Welcome to school!
"An undead alien runs a school for witches in WWI-era Connecticut, tries not to get evicted, and does her best to keep the coven together in a rapidly changing world. Welcome to Far-Star Summer School!"
Far-Star Summer school is a webcomic about what happens at Sunny Summer School, run by Kzrikke, AKA Karissa Kaldson, Matriarch of the Far-Star Coven. Its comic profile can be read here on ComicFury, and the comic itself can be read here.

Far-Star Summer School Contains Examples of:

  • Alliterative Name: Sunny Summer School.
  • All There in the Manual: Several details about some of the character’s personalities & backgrounds can be found in a page for the webcomic’s cast.
  • Amazing Technicolour Population: Some of the students at Sunny Summer School:
    • Namtara has vibrant yellow skin.
    • Leecha has green skin.
  • Blush Sticker:
    • Esther has round blushes on her cheeks.
    • Leecha too, although hers are a little more misshapen.
  • Cool School: Sunny Summer School is a school for learning various forms of witchcraft.
  • Familiar: Most of the students have familiars by the time the story starts. Namtara is particularly happy to have recently gotten a plant familiar, which Madame Karissa notes in a meeting with the school’s teachers, is a healthy, if unconventional familiar.
  • Glamour: From beyond the border of the school grounds, Madame Karissa and several others look like humans.
    • With focus, Madame Karissa is able to extend it’s effects to individuals who are within the school grounds.
    • Falguni’s third eye can sense when such illusions are in place, and, if she wants, allows her to see through them.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: Kzrikke’s eyes glow pure white light in her true, undead form.
  • Green Thumb: Namtara only cares about learning magic that can help her to grow plants. Fittingly, her familiar Anthosyn is a plant, and she adores him.
  • Having a Gay Old Time: Fitting the time period, some of the dialogue veers into this, as the comic takes place in Connecticut during WWI.
Primrose: (Upon seeing Namtara’s unusual plant familiar, Anthosyn) How queer!
  • Magical Incantation: Incantations are one of the forms of witchcraft taught at the school. Constanza notes that while it is the simplest one, it is the most difficult and exhausting one as well, being much easier to preform with the aid of a familiar.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: As stated by the description, Kzrikke, is an undead alien witch & Headmistress in WWI-era Connecticut.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Madame Karissa wears a green hat & robe. Several others at the school also have their own sets of witchy attire.
  • Seers: Primrose can get visions of the future with her familiar, although as a student, the accuracy of them is questionable. Falguni, a teacher at the school, has very accurate visions.
  • Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Falguni implies something along the lines of this trope, when she warns Constanza that the more Constanza tries to subvert the course of destiny, the more forcefully it will seek to prove her efforts to be futile.
  • Stepford Smiler: Emily puts up a front of acting like a Cheerful Child, but only because she hates feeling like her near-constant sadness makes her a burden.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: A downplayed example, Ygrid’s bio mentions that she likes grapefruit.
  • The Witch Hunter: The Far-Star coven does their best to appear like a normal summer school to avoid the wrath of a group of witch-hunters.
  • Wizarding School: Sunny Summer School is a school for witches.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Slightly downplayed; as much as Constanza wants to change it, Falguni makes it clear that what has been foreseen is next to impossible to change.
Falguni: "- the course of destiny is not an easy thing to deviate from."
  • Younger Than They Look: Sometime ago Falguni exchanged her youth & looks to enhance her third eye, but does not talk about her past, so while she looks to possibly be in her 80's, how old she really is, is unknown.
