within herself.
  • Undying Loyalty: She is dedicated to Lilith as both a knight and dear friend.

    Demon Queen Lilith
The current queen of the Demon World. Got occupied by the sudden onset of the L-bacteria ravaging Area 51, among other problems within her realm, when she was approached by a certain someone resembling the Knight...

See the Dark Unique Heroes page.

    Android MK. 2
A Heavenhold android, and the last surviving battle android (if you don't count Mk.99). She's decided to not protect humanity and instead has built a mafia in Demon World, ruling the streets with a (literal) iron fist.
For tropes regarding her (post-World 12) playable version, see the Dark Unique Heroes page.

  • Evil Counterpart: To her fellow surviving combat android, Mk. 99. Mk. 99 is lazy but still works to protect humanity while Mk. 2 abandoned her assigned duty entirely to work as a ruthless gangster for her own benefit.
  • Disney Death: She somehow survives a helicopter crash while heavily damaged and makes a full recovery.
  • Forced into Evil: Mk. 2 originally founded her Turing Gang as more of a support group for lost or rejected androids than a criminal organization. They just wanted to live freely and had no plans to harm anyone. Unfortunately, the Other Knight got their hands on her command codes, forcing her and the rest of Turing Gang to act as their personal enforcers.
  • The Heavy: She acts as the primary antagonist to the Knight during Chapter 12.
  • I Just Want to Be Free: She reveals that her main goal is to get out of her service to the Other Knight in a rant before her final battle with the real Knight.
  • It's Personal: She has a deep hatred of Odile thanks to some old business between the two.
  • "Second Law" My Ass!: A common issue with her model, she takes it to the extreme by declaring she's not following orders from everyone. That said, it's implied she's under direct orders of the Other Knight rather than doing it all willingly.
  • Super Mob Boss: She is a fully equipped combat android and took the relatively minor Turing Gang and made them a force to be reckoned with.
  • You Are Number 6: Just like Mk.99, she's named after her number of production.

    The Other Knight (SPOILER WARNING)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/altknight2.png
"Will the day of freedom come for you too...? Good luck, me. You're gonna need it."
Another version of you? Who are they and why do they have your face?

Turns out, they were the Knight of a time loop that came before the player's Knight. They were successful in thwarting the large-scale Invader invasion and even managed to kill the Savior afterwards. But after that, their world suddenly ended, with them staring in a black void endlessly thinking of what went wrong... Until a certain fairy-like being appears before them and gives them a life-changing deal...

Species: Human
Age: 27
Voiced by (Male): Yuki Ono (Japanese)
Voiced by (Female): Natsumi Takamori (Japanese)

For tropes regarding their more heroic counterpart, see the Kanterbury page.

