    Awesome Gaming Moments
  • In celebration of 300,000 subscribers, Korone chose to stream the infamously difficult Dragon's Lair on the Famicom. After about 20 hours of nonstop streaming and over 80 retries, she beats it! Furthermore, not even a day later, she redid the run off-stream, but this time without the 30-lives cheat.
  • In one of her Tetris 99 streams, Suisei gets stream-sniped by "Roy", who at the time was ranked the 2nd best player worldwide. They wind up the final two players and Suisei manages to hold out against Roy for nearly five minutes. Granted, due to the badge difference Roy had a huge handicap, but even so people were impressed that Suisei could do that well against one of the top pros. Even better, the top-ranked Tetris 99 player, Taiyo Amemiya, was also in the chat watching the stream.
  • Overlaps with Nightmare Fuel, but Suisei's murder spree in Project Winter. After taking out Coco, she yells out "I'M GONNA KILL YOU ALL HERE" and makes good on her promise by not only killing the 4 other members, to the shock of her ally Roboco and the other players, but she even takes the time to strip Fubuki's corpse, dress up as her and taunts Matsuri, complete with mimicking Fubuki's voice while loading poor Matsuri with lead, before smashing her with the axe.
  • Pekora attempts a Minecraft speedrun. After 12 hours and 46 minutes, she finally slays the Ender Dragon.
  • Korone's playthrough of Doom 64 has her face the Final Boss, and despite the difficulty with the Mother of all demons, she manages to kill it on her last possible BFG9000 shot, being killed right as she fired it. An epic example of Double Knockout, and the game treats it as a victory.
  • Marine demonstrates her artistic talent in her Passpartout streams, where she makes it big in the game drawing and selling portraits of her fellow hololivers and gets one of the hardest endings. She even gets recognition from her peers and even their character designers. Watch the stream highlights here (may contain risqué images): part 1, part 2, part 3.
  • As part of her 500,000-subscriber milestone, Pekora challenged herself to obtain the Golden Pot in Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, which is unlocked after clearing the game 50 times (she already had 20 clears when the video first began). It took a grueling 10 hours, but in the end she successfully did it, becoming the second member of Hololive after Aqua to unlock the Golden Pot!
  • On another stream of Getting Over It, Pekora tries to beat it in less than one hour or she has to do a VR horror game as punishement. She succeeds with almost 1 minute left and despite a few bumps into asteroids.
  • As a testament to her signature calmness, Okayu completed her 12-hour playthrough of Getting Over It without ever once getting angry towards the notoriously-frustrating game. After the credits rolled, she did another run just to ride the snake and accomplished her goal in 78 minutes.
  • Flare's ''51 Worldwide Classics'' stream with Luna has Luna beat Flare in a game of Bowling note . One awesome moment has Luna score 4 strikes in a row, followed by a spare, then another strike, ending with two more strikes on the 10th frame.
  • In another stream with Haato, Luna broke the Hololive record in Bowling with a 199 game. As if that's not enough, Luna beat Haato (or rather Haachama) in Bowling not once but twice!
  • Roberu manages to make it to the final round in Fall Guys and has to contend with two cheaters in a Royal Fumble Finale. He wins, managing to snag the tail at the very last moment. Everyone's Winning Son has claimed victory and it couldn't be sweeter.
  • For her first Modern Warfare stream, Botan manages to score lucky grenade kills after throwing them. Fans immediately believe that if Botan says "Poi" after tossing a grenade in your direction, your career is over.
  • In ARK: Survival Evolved, Coco, Rushia, Subaru, Flare, Aki, and Choco all went out to tame a Titanosaur, which is an incredibly lengthy and highly involved process that requires a great amount of coordination from all parties involved. After 4 hours of fighting it, they finally managed to bring it down, marking one of the greatest achievements for their group in the game. Of special note is Choco, who carried the entire experience through providing nearly everything that the group needed at any given time, including luring it to a clearing to fight it easier as well as making the clearing in the first place.
  • Luna playing Super Metroid and beating Ridley without using Missiles in only her second try against the boss. For those that don't know, Ridley is a tough boss that basically requires the player to fire everything they have as quickly as they can to reduce his health down before he kills you. Most newcomers usually beat Ridley by spamming Missiles, Super Missiles, and their heaviest arsenal. While the Charge Beam can be used, it's seen as inefficient since Missiles do the same amount of damage without charging. It initially appeared that Luna was struggling against Ridley, so the chat recommended her to spam Missiles, but Luna refused (she later explained that she wanted to save Missiles for emergencies, which Ridley definitely is), told the chat to stop telling her to use Missiles, and on her second try beats Ridley using only the Charge Beam. The chat was very impressed that she pulled off such a Self-Imposed Challenge, and Luna (rightfully) gloated about it.
Luna: (imitating chat after winning) "Use missile, use, missile, use missile." SHADDUP!
  • Suisei going through six hours playing Tetris 99 in VIP Mode. After several losses, Suisei's persistence prevents her from quitting, and her chat actually showing concern for her health since she normally sleeps at 10 or 11 PM JST. At that point, her chat went from being concern for her health and well-being to cheering her on. Then Amemiya found out about, and asked whether to snipe or help her on Twitter ("snipe" had the most votes, but she helped regardless). Despite all the struggles on defeating the snipers, Suisei manages to actually win first place despite the hours it took to do so. She also manages to play a game off-stream, and win first place effortlessly.
  • Gura's first game stream involved Maneater, but she didn't fare all too well, especially when she got lost in the overworld or stuck navigating tunnels. She lamented her poor sense of direction, stating that she's a rhythm gamer. The next day, she played Muse Dash and blew away the audience with her prowess - despite being "out of practice", she consistently got high-accuracy near-full combos on Master-difficulty songs!
Gura: That's an apex predator for ya, baby!
  • Korone's playthrough of Super Mario Bros. isn't particularly impressive in itself, but what makes it notable is that she did it almost entirely in English (and a little accidental Spanish), with her challenging herself to not say a single word of Japanese the entire time or else she'll stop the stream, despite the fact she was still having difficulties with the language. While she struggled both with pronouncing the words and avoiding slipping back to her native tongue, she managed to get up to 42 minutes of speaking English before she finally slipped up. And just 19 days before that, Korone hosted a BiliBili-exclusive stream in which she started teaching herself how to speak complete Chinese sentences (with some help from her viewers, naturally) instead of just a few token words that most of the Japanese hololive talents do, in spite of Chinese being widely recognized as one of the hardest languages to pick up due to its age and tone-based, character-heavy nature. She retried this English-only Mario challenge 4 weeks later, and this time she managed to break her previous record, beating the game in 1 1/2 hours without speaking a single Japanese word!
  • Artia's W post. Without context, this makes next to no sense at all, but she later clarified what she was talking about: Hololive CN had participated in a League of Legends tournament and came out victorious, earning new outfits for all participants on the Hololive CN team.
  • Roboco hosts a Yahtzee tournament on Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics, with Suisei acting as the Combat Commentator. The tournament in itself has its share of amazing moments, but in the end, Luna claims first place by beating Matsuri 215 to 98.
  • Calli's second stream of Doom Eternal is marked by her pushing her way through a difficult level (with a controller, a sub-optimal way to play it), leading to the last battle which killed her a few more times. This lasted until she hit her limit, going totally silent as she took on the enemies, as if she'd hit her Rage Breaking Point. She got close to death several times, but kept pulling back with Glory Kills. Only after she's killed all of the demons does she snap out of it, embarrassed at showing "that side" of herself to the chat. Then she finds the quad damage power-up, which would have made the fight more reasonable; the fact that she beat the level without the power-up makes it even more impressive. The chat was quick to call this side of Calli "Reaper Mode", and it's become something of a small Running Gag among the deadbeats that it's her Super Mode.
    • During the sixth stream, Calli goes up against the Marauder, an enemy known for being a nasty Wake-Up Call Boss. After her first attempt at beating the boss goes badly, Calli's second attempt at taking him on ends with her killing the Marauder a bit quicker than she really expected.
  • Pekora and Moona's battle with the Wither in Minecraft came straight out of an anime, beginning with the area around the Wither exploding as Moona attacked it. Pekora and Moona attacked the Wither with flame arrows as it tries to escape by digging through the cave ceiling, raining down debris, and then it decided to attack, destroying Pekora's bed and Moona's chest armor. As the battle goes on a small waterfall came out from all the environmental damage, and as the battle reaches its climax Pekora starts attacking with a sword while Moona pelts it with arrows. After a long and difficult battle, they won, and as Pekora turned around to celebrate she found that Moona is already dead, and among her dropped items is a Wither Rose. The icing on the cake is Pekora screaming out Moona's name as this happens, with Moona's last words in the chatbox as the cherry on top.
    Moona: sorry
    Moona: did we win?
  • Amelia initially admitted that she found Minecraft boring while playing it alone, but all this changed following the English branch's first Minecraft collab. For the following week, after the girls spent hours digging a very long tunnel, she went to stream the game regularly, building on whatever construction projects they had initiated. By the next collab, Amelia had managed to set up a minecart railway system spanning their very long tunnel, facilitating transport between their base and important junctions to points of interest. This goes to show how playing Minecraft with friends provides a different experience.
  • Korone getting an official Easter Egg patched into Doom Eternal alongside the release of its first Downloadable Content. It was so unreal that she didn't believe it until seeing it reported about by Polygon. Sadly, it was removed a few days later.
  • The Among Us collabs allow for some of the participants to pull off amazing feats of deduction or killing efficiency as Crewmate or Impostor respectively.
    • Gura and Botan are both assigned as Impostors in a specific round of the Among Us collab between the 5th Gen and EN. When a dead body was reported for the first time, everyone was shocked at how it's still the first Discussion Time, yet 4 of the 9 participants are already dead; Gura and Botan had managed two double-kills back to back before anyone could even notice. Apex predators, indeed.
    • One of the most feared issues with the aforementioned cross-generation Among Us stream was the fact that the EN group only had one fluently bilingual member (Calli and Ina having varying degrees of conversational understanding of Japanese, Gura and Amelia didn't know any) and none of 5th Gen could understand or speak conversational English. Kiara managed to be a perfect interpreter for both the EN and Holofive side, never giving away any knowledge she might have had by virtue of being eliminated by an Imposter and letting things play out naturally. While it had worked out before with one-on-one translation, this solidified her abilities as a bilingual translator for any future collabs that might be held with the Japanese talent.
    • During the 3rd hololive Among Us collab, Pekora manages to turn a 1v7 situation around by staying beneath notice as the Crewmates started voting themselves off and finished with style by stopping a Reactor Meltdown that would have won the game to go for a Kill Victory instead. While Towa was voted off early after a speedy kill, she proved just as pivotal to the Impostor win via her sabotage, herding the survivors around and maintaining Pekora's alibi through constant door lockdowns and emergencies; one special example involves her directly stopping everyone from approaching Aqua's corpse for a full minute. Quite the turnaround compared to the last time they were Impostors together.
    • Suisei did a great job playing crew in the collab, having multiple times she figures out who the Imposters were by quick deduction. She also had her moment as an Imposter when she kills Miko, then with some luck that Marine had a glitch that registered Miko alive and getting booted out, she quickly built the trust of the other girls, only to end it by killing Noel and yelling "GAME OVER" really loudly into her mic, surprising the other girls.
    • The 4th hololive Among Us collab showed that Beware the Silly Ones was in full effect:
      • Aqua and Polka achieved the first 100% win ratio in a hololive Among Us collab note  using their sharp deductive skills to correctly suss out the Impostors and putting their own Impostor experience to work. They may have a reputation for being silly, but they're very good at putting their minds to accomplishing something.
      • Ayame had only one round as Impostor, but she got a staggering four kills, the record in this session, by herself with virtually zero suspicion on her. She was just one kill away from winning the whole thing only for all tasks to be completed.
    • In the Among Us collab between JP, EN, and ID, Suisei has yet another great game as an Impostor - not only did she kill more people, she also pulls off a successful lie by saying she doesn't speak English, and immediately afterwards managed to trap Gura right on a door, giving her time to savor the moment while a panicked Gura struggles to escape.
  • As part of a promotional stream, Korone played Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and decided to do a full clear of it. Her chat and manager were rightfully worried, as the game takes on average about 30 hours to beat, which would be pushing the limits even for someone like her who is used to long marathon sessions. Korone did it in nine hours.
  • After most of the team is indisposed in Holofive's Left 4 Dead 2 collaboration stream, Botan kills the tank that downed Nene, steps out, and kills a boomer and a jockey solo.
