• Ass Pull: The reveal that Kyra was born a tri-ling from her birth father's side — rather than accidently becoming one, from contact with a magic book — during Season 2 comes completely out of left field with little-to-no build up or foreshadowing whatsoever. It feels like a cheap way to make Kyra blend in better with magical world, and not have to feel like as much of an outsider.
• Les Yay:
  • Imogen's fixation with Orla. At first she appears to be merely looking up to a role model. Then this GIF from 1x16◊ shows her interest. She is quite pleased to be simply acknowledged by her even non-verbally.
  • In Season 2, Imogen and Tayla interact in ways which suggest possible mutual attraction. Most notably, Imogen decides to go for art school in the finale, a clear sign of Tayla's influence on her otherwise-strong ambition to join the DMI.