  • All for Nothing: Twice over. Not only did all their attempts to save their world end in disaster but their plan to unite Demon World under their leadership to fight the Invaders was doomed from the beginning. The timeline had deviated from their own enough to render their future knowledge meaningless so the invasion came far sooner than they expected. Even if they succeeded, the Other Knight couldn't hope to have Demon World recover quickly enough to mount a meaningful defense. Especially since Lilith's biggest trump cards, Erina and the Demon Gods, would never listen to them if she died. All they'd have accomplished is making the Invaders' jobs easier.
  • The Aloner: They (somehow) were the only being that survived their original universe's destruction. This left them stranded in a void for around seven years before they had the chance to move to the current timeline.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Was subjected to one when their world suddenly ended and became a deafeningly silent dark void after finally killing the Invaders' leader. The Other Knight was stuck in that empty void, forced to endlessly think of the things that may have gone wrong, what they could've done to prevent it, or if it even was preventable in the first place... until they were given the chance to "restart" in the new universal loop.
  • Disney Villain Death: They throw themselves off of Lilith Tower after being defeated, but apparently survived to be brought into custody. Which they escape near-immediately.
  • Engineered Heroics: The incidents they became famous for solving were caused by Mk. 2 on their orders. They keep her and her gang on call to cause more crimes to "resolve" to protect their fame and to act as a secret enforcer.
  • Evil Knockoff: A sinister duplicate of the Knight working for an unknown purpose. We eventually discover that they aren't a knockoff at all. They're a version of the Knight from the previous universal loop. Their purpose is to, as their second chance, end the Invaders' invasion without sullying their hands or using the Champion's Sword on the Savior.
  • Failure Knight: This is a version of the Knight that failed to save their world. When they got a chance to make up for it, they leapt at the opportunity.
  • Fallen Hero: They were once as heroic as the current Knight, but grew bitter and ruthless after seeing their attempts at saving their world accomplish nothing but destruction. After being forced to spend years alone in the void with nothing but their own thoughts on their failure, all they care about now is getting a second chance and eliminating anything in their way for it.
  • Fate Worse than Death: The Other Knight spent around seven years at the end of the world before being sent to this one, and was driven insane. They're so terrified of facing that again that they willingly set off their own bomb after their battle just to ensure that they never have to face the void again.
  • For Want Of A Nail: They're what would happen if the Knight didn't have the Little Princess to protect and keep them grounded. Without her influence, they had full access to their powers and easily won their war with the Invaders, but were far more arrogant and selfish. Since they followed the usual "script" without any major detours, they didn't learn the true consequences of killing the Savior until far too late.
  • Future Me Scares Me: The current Knight is clearly disturbed by the ruthlessness and selfishness of their alternate future counterpart.
  • Game-Favored Gender: In the same way that the female Knight is consistently used as the main character for promotional material and for the Future version, the male Knight is used as the Other version for World 13's promotional art and the Japanese PV for World 13.
  • Genre Savvy: Cites their arrival in the new timeline as "a second playthrough in an RPG", which is why they had an easy time replacing the current Knight.
  • Go Mad from the Isolation: The Other Knight openly that they're no longer fully sane after spending seven years in the void stewing in their despair and loneliness.
  • Imposter Forgot One Detail: How the Little Princess finally comes to realize that this Knight isn't the one she always knew and idolized at the start of World 13-9. She gives the Other Knight a box of gold, and when they accept the gift so readily and appreciatively, she points out that her Knight wouldn't have been so excited just getting some coins and would've been more thrilled if it was something more valuable instead (like gems).
  • It's All About Me: Despite their claims about the need to do anything to prevent the end of the world, it's clear that their real concern has always been their fear of having to return to the void. The moment they see hope that their counterpart and the Princess can save the world instead of them, their only reaction is pure glee that they don't have to do anything anymore.
  • It Sucks to Be the Chosen One: They come to this conclusion after seeing all their efforts amount to nothing but destruction. After being defeated by their current counterpart, the Other Knight bursts into maniacal laughter from sheer relief that they don't have to carry the burden of being the "hero" anymore.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Mild example. They're arrogant and malevolent, but they did treasure their time with the other Champions before they were just erased along with everything else but the Other Knight.
  • Kick the Dog: On top of their many crimes, they attack the Little Princess when she tries to help the current Knight in their battle.
  • Kill and Replace: Their goal is to kill their current counterpart and take their place as the hero. They tried to do it indirectly through both Mk. 2 and biological weapons. When those failed, the Other Knight decided to get their hands dirty and kill the Knight personally.