  • The Left 4 Dead 2 Halloween stream with Ina, Amelia, and Gura started off well but fell victim to people invading the game and taking up the AI-controlled slot despite Ame's best attempts to control the situation. This caused the game to stop for a significant length of time during which Amelia attempted to make the game private while Gura and Ina talked among themselves. Eventually, Ame decided to call the Holo-EN manager into the game to take up the slot and put the question to the chat, does the manager play with them or just set to away so AI kicks in, and they chose that they should be an active player. She quickly got dubbed Enma (English Manager) by the chat and stood out for actually playing really well, using healing items appropriately and even managing to fight a tank with 1HP in melee. The subreddit memes flowed quickly. This was later followed up by Ina creating a character design for her on-stream at the fans' request.
  • In the Korone-Calli collaboration streams, where the two play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, they manage to overcome the language barrier Explanation and accomplish surprisingly more successful bomb defusals than even the members of the Japanese branch that played the game in their native language.
  • After a reinvigoration into Minecraft, many of the talent have gone on to make some stunning creations either on their own or with very limited help. It started with Pekora building the Pekodam. Not to be outdone, Miko then built her own mech next to it, dubbed the Mikochar, in reference to the rivalry in Mobile Suit Gundam. Soon after, Subaru made her own as a direct challenge to both Miko and Pekora by putting likenesses of their heads in her mech's hands, in the most impressive display so far in terms of size with the Shubangelion. Haachama would later make her own mech, and finally, Botan aimed her sights squarely at the Shubangelion with her Botanx.
  • Ring Fit Adventure has become infamous for reducing the Hololive girls to panting, broken messes, with most of them exhausted before even reaching the first boss fight. As a result no one really expected much from Gawr Gura, as the three previous Ring Fit streams from the shorter members of the Hololive cast had become infamous for not leaving them with much dignity by the end. It was therefore all the more impressive when she absolutely crushed it, at one point turning up the difficulty to maximum because she felt it wasn't challenging enough and still beating the boss on her first try. She only added to the achievement by hosting another Ring Fit stream just ten hours later, seemingly none the worse for wear. Of course, the surprise strain finally caught up for her a little later. The game also embarrassed some of the girls as they inadvertently revealed their actual ages and weight despite attempts to conceal them. Gura sidestepped the issue by putting the maximum allowed age (99 years old). The only person to come out of that situation better was Sora, who hid nothing and was very nonchalant about it.
  • Amelia, while playing Outer Wilds, decides to land on the Sun Station, a feat frequently considered That One Achievement due to the number of factors that can go wrong. She's also playing on keyboard, which is less favorable for a game calibrated to a controller. The chat initially brushes it off as an impossible task, but as she continues to make progress, the hopeful few start showing their support with #AmeBeliever and the rest of the audience slowly joins in. After one hour of repeated attempts, she pulled it off. (or see here for a video that enhances it with "No Time for Caution")
    • The next stream managed to be both funny and awesome with her attempt to reach the Black Hole Forge. Normally, that's done through a puzzle involving a moving structure and a teleporter on another planet, which allows you to bypass a Broken Bridge and reach the gravity-flipped building. Ame, after struggling quite a while over the puzzle, eventually succeeded... by driving her ship straight into Brittle Hollow, flipping it upside-down, and landing on the ceiling.
  • On December 14, 2020, Miko was doing a solo Minecraft stream when Google's servers went down, disrupting the streams of many others, including Temma, Ina, Rushia, and Gen 5, all of whom were on at the time. Many viewers were disconnected until about 6,000 remained in the chat, but the stream somehow continued. Moona was also in the server, playing but not streaming, so the two decided to truck on despite the situation and build a Christmas bazaar. Services were restored just as they finished their construction. Elite indeed.
  • Reine's stream of Passpartout sees her put out 24 paintings over three hours (meaning that, on average, she only spent seven and a half minutes on each one), each one of them on par with Marine's work and selling enough such that she didn't need to worry too much about bills. The game's subtitle of "Starving Artist" has nothing on her.
  • During a Minecraft stream, Botan gets attacked by a Ghast just after entering the Nether. Almost instantly, she draws her bow and shoots it, unintentionally shooting the fireball mid-flight and sending it right back at the Ghast. The "Return to Sender" achievement pops up, leaving the chat in awe. Botan just goes about her business like it's nothing special.
  • At the start of 2021 Coco, Miko, and Pekora all did playthroughs of Yakuza games. For Coco it was an enjoyable romp through her most beloved franchise as she played the fourth game. For Miko and Pekora who both played Yakuza 0, it quickly became an adrenaline-fueled bloodbath as both became engrossed in the over-the-top violence and heat actions. Miko especially went hardcore, frequently forgoing special moves in favor of simply beating her enemies into the ground. She especially resorted to Kiryu's beast style as a default...largely so she could pick up heavy objects and gleefully smack large crowds of goons with them. During the Tojo Headquarters fight she's in her element, beating katana-wielding yakuza with random lamps, faceplanting enemies into walls, and laughing in sheer abandon throughout.
  • Subaru reaches the first boss of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Odolwa, and is faced with his Spin Attack. Instead of blocking it with her shield, trying to move out of the way, or any other sensible answer, she panics and perfectly executes a dozen backflips over Odolwa's sword. She had to pause the game in shock over what just happened while the chat was erupting into cheers.
  • Suisei's greatest victory is in the 2021 hololive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe New Years' collaboration. After advancing into the winner's bracket, she would take the overall points lead going into the final race, with her 5 points ahead of Aqua. An eighth-place finish, after having lost multiple places from getting shelled twice seconds before she could get across the line, threatened to rob her of her points lead and potential victory, but Fubuki denying Aqua of the final podium spot literally just before the latter crossed the line meant that Suisei won the tournament by one point. This was a complete surprise to both her and her chat that she started crying Tears of Joy.
  • During a Minecraft stream, Ollie and the skeleton horse she had recieved as a gift from Miko got attacked by a horde of zombies. When her chat informed her that Ollie was in danger, Miko promptly dropped what she was doing and flew to Ollie's rescue, killing the zombies before flying off again. Fans were quick to make comparisons to super heroes like Superman.
    <kureijiollie> MY HEROOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Kanata playing Doki Doki Literature Club! and fully voice-acting the entire thing by herself. She effortlessly switches between voices for the characters and shows incredible acting skill, properly conveying the characters' emotions and keeping each character's voice consistent even with the constant switching voices. Plenty of people in the chat were confused, thinking that the game got a fully-voiced update. That's how good it was.
  • After Haato had started streaming Minecraft again, instead of the now-normal Haachama, a sudden late-night English-only stream only referred to as the "debut stream" note  showed up on February 5, 2021, during which Haachama and Haato would wrestle control over the stream, starting with a caged Haato showing up as Haachama attempted to stream and culminating in a "duet" note  of both Haato and Haachama Rickrolling the audience and ending with Haato tricking Haachama into fading away after singing the song "Faded". The chat was wild the entire stream and the crowd was forced to choose between Haato and Haachama with the new hashtags #FREEHAATO and #ONLYHAACHAMA being invented to express this with a subsequent r/hololive subreddit poll showing support split just about 50/50 throughout the day. Because of the karaoke nature of the stream, and the copyrighted nature of the songs within it, there was no archive of it and it was abridged into a #FREEHAATO video.
  • Making and timing a proper song with Minecraft's note blocks is a really complex process. But Watame pulls it off, assembling a Tsunomaki Rock-Paper-Scissors machine complete with her song. It's effectively a tourist attraction on the holoserver, with several of the girls swinging by to try it out, including Miko, Botan, Pekora, and Roboco.
  • During her Papers, Please stream, Calli demonstrates her sharpshooting skills with a mouse. The first time she gets access to the gun, she takes down a terrorist breaking past the border in a single shot with very little wasted time.
  • Gura proposes a playthrough of Minecraft on Hardcore difficulty. Despite her track record of ill luck in normal gameplay, here she lasts an impressive three hours, outlasting 80% of her audience's survival predictions, on top of finding iron, diamonds, and establishing an Enchanting Table!
  • Risu manages to survive Haachama Death Coaster by jumping out of the cart at the last second and steer her fall so that she hits the berry bush which will negate the fall damage.
  • While playing Hollow Knight, Ina managed to beat the Soul Master (which usually takes many, many tries) on her first try.
  • Several of the girls have played through the No Mercy route of Undertale, and the major stumbling blocks, Undyne the Undying and Sans, take a lot of attempts to clear - usually over 100 for the latter. Marine's experience with Bullet Hell games really shines here, as she learns the attacks quickly and beats Undyne in just seven tries, and Sans in twenty-two, leading to her beating both the No Mercy route and the Hard mode Easter Egg in only one 8+-hour stream. Marine's run was so impressive, it hit #5 trending for Gaming in YouTube Japan, reached one million views within 24 hours, and even had Undertale creator Toby Fox watching the stream, with Toby personally sending her a DM afterwards to give her permission to stream Deltarune.
    • Of note is Marine's 10th attempt at fighting Sans. Even though it was her first time reaching his final attack sequence, she was one laser dodge away at beating him then and there. Her 22nd attempt was actually just her second time reaching his final sequence, and she had already managed to memorize his pattern enough to beat it with a sliver of health remaining.
    • On the other end of the scale but by no means any less impressive, Kanata defeated Sans after 342 attempts and 31 hours. What makes it impressive is that the first time she faced Sans she sat at it for 13 hours before leaving for a break. The next time she booted up the game, the remaining 18 or so hours was spent fighting him with no breaks, she was determined to take him down no matter what, despite the chat telling her to rest. Kanata personifies determination, she didn't give up, and when she finally took him down, the chat flooded with superchats and cries of joy for their angel. She even took to Reddit to thank everyone for their support, saying how grateful she was to have everyone spend such a long time with her and even made a point of saying how happy she was to have international fans with her. note  What makes this even more impressive is that Kanata is a relatively new gamer, having only touched a console game after she debuted as a VTuber for example. Despite this inexperience, she still managed to beat Sans while streaming through sheer grit and determination.
    • Not wanting to be left behind, Flare proceeds to beat Sans four times in a single stream! It should be noted that during this stream Flare went from dying to Sans a total of 23 times in her first run, down to only dying twice in her fourth!
    • After Flare beat the Pacifist route on Switch, she returned to her PC file to fight Sans again for fun. Despite being out of pratice, she managed to win first try. It got to the point where the chat was more afraid for Sans than of him.
  • After around 24 combined hours of grinding, Astel became the first HoloPro member to reach Master rank on-stream in Apex Legends on March 15, 2021 with Izuru and VTuber Utai Meika as part of his ranked team.
  • During the April 1, 2021 Jackbox collab, the HoloMyth cast plays Champ'd Up, where they draw champions to compete for unusual titles. When a player draws a challenger, they get to see the opponent they're facing, but not the title they're vying for. One matchup shows Enma vs. J-Chad, and when the title was unveiled as "Champion of Middle Management", the audience went wild as there could not be a more fitting title for the two to fight over. It was also one of the closest victories, with Enma barely winning with 5,660 votes to J-Chad's 5,015.
  • While playing Mega Man, Korone eventually faces the Yellow Devil, which destroys her at first. However, the way it moves from one side of the screen to the other block by block is fixed, so Korone goes out of her way to learn the movement pattern, and through practice eventually manages to dodge enough blocks to outlast the boss. It's notable in that several players will instead use the Pause Trick to beat the boss by increasing the amount of damage that can be done with a single attack, significantly decreasing the dodging you need to do.
  • Subaru managing to clear Megaman 2. Emphasis has to be given to the fact that Subaru is not an avid gamer like other members, so while she started on a completely disastrous note, she ended up persevering and winning by her own skill and avoided being tempted by the possibility of abusing save states, a feature of the port she was playing. While she struggled all the way, seeing her grow from absolutely inept to fairly competent and eventually taking the victory is an inspiring sight.
  • During an Among Us stream on April 21, 2021, Kiara was faced with a very even game between Imposters and Crewmates. While Kiara and her fellow Crewmates were close to a task win, the Imposters only needed one double kill to win and were covering their tracks well. Despite this, Kiara manages to correctly spitball that White was an Imposter based on little more than their silence and the inability of others to vouch for them.
  • Kanata fighting off her first Teostra in Monster Hunter: Rise ended on a truly glorious note. After half an hour of intense battle, she starts wondering out loud if the nearby Magnamalo could be nice and come help. It immediately does so, turning the final battle from a harrowing struggle to a ridiculously cool brawl between two giant exploding lions, with Kanata riding one of them. She even gets the killing blow perfectly with the final hit of the Wyvern Riding's Finishing Move. Everybody started joking about how this felt less like regular MH gameplay and more right out of Monster Hunter: Stories.
    Kanata: KANAMAGA TEETEE!
  • Ame caps off her final Super Mario Sunshine stream by doing the dreaded pachinko level. She ends up beating it without dying a single time, and using the Rocket Nozzle.
