Kiara and Calliope were married in one of Kiara's past lives
Kiara's Resurrective Immortality results in her losing memories whenever she revives. Since Calliope is probably the only constant in her many lives, there may have been one or multiple times that they attempted a romantic relationship and possibly got married as a result. Kiara has no recollection of these lives so refers to Calli as her "wife" out of instinct, while Calli's standoffish behavior towards Kiara is a defense mechanism to prevent herself from falling for someone who will inevitably forget such a relationship upon rebirth, and even then will not remember any of the details. Partially confirmed during a Q and A session where Calliope has said there are multiple rebirths when Kiara completely fails to regain her memories and so Calli gives up on trying to restore them and instead just makes new ones with her "new friend."

The missing person in Altare's photo from the Holostars Tempus manga is the viewer
While there are theories of this person is a long-lost guildmember who is possibly a future Holostars EN member, there's this one video that says it's possible that this person might be the viewer (us) because the world of Tempus, Elysium, is probably an MMO and we are the player character who hangs out with the Tempus guild. This might be the reason Altare is having memory problems trying to recall this person because we logged off for a long time.

Alternatively, the missing person was Kronii (Krono?), who was a normal human before an unspecified incident involving an Abstract Apotheosis and subsequent Ret Conjuration
  • Both Altare and Kronii are blue.
  • Both TEMPUS and the Council have connections to Omega, with Altare in particular carrying a gun that they also happen to own.
  • "TEMPUS" doesn't just mean "time," but also its passage and any term that can simplify to "the right time."
  • Kronii is semi-frequently joked to be the guild's honorary fifth member following numerous shenanigans with her and TEMPUS that have not been replicated without their presence. In-universe, this could translate to Amnesiac Resonance.
  • A Time Master who seemingly has enough power and sway to have a seat in a place like the Council could be able to rewrite history to always will have had been its ruler, while also doing so with enough precision to leave something behind and intentionally invoke the Timey-Wimey Ball to make it so.

Albeit one where a certain group of college students figured it out before any central authority and got in completely over their heads for it.note

As for the previous Ina from the holoweEN stories? She's a pataphysicist skilled enough to give the good Dr. Placeholder McDoctorate a run for his money. After all, he needed a run-in with an eldritch being and decades of research to start harvesting our creative juices and translating it to quantum science. Ina, however, tied everything to the observer effect and got us to alter her reality and fuel a full-on Restart the World plot in a tiny fraction of this time. And Place sure as hell never remade any worlds; it's actually implied his Alternate Universe counterparts have a nasty habit of simply leaving them to die in silence. Ina's plot, on the other hand, doesn't exactly burn up her universe to make a new one, merely altering history.

1st Generation

    Haato Akai / Haachama

Akai Haato has become an Isekai protagonist
I'll admit I'm stealing this one but some fans have noticed that Haachama displays considerably more Haato-like behaviour when around the HoloEN members. The theory goes that Haachama did indeed kill Haato but rather than just die it caused her to be reborn into Hololive English. Maybe Haachama used a truck.

Akai Haato died some time in the past, and Haachama is the one who's alive all this time
An illustration, seen during a video titled "COEXIST FOREVER", of a young looking pair of girls and overlaid with the text Coexist forever, suggests the possibility that Akai Haato and Haachama were originally 2 separate people during their youth. More specifically, Akai Haato and Haachama were beloved childhood friends, inseparable. Until Haato died. Haachama took up her mantle and her name to honour her, lasting up to Hololive. But the constant interactions with her kouhais and her chat wore her down, until her true nature as Haachama awakened. However, her years of activities, having given life to the continued conceptualization of Akai Haato, awakened her dormant spirit and allowing her to manifest from time to time. Haachama, quite clearly spooked by the reemergence of her suppose-to-be-dead friend, tried to suppress Haato at first. Even going so far as to 'kill' her again and again. But a concept can not be easily killed. Hence the back and forth that continues to this day.
  • Jossed. During one of the last scenes in "#BADEND", some of the lines Haato said to Haachama on the phone were "So you're still alive." and "Even though you're really not supposed to be here anymore.", all while Haato continuously expresses her regret over the promise to stay together forever that she has made with Haachama in their youth, both immediately before and during the scene in question. This pretty much confirms that if Haato and Haachama being originally twins is true, then Haachama is the one who died at some point during Haato's childhood, who came back to haunt her, whether via Demonic Possession or literally becoming her split personality. And indeed this ended up being the canon, as revealed in "#COEXIST".

