The Comic Book

  • Adorkable:
    • Nooby is as sweet as can be, has the mindset of a child, and is cheerful.
    • Teela is sometimes shy and loves science.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Nooby's childlike innocence and cheerfulness has made him very popular among fans.
    • A election was held on the Pocket God website over whose favorite male and female pygmies are. Naturally, Nooby won amongst the males, but Sun and Moon tied for popularity.
  • Shipping: It's common for fans to pair up the pygmies who are not in a relationship based on their closest counterpart.
    • Booga and Kinsee because their quarreling can be interpreted as Belligerent Sexual Tension. Booga also initially tried to flirt with Kinsee.
    • Dooby and Toola because they're the down-to-earth hippie pygmies.
    • Nooby and Linsee because they're the goofy ditzes.

The Video Game

  • Awesome Music:
  • Game-Breaker: In the Battle of the Gods minigame, Annal. He doesn't offer much damage even at level 20, but he makes up for it by activating the powers of every other idol in the player's current set upon winning a realm match up. Get the right combination of powers and you can become nigh unbeatable.
  • Growing the Beard: In the app's early days, the earlier episodes had barely any content and there was barely anything to do. But once Bolt Creative started to add more and more updates, leading to a much larger selection of content and more things to do with the Pygmies.
  • Squick: Some of the things in the game can be disgusting, including Pygmies vomiting when they've been infected with the plague.
  • Unintentional Period Piece: Some of the updates were definitely products of their time, such as the inclusion of "Charlie", a Pygmy who spouts nothing but then-recent Charlie Sheen references.