  • Gura returned to Friday Night Funkin' now using the proper Newgrounds version and having some practice under her belt. She showed off that she can easily beat MILF now, but still has trouble with Week 7 (specifically Guns). Then when the chat told her that she can change the perspective from up-scrolling to down-scrolling, she did so and proceeded to utterly dominate Week 7.
  • In Resident Evil Village, most of the time when the Hololive members play this game, they will often get frightened and scream from the various scares. However, in Botan's case, she wasn't fazed at all in her playthrough. Notable mentions are the window jumpscare scene and the encounter in the Beneviento house. Lionheart indeed.
  • Gura streams Subnautica: Below Zero for the first time. Despite being relatively unfamiliar with the game note , she doesn't die once in her five hours of gameplay, an impressive feat considering how easy it is just to drown in regular gameplay, to say nothing of her many brushes with hostile fauna, up to and including the Ice Worm Leviathan.
  • In late June 2021, Astel participated in the Kagayaki Cup along with Apex veterans Shirayuki Reid and Noahnote  as the hilariously named '白雪レイドを救いたい'note , and through their efforts, emerged as the tournament's champions by a single point. Notable moments include winning a scrim round with a whopping 20 combined kills (with Astel contributing to 12 of them), and Astel carrying his team to 2nd place despite having to go solo for majority of the final round, which arguably earned him the deciding points needed to cinch first in the tourney.
  • To celebrate reaching 1.5 million subscribers, Fubuki holds a Minecraft speedrun, and finishes it in 3 and a half hours. She slays the Ender Dragon in a Double Knockout with two back-to-back bed explosions.
  • After breeding over 3200 axolotls without a single blue in sight (top of Marine getting one before her, at her home and on her PC, no less), Kanata's efforts bore fruit, and she was frantically scrambling to get a reservoir to put the blue axolotl hatchling in. Not only that, but she hit the 50% RNG jackpot and bred another one, thus ending the stream on a high note.
  • Ollie takes part in Chess.com "Tournament Arc 2" Chess tournament, and manages to beat her first opponent by sometimes making her moves so fast her opponent barely has time to think or read her.
    • In one match, a series of blunders essentially leaves her with just her king against her opponent's barely-touched forces, but she dodges a loss when Kizzle Kay (proflic US anime fighting game competitor and streamer) with many possible routes to checkmate, makes a blunder that triggers a stalemate instead!
    • The above tie that she happened to trigger sends her match into a tiebreaker sudden death round, where both players get a very limited time in total, no way to replenish it, and the first to run out loses if no checkmate is done. Ollie's own speed earns her a victory by time!
  • During the tenth and final match of the Apex Legends collab between Towa, Roboco and Amelia, the former straight up deletes an entire squad to obtain victory, scoring a total of 1000 damage in 40 seconds.
  • After talking about facing the Ender Dragon as a group together for many months, making it the pinnacle of HoloMyth's own Minecraft adventures before they finally connected with the vastly more advanced JP server, the girls finally did it. Even with a few bad luck moments against them - their End Portal having no pre-set pearls, although Ina came prepared with just enough eyes to fill it, their spawning platform was unfortunately close to the main island, triggering the dragon to start attacking instantly, and a few girls having to mess around with their shaders mid fight when the End had an unfortunate haze over it that made it difficult to see - all of the prep work done beforehand by Ina and Kiara came in handy with the extra potions and armour they had, plus all their enchanted tools. A big highlight moment had to be Gura coming in clutch with the common speedrun strategy of using exploding beds to do massive damage on the boss, with everyone then hitting the boss with whatever tool they could - a shovel and a bucket in Calli and Amelia's cases, and Ina resorted to her own bow in lieu of a sword - until it was defeated.
    • A smaller, yet still noteworthy feat in the journey, Amelia was the first to touch ground in the End and made the first steps towards making their platform larger and beginning a bridge with blocks, making the progress smoother for the others to follow her.
  • Kiara's dream came true when she was named an official ambassador for Tales of Arise, having long been a fan of the Tales Series. Along with getting to showcase an in-depth preview, she got the chance to interview the game's producer Tomizawa Yusuke.
  • For her final round of Gartic Phone, Kiara gets a little fed up with all the stickmen from the general viewers, and so decides to recruit a Twitter fanartist. Or eight. In what can be described as an "Avengers Assemble" moment, Kiara puts together one of the most impressively illustrated sessions, concluding the stream on a high note.
  • Sora's streams of the remastered Romancing SaGa 3 had her playing the game in a knowledgeable fashion (having read guides), using a number of hidden things (Ellen's martial arts talent, managing the game's Event Rank, etc) and informing the chat about them. Some of the Japanese viewers were asking her to do speedrun it, which she refused stating she prefers to enjoy the story and not feeling strong enough to try. All this is surprising as Sora doesn't really have a reputation as a gamer, and the game in question is a rather difficult one.
  • Aqua speed runs the Sephiroth challenge in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and beats it in only 17.55 seconds on VERY HARD without taking any damage. That run was her fourth time. Bonus points for doing it with Cloud to boot.
  • Ina's 6th and final stream of The Wonderful 101 showed that she did improve and managed to get some good rankings on missions, even after spending a month not playing it between streams 4 & 5. Especially since the game is notorious for its Tutorial Failure.
  • In this stream, Botan sets up a "Sticks and Stones" round (both sides are limited to knives and crossbow) with Choco, Luna, and Subaru. She even goes so far as make it 1 vs 3 (her against them) and limits herself to knives to make it a remotely fair match in theory. In reality, it's a lopsided massacre in her favor, as Botan expertly maneuvuers and lands her attacks, all while laughing. Comparisons of "a predator and its prey" are apt.
  • For the Gen 3 semi-hardcore adventure in Minecraft where they only have two lives and then they're out, Rushia is the first to die right off the bat because a Creeper decided to spawn where the rest spawned. She and the gang make it to the Ender Dragon and nearly killed the Ender Dragon, only dying thanks to the dragon's flames.
  • Ina dominated the EN + ID Mario Kart Tournament, made more remarkable in that for a while she wasn't the greatest player of the game, but she had drifting click combined with some time attack training. With those two things, she became proficient enough to win the individual cup, and carry her teams to victory. IRyS and Reine didn't trail far behind, either, with the both of them consistently placing in the top bracket (Reine moreso for scoring third place overall despite all the disconnections); coincidentally, both IRyS and Reine had trained together the day before the big tournament.
  • On August 31, 2021, Aqua became the first hololive member to beat Minecraft's Ender Dragon on Hardcore Mode, while solo no less!
  • Miko's month-long journey to defeat the Ender Dragon on Hardcore Mode solo reaches its conclusion on September 1st, 2021, making her the second hololive member after Aqua to complete the mode all alone.
  • Two days after Miko's accomplishment, Kanata also put an end to her month-long solo Hardcore Mode suffering by defeating the Ender Dragon.
  • In the 9/20/2021 Mario Kart 8 collaboration, Bushimachi Suisei leads her team (Fubuki and Aki) to victory, getting a perfect 60 on the final race of the game. Meanwhile, AkiRose went from being in the last place to sixth in the final race.
Towa: Sui-chan, you're too strong. What's with the sudden awakening?
  • Although it had been quite some time since Kronii had played Hollow Knight (albeit off stream), not only did she handle the Mantis Lords in one try, she did so without having died at all until that point.
  • Mumei's streams of Passportout show her artistic ability and range, from a rather cursed CatDog drawing to stunning eye close-ups of Sana and Suisei, with the latter liking both pieces (Sana in chat and the Her own in a tweet). She progresses through the acts with quite some ease and gets enough from what she does sell to be comfortable. First Stream, Second Stream, Third Stream
  • Sora curb stomping Pekora in a game of darts is a sight to behold. In fact, Sora even claims that her highest is 705note .
  • Gura and Ame were sponsored to play Cookie Run: Kingdom. At one point they use the gacha, and end up getting Pure Vanilla, the absolute rarest Cookie you can get in the game (at the time). He has a pull rate of 0.054%.
  • Against all odds, Noel actually manages to win the first Blitzball game against the Luca Goers in Final Fantasy X.
  • Fauna clears Minecraft in about 2 hours and 41 minutes, including moments where she stepped away from the game to attend to her pet cat or check a guide and left the time running. This comes in second to Aqua's time of 2 hours 16 minutes.
  • Hololive EN's October 23 Among Us collab saw a number of awesome moments.
    • Ina's second round sweep. For the entire round, she plays a very convincing timid act to get everyone to drop their guard at just the right time. This allowed her take out crewmates almost singlehandedly (the one crewmate she didn't kill was Ame, who was taken out early by Calli) with almost no one suspecting her. In fact, the crewmates mistakenly vote off Mumei, the one person who did suspect her . The biggest highlight was her kill on Bae, who, despite starting to suspect Ina, falls for her act after she resolves the Avert Crash Course task and ends up being her victory-clinching kill. Even her victims couldn't help but be impressed with her acting.
Ina: Kiara, I'm scared! Kiar—No, don't come near me, Bae!
Bae: Wait wait! Ina, it's not me! No no, I'm serious! It's not me!
Ina: Are you sure?! Are you sure?! How do you prove it's not you?!
Bae: It's either you or Kiara! It's either you or Kiara! [Killed by Ina. Immediately transitions to defeat screen] I fucking knew it!
      Ina: G! G!
Kronii: Whoa,[...]that is some crazy acting!
      IRyS: Whoa, she's so good!
Calli: [clapping] God, Ina is such a pro!
    • In the third round, Gura stumbles upon Kiara's body that Ina just killed and reports it, but Ina is quicker on the draw and manages to throw suspicion on Gura. The suspicion mounts as the game goes on, until everyone steers clear of Gura whenever she comes into view. Luckily, Kronii catches Gura in the middle of a task, and after a bit of eavesdropping concludes that she's innocent. When the two meet, Kronii voices her trust in Gura, and affirms it when she vouches for Gura's innocence in the next meeting. Gura mounts her comeback when she checks the cameras and sees Ina and IRyS go in one direction, and just Ina returning in the other direction. With Kronii close by, the two trace the path and find IRyS' corpse, and now with solid proof and a witness in hand Gura manages to get Ina ejected and her name totally cleared.
    • In the final round, Gura and Calli are left as the only crewmates with IRyS as the imposter, having killed all of Council plus Ame (Ina killed Kiara, but was outed). As Gura finishes a task, she realizes that IRyS is right on top of her and makes a mad dash for the emergency button, hitting it just in time to expose IRySnote . It's especially awesome when watching from the point of view of all the dead EN members, who watched the entire chase unfold and cheered on the little shark.
    • IRyS' killing spree in the final round was incredibly impressive. She had managed to kill the entirety of Council in a single round without being discovered, mostly due to Obfuscating Stupidity. She stalled for time whenever she was alone in a room with her next victim, often asking them a question to keep them distracted and then killing them mid-sentence once off cooldown.
  • Calli finally makes it to the top in Jump King, clocking in at 18 hours 42 minutes across three streams of unwavering determination (less, if you discount her attempts at the DLC maps and the times she stops to chat with other members entering the call). Of mention is the final stretch, where she clears the final tower in 5 minutes without any terrible blunders!
  • Though it crosses over into hilarity, Bae's performance in the 2021 Minecraft Sports Festival's PvP match is most definitely this. While her opponents were distracted by attempting to invade her team's side, Bae rushed into their end of the field and made off with all of their diamonds, as well as a significant amount of the lower value raw gold and raw iron.
Mio: ... calling her the MVP wouldn't be an overstatement at all, right?
    • The very first event of the festival is an Obstacle Course race that sees Fubuki and Watson both run the course almost perfectly and both finishing so quickly that they left everybody in their dust. Amelia finished 2nd and still beat Korone's 3rd place time by almost a full minute and their finishes weren't even caught on camera from most of the POVs because most of the assigned camera crew couldn't keep up with them.
  • Sana decides to do an endurance stream, planning to complete Kirby's Return to Dream Land 100% in a single sitting, and she came prepared, having food at the ready so she wouldn't have to step away. It took over 11 hours, but she accomplished her goal.
  • Many members of Hololive and Holostars streamed Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl when it came out. Highlights include:
    • Shion got the game right at midnight JST on its release date and streamed for close to 11 hours, then came back with another stream of over 9 and a half hours at midnight the following day that ended with her becoming Champion before the US-based Gura's Day 1 stream even started.
    • Pekora, Calli, Ollie, Rushia, Gura, Fauna, IRyS, and Roboco all engaged in Self Imposed Challenges.
      • Pekora, Calli, and Ollie all did Nuzlockes.
      • Calli was dreading her final showdown with Cynthia, and for good reason. However, she and chat came up with a strategy to buff up her Garchomp (named Notorious GIB) on Cynthia's Spiritomb lead. While she's buffing GIB's Special Defense to withstand more than 2 hits from Spiritomb's attacks, Spiritomb lands a Critical Hit which would be a lethal Armor-Piercing Attack... but GIB held on with a Last Chance Hit Point due to The Power of Friendship, which gave the opportunity for one last heal before singlehandedly sweeping through Cynthia's team.