Red Heart is either a reincarnation of Akai Haato, or Haato in disguise
Red Heart, introduced in the stream titled "[DEBUT STREAM] HololiveEN2.0 #HololiveEN0 #TEAMHAATO" might not be a new personality after all. Many small details about her is suspiciously similar to Akai Haato, who was 'killed' at the end of the #BADEND stream a day before (February 28th, 2021). These include:
  • Her birthday being February 28th, specifically the same day as Haato's 'death'.
  • When asked what age she became on her birthday, she initially answered "0" (which would be in-line with the narrative of her being 'born' yesterday), before abruptly correcting herself (as if she said something she's not meant to say) and saying that she's "-3" instead. 3 is the number of birthdays Haato has had since debuting. Additionally, there's also the parallel of the time when Haato introduced herself as 3 years old in an older English Minecraft stream, at a time where Haachama as a persona didn't yet existed.
  • When asked what her name is, she initially answered that she has no name (possibly Death Amnesia? Also, as shown many times in the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc, Haato is easily prone to Alternate Identity Amnesia). She later states that her name is "Red Heart", which is literally "Akai Haato" but in English.
  • Throughout the stream, Heart would receive phone calls from Haachama, in the exact same manner Haato and Haachama are shown to interrupt each other on-stream throughout the whole HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc.
  • Even the title of the stream itself is a Continuity Nod to the unarchived stream that officially kickstarted the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc ("DEBUT STREAM #HololiveEN0 ※No archive"). Considering that the stream the day before placed strong emphasis on the term "BAD END", which in the perspective of a game would involve the player going back to the past to change events in order to achieve a GOOD/TRUE END, this new debut stream might very well be a stealth Call-Back to the time Haato was brought back at the start of February 2021, possibly even being an In-Universe Story Reset, where events are playing out significantly differently this time around.

Red Heart is the fusion between Akai Haato and Red-kun
In Red-kun's original debut video, Haato decided to name the theoretical couple channel "Red Heart". Red Heart, the persona, has the same name as the union of the two characters... What if this isn't a coincidence and this is actually Haato's way of bringing him into the conflict, resulting in the creation of a being that's both Red(-kun) and Haato? We've seen Red-kun return in singing streams held within the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc so surely he still exists. Also, have you ever seen Heart in the same room as Haato or Red-kun? Clearly Red Heart's debut is preparation for the climatic final battle between Haato/Red-kun and Haachama that will decide the fate of the Haato-verse.

The grand finale of the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc will result in Akai Haato and Haachama separating in some way
The original scheduled date for the finale is March 3rd, 2021. Throughout the arc, any date with an 8 in them has always resulted in Haachama 'killing'/suppressing Haato in one way or another note . It can be said that the number 8 represents Haachama, and by extension her taking over the body. Strangely enough, when the 3rd of March is written as 3/3, it visually resembles the number 8 divided into two halves. When applied to the situation at hand, it could mean Haachama's hold on Haato finally comes to an end. It might even be possible that the ending will be a case of Literal Split Personality, where Haachama ends up joining Hololive English, leaving Haato in Hololive Japan. Alternatively, 3/3 represents perfect harmony between the two halves, and instead, a being that can switch between Haato and Haachama at will is born.

The unknown caller in the 2021 April time travel arc is a member of Hololive English
Throughout the time travel arc, there has been a recurring phone call from an "Unknown Caller". Not only does Amelia from Hololive English has the time travel link, but if it is a member of Hololive English calling (possibly across time), it would explain the unknown caller part as Hololive English has yet to exist in August 2020.

The 2021 April time travel arc is actually Lolichama's origin story
In "[Room tour!!]ヲタク部屋観光がガチすぎる" (April 2021), the final scene shows two Haachamas meeting each other note . Some people assumed that this is present Haachama meets past Haachama... But what if this isn't the case and that the other Haachama is actually Lolichama, as introduced in this singing stream? She's not only a younger version of Haachama, but she's also the only other character who looks exactly like her. In addition, "SINGCHAMA", the stream that started the whole arc, is also a singing stream, so it's entirely plausible.