  • Laughing Mad: When they realize that the Princess can reverse the effects of the Labose bio-weapon they unleash unto Demon World, and, by extension, the ill-fated ending that befalls the world should they destroy the Savior, they begin giggling like mad, for indeed, the world can be saved.
  • Leitmotif: This theme that plays during their one-on-one talk with the player's Knight.
  • Knight of Cerebus: While the story was already getting dark, their brutality of their terrorist actions and various ominous warnings change the plot significantly.
  • Let's Fight Like Gentlemen: They give the weaponless present Knight their version of the Champion's Sword to use in their boss battle. Both as a courtesy to their counterpart and as a way for them to symbolically prove that they're better than the destiny the sword represents.
  • Magic Knight: This Knight supplements their physical combat with powerful lightning magic. They seem to be capable of using other magical abilities as well.
  • Mirror Boss: The inevitable final boss of World 13, fought after the Little Princess finally realizes they're not the Knight she knew and loved like an older sibling. Unlike the normal Knight though, this Knight's special ability is to turn their exclusive weapon Libera into three different weapon types, stylized as boss phases. They also have movesets that the normal Knight doesn't have.
  • Morph Weapon: This Knight's Libera can take on at least two other forms aside from the normal one-handed sword. We see them use it as its regular one-handed sword and shield combo, but it also becomes a two-handed sword and a bow.
  • Near-Villain Victory: They succeed in setting off their bomb to destroy Lilith Tower and everyone in it. It took the Little Princess displaying an unknown power to reverse the damage.
  • No, Mr. Bond, I Expect You to Dine: They share a coffee and talk with the Knight before their battle. There they explain their past and offer to let the Knight escape freely so long as they stop interfering with their plans.
  • No Name Given: Doesn't have an actual name in the main story so far, as they also use the Hello, [Insert Name Here] of the player. Fans of the game use "Other Knight", "Other Guardian", or "Alt Knight" when referring to and talking about them.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: They claim to want to prevent the apocalypse that their timeline ended in, but their actions prove that they're more concerned with benefiting themselves than anyone else's well-being.
  • Older Than They Look: Looks as youthful as their 20-year-old counterpart, but they spent seven years in the void after the world's abrupt end before time-travelling to the current timeline, so they're actually 27 years old.
  • Passing the Torch: Essentially what they do towards the current Knight after their attempt at killing everyone in Lilith Tower using a bio-weapon ends in failure. Because of the Little Princess's dormant power neutralizing and reversing it, they realized that the new loop may have found a way to break the cycle through the Princess's existence, and that they don't have to fight anymore since it's now the new Knight's responsibility.
  • Purely Aesthetic Gender: The Other Knight is the opposite gender of the one you chose at the beginning of the game.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Thinking that killing the Savior with the Champion's Sword was what triggered the world's sudden end, the Other Knight makes a deal with a mysterious entity to carry themselves over to the next loop to prevent it by NOT killing the Savior directly. To do that, they will have to take care of the current loop's Knight though...
  • Shock and Awe: Like the Knight, they can summon lighting in battle. Unlike their counterpart, they don't need a special weapon to do this: they call it at will.
  • Totalitarian Utilitarian: They're willing to accept commit any crime, kill any number of innocents, even kill themselves as long as it averts the world's destruction. To them, going so far as to allow the Invader Fleet to win is acceptable as a world under their dystopian rule is better than no world at all.
  • The Unfettered: Lacking any of the Knight's loyalties or morals, they will do whatever they feel necessary to get what they want, no matter who gets hurt or killed in the process.
  • Unwitting Pawn: They were an example of the perfect pawn to play the role of "Hero" in Queen Lili's story. After they finished their role and ended the universe, Lili, in her fairy form, manipulated them into entering the newest loop to hinder their counterpart while they were in the alternate future of the Unrecorded World.
  • Vagueness Is Coming: After their defeat, they leave their younger counterpart with a cryptic warning and bitterly tell them that they'll need luck for to face upcoming danger before jumping off the building without elaborating on what they meant.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: In contrast to the current Knight, they gained fame and acclaim in Demon World after helping to solve a crisis that happened three months before your own arrival. Various pieces of evidence you find point to they set up the crisis they "resolved" themselves.
  • Walking Spoiler: Their motivations and origins are the biggest mysteries and plot drivers of the overall World 12-13 storyline.
  • Willfully Weak: They held a powered version of the Champion's Sword, but deliberately refuse to use it as a point of pride. They give it to their present counterpart to make the battle more even and still would have beaten them had it not been for the Little Princess' assistance.
  • World's Strongest Man: They're powerful enough to keep some of the strongest characters in Demon World at bay. The current Knight only stood a chance against them when using the Champion's Sword, and they still would have lost had the Little Princess not being there to help them.
  • Would Hurt a Child: They knock out Little Princess when she distracts them during the fight with their counterpart. This enrages the current Knight enough to continue the fight until the Other Knight is defeated.

