• Despite not being Kyra's biological dad, Steve is protective and caring towards Kyra.
  • Kyra seems to be close to Steve as well, as shown by how she didn't want to lie to him.
• Professor Maxwell being sympathetic to Kyra when she learns about her magical abilities. He seems to know that it scares and upsets Kyra, and wants to help her.
• Lily's happiness when Kyra sits in the class in episode 2.
  • Darra immediately starts to bond with Kyra, talking about a smoothie place they both like.
• When Lily doesn’t want to reverse a spell that made Peter think he was Romeo (due to the fact that he said he loved her, thinking she was Juliet) Kyra tells Lily that she deserves someone who doesn’t need a spell to say that she’s wonderful, and Imogen reluctantly agrees.
  • Also, when the spell is done and Peter gets his memory back, Imogen is seen with a hand on Lily’s shoulder.
• In Season 2, after an incident with a destructive cobra which was precipitated by his students, Professor Maxwell takes all the blame at the DMI inquiry and accepts his suspension from teaching. Relatedly, Sean Reegan later moves to request an appeal of the suspension, showing that even after Kyra's presence in the Maxwell school has been shaking things up in the magical world, he still believes Maxwell to be the best teacher for both Kyra and his daughter Lily.