      • While eschewing the "only catch the first thing you encounter on a new route" aspect of Nuzlocking, Rushia joined her two HoloDEATH compatriots in permadeath, going the extra step of releasing any Pokémon that fainted*:
      • Gura and Fauna both embraced their lore and did monotype runs, using only Water-types* and Grass-types respectively.
      • IRyS did a "Lorelocke" - in addition to the usual rule of permanently benching fainted Pokémon, she also only used Pokémon who connected to her or her lore in some way, be it through their typing, moveset, or some other reason.
      • Roboco didn't evolve any of her Pokémon, with a focus on using the especially statistically weak "baby" Pokémon.
    • Fubuki was a bit behind most of the other girls on getting off to a proper start...because she spent two days resetting for a shiny Chimchar. As it turns out, she was actually going for the "full shiny team" challenge, adding a shiny Shinx a couple of days later.
    • While Sana decided to play casually, she also stated her goal was to complete the Pokedex, complete the story, and start breeding for competitive battles. The fact that she spent the rest of the week after getting permission to stream Pokémon doing just that seems to show that she won't back down from this.
    • While hunting for legendaries in her November 28 stream, Shion managed to catch Rayquaza with a single Quickball right at the start of the fight. Because of the odds of a Quickball catching a Pokémon from full health (and an Olympus Mons at that) being exceedingly low, the speechless Shion had to double check if the Rayquaza wasn't a dud.
      • Ditto for Kiara as well with the same Quickball towards Palkia while she was trying to end her stream so she can make some food.
    • Shion yet again, needing only 10 minutes to end her Feebas endurance challenge
    • After a couple disastrous attempts to do it the normal way, Miko managed to catch Palkia with only a Quick Ball. Judging by her reaction, she clearly didn't think this would work, and spend the next couple of minutes chanting praises to the Quick Ball.
    • Calli manages to get a Shiny Giratina after 1680 resets. Her reaction mimicking Cr1TiKaL says it all.
    • While hunting for a shiny Feebas on December 26, Lamy instead encounters a golden Magikarp one hour into her stream. And it happened again on her New Year's stream.
    • While Sana is hunting for shinies alongside Ina on January 3, 2022 (Sana is resuming her search for a shiny Rayquaza, while Ina is on a Feebas hunt), the Speaker of Space finally finds her prey three hours into the hunt. Despite initially being caught off guard by the Rayquaza constantly using Rest whenever it wakes up, Sana manages to catch it with a Luxury Ball without dragging the fight for too long. Ina even has to tell Sana to calm down and breathe after the adrenaline rush. Some time later into the collab, Ina would also find the Feebas that eluded her for so long.
  • While playing Yacht with Ollie in their December 2 51 Worldwide Classics collab, Kronii manages to score a Yacht with the very last roll of the final round, getting the final Five needed to complete the other four Fives she grabbed during the first roll of that round and overtaking Ollie 196 to 179 when Kronii was previously down 146-179.
  • Iroha's manager imposed a restriction of not streaming Final Fantasy XIV (something she claims to greatly like and excel in her introduction) until she beats the notriously hard Jump King. On the fifth stream, nearly three weeks after being issued the challenge (and several other streams in between), she manages to get to the top of the Tower with a total time of 10 hours, 44 minutes and 8 seconds. In those streams, Iroha also demonstrated impressive adaptability, rapidly climbing back up to the spot she last fell and quickly learning the trickier mechanics like the Blue Ruins' slippery footings. Less than a handful of hours after she completed the game, Iroha went back through it in a Time Trial off-stream. Her result? 21 minutes, 51 seconds. The Samurai has more than answered Calli's Jump God question above with her skill and speed. On December 30, Iroha managed to clear an off-stream speedrun under ten minutes, easily putting her in the top 500 worldwide.
  • After Iroha's success, Botan attempted a Christmas Eve Jump King endurance stream, with the catch that she'll have to cut it short if she can't clear it before a NePoLaBo collab at noon on Christmas. Thankfully, Botan's gaming skills power through and set a new record at 8 hours, 21 minutes and 48 seconds, all in one sitting and just a little bit past midnight Christmas JST time.
  • As if to escalate the Jump King times in the wake of Iroha's incredible prowess, Calli decided to improve her time on-stream on December 30. After four hours wherein she struggled to beat her personal best of 13:32.260, Calli went above and beyond and cleared the game in 7:56.748!
  • The 2022 New Year's Mario Kart tournament:
    • Okayu ends up winning the whole thing, dethroning the previous champion Suisei despite the latter utterly dominating her Preliminary Round Group B with 74 points, the highest among all preliminary round finishes. Crosses over with CMOF when you realize that she won the championship with 69 points.
    • When the preliminary draw was announced, Group B was considered a "Group of Death" for including Suisei, Towa, Aqua, and Pekora; with only the top 3 spots available to advance to the final many holomembers and fans thought there was little chance for anyone else to get through. Yet Gura, who started out not even knowing how to drift and had expressed despair at being placed in that group, managed to advance with a 3rd place finish, just 1 point ahead of Pekora with whom she was tied with points-wise going into the final race at Mute City and just managed to pass in the final turn of the final lap. Gura ended up finishing 4th overall.
    • Aki not placing in the Zako Cup is one considering her Mario Kart history is generally last place, thus an easy Zako Cup favorite. In fact, in one race, she managed to get near the front of the pack, surprising Suisei and Aqua. And her recent on-screen training was limited due to her spending time with her family most of the week before the tournament.
    • Mio suffered a disconnect during the 4th race of Group C qualifying and was sent down to Zako Cup, and she proved she didn't really belong there by steamrolling the competition, 17 points clear of the second place finisher. The Zako Cup also showed that the real "Group of Death" was Group D, as the trio from that group finished 2-3-4.
  • Aqua's return to Apex Legends after a year showed how well she honed her skills during her time away from streaming it: one casual champion, two ranked champions, two kill leaders to the cheers of around 30 thousand viewers.
  • Eight hours into her first Pokémon Legends: Arceus stream (fresh off from Nintendo trading hololive's streaming permits away from Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in favour of this game), Sana manages to catch a Togekiss while it's flying. What's more impressive is that Sana managed to sequence break into the late-game area in the first place, with Togekiss being level 43 while the rest of her team isn't even level 20.
  • On February 4, 2022, Aqua would finally achieve one of the goals she set for herself since she picked up Apex Legends. That is, reach Master Rank all by herself through solo play. At the end of the stream, she also made a montage of the clips taken during her grind towards that achievement, set to the tune of Calli's "Red".
  • While the session was not free of her usual ponkotsu moments, Miko was non-ironically elite during the February 13, 2022 Among Us collab. She stack kills Chloe and gets Fubuki, who reported the body, to immediately accuse Lamy before anyone else spoke at the meeting, but what happened next was truly amazing. Earlier in the game, Lamy had said that she'd be fine getting voted out alongside Koyori, a fact that Polka brought up at that meeting. Polka also made sure to ask Lamy who she was voting for. The fact that the game was still going with only 3 players remaining meant that Lamy could not possibly have been an impostor, as that would've ended the game as soon as Chloe died, and by extension, that she was completely correct about Koyori. And even though neither Lamy nor Miko herself leveled a single accusation in Fubuki's direction in that meeting, Miko was somehow able to convince Polka to vote Fubuki off.
  • Elden Ring provides many opportunities for the girls to show their skills:
    • Frequently the streamer faces the Tree Sentinel just out the gate, and through perseverance and patience, defeat it anyway.
      • After three hours of trial and error, Botan takes it down with just her starting stats and gear!
      • For her first Elden Ring stream, Miko spends about four hours trying to beat the Tree Sentinel a mere hour after having started the game, and when she does, it's without any level up or new equipment, and without taking any damage from the boss whatsoever!
      • After 401 deaths while trying to beat the Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring with just a club and at level 1, AkiRose, who's very much a newbie to Soulsborne games, becomes the first holomember to accomplish just that.
      • Calli hosts a race where she, Ina, and IRyS have to defeat the Tree Sentinel while starting as a Wretch and using only the club. No other restrictions are imposed, though the girls still take on the Tree Sentinel without going out of their way to find easy upgrades. IRyS finishes in first place at 2 hours!
      • Bijou demonstrates her experience with this game by defeating the Tree Sentinel at her very base level within about an hour of play.
    • Margit is a major Wake-Up Call Boss to encourage players to explore the rest of Limgrave and come back with more upgrades and stats under their belt — the expected level to beat him is at level 25. This doesn't stop the talents from beating him underlevelled:
      • For someone who's completely new to FromSoftware's "Soulsborne" formula, IRyS was off to a great start on her first Elden Ring stream, managing to defeat Margit the Fell Omen at level 13 and without any upgraded weapon. Her second stream has her clutch a win against Godrick the Grafted with literally one HP left!
      • After clearing the "tutorial fight above" with the Tree Sentinel, Botan progresses to Margit, demonstrating amazing patience and ability to learn his moveset and defeating him at level 13 with just 8 deaths.
      • Considering Elden Ring was Reine's first "Souls game", and she was facing Margit, a boss that took several other members of hololive anywhere from one to three hours to beat, most of her viewers were expecting the fight to take most of the rest of the stream, if she could manage to beat him at all. She won in under seven minutes, on her third attempt. Made even better by the Badass Boast she delivered at the start of the fight to counter Margit's Pre-Asskicking One-Liner.
Margit: Someone must extinguish thy flame.
Reine: Oh yeah? Well I'll extinguish your life! I'll extinguish your life, you watch your mouth!
      • While she goes through most of the rest of the game with proper equipment, AkiRose continues to demonstrate the might of Mukirose by defeating Margit at level 11, without any armor and with an un-upgraded club!
      • With her newfound Meteorite Staff and Rock Sling spell, Bijou challenges Margit, who still gives her a run for her money. It takes her at least 20 attempts, but Bijou trumps him while even at level 15!
    • Starscourge Radahn is essentially a raid boss that requires a lot of assistance to take down. This doesn't stop him from being bested:
      • Ina solos General Radahn with a level 50 character. It takes her 58 tries to take him down, but her sheer determination ultimately sees her come out on top.
      • Noel fights him solo using only a mace and shield. Having heard that Radahn was recently nerfed, she also handicaps herself by taking off her character's armor, and eventually comes out on top!
      • On Calli's April 8th stream, she manages to beat the recently buffed General Radahn after only a few attempts, the first member of hololive to do so.
      • Miko faces Radahn and hams it up, revelling in the festival atmosphere, cheering on her fellow fighters, and even channeling Erwin at one point. Eventually she mixes it up by holding off on summons entirely, and later choosing to fight him solo from his second phase onwards. The whole experience is as funny as it is dramatic and awesome.
      • Amelia tackles Radahn in her own way, darting across the battlefield on horseback and peppering him with poison and bleed arrows, letting the status ailments do most of the heavy lifting. She eventually emerges victorious, only lamenting missing out on using her Ground Pound to finish him off.
    • Later in her run, Botan makes it to Miquella's Haligtree while being under level 90, when the optimal level for that area is around 100-120. She still gets by with proper stat allocation and clever maneuvering to bypass enemies, at one point hopping over and dodging around enemies under heavy fire to grab the loot without really thinking about it.
    • After clocking in nearly 13 hours on the boss across multiple streams, Noel manages to defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella via Mutual Kill (the Scarlet Rot buildup eventually caught up to Noel's character seconds after Malenia fell) and without resorting to any cheesing or overpowered abilities; just a simple build focused around great hammers and Strength.
    • Though she did have the help of her Mimic Tear, Reine bested Malenia at a mere level 107 in 24 attempts. See the successful attempt (timestamped) here!
    • In a great show of determination, Calli spends 12 hours non-stop working to beat Malenia, and lands the final blow mere minutes before she hits the streaming limit!
    • The game pulls no punches with its Final Boss, and it's always an awesome moment when the talent becomes Elden Lord.
      • May 1st is when Noel became the first hololive member (holostars aside) to defeat the final boss completely solo, staying true to her muscle-brained build of enormous strength and dual great hammers. This ends a playthrough that clocks in at 137 hours (including the the aforementioned Malenia fight and a fight against Rykard without the Serpent-Hunter). Her Rune rewards for defeating the final boss are spent at what she does best — pushing her Strength to the absolute limit.
      • Botan is second of the girls to take the title of Elden Lord, defeating the final boss in 32 tries at level 124, still with her lightly-armored, funnily-dressed old man.
      • Reine spends her final stream barrelling through the final levels, eventually flooring the bosses at level 133 with the might of the Blasphemous Blade!
