- Killer App: It's right up there in popularity with Doodle Jump and Angry Birds, to the point of the former of those two games having a special guest appearance.
- Schedule Slip: The app originally followed through with the weekly updates, but production on new "episodes" slowed down in the coming years. In fact, the "Pocket God Update Song" pokes fun at the fans who still expected the weekly updates.
- Series Hiatus:
- The comic book usually churns out issues every two months, but the series is currently on hiatus after issue 25 came out in December 2013. Bolt Creative's Twitter feed explained that complications with the comic's publisher has lead to delays.
- The app itself stopped updating after Episode 48: Call of Booty, which was released in 2015. The official website then became no longer accessible due to an internal server error.