Red Heart will become a villian at some point
In "REVIVAL", one scene shows a picture of a tied up and imprisoned Haato, the same picture seen in the HAACHAMA×Akaihaato arc. It is then followed up by "HELP US...", a key phrase that also originated from the finale of the same arc. This rules out Haato being the villain of this arc. The next scene transitions to the same room from the privated "[DEBUT STREAM] HololiveEN2.0 #HololiveEN0 #TEAMHAATO" stream, where Red Heart made her first appearance. Inside the room, a mysterious voice spoke a number of lines that are very likely have story significance later. Combine all these with the fact that the thumbnail of the stream features 'Haato' in her New Year's outfit (Red Heart's outfit), not to mention that the same picture shows up again in what is possibly a Laser-Guided Amnesia/Ret-Gone (and it might not even be who you think it happened to...) sequence, and you have the perfect set-up for the new villain of this arc.

The fights between Haato and Haachama are basically just their household version of a sibling spat
They're not actually antagonistic to each other. It's just that, due to clearly being either already dead or effectively unkillable, the standards for what is acceptable when two siblings want to tussle between each other are very... different. And the fact that both of them have clearly got a knack for psychological horror doesn't help.

3rd Generation/hololive Fantasy

    Marine Houshou
Marine Houshou is a future/AlternateTimeline version of Amelia Watson
Marine's new outfit has a pocket watch. Amelia also has one which is apparently her time machine. On it's own, this isn't enough to link the two. But if we look closely at where they are, they appear to be worn at similar positions. Also if we are to look further into both of their character traits, we notice that Amelia and Marine are both perceived to be and act lewd, they both have loud and outgoing personalities and both are trying to learn languages that they don't speak.

6th Generation/holoX

    La+ Darkness
La+ used to be a pro rapper before being sealed and losing her memories
La+ has stated that her response rap to Haachama was her first attempt at rapping. Considering that it swiftly got Haachama to (temporarily) admit defeat, this comes off as hard to believe. Perhaps, among her many other accomplishments before being sealed, she used to be one of the greatest rappers in the world as well, to such an extent that even the seal couldn't keep her fully in check.

La+'s objective, and, by extension, the entirety of holoX's objective, was never about conquering the world.
Seeing as how some of her memories along with her powers have been sealed away, and how La+ contradictorily wants to be both a hero of justice and a tyrant ruling over the world, it's entirely possible she actually forgot what her objectives were, and the other four play along because one, they don't want to upset her, and two, it provides good cover for whatever their true secret objective is. It might be they're not even an evil organization after all, but even good motivations are sometimes better kept secret.

La+’s crow was sent to observe her by whoever had her sealed
La+ considers her Head Pet Crow to be a Sidekick Creature Nuisance, saying that it just showed up one day, perched on her head and wouldn’t leave her side no matter what she did to try and throw it off her trail. Considering this absolute doggedness, it’s entirely possible that Crow was sent by the person/group that sealed La+’s powers to monitor her and make sure she didn’t try anything. Crows are very intelligent birds (being able to mourn their dead, hold grudges, recognise faces, and even engage in rudimentary labor), so I don’t doubt that one could carry out long-term orders.
La+ sealed herself on purpose
"Laplace's demon" is a theoretical entity that serves as the mascot of causal determinism, a theory that posits that free will does not exist, that everything is determined in advance by the laws of physics, and that if someone had full knowledge of the location of every single particle in the universe, they would be able to predict the future. La+ is that someone, making her effectively omniscient. Now you may ask, what power in the universe could possibly seal someone who knows everything that will happen at all times?

Herself. The only such power is herself.

La+ is basically in the same situation as Doctor Manhattan. She is all-powerful and yet more powerless than anyone. Simply knowing what will happen does not make her exempt from the rules. She cannot shape her own fate. She is a puppet very well aware of the strings, yet unable to do anything about them. Nothing but continuing to act out this play, all the while knowing exactly what she will do, and what everyone else will do, thousands upon thousands of years before they ever actually do it, knowing that she cannot possibly ever change the outcome. It's a boring and existentially crushing existence. Of course, the fact that she would eventually give up this power is something she foresaw too, eons before it actually happened.