      • After numerous defeats at the hands of the final boss, Koyori manages to defeat it with the assistance of Black Knife Tiche, coming out victorious with no remaining healing charges and a sliver of health left!
      • After no fewer than twenty-seven tries, Calli becomes the first HoloEN member to put down the final boss, with an utter nailbiter of a final battle in which she was out of healing items and down to the last 20% of her health by the end.
      • After several several streams of playing through nearly every sidequest, Amelia finishes her run by ground pounding not just Radagon, but the Elden Beast as well!
  • Fauna engages in an endurance stream to obtain the Golden Pot in Getting Over It, starting with only 10 of the requisite 50 clears. With every fifth run having an added challenge selected by a wheel, under threat of having to spin a second wheel for a penalty game. She completes the requisite 40 runs in under the 12-hour maximum for a single stream.
  • Iroha's April 4, 2022 stream of Jump King sees her struggle through the game several times throughout her challenge to beat her personal best time, only to pull it down at the end of the gaming portion by 1 minute 40 seconds from 9:16 to 7:35.753, surpassing Calli's earlier record by 21 seconds!
  • When Gura announced she would be playing Project Wingman for April 19th, 2022, the developers took notice. The voice actors for Kaiser and Galaxy, along with three of the developers, and the soundtrack's composer were all present at certain points during her pre-chat and the stream itself.
  • Amelia played the VR game Eye of the Temple and went above & beyond with the setup. Using her official 3D model in the corner with her low-poly 3D model in the game, and a screen showing her POV. It was like Amelia Inception.
  • Nene VS Suisei in their Taiko no Tatsujin battle where both got a perfect score. Suisei ended up winning due to having more "Great" points than Nene but it was a very close fight.
  • During Hololive's Golden Game Week, Marine defeats Aki in a Tsuppari Oozumou game without a single loss from the pirate captain's stable, despite Aki's reputation as the powerhouse Mukirose.
  • Miko's WWE 2K22 stream with Aki, Fubuki, Subaru, Mio, Noel, Watame, Botan, and Polka managed to gather over 110,000 live viewers! It puts them just above WrestleMania 32 if they were a wrestling fed.
  • During Subaru's stream of the horror game, Is Simon There? with Mio joining her, Subaru surprises everyone with her English reading skills, coming a long way that Subaru can translate things for Mio easily.
  • Koyori Hakui's playthrough of Live Power Pro Baseball 2022's Crown Nine Mode where her baseball team made a comeback victory during the semi-final match of the Spring Koshien tournament, having Suisei Hoshimachi score a grand-slam walk-off homerun to win the game.
    • After that nail-biting semi-finals match, Koyori's baseball team won the Spring Koshien tournament when Fubuki Shirakami scored a walk-off run.
  • In Shion and Gura's Nintendo Switch Sports collab, their first game of choice was bowling and Shion was the first to roll. Her first throw on the first frame was a 3-9-10 split, but Shion did the unthinkable that no other hololive talent has done: Converting the split into her first spare of the game.
  • Pekora wins against Korone in Super Mario Bros. where Korone kept on using the warp zones but kept on dying at either Zone 4-2 or Zone 8-1 while Pekora essentially played the game normally (barring going to Zone 3-1 to get the infinite one-up trick) and got up to Zone 8-2.
  • While frog-hunting in Minecraft, Amelia came across a mysterious scene: several dropped items floating in the water. She correctly deduced that someone had died there, and because the chunk was so far away from the spawning point, it hadn't been loaded since, causing time in the area to effectively freeze and preserving the items for her to find. Sherlock would be proud.
  • On one of Polka's Rust streams, Matsuri drops by Polka's heavily fortified cave system base and tries to start a friendly chat by "knocking" on the front door with RPGs and grenades. Matsuri gets frustrated when she runs out of both just shy of blowing the door open and tries to exit the cave system, but gets lost. Polka silently takes up a higher position in the cave system to ambush Matsuri when she comes into view trying to climb up some vines, taking her out with a few well-placed shots, scaring the daylights out of Matsuri and leaving her genuinely confused when she respawns, wondering where Polka got the drop on her.
  • In one of Regis's streams for Enter the Gungeon, he gets four out of five Master Rounds, the only blemish coming from the first floor boss, the Trigger Twins. His Final Boss for the run before killing the Pilot's past was the High Dragun which he turned into a Curbstomp Battle with the Railgun and Rubber Bullets mod.
  • In Lui's playthrough of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster she completes all 20 stages of the Puzzle Boy minigame in one sitting. Without a guide!
  • Marine and Chloe's yacht dice game during a Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics collab saw Chloe roll a yacht on the first turn, with her going first, a feat no other talent has done before. Marine, however, got lucky and managed to score a yacht of her own in the final turn to beat the smug orca. For context, Chloe was positive that Marine won't roll a yacht in the last turn and that she will win. Alas, she was Instantly Proven Wrong when Marine rolls a yacht consisting of all threes and placed the score as threes, which was enough to give her 35 extra points.
  • Axel and Zeta's Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes collab has Axel completely wing the entire Complicated Wires module in haste and defuse the bomb by the skin of his teeth. He didn't even bother listening to Zeta's instructions due to the time crunch, and he did it without even getting a single strike on that module.
  • Haachama and Bae's Clubhouse 51 collab ended with a game of Yacht which saw Bae score a yacht on the second roll of her first turn and beat Haachama 143-91 in the end. Lucky rat indeed.
  • For one who "doesn't like reading", Axel pulls off an impressive turnabout in the last round of Magni's "Were-Mag" collab with an impressive show of deduction — first by realizing that the Robber's the one who unwittingly took the were-mag role, then narrowing it down to Kobo, Vesper, and Ollie, and then deducing that Kobo's the one due to picking up Vesper's and Ollie's behavioral tics when they were were-mags in earlier rounds.
Magni: This is where the brain cells have gone, now I understand.
  • Sora's November 10th stream of HoloCure was remarkable as in it, Sora was not only the first member to try a Hardcore run, but the first to succeed (run starts at 1h 58min in the stream) in doing so in stage 2. The thread posted in the game's subreddit got some praise from the people and eventually, a post from Kay Yu themselves about how pleasantly surprised he is to see Sora play his game so well and happily.
  • Kobo beating Koyori in their Clubhouse Games chess collab in seven moves. As one YouTube comment put it:
    "Opening:
Even before the game begins, Koyori plays mind games with Kobo by claiming that the black pieces are stronger by virtue of their appearance. Confused but undeterred, Kobo plays d4, a cultured opening move. Koyori responds with c5, an unconventional gambit offering a free pawn in exchange for rapid activity. Kobo declines the gambit and opts instead to strengthen her control of the center of the board with e4. Koyori again challenges Kobo's center pawns with f5, another gambit with an undefended pawn. She also bluffs that she is not even thinking about her moves as a show of strength. Kobo declines once more and over-defends her d-pawn with c3.

    Midgame:
Koyori brings out her horsey to add another attacker to the undefended e-pawn. Kobo also brings out her horsey. Koyori draws first blood, taking the e-pawn by moving in an L-shape. As she does so, she verbally taunts her opponent, dealing psychological damage. Kobo, enraged, strikes back by surprise attacking Koyori's c-pawn with a diagonal pawn move. Then, calculating with all the power of Stockfish, Koyori begins a kingside pawn storm with g5.
    Endgame:
Mercilessly, Kobo takes the pawn, which has only 1 defender to 2 attackers. Koyori attempts to en passant the horsey on g5, to no avail. She then attempts to snipe the c-pawn in a straight line from the bishop, not realizing that they aren't playing FPS Chess. Finally, she makes her move: a5!! Just like AlphaZero, she begins a pawn storm on the opposite side of the board. This kind of flanking maneuver is a highly advanced tactic meant to overwhelm the target by force. Unfortunately for Koyori, Kobo takes advantage of Koyori's overextended frontline and deals a fatal blow: checkmate with the queen on h5. A long-fought victory without warning, leaving Koyori shocked and in awe of Kobo's hidden genius. The chess speaks for itself."

  • The 2023 Mario Kart 8 tournament:
    • After three of six races of the Zako Cup, Kronii found herself down in 5th place, 16 points behind first. She then mounts a major comeback by winning the last three races and just edging out Nene for first place overall by one point. Again like last year's Tsuyo Cup, it crosses over into CMOF as Kronii won the thing with 69 points.
    • During the finalé of the tournament, Suisei thought she had no chance after Miko, who had the last track pick, selected Baby Park, a track Suisei absolutely hates. Despite this, Suisei puts on a near-flawless performance that sees her running in first on the penultimate lap. However, she erroneously thinks that the race is over, putting down her controller. Despite going down as low as 9th, Suisei then runs the lap of her life, being able to finish in 7th, giving her just enough points to win the tournament. Even more impressive is that Suisei won the final tournament despite having fewer wins than Marine and Mio who were second and third respectively. Instead of chasing after the two and going for wins, she instead won the tournament through sheer consistency and making sure she was always in the points. For comparison, Mio, who was running in second behind Suisei coming into the final race, would have had to win said race and Suisei only finished fourth or lower, to win the tournament.
  • Barring one guess where she was off by one junction (which is still close enough to give her full points), AZKi surprised her viewers during her first stream of GeoGuessr by perfectly pinpointing most of the locations in record time and with as little as 1 meter margins, easily netting her the rank of Master Tourist.
  • Miko's playthrough of Super Mario Bros. 3 has been a hilarious demonstration of how utterly inept she is at platformers, especially due to her tendency to panic. It took her 5 and half hours to finish World 3 in her first stream. In her second stream, she died 301 times in 5 hours, and only managed to make it through the first third of World 6. In her third stream, she tackled 6-5, widely regarded as That One Level. Instead of precision platforming, it's a puzzle: The level loops through a cave, and you have fly up through a hole in the ceiling as Raccoon or Tanooki Mario, while holding a Koopa Troopa shell that's needed to get past the obstacle blocking the exit pipe. The only problem is that the cave is full of Buster Beetles, and there's only one Koopa Troopa. Miko figured out what to do surprisingly quickly. How to do it was something else entirely. She learned how running, holding items, and enemy respawns work through old fashioned Trial-and-Error Gameplay. And she never gave up. It took her just under 1 hour and 5 minutes, but she finally beat one of the trickiest levels in the game. It's worth noting that she only made it through the first third of World 7 after nearly 4 hours, but she died only 168 times. That's a massive improvement, especially considering the game's Difficulty Spike.
  • Vesper's playthrough of NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD goes through an unwitting Self-Imposed Challenge, as he thinks P-Chan is only her manager and not her boyfriend, and thus strictly keeps things professional and doesn't take any "Spend time together" or "***" prompts. Despite the reduced options, he still manages her well enough to make it through the month with minimal breakdowns, reels in 3 million subscribers and gets the (Un)happy End World ending, one of the more positive endings of the game.
  • Luna and Kanata's Clubhouse 51 stream has a couple of awesome moments:
    • During the bowling game, Kanata became the second hololive talent in history to convert a split into a spare. For context, during Kanata's second frame, she got a 3-6-7-10 split on the first throw. However, with the raw power and strategy behind her second throw, she managed to knock the rest of the pins down using the momentum from the 3rd pin for a spare. She still lost to Luna 77-87 in the end, though.
    • Luna completely squashed Kanata in a game of darts with a final score of over 662-256. Even though Luna was new to darts, she scored all forms of 20s (single, triple, and double) during her first turn, while Kanata can only score mostly 1s. Luna also scored two more triple 20s during her seventh turn to ensure Kanata couldn't keep up no matter how much the angel scored. The princess also scored a bullseye and a double bullseye during her fourth turn, enough to make Sora, a darts expert herself, proud.
  • Bae had fears that she might break AZKi's perfect streak in GeoGuessr since their collab was about pinpointing locations in Australia instead of Japan (where AZKi got her streak). Turns out, AZKi is so cracked at GeoGuessr that she essentially showed Bae the way around Australia, nailing a perfect score in a country she's never visited and even getting another pinpoint with a 0 meter difference.
  • As of March 11, 2023, Kaela Kovlaskia is the first Holomem to hit 100% Completion in HoloCure.
  • As part of the announcement of the Hololive Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 tournament, Pekora decides to challenge Suisei claiming she can defeat her. What follows is the rabbit's complete and utter destruction at Suisei's hands, with the latter even accepting various handicap challenges from Pekora, all the while continually talking and making jokes at the latter's expense, even bringing out Comet-chan and singing her song. She's just that good at puzzle games. One can only wonder how she will fare in Tetris: The Grand Master...
  • During the Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 tournament itself, Marine basically dominates all of her matches through her skill at Puyo Puyo culminating in a 5-0 win over Koyori during the finals. Then, she caps it off by winning 5 to 1 against Suisei during the show match afterward.
