• Orphaned Reference: Scott's suggestion that the Villainous Vultures should throw the challenge to get rid of Lightning as well as his switch of plans from sabotaging his own team from last season to sabotaging the opposing team in this episode seems to come from one of the season's original concepts, which would have involved Scott adapting to a new ruthless strategy after watching all previous Total Drama episodes during the interim between Revenge and All-Stars, but Scott being the main antagonist again was shelved in favor of Mal and him being simply more strategic than before was shelved in favor of making him the Iron Butt Monkey comic relief character with a romantic subplot with Courtney.
