SparkTales (今日のスカッと / Kyō no Sukatto, lit. "Today's Relief") is an original Vyond-animated YouTube anthology channel. It stars recurring characters such as Lisa, Mia, Madison, Noah, and the English-channel-exclusive Olivia, Liam, and Emily, and their relationships with other, one-off characters vary wildly from story to story.

  • Accidental Public Confession: In "Attending Sister's Wedding with New Partner: Unbelievable Outcome!" when Lisa and Noah attend Cecil and Lisa's wedding and she chews the groom for agreeing to have an affair with Leona despite her instigating it in the first place, the latter tauntingly asks the former if she's still upset over having Cecil stolen from her, with Cecil's parents within earshot. The couple gets understandably angry at the lovebirds for covering up their affair.
  • Aerith and Bob: A dub-induced example. The main characters and some one-offs have common names, but there are cases where either the latter's original Japanese names are kept in or have uncommon names, like Eamon, Zabel, or Audra.

Lisa receives a call from a colleague of her husband Calvin's revealing the man had an affair with a younger female coworker. Moreover, he planned an affair trip with his friends Braxton and Morgan, who also cheated on their wives. When Lisa arrives at the inn to crash the affair trip, it's revealed that Calvin's mistress, Kalista, was Manager Noah's wife.
  • Official Couple: Lisa and Noah will almost always get together in every story starring either of them.

  • Playing the Family Card: The protagonist's abusive family will almost always bring up familial ties whenever they get in trouble for their own foolish actions. Understandably, the protagonist won't have any of their crap and will banish the abusers out of their lives.

However, Lisa didn't fall for it and when the MIL left the dining room to get some sauce, she switched croquettes, causing the abusive crone to gag on the larva instead.
  • Punny Name: In "My Friend's Groom is My Vanished Ex," Gachiya's name is a play on the word gacha, referring to his habit of spending money on gacha parlors for ultra-rare ones.
  • Quitting to Get Married: In "She Stole My Husband, But Wedding Day Revenge Was Sweet!" Delphine finds out that the "rich doctor" husband she stole from Lisa, Elton, was actually an unemployed slacker who deceived her into an affair. She then goes into a rant about how she maxed out all her credit cards and quit her job thinking Elton would pay it all for her.

  • Sex with the Ex: In "Groom Cheats with Ex: Bride's Shocking Reaction!" Yannis is revealed to have cheated on Lisa with a young woman named Unity, who was his ex-girlfriend.

  • Thinks Like a Romance Novel: In "Nurse Eyes My Doctor Husband: Her Shocking Move!" Celeste insists on how Lisa stole Noah away from her and goes as far as to accuse their daughter, Madison, of not being Noah's child, Mia calls her out and muses if dramas influenced her.
  • Thinly-Veiled Dub Country Change: The English channel changes the settings from Japan to the USA and localizes most characters' names. However, there are still characters with Japanese names and elements from the country are still around, which makes the stories inconsistent.

  • Two-Timing with the Bestie: In "My Friend's Groom is My Vanished Ex," Lisa attends her best friend Kokoa's wedding and finds out the groom was her fiancé Gachiya, who left her at the altar and vanished six years ago. Enraged by the news, she called his parents, who revealed the cheating groom not only left Lisa at the altar but also had stolen three million yen from their account in his rush.
  • The Un-Favorite: Some stories cast Lisa as neglected, ignored, or mistreated in favor of a sibling.

    • "Sister Claims My Fiancé: The Ultimate Introduction Twist!": Lisa was ignored in favor of her older sister, Marlowe, who stole her things with impunity because their parents protected her. Moreover, when Lisa announces she's getting married, their parents demand she introduce him to Marlowe so the man will marry her instead.
    • "Neglected by Parents: My Big Reveal Shocks Them!": Lisa was always compared to her sister Briar because the latter was a famous child actress while the former couldn't make it.
    • "Pranked My Wedding Dress? Got Kimono Ready!": Lisa's older sister, Kimberly, was doted on by their parents since she was the prettier one. When the sisters' nosy aunt blabbed Kimberly about Lisa's upcoming wedding, she and her parents try to punish the latter for getting married before the former. To this effect, they broke into her wedding's dressing room to ruin her dress. However, it turns out Lisa was having a traditional Japanese wedding at a temple; the dress turns out to have belonged to Mia, who was notorious for her superhuman strength. 
    • "Sister's Fiancé Drama: Shocking Wedding Day!": Lisa's younger sister, Briony, was spoiled rotten by their parents because of her looks and cheerful personality. Moreover, she always had a habit of stealing Lisa's stuff and even her fiancé, Noah, when Lisa introduced him to their parents.

    • "Pranked My Wedding Dress? Got Kimono Ready!" Lisa's older sister, Kimberly, with the help of their parents, spills paint all over the former's wedding dress in revenge for marrying before Kimberly. However, it becomes all for naught when Lisa reveals it wasn't even her dress; she was having a traditional Japanese wedding. When they dismissed it as a bluff, Lisa sent them a photo of herself and Noah in kimonos. Much to their dismay, the dress belonged to Mia, whom Kimberly described as having beaten several gorillas barehanded. As a result, Kimberly and her parents are billed the cost of Mia's dress, which they try to force on Lisa until Mia shows up holding a boulder in one hand.
    • "Presumed Dead: Sister Shocks Wedding with Her Return!" - A pissed-off Callan calls off his wedding with Jolene upon learning she faked Lisa's death and told off the sisters' parents for going along with her lies and futilely demanding the staff kick Lisa out of the venue for exposing her. In response, Jolene and her parents proceed to break all the ornaments out of spite only for Noah and Mia to reveal the dishes they broke and the carpets they dirtied in their tantrum amounted to several millions of dollars. As a result, Jolene and her parents were forced to pay all the damages and cancellation fees.
  • Wedding Smashers:
    • In "Wedding Shock: Fiancé Swaps Rings with My Sister!" Lisa's younger sister, Kayla, barges into her wedding with Edison to announce she's pregnant with the groom's child. Much to both Lisa and their mother's dismay, he celebrates the pregnancy and proceeds to marry Kayla instead.
    • "Uninvited Brother Crashes My 'Low-Class' Wedding!": Leander and Willow rush into Noah and Lisa's wedding when the groom reveals he never invited them, to which they take offense despite stating their earlier refusal to attend. When the stuck-up rich couple entered the venue, they played the part of the victimized sibling couple to fish for sympathy.
    • "My Friend's Groom is My Vanished Ex": After Lisa finds out the groom at Kokoa's wedding was her former fiancé Gachiya, who left her at the altar six years ago, she calls his parents to hold him accountable. Upon learning her groom is a cheating, gambling-addicted bastard who sees women as mere prizes to collect, Kokoa calls off the wedding and sues him for the cancellation fees.
  • White-Collar Crime:
    • "Husband Stolen by Childhood Friend: Her Victory Short-Lived" - Franklin is revealed to have embezzled money from the company on top of sleeping around while married to Lisa. When taken to task about it, he claims that his mistress, Rachel, told him that he could use as much as he wanted since he was the next CEO. However, Rachel replies by saying it was Franklin who said it was his money.
    • "Sister's Cruel Scheme to Steal Fiancé: Unexpected Hero Arrives!" - When Penelope tried to cover up that Noah fired her from KST Corporation by claiming she quit the company, Noah revealed he did fire her for her bad attitude and embezzlement of funds. Moreover, Lisa reveals that Penelope and her parents sunk into debt by taking loans from the Kyosuka Group, led by Mia.