She may no longer be the powerhouse she once was, but she probably feels happier than she ever did in millennia.

    Koyori Hakui
Koyori is a relative of Wile E. Coyote
Hmmm, a coyote supergenius with a penchant for using various hi-tech devices (which tend to explode on her)? Now where have we seen that before...

    Lui Takane
La+ is not the true leader of holoX. Lui is.
The name of the secret society, holoX, is pronounced not as it sounds, but rather as something like "horuks". This very wiki points out this is very similar to the Japanese pronunciation of "Horus". Horus is an Egyptian deity with the head of a falcon. The logo of the organization also closely resembles a bird with spread wings.

Who's the one in holoX with bird of prey motifs? It sure as hell ain't La+.

It's Lui, the Beleaguered Assistant who just so happens to be much more competent than her boss and effectively in charge of the organization because La+ is in no shape to actually lead anything, reducing her to the role of a fancy figurehead. Incidentally, La+ has a bird constantly sitting atop her head and apparently refusing to leave... almost as if it were monitoring her on someone's behalf?

In the MV for her original song, Lui is the one sitting at what is very clearly the leader's position at the table.
  • The sister theory to this is that this is all a double whammy and that La+ herself (presumably at the height of her power) intentionally chose this bird theming to make Lui into the figurehead of the organization while she played the eminence in shadow. Effectively, everything hinges on whether holoX was founded before La+'s sealing (in which case she would have been smart enough to pull a move like this) or after (in which case, while La+ is officially the founder, it's very likely that the society was actually founded as a result of Lui's machinations and to serve Lui's ends, not La+'s).

    ReGLOSS
ReGLOSS are based on, or are, The Four Gods.
Look at their color schemes - blue, red, white, black, yellow. It's a precise match: Ao is the Azure Dragon, Ririka is the Vermillion Bird, Hajime is the White Tiger, Raden is the Black Tortoise and Kanade is the Yellow Dragon.

hololive Indonesia

    Anya Melfissa
Anya Melfissa is either 75 or 77 years old at the time of her debut.
Anya gave the viewers a slight peek at her age on her debut stream (it was originally smudged out in white), revealing the first digit to appear to be the number 7, with a portion of a horizontal top line for the second digit, which implies it's number 5 or 7. She states that she's older than most of the humans (viewers).

    Kureiji Ollie
The reason why Ollie is a zombie, but looks more like a Frankenstein's Monster...
It's because, while she may be a friendly neighborhood Revenant Zombie, Ollie still is a zombie, and has to deal with the associated issues, such as her body being a rotting, festering mess. Obviously enough, for an idol, the idea of showing up in front of her audience with maggot-infested holes and limbs falling off is... not ideal, so, much like Joseph/Cartaphilus in The Ancient Magus' Bride, Ollie resorted to... replacing failing patches of skin and body parts on occasion. Exactly where she gets these replacement parts is probably best left unpondered.

hololive English

    Calliope Mori
Calliope Mori is on hiatus from reaping due to multiple failed attempts to kill Amelia Watson.
Watson's time ran out during her childhood, so Calli was sent to properly end her life and take her soul by Death-sensei... yet because she was (and still is) in training, she could never manage to do it after multiple attempts. This explains Watson's shockingly numerous near death experiences or grievous injuries. Every time Calli had attempted to reap Amelia's soul, Amelia somehow survived to adulthood and regards most of these stories as just strange but humorous occurrences. Death probably got fed up with Calli's failures and sent her on a Snipe Hunt to go reap the soul of a phoenix, which resulted in Calli and Kiara's initial encounters and later antagonistic friendship. Watson is still alive because Death extended the time she would be allowed to live and would rather let nature take its course instead of trying to engineer any sort of fatal traps against her due to her time being "up" at a younger age.

Calliope is a Living Weapon
The "reaper body" that Calli uses to stream is not hers, which she has revealed several times. Since she is the metaphysical concept of death possessing the body and is technically genderless, Calliope's true form is actually the scythe. The "girl" was provided by Cover to function as a doll for Calliope to use.
  • That doesn't explain the complete absence of the scythe in most of Calli's outfits beside her default one, although it could easily be a Shapeshifting Weapon.