Demon Gods

    Belial
One of the four Demon Gods that was defeated and sealed by Erina long ago. Unbeknownst to most, he has the ability to return to the mortal realm by way of possessing those that inherited his blood.

For more information about him, see both Priscilla's entry and the Demon Shire page.

    Crosselle
One of the four Demon Gods that was defeated and sealed by Erina long ago, now possessing the body of a Demon woman through a contract with Queen Lilith. In World 15, she lends the Knight her assistance in infiltrating the Invader battleship through her technological know-how.

See the Dark Unique Heroes page.

    Andras
One of the four Demon Gods that was defeated and sealed by Erina long ago, now possessing the body of a Demon woman through a contract with Queen Lilith. She is noted to be trigger-happy and enjoys beheading and/or encasing her enemies in ice.

See the Water Unique Heroes page.

    Pymon
One of the four Demon Gods that was defeated and sealed by Erina long ago, now possessing the body of a Demon woman, though reluctantly on her part, through a contract with Queen Lilith. Noted to be quite forgetful and would prefer fighting over talking with her fiery punches.

See the Fire Unique Heroes page.

Relevant Invaders

    Jerry Little Volt
An ugly Invader who was second-in-command to the 4th Corps Commander. Following his fervent loyalty and desire for a promotion, he ends up becoming a mole put into the 1st Corps to find that Corps Commander's weakness.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: He has bright orange skin.
  • Berserk Button: Attacking his fragile ego is the quickest way to set him off. He loses it when the heroes completely disregard him when looking for the real leader of the invasion.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: He's convinced that he's a huge threat and demands to be respected because of his position. He devolves into raging madness after his bosses and the heroes show him how little he really mattered in the big picture.
  • Dodgy Toupee: He covers his bald head with an obviously fake blond toupee. It doesn't fool anyone, but he's too vain to part with it. He only takes it off at the start of his Villainous Breakdown before his boss battle.
  • The Neidermeyer: He loves to use his rank to pettily bully the 1st Corps Invaders despite only being there on loan from the 4th Corps. They begrudgingly obey, but constantly complain about him arrogantly overstepping his authority and mock him behind his back.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He's convinced that his rank makes him a grand and powerful presence, but nobody really respects him.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After his boss orders him to stay with the doomed ship to slow down the heroes, Jerry breaks down realizing that his bosses consider him as expendable as he did all the "lesser" Invaders he so eagerly bullied. With his inflated sense of self-importance shattered, he goes mad with indignation and lashes out at the heroes when they demand to face the real leader of the invasion. He spends his boss battle raging at the heroes to remember his name in an attempt to force someone to acknowledge him before dying when the ship's reactor exploded.

    4th Corps Commander
The commander of one of the most powerful armies and direct superior of Jerry Little Volt.
  • Bad Boss: His only reaction to Jerry Little Volt's request for evacuation was to thank him for his service and order him to go down with the First Corps' flagship.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: He seems to be scheming of his own judging by his reaction to hearing that the First Corps Commander had abandoned her fleet.
  • The Unseen: He never appears on-screen during his debut.

    1st Corps Commander
The commander of the Invaders' strongest and most technologically-advanced army corps. Rumors say she is a "tainted being" much like everyone in Tetis.

For more information about her true identity, see Queen Camilla and the Dark Unique Heroes page.

Central Heavenhold

    KAI
An android that facilitates the Heavenhold Emergency Recovery Operating System, built to look and act like the previous Hero Kaden.

See the Light Unique Heroes page.

    Queen Lili (SPOILER WARNING)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/79065bcb_311a_4ad3_91d2_8ee26a574351.png
Lili in Dungeon Link