  • Bae decides to follow Fauna and do an endurance run to a Golden Pot in Getting Over It, despite having fewer clears and less practice. A single stream? Nope, she splits it up into a two-day event, streaming almost 9½ hours on Saturday and almost 9 hours on Sunday to go from 5 clears to the requisite 50 in one weekend.
  • Korone has taken to Street Fighter 6 like a fish to water, quickly acquainting herself with Classic Controlsnote  and becoming proficient with JP, a character noted for being very dangerous in the right hands, but tricky to master. In a stream with members of the Japanese fighting game community, the pros marveled at how quickly she learned the game and her execution of some of JP's deadlier combos. At one point, she even impressed Kazunoko when Korone pulls off a 15-hit combo with JP, something Kazunoko didn't even know was possible.
  • hololive × VALORANT MEETUP powered by HLZNTL:
    • Shion pulling an Ace in Round 17 of the first custom match to secure the win for her team (which includes Mel, Roboco, Iroha, and Matsuri) by killing all agents on Ayame's team (which includes Nene, Towa, Choco, and Laplus) on her own.
    • Three rounds earlier in the same match, when all of Iroha's teammates are dead, she secured the first Clutch of the match by killing Choco, Laplus, and Towa, in that order.
  • Bijou's first collab with Calli shows an Undertale mod that she created for her audition. While the game mechanics are the same as the Sans boss fight, Bijou created the Calli sprite, sampled the "guh" soundbite for her Voice Grunting, and beat it in one try both for her audition and her showcase (admittedly, due to muscle memory from all her practice with it)!
  • Through their playthroughs of Persona 5 Royal, Koyori, Bae, and Reine managed to beat Shadow Okumura, a very Time-Limit Boss, in their first tries on their respective streams. And on Normal difficultynote  at that.
  • On August 20, 2023, Kaela does it again by hitting 100% Completion on HoloCure's Version 0.6 update, with the last achievement being the Bullet Hell achievement, which involves completing a Hard level without being hit by any projectiles.
  • On September 15, 2023, Kaela managed to grind all the ancient debris needed to make a netherite beacon in Minecraft. To put into perspective on how insane it sounds, the full pyramid of netherite blocks one needs to build the beacon requires mining out 5904 pieces of ancient debris. Kaela managed to do all of it within 5 months of grinding in Minecraft. Including multiple instances of zenloss.
  • Season two of VCR's Grand Theft Auto V roleplay server saw Aki becoming the mastermind of the season's successful Union Depository heist. Having learned from the circumstances that led to the first attempt being a failure, Aki came up with two very unorthodox strategies that helped shift the balance to the criminals' side (consisting of members from Aki's gang Neo Police and Yggdrasil, another gang led by Radao):
    • The first involves Aki convincing Apex Legends streamer Nacchi, who is working as a car customization mechanic, to buy a gas station with money provided by both Aki and Neo Police and upgrade it enough to unlock access to the gas tankers. It costed Aki around 25 million of in-game moneynote , but it's effectiveness were shown when the tankers blocked access to the underground tunnels, severely hampering the access to the underground vault where the money is placed for the police forces (which had Towa as one of its members).
    • The second was even more ingenious. Having called Aruran's pizzeria for some beverages, she revealed to Aruran and his Pizza Family group (which consist of people such as DEV_IS' Ao and Nijisanji EN's Reimu) that she's going to do "something big" and convinced the Pizza Family to drive through the Union Depository area and advert their products as if they were only there by chance. The Pizza Family quickly understood what Aki truly meant and accepted her offer after Ao pledged her intention help Aki. With them playing ball on her side, Aki had gained the ability to not only scout and divert the police attention, but also to alert her gang of any possible danger should the Pizza Family stopped their advertising under any circumstances. The combination of these two strategies allowed Neo Police and Yggdrasil to get away with nearly 2 billion stolen from the Union Depository, which was used to buy a fancy mansion to serve as their new hideout.
  • While playing Lethal Company, Ina escaped from a thumper and dodge multiple attacks from the eyeless dog, survived the mask and lived to tell the tale of the ghost girl in one stream, which if anyone who played the game can tell you, is awesome in and of itself.
  • In a display of incredible skill at a game she doesn't regularly play, Fauna in the Age of Empires II 2v2v2 displays an incredible grasp of the most important fundamentals of any RTS game. While the other teams end up failing to keep up military production or place their defenses in too-aggressive positions, Fauna focuses on a good, solid economy, on mass-producing her strongest unit, the War Elephants, mixing a few trebuchets for siegework into her build along with some crossbows for coverage, and a strategy that was neither too aggressive nor too defensive, even retreating from her very first fight when she thinks she's done enough damage- which lets her catch Kiara's incoming attack. The end result? Fauna manages to crush her opponents so thoroughly that fans compare it to the Rumbling.
    • Furthermore, her chat was the most useless of the three teams, simply repeatedly saying MORE ELEPHANTS at all times- whereas the other two teams were getting good intel from their chats! But Fauna's solid grasp of the fundamentals overcame their greater knowledge!
  • 2024 Mario Kart 8 tournament
    • The 2024 tournament turned out to be one of the closest ever with both Towa and Suisei both tying for first place with 62 points, with the former only winning the tournament on countback by having more wins.
    • The way Towa won was very dramatic too. Entering the fifth race of the Tsuyo Cup, she was in fourth place and had a 11-point deficit from Suisei, a considerably tough one to overcome given the nature of Mario Kart. A stroke of luck was needed for Towa to even have a chance to win... And she got it in the fifth race where a number of factors played into Towa's hand, giving her the win while Suisei only finished third, bringing the gap down to just six points. Third on the final race (which, fittingly for the year, was held at Dragon Driftway) would be enough for Suisei to win it all, but right on the very last straight of the tournament, Suisei (who was running third) made a fatal mistake by trying to avoid the Bob-Omb that Towa threw behind, causing her to fall off the track and got overtaken by Hajime right before the line. With Towa taking the win and Suisei only fourth, it was enough for the devil to win by countback and successfully prevent Suisei from retiring from the Hololive Mario Kart tournament altogether.note
    • The EN branch performed quite well, with three members making the Tsuyo Cup — Ina, Bijou and Kronii, one from each generation — with a fourth, Calli almost making it in if not for the unequal points distribution in her group due to having less members.
    • Bijou lived up to her reputation as the best gamer of her generation and possibly the entire EN branch, not only making it to the Tsuyo Cup in the hardest group but often challenging Suisei for the win (and actually taking a win in the Tsuyo Cup). Only her terrible luck prevented her from placing higher.
    • Newcomer Hajime became an unexpected dark horse, getting an unexpected third place in the Tsuyo Cup
  • During a Palworld stream, Bae plans to catch a Frostallion, but even with 101 Giga Balls, she has a 0.04% chance of success at full health. She catches it in the first attempt to her surprise. The chat considers her having used up her luck for the rest of the year.
  • There's a music puzzle in Undertale that requires the player to memorize a specific set of notes and play them on a piano. The game gives each note an associated button that players can use to memorize the notes, but Sora solves the puzzle using only her sense of pitch.
  • Bijou finishes the optional Path of Pain in Hollow Knight (which demands a lot of precision jumps and all your maneuvering skills with very little safe ground and ends in a dual-miniboss fight) while Overcharmed (meaning she takes double damage from everything) in under 3 hours over four attempts. This is her final attempt and she's gotten so good at it that she can do it in under 15 minutes!
  • When A Difficult Game About Climbing, which is a Spiritual Successor of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, was released, many Holo members tried it out to test their patience. So far, only a few managed to reach the peak:
    • Pekora is the first Hololive member to reach the top and she did it in one stream within 6 hours.
    • Fauna is the second Hololive member and the first English member to reach the top. On her first stream, she had reached the winter stage but she had a hard time swinging to another rock. It's only on the second stream that she finished the game; though, she wants do a speedrun.
    • Jurard became the first Holostar member to reach the top. On his first stream, he's in the same situation as Fauna where he had difficulty swinging through another rock. So, in the second stream, he surpassed that and reached the peak.

    Awesome Non-Gaming Moments
  • In the English telephone game hosted by Haato and Coco, despite Team A (special mention goes to Miko) mangling the message into a completely-nonsensical sentence, Choco manages to salvage the situation by correctly deducing the proper message on intuition alone... twice.
  • To commemorate her second anniversary, Aqua decided to stream for 24 hours over the course of multiple streams. Over the 24-hour period, Aqua did a total of 11 separate streams, totaling out to a whopping 22 hours, 44 minutes, and 20 seconds. Here's a playlist of them.
  • While Korone was streaming Banjo-Kazooie, trolls attempted to get her into trouble by claiming she didn't have Rare's permission to stream it. note  Then, Rare themselves retweeted her adoration of "eekum bokum", and Grant Kirkhope (the game's composer and the one who voiced the "eekum bokum" clip) followed suit. All signs of trouble then vanished very quickly, and "eekum bokum" turned memetic.
  • Many of Hololive's Japanese talents take the trouble to maintain a presence in BiliBili, occasionally even hosting BiliBili-exclusive streams for their Chinese fans knowing full well that YouTube is Banned in China. This has not gone unappreciated; for example, in their respective birthday streams many Hololive VTubers such as Matsuri, Pekora, Rushia, and Miko were treated to a giant fan-built virtual theme park in the Chinese Minecraft server, complete with statues of their likeness, attractions, and fireworks.
  • The mere existence of hololive English is one, showing that hololive is finding a global audience. And indeed, all five members of Gen 1 got 100,000 subscribers after one day.
    • Calliope Mori was assigned the task of introducing hololive English. Despite apparent nervousness, she did an excellent job... before completely blowing all expectations away with an animated rap video. She set the bar high.
    • Kiara Takanashi ended her stream with a cover of none other than the theme of hololive, Shiny Smiley Story, declaring her goal to live up to YAGOO's expectations. This cemented that despite the fact that this group is primarily English-speaking, they are all hololive idols through and through.
    • Ina'nis Ninomae, during her debut stream, shows this drawing she did of the cast. She then reveals that it was drawn by her left tentacle, and reveals she drew this picture in the trailer, the mascot symbol each other member has, and even the artwork for Mori's rap album. Aside from her artistic skills, her commitment to a one-off joke was pretty impressive, having spent a considerable amount of time reciting "Jugemu Jugemu" and committing it to memory before introducing herself with that as her true name.
    • Gura Gawr's first impression is documented on the Funny page, but also qualifies as a moment of awesome for how effective an impression it was. Her second awesome moment is at the end of the stream, where to paraphrase one chat comment "the shark girl sings like a mermaid".
    • Amelia Watson also deserves special mention. Her own debut aside (it's better documented on the Funny page as well), she was running backend support for every other debut until her own, making sure her fellow members' introductions went off without a hitch. She had also designed a majority of their channel assets and managed to emcee their very first collaboration stream, despite running on very little sleep after working hard the entire day.
  • Kiara Takanashi's four hour Superchat video. And she streamed Super Mario 64 a few hours later. Rest your voice girl, you need it!
  • Kiara's first stream of Fire Emblem: Three Houses ended after the Mock Battle, which is the second level of the game. As a newcomer to the series, she had no idea what she was doing, and made mistakes that one naturally would expect. However, while she made mistakes and almost lost the Mock Battle, through determination and learning on the fly, she managed to scrape out a victory as the Black Eagles with none other than the much loved by fans Ferdinand von Aegir. Despite beating herself up for it, the chat was overjoyed that she managed to win on her first go, especially so considering that even on lower difficulties, said level is a fairly hard map especially for newcomers.
  • Choco gives a standardized test to each VTuber she interviews, and each participant has 3 minutes to answer as many as they can. This also includes VTubers outside hololive. Botan scores an impressive 28 points out of 30, setting a new record among all VTubers interviewed. Even Choco was impressed! note
  • On October 11, 2020. Kiara and Nene both held independent karaoke streams, unaware of what the other was up to. What ended up happening is what fans refer to as the "Miracle Collab" - both Kiara and Nene ended up singing the same song at the same time! The name of the song? Connect. Here's both of their covers edited into a duet.
  • Calli's remix party is a demonstration of fan recognition and talent as well as a showcase for her own reach within the online community. When she originally announced her remix contest, she thought that there would be a fairly modest turnout, to the point where she was surprised that there were 100 entries early on. By the time she closed the contest, there were 804 different entries, including a fair number of humorous/troll ones. Not only that, some incredibly prominent independent artists had participated in the contest and had their entries featured as part of the top 15 listening party, some of which her track mixer, K's/kokorobeats, had acknowledged as people he drew inspiration from within the doujin music community long before working with Calli. Given her motives for hosting the contest were to use her platform to shine a light on some independent musicians that other people may not have heard of, essentially paying her own success forward, it's safe to say that she had completely surpassed any expectations she had for her goal.