    Kiara Takanashi

Kiara Takanashi is the chick that Pekora spared in Minecraft
During one of Pekora's Minecraft stream, after a chicken and a chick escaped their coop, Pekora ended up killing the chicken as she "won't forgive deserters", but spared the chick as it was only a child, all while telling it to live and remember her for killing its mother. The chick did, and dedicated its life to avenge its mother. Somewhere along the way, it somehow became a phoenix via Evolutionary Levels, Super-Empowering, Metamorphosis, A Wizard Did It etc.

As for how this could be possible and not contradict her backstory from her debut stream at the same time (e.g. the stream and Kiara's debut was only months apart)? Considering said backstory states that every time she dies and revive herself, she would be reborn in another dimension, it could be a case of Narnia Time; in which time flows differently in the different dimensions, or Time Travel happens whenever she is reborn. The reason that there were no mentions of this from Kiara is because as revealed by her "Re:Debut" stream in December 2020, she loses her memory each time she revives. Perhaps the memory of her 'first life' was lost upon her first resurrection, or she losing a fragment of it each resurrection until it was gone completely, or she just simply forgot/gotten over it as time went on. In any case, it would tie in nicely with her obsession with Pekora; where despite she's still being drawn to her subconsciously, there is no hatred this time.

Kiara's Mythbreakers character, Tiara, is actually named Ti.
Where does the ara part come from? Her Verbal Tic, where she says -ara at the end of sentences. Her name is actually Ti, but said ara after and rolled with it.

    Ina'nis Ninomae
Ina'nis Ninomae and Suzuhara Lulu bodies are swapped
Think about it. Ina'nis looks like Eldritch Abomination, but overall a sweet Cute Monster Girl while Suzuhara Lulu is commonly perceived as the exact opposite.
Ina also has done several art streams before, Lulu has never done an art stream.

    Gura Gawr
Gura Gawr is a Deep Cover Agent
She's an advance scout from Atlantis sent to observe us before Atlantis invades.

    Amelia Watson
Amelia Watson is a Time Lord.
Time traveller, prophetic dreams, very odd? It's kind of obvious. Her office is actually part of her TARDIS, and her watch may be as well.

Building off the Time Lord Ame theory
One of the few things we learned about Hitomi Chris before she was Exiled from Continuity was that she was supposed to be a time traveler from the future. Chris was never heard from again after her graduation, and Ame is widely suspected of meddling in Hololive's history (see: how Coco supposedly joined the company). If Ame's a Time Lord, then it's not a stretch to imagine that Chris was a previous regeneration of hers.

    Baelz Hakos
Her constantly changing accent is a manifestation of her nature as Chaos.
Chaos is defined by constant change, so naturally the voice of its avatar would be constantly changing in some fashion.

Bae being the Straight Man of Council half the time isn't contradictory to her nature as Chaos.
After all, to control chaos would be un-chaotic. So she doesn't wield it the way the others wield their aspects - she attracts it.

    Kronii Ouro
Kronii is a Time Lord.

It just makes sense.

    Shiori Novella
Shiori has come in contact with The Ancient Ones.

There are strong eldritch undertones about Shiori's whole shtick and The Ancient Ones are just the usual suspects for this kind of thing in hololive. In addition to Ina, they have featured in Sana's backstory as well, so there's really no reason they couldn't be connected to yet another talent. If true, though, this opens up some interesting questions as to why Ina is allowed to run free while Shiori was imprisoned.

One interpretation could be that Ina, though she serves as the conduit of the Ancient Ones' power (manifesting in the form of her tentacles), does not have full knowledge of exactly what she's dealing with, while Shiori learned too much and got hit with the full weight of the truth. Speaking metaphorically, Ina has only ever seen the "limbs" of the Ancient Ones, while Shiori beheld the "face" in its full glory (explaining the dripping eye symbolism).

Another interpretation could be that trying to restrain Ina would bring forth the full wrath of the Ancient Ones, something the gods want to avoid, while Shiori did not have such a safety net.

And then a third interpretation is that Shiori's knowledge of the Ancient Ones has nothing to do with the true reason she was imprisoned. This is perhaps the creepiest possibility of the bunch, since it means that the existence of horrifying extradimensional entities is somehow not the most disturbing and dangerous knowledge Shiori holds in her head, and just thinking about what could possibly be worse than that is unpleasant, to say the least.