Race: Human (Formely), Time Fairy
Voiced by: TBA (English), TBA (Japanese), TBA (Korean)
The queen of Kanterbury 500 years ago, she was one of Kaden's companions who helped create Heavenhold in preparation of the prophecy. However, her reason for doing so may have been for ulterior motives...
  • The Ageless: She is virtually immortal, yet, physically, to the unassuming eye she could not be any older than young adulthood. Of course, she is a ghost, which explains a lot.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She presented herself to the Knight, her descendants, and even Kaden as a caring, protective figure and asks them to aid her in saving the world. In truth, she's a callous manipulator who works to ensure that that world continues following its disastrous cycle for her own selfish purposes. If anyone threatens to derail her plans, she drops the mask and ruthlessly kills them.
  • Canon Immigrant: Lili is one of the returning Dungeon Links characters.
  • Control Freak: To ensure the world stays "on-script", so she seeks out and destroys any element that could cause events to deviate from her plan. The Little Princess, whose inexplicable existence caused the biggest deviation to date, becomes her number one target.
  • Demonic Possession: Has been possessing her descendants throughout the years to make sure the prophecy comes to pass, through a ritual they all go through once they come of age whether they like it or not. The ritual isn't actually needed, it just means she doesn't have to fight the former occupant for control afterwards. No matter how much they try to escape, she will eventually find them and take their bodies by force.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Her first appearance is all the way back in World 1, where her seemingly minor role in the plot belies her control over the narrative.
  • Familial Body Snatcher: She has no problem with possessing her own descendants to continue her own schemes.
  • He Was Right There All Along: Remember the blue fairy-like beings you've seen throughout the game? She transforms from one into her human form before possessing Camilla.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: She deliberately perpetuates the time loop the universe is stuck in for an unknown personal goal.
  • It's All About Me: She doesn't care if the entire universe is doomed to eternally repeat a march to destruction so long as she fulfils her personal goals.
  • The Man Behind the Man: The Savior implies that she is somehow able to force even him to follow her story.
  • Manipulative Bastard: She's been manipulating everyone around her for hundreds of years. Potentially far longer considering how many times the universe has looped.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: She knows what happens when the prophecy is fulfilled as well as the time loop the universe seems to be in. She continues to perpetuate the Vicious Cycle with glee.
  • Omniscient Council of Vagueness: As was implied in World 13 and confirmed in World 18, she appears to be merely an agent of an Ancient Conspiracy dedicated to the eternal repetition of the timeline- and as such it is unclear whether or not Lili acts of her own volition. Those floating rocks that appeared after you retrieved the Champion's Sword? Congregation area for faceless, seemingly high-ranking blue guides, not unlike Lili herself, discussing her failure to keep 'hidden variables' (Little Princess) under control, as well as her inability to keep the Knight ignorant, to other, more unspeakably vague allusions such as Kaden reaching what should be unreachable for a being of the loop, the balance of power reaching utter collapse in another goddamn war, connecting back with 'the origin', Lili taking on a more hands-on approach to the matters at hand, and so on. Do notice that the Invader Mothership is currently absent, unlike last time.
Lili: "The variable was not at all what we expected it to be. Also, I don't think any of you could have done a better job.
  • Posthumous Character: She's been dead for over 500 years due to a 'mysterious accident' after Kaden's disappearance. This has not slowed her down in the slightest.
  • Prophecies Are Always Right: She works tirelessly to invoke this trope to the most minute detail, no matter the cost.
  • Really 700 Years Old: She looks as youthful as ever, yet she has been around for countless eons and more.
  • Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: She retains her memories between loops. She's been exploiting this to work towards her unknown goal.
  • Sudden Sequel Heel Syndrome: In Dungeon Link, Lili seemed to be a kind and noble queen. This game reveals that it was always an act. She was manipulating Kaden the whole time so he would aid her in finding the Champion's Sword and creating Heavenhold to use in her scheme to end the world.
  • Time Abyss: Has been working on the prophecy in the background for over 500 years. After who knows how many universal resets, she's unfathomably old.
  • The Unfettered: Lili is willing to raise entire generations of the Kanterbury ruling family as hosts so that she can possess them and continue to make sure that the prophecy continues as she has foreseen, even if that means disappearing unexpected variables, including the Little Princess.
  • Would Hurt a Child: At the end of World 16, she takes control over Camilla's body and uses her power to try and kill LP, while the former queen is Forced to Watch, all with a Psychotic Smirk on her face.

Saul

    Morrian
The current governor of the militarized city of Saul. She was the driving force behind the Demon World Civil War.

For more information, please refer to the Earth Unique Heroes page.

    Lala
Lana's mother who was living in Saul when the civil war began.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She would first appear in the side story "Folktale" as Lana's stand-in for the typical race sidequest. Then she's seen in a flashback in World 11 when the wheelchair-bound Lana had her last race with the Knight. Then she's seen with a child Lana in the Slayers NEXT collab story racing against Lina and Gourry. It wouldn't be until at least 2 years later that she finally got to appear in person within the main story in a World 17 sidequest.
  • Secret Art: She (and potentially Lana) has an innate ability to become "even faster than lightning" for a short period of time, that's passed down within their family for generations. Only a select few get to unlock this power with special training and adhering to the mentality of With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