  • When Coco and Haato were suspended for 3 weeks for perceived political drama from China, many were fearful that the long hiatus would lead to them graduating like Aloe did. Come October 19, 2020, Coco triumphantly announced her return with a new episode of Asacoco Live. The day before, it became known that the haters aimed to flood the chat with enough toxicity to force the chat to be members-only, but they were drowned out in an unrelenting torrent of support and Superchats! To wrap up a successful return to form, she ends the episode with a decisive message to both fans and haters. The same Asacoco Live episode included a fake ad for Asacoco University, starring the other hololivers as graduates, students, and faculty. The community's response was to create an authentic-looking application form and website for this university, a feat that Coco covered in the following Asacoco Live episode.
  • Haachama's second cooking contest with her fans again showcases some masterful culinary skills among them. One of the participants who drew the most attention was The Crepe Lord, a crepe store owner known for his support for Haachama during her hiatus. His submission is a mock pizza using crepes and gyoza, a more competent version of Haachama's "pizza" from a few days prior.
  • In the first live-action collab between hololive and English-speaking YouTube content creators, Calli was featured as a special guest on the Trash Taste podcast. While there was already a significant overlap between the general anime community and VTuber fan groups, this was a hallmark moment in terms of engagement with the Western audience and potentially opening more doors for more Western-oriented media production; Kiara has also expressed some interest in coming on the podcast as well.
  • For part of her stream, Marine takes a Touhou Project character identification quiz, where she has to identify the character and the game they're appearing in based entirely off the character's face. There's some assistance with the silhouette of the character's bangs, but there are no other identifying features - not even the nice hats the series is known for. She tackles the highest difficulty, identifying 133 portrait faces across 10 different games, and gets a perfect score.
  • On November 18, 2020, Kiara held a quick announcement stream where she announced her first single "HINOTORI", a voice pack, and most impressively HoloTalk, a talk show where she interviews members of the main Hololive branch. Incredibly impressive since Hololive EN had only just debuted, and is still technically a side branch of the main group.
  • Kiara's relatively normal skill of fluency in Japanese has made her into one of the most valuable members of the branch. As mentioned in the tearjerker page, soon after her debut she felt like she lacked talent compared to the other members of Hololive EN, since her fluency was the only major skill she brought to the table. But this simple skill has helped her and the rest of EN to collaborate effectively with the main branch of Hololive. From the above-mentioned Among Us stream, to a collab with Subaru, she's proven exceptional at bringing the JP and EN sides together. And all of this has culminated so far in Kiara's dream come true, a collab with Pekora, the member who inspired her to audition, and one she's wanted to collab with ever since her debut stream.
  • On December 3, 2020, Calli spent 90 minutes begging Atlus to let her play Persona 3. During that time, the associated hashtag #CallioP3 started trending worldwide on Twitter, taking the top spot in several regions (including the US and Japan) as fans flooded the hashtag with fanart and similar messages directed at Atlus. Very many people across the world have taken notice to this plea to the point where it was impossible to avoid for a time. And while it took until January of 2023, Atlus actually listened and gave her the okay to play Persona 3 Portable after the PC and Switch port released.
  • The results of the 2020 Vtuber Music Awards had hololive talent taking four spots of the top 5. Fifth went to Marine's "Ahoy! We are the Houshou Pirates", fourth went to Calli's "Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP?", third went to Fubuki's "Say! Fanfare", second place went to Tsukino Mito, and Suisei's "NEXT COLOR PLANET" came in first.
  • When Kiara's channel got mysteriously banned by YouTube's algorithm, she decided to hold a Reddit meme contest while waiting for the ban to be reversed. While funny in its own right, it's actually a pretty clever move on her part, as it's channeled the fandom's potential outrage into a less destructive response, letting them stay calm and tide over the time to her revival.
    • Her second debut was, beat for beat, a testament to her skills as a performer and her commitment to a bit. She played off the first half of the stream as close to her original debut as possible, while still playing into the idea that she's done all this before as well as being confused as to why she has memberships and donations available so early on. Most other performers would have just been fine mentioning their channel termination and moving on, but Kiara managed to weave it into a part of her character with her audience being fully in on the joke.
    • After being shadowbanned by YouTube in late February 2021 and having 2 months of archives become automatically privated for undisclosed reasons, she pulled off the same stunt. While it would stand to reason that the joke would get stale after having to repeat it, she still managed to keep it fresh by stating she was the first member of Hololive DE, and followed her debut script almost verbatim in German, even going so far as to sing Hinotori in German before "regaining her memories" again. While she did express frustration at the situation, she has a real talent for making the best out of bad circumstances.
  • The animated teaser for hololive Alternative is poetry in motion, made all the more amazing by a theme song by Calliope Mori. The full version of the teaser is even more jaw-dropping with the inclusion of two major fights that are fluidly animated:
    • Coco in her dragon form versus Shion, Flare and Noel. Shion is upgraded to a Kung-Fu Wizard here as she strides towards Coco on airborne magical circles and delivers a stunning Diving Kick that bifurcates a rock, despite missing her intended target. Coco then tries to swipe her tail at Flare, only for the tail to be stopped cold by Noel, who grabs it and proceeds to launch the dragon high up in the air. Coco is notably unfazed by this, as she retaliates with a breath attack even as she's sent flying.
    • Ayame takes on Fubuki and Mio at the same time with a gleeful smile on her face. The oni manages to fight them to a draw before summoning the fused form of her two familiars, with Fubuki and Mio fearlessly charging towards their opponent in response.
  • Akai Haato singing with three distinct voices (her regular Akai Haato/Haachama voice, a more high pitched "Lolichama" voice, and a lower pitched "Red-kun" voice) during her LOLICHAMA stream. Not just singing with three distinct voices, but seamlessly switching back and forth between them mid-song. Repeatedly. It shows off an impressive vocal range and vocal control.
  • The Akaihaato X HAACHAMA arc itself represents the epitome of what Hololive can produce. While it's possible that there was someone else writing behind the scenes, the common belief is that the entire thing sprung from her mind. When you consider that this makes her both writer and star of this one-woman show, while also still having the chops to pull off the original "idol singer" aim of Hololive when she needs to, it's no wonder why she's the one that management recommended new talent watch to learn how to find their niche in content creation—she's the epitome of "multitalented".
  • On the March 13, 2021, AZKi decided to reach out to her (relatively newly developing) overseas audience... by streaming what was essentially a second debut almost entirely in English. Fans were delighted and impressed by her proficiency with the language. She even sang an English rendition of Shiny Smily Story!
YouTube Commenter: AZKi pretty much set the standard for the other JP talents of introducing herself in English. I think it would be a good test for the other JP talents learning English to follow suit and do an "English debut" stream of their own.
  • On March 30, 2021, holostars and Hololive EN had their first collaboration when Calli and Rikka performed together, with Rikka playing the guitar and Calli singing - a great step forwards for both, especially given how reluctant the management has been to permit collabs between the ladies and gents. With this, Calli continues with her tremendous impact on the VTuber community, and holostars get some much-deserved publicity.
  • Calli's birthday celebration on April 4, 2021 not only earned her over $54,000 in Superchats, but apparently broke YouTube's algorithms. She received so many Superchats that ones that were sent before the stream officially began were lost — Calli had to resort to going back and watching the archives for the Superchats as they appeared to catch the earliest ones. As concerning as it is, it's still an impressive feat that Calli is so popular that her fandom unintentionally caused technical malfunctions in the system for one of the biggest websites in the world.
  • Botan became a Fandom VIP of the No More Heroes series when she was invited to guest-star alongside Suda51 and Mafia Kajita for a livestream promotion for No More Heroes III.
  • While playing Apex Legends with Matsuri, Suisei does a Coco impression. This triggered some Coco haters, and the spam started coming in. What's she do? Pick out three members who have been following her for a year, hand them temporary moderator status, and declare "Go clean up the comments."
  • For Amelia Watson's first new costume reveal, she set up a little game similar to Twitch Plays Pokémon where the chat had to type directions to reveal segments of her costume. The fact she programmed all this for a single stream is impressive.
  • Kureiji Ollie had hinted several times at her status as a top-ranked student when she was alive, and the Polynomial Division MATH STREAM showed that it was not a fabrication. She managed to teach a lesson on Polynomial Divison's two methods in English, her second language (or maybe third if her Javanese language proficiency is counted), and quite efficient at that. She also managed to show a proof of why 1 + 1 equals 2, one of the most notorious proofs in Set Theory (albeit using Successor Function instead of Principia Mathematica's proof) when she was taking a break. Yes, she took a break from Grade 9's Maths to explain a college freshman-level Maths.
  • On June 5, 2021, Amelia held the first hololive charity stream, raising money for Best Friends Animal Society. She initially set the goal at $15,000, which was met before the stream even started, and after nine hours it reached $235,000.
  • Calli practices Shadowverse with Garnt as her sparring partner and coach. In one match she has the upper hand on him as Garnt's own card forces him to draw excessively until he's down to the very last card in the deck. As he thinks over his own plays he notices Bahamut can be played as a follower, and it does enough damage to wipe out Calli's remaining health. Talk about an anime protagonist moment!
  • During Kiara's Holotalk segment with Coco:
    • Kiara asked about Coco's favorite meme from the numerous reviews she has done over the months. Coco's choice is none other than Quantum Chicken Soup Grass Big Chungus, which has helped to codify a face for the fandom in general and set up a persistent Running Gag for the months to come.
    • Coco's message to the other talents is "Do not stop trying to do new stuff, even if you run the risk of getting censored." And when you look back at everything Coco has done, her unique content like her Asacoco news segments and Meme Reviews have done a great service to Hololive by extending its reach to new audiences.
    • Worth noting was the lead up to this, where Coco hesitated to say anything because she didn't want to get Kiara in trouble. Kiara straight-up said it was her show and her rules, and gave Coco permission to say whatever was on her mind.
  • Amelia (un)officially became the first member of EN to have a 3D Debut. With her Half-Life: Alyx stream, she came out in a 3D model of Smol Ame with a VR headset on. Complete with dancing.
  • During Gura's birthday stream on June 20, 2021, she received special birthday greetings from Devil May Cry voice actors Reuben Langdon (Dante) and Dan Southworth (Vergil). Gura broke down in happy tears and had to regain her composure because she felt so blessed to have such a wonderfully caring group of fans.
  • After getting one too many superchats that ask Ollie to speak in Indonesian more "because [they] can't understand English", Ollie goes on a fully Indonesian rant and essentially tells those viewers where they can shove their refusal to learn English.
Ollie: Why are you guys showing off your inability? There's nothing cool about that, and it's just plain disgusting, y'know? ...It's better if you flex, if you're flexing, just do it! "Ollie, I can do push-up handstands while playing guitar with my feet!" Well, I didn't ask, and I wouldn't respond to that kind of comment, but seeing that is way better than someone superchatting "I can't speak English!"
  • IRyS's debut stream begins with a gorgeous music video of her first EP's flagship song, "Caesura of Despair", which wouldn't look out of place with hololive Alternative. Not only does it visually impress with Tokyo's changing skybox via IRyS's powers, but the video is officially licensed by the Tokyo Tower Company; a testament to how great hololive's influence has grown to be able to collaborate with one Japan's most iconic landmarks.
  • Gura managed to score a cameo in a Taco Bell commercial that aired during the 2021 Olympics. 30 seconds in, in the top right corner.
  • Miko's bid for the temporary establishment of an "Elite Cafe" in Akihabara as part of the third anniversary since her debut took off like wildfire, with unanimously positive comments on the truly impressive gallery of Miko-related goods on display as well as the menu served there.
  • This part of Kiara's interview with Haachama on HoloTalk has Haachama explain the story behind the leap from her original character to her current very (in)famous self. With the big ASMR crackdown by Youtube going down, she was demonetized for a year. In a show of resilience, she became motivated by this setback to cut loose, seeing nothing left to lose. Also overlaps with funny in that Youtube's overzealousness created Haachama.
  • Played for Laughs but the Oozora Police usually has a 100% arrest rating. That is, until Coco got an innocent verdict and gets Okayu arrested instead.
  • The whole "Jokeronii/Civil War" bit was this for Kronii, as she seriously convinced many viewers and fans that she actually lost her sanity. She clarified at the end of the stream that it was just a "character arc", so as to assure everyone this was not a real issue. She wound up doing so again during the following superchat reading.
  • During Botan's Far Cry 6 stream, she received a superchat that remarked about her participation in an upcoming VTuber Battlefield V tournament that made insinuations about her (and others) hooking up with male streamers behind the scenes. She responded by scolding that audience member for their rudeness, particularly towards those organizing and participating in said tournament, and then told them to cancel the superchat and get something nice to eat with the money before banning them, all while staying polite and genial.
  • The reveal of HoloX and the debut stream of La+ Darkness prompted a sudden outburst of creativity between the demon and Haachama.
