YMMV / Pokémon: Gospel Version

Go To

  • Designated Hero: Our protagonists destroy property, harass people, rob from the elderly, hijack a plane and even try to assassinate an elected official with their Pokémon, and yet are treated as the heroes by the narrative simply because they share the author's Christian viewpoint.
  • Designated Villain: Colress doesn't do anything remotely evil in the fanfic, mostly giving lectures on human evolution, working on his election campaign and promoting his satirical novel. But because of the author's views, he's treated as heinous. Team Plasma also get this treatment, at worst being rather preachy about their atheism but otherwise generally rational and affable people.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Accidentally done with Ghetsis. While he's a villain in the story, he's still leagues more heroic than his monstrous canon counterpart. It doesn't help that Team Plasma as a whole is subjected to the Designated Villain treatment.
  • Rooting for the Empire: Ash is shot dead by security at the end of the fanfic. But because he and Brock tried to use their Pokemon for murder note ,) it's safe to say that he had it coming.