    • Haachama humorously released an impromptu rap directed towards La+. Not even a day later, La+ rose to the challenge and responded with her own answer, which impressed Haachama enough to admit defeat on her stream. Even if it was all in good fun, it showed that the new kids on the block are not to be taken lightly.
    • And then, cue Haachama releasing a new, higher-effort and more polished rap, just to show that she will not be undone so easily. Over the next few days, she released several more raps, each one in different styles. If nothing else, this cemented her continued dedication and demonstrated the same improvisational creativity that she displayed in her HAACHAMAxAkaihaato arc.
    • In the Haachama Sunday that followed, Haachama invited her viewers, including several other well-known artists on Youtube, to put up their raps and she'd come up with a verse in response. One of the last ones was by a "V-Rapper" whose diss rap also contained sensitive information. That was edited out, but Haachama's response went on to counter him so hard that he not only admitted defeat but also doxxed himself as an apology.
  • After the EN anniversary and EN Halloween events in VR Chat, Amelia's creativity shines yet again with her preview of the VR Studio, which opens up a lot of new ways that the EN members (and more) can collab, especially in light of increasing travel restrictions at the time.
  • The trailer for the new update to Groove Coaster: Wai Wai Party!!!!. Gura narrates it and reveals that she's in the game as a navigator alongside Sora, and that REFLECT is one of the new songs added. Given that Gura considered herself to be "strictly a rhythm gamer" prior to joining Hololive, seeing herself and her song featured in a rhythm game has to be a dream come true.
  • On top of her achievement of catching a Shiny Magikarp in the early hours of Christmas Eve 2021, and after several months of striving for, and getting rejected from, having the verification mark on Twitter, a mere few hours later, Fubuki finally acquired her holy grail!
    • She then pulled a twofer with another Christmas Stream right after, this time attempting to solve the Ultimagear Millennium Puzzle. The puzzle has been faithfully recreated to be Nintendo Hard, requiring precise and sequential piece placements, rotating pieces and even placing pieces inside the Puzzle as well as its mazelike structure, which is reason enough to take Yugi 8 years to solve it and awaken the Pharaoh. How long did Fubuki take to solve it? 6:14:08, all in one endurance stream, from cutting the pieces off from the runners to popping the final piece in! And going in blind, no less!
  • At the end of the Werewolf (1997) Christmas special stream, the staff back the office decided to power the Christmas tree with a bike generator. The staff member assigned to the bike soon runs out of energy and the tree's lights stop glowing, but then YAGOO himself steps in and powers up the tree, backed by "Shiny Smily Story" as BGM and the cheers of the holomembers.
YAGOO: I guess it's my turn now.
  • On her 2022 birthday stream, Amelia introduced a full body 3D model in the form of Buff Ame. With Japan still closed off due to COVID, Amelia took matters into her own hands.
  • With the coronavirus making off-collabs difficult for non-Japanese and non-Indonesian talents, Ame, Ina, Kronii, Fauna, and Mumei gather in real life for a surprise karaoke stream. Unfortunately, Gura could not join in as she was recovering from COVID-19.
  • Oga and Shien noticeably have never had a duet with each other for nearly two years despite being genmates, so the moment they did so in Shien’s birthday 3D stream is a pleasant surprise to all. Their song of choice, Real Face by KAT-TUN, is what makes this awesome: It is a fiery, difficult song featuring many rap parts that allows plenty of rooms for errors and shouldn’t be suitable for live singing for both Oga (who rarely sings and usually prefers slower-pace songs) and Shien (who just sang 5 songs continuously for the past 30 minutes), yet they completely nailed it with perfect harmony and precision.
    • The scene where they faced each other - which is arguably one of the best moments of the performance - was actually unplanned. They’re just perfectly in sync like that; such is the bond of holostars’ Gen 3.
  • In a landmark occasion, La+ got the chance to interview Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz about their roles in The Batman. This is one of the first times that big name Western stars have interacted with VTubers. Furthermore, as a huge fan of the Superhero genre, this is a tremendous feat for La+. Special note should be made of this happening just short of 5 whole months into her career.
  • The Link Your Wish paid concert:
    • Korone doing both a high kick and a front-walkover while singing the infamous I Can’t Beat Air Man for Link Your Wish, complete with live backing music. Considering that Korone is one of the least “idol-like” in terms of activities in hololive, this was one hell of a performance. She later explained that she did it because it fit with the song, and that she had to push past the management's doubts that the movement tracking would work. Incidentally, she did this (and her performance as a whole) about a week or two after fracturing one of her fingers.
    • AkiRose performed "Heroine Audition" in the previous fes., and in this concert she goes back to her first original song "SHALLYS", complete with a choreography that was briefly hinted at in the 3DMV.
    • Holo Myth and Holo ID 1st Gen got to perform in 3D during Link Your Wish. Various Holo JP members including their kouhai were in awed of their appearances and performances. Moona and Risu got some of the biggest reactions. Moona's stage presence and dance moves had the other members likening her to a professional artist and diva. Risu - who doesn't get nearly as much attention and exposure as most of the other members - utterly stunned everyone with her vocal range, to the point that she was compared to Celine Dion and Suisei (one of the best singers in the entire company) wants to learn from her. Risu responded with surprise, reiterated how much she looks up to Suisei, said she's now worried about setting the bar too high, and that she wants to try singing different genres.
  • On Calli's 2022 birthday concert, she announced that she signed with Universal Music Group, and that she was going to be performing a live concert in July, in an arena. A massive milestone.
  • Just like La+, Fubuki managed to interact with a major Western star by getting to interview Jared Leto about Morbius.
  • Polka confirms she's one of the bravest Hololive members when she goes skydiving for the first anniversary episode of Legend of Polka.
  • The animated music video for "Marine Set Sail!!" is an absolute feast for the eyes accompanying one of Marine's best original songs.
  • For Sana's birthday on 10th June 2022, several fans got together to create a birthday card and send it into the stratosphere! Sana herself took notice of it on Twitter, attended the video's Youtube debut and was incredibly moved by the gesture!
  • The second teaser for hololive Alternative builds up on the hype created by the first trailer, and it's clear the animation skyrocketed in the time lapse between the two trailers. In this second teaser, the JP members from Gen. 0 through 5 that were left out the last time get to shine, and holoMyth and ID Gen. 1 also join in on the fun. The teaser is also accompanied by the new song "story time", performed by top-tier singers Suisei, AZKi, Moona and IRyS under the group name "Star Flower". A couple of action scenes are shown, namely Polka rescuing Nene from a a giant snake and throwing out a smoke bomb that Botan then snipes, with Lamy following up with an ice spell through the smoke; and Calli and Kiara duking it out at dusk.
  • Right around Gura's birthday on the 19-20th of June, 2022, Amelia apparently orchestrated the efforts to bring all of Myth together for an off-collab. Gura revealed in her call-in stream that she was at Amelia's home, and the two of them held an off-collab karaoke. Kiara was physically present during Gura's Birthday stream and mentioned that she had to completely stifle her own sounds of laughter and movement. Kiara later held an off-collab with Ina and Gura to taste-test Pop Tarts in celebration of Amelia taking her to a Wal-Mart for the first time.
  • Capping off Korone's June 23rd, 2022, collab stream with Sega was an announcement that Korone would be doing voice work on the JP dub of Sonic the Hedgehog 2! While likely only a bit or cameo role, what a coup for both Korone and Cover!
  • On June 29th, 2022, the fabled full HoloMyth off-collab would happen, with a surprise cameo from Baelz!
  • Kiara's "3D Birbday Stream" is a huge one for Kiara, Ame and frequent Hololive collaborator Kanauru. A 3D dancing stream was normally scheduled for Kiara's birthday, but a few days before the event, the normal equipment malfunctioned and the normal Hololive stage was not available for the streaming. Cue Amelia coming to the rescue and working her ass off with Kanauru, in order to setup a stage on time for Kiara's birthday. In the end, the event was postponed only for a couple of hours, and a fully professional stage was setup, allowing Kiara to show off her dancing skills for more than ten full hours!
  • As a testament to hololive's ever-improving production quality for the live 3D concerts, Towa mentions in a retrospective of her 2022 birthday concert that despite Moona and Risu having their segments recorded overseas, she was able to synchronize her movements with the ID talents; the shot of her touching palms with Risu was extra difficult, but very well worth the effort.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, dancing YAGOO in the flesh.
  • During her 1 Year Anniversary stream, Bae had to pause the playback of her debut stream when she noticed that Ironmouse became a member of the Rat Pack.
  • Iroha's 3D debut has, of all things, a fully choreographed sword fight between her and a shadowy home invader, with dynamic camera angles really making it feel like a scene from a movie. Iroha isn't just a friendly face, and this scene proves it.
  • During Axel's superchat reading, he receives one superchat with the message "VTUBER CRINGE". Axel takes it professionally and reminds the sender that he should have fun with everyone in the stream instead of bringing negativity. While he feels bad for the sender to be singled out as the one person who ruins the fun, he advises him to enjoy what he wants. Later, the sender regrets what he did and decides to leave because he realizes that Axel is a Nice Guy. However, Axel tells him that he's welcomed to watch his stream if he wants to.
  • After taking two-week break from streaming, Kronii announces on her Twitter that she would be collaborating with whomever she wants in response to the backlash she received from antis regarding the Dead by Daylight collab with her Holostars Tempus juniors, Altare and Vesper. Minutes later, Cover issued a statement where they would support their talents' activities and remind the community not to attack them.
  • Altare shows off his impressive collection of rare Pokemon cards, some of which are highly-valued PSA Graded cards. Then during the card pack opening, he proceeds to shock everyone with a Gold VMAX Pikachunote , which he promptly and delicately sleeves up to protect it.
  • Roberu's birthday stream was met with birthday messages from three voice actresses: Shibasaki Noriko, Yui Kondo (who voices one of his favorite im@s characters and even tuned in to one of his Mario Kart streams), and, most of all, Reina Ueda. Also crosses into Funny due to his incredibly over-the-top excited reaction to all these messages, having to pause the videos now and then to process all this.
  • Props to Altare's manager who worked extremely hard to permit a hololive-Nijisanji EN collab. The Altare-Alban collab was definitely well-received, and it's opened up the possibility of more cross-company EN collabs in the near future, including the long-awaited Kiara-Pomu VR collab!
  • Marine's 3rd anniversary concert gleefully embraces her "30-year-old boomer" gag with covers of songs from the Showa era (1926 - 1989), complete with Deliberate VHS Quality and 4:3 ratio.
  • At Yukihana Lamy's insistence, the company that produced her branded sake entered it into the International Wine Challenge 2022, where it proceeded to win a bronze award. Keep in mind that the IWC presents awards based entirely on blind taste-testing; Yuki-Yo-Zuki got that award on its own merit, not just because Lamy represents it.
  • While streaming the EXPO, they have a skit where the Shubarudo Duck gets hounded by sentai villains in black when the Noel cosplayer as the emcee asks for help. Cue The Great O-Khan showing up and protecting the Shuba Duck in the name of his favorite hololive member (even pulling off the Oozora Subaru Sheepicide move). Even better, he had just finished a match on the day he went to the expo.
  • For Korone's 4th year anniversary, she sings the opening of Galaxy Cyclone Braiger and Space Runaway Ideon and duets with Isao Taira!
  • Mel proving that she can think outside the box in Koyori's "Sea Turtle Soup" streamnote  that even Koyori was sometimes surprised at Mel's creative way of thinking, proving that she's the "Tensai Vampire".
  • In the VTuber Awards 2023, Hololive received the awards for "Best VTuber Org" and "Best Concert Event" (Connect the World) with their girls grabbing 6 awards themselves (7 if you include Gwar Gura's Chumbuds for "Most Dedicated Fanbase").note
  • Bae wins ¥1 million from a Bingo contest held by Cover Corp. to be used for projects of her choosing. She wanted to do a collab song with everyone from Myth, Promise, and Advent, so with those winnings, she can make the dream come true.
  • In March 2024, Calli announced that she, as a comic and anime lover, got a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with a franchise and collaboration no one would ever think of: WIT Studio and... DC COMICS! She wrote the EN lyrics for and performed the ending song, "Go-Getters", teased in the third trailer, for DC's very first anime series, Suicide Squad ISEKAI. The reception from the Deadbeats towards the news is overwhelmingly positive, which is something that Calli deeply appreciates.
  • On April Fool's Day 2024, Pekora has her mother Pekomama make her "debut", complete with her own Live2D model, and with management's approval, as an elaborate gag. Even so, the gag stream has proved to be an astronomical success, peaking at 181,563 viewers, to Pekora's comical fury. Barring the April Fool's Day aspect, it barely edges out Koyori's debut stream, which peaked at 180,499 viewers, as the most successful VTuber debut.
