Trivia / The Masked Toon Singer

• Creator's Pet: Rain Cloud counts, considering that they would have been eliminated in the Spicy Nine had the author not rigged the game to spare them.
• Creator's Favorite: The author openly admitted that their favorite singers were Volcano and Rain Cloud.
• Executive Meddling: The author admitted that they eliminated Disco Ball and Top Hat in spite of them both getting enough votes to survive to the next round, both so he could spare Rain Cloud and a different other reason for each singer (He couldn't come up with any more songs for Disco Ball and he hadn't seen enough of Top Hat).
• Follow the Leader: While not the first of its kind, this series has been credited as the inspiration for several other Masked Singer fanfics, such as FreshlyBasked2014's version under the same name, The Masked Singer: Dreamy Edition and The Masked Crossover Singer.
• In Memoriam: Episode 11 of Season 3 was dedicated to Bob Saget, who participated in the real version of the show as Squiggly Monster and had tragically passed away a few days prior.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The author has confirmed that had Tree/Iris advanced to the next round, her next song would have been Queen's "We Are the Champions" as a reference to her time as champion and how she succeeded Alder in the role. Interestingly, this would have also meant the song would have been performed twice, as it was previously performed by Dog/Ash Ketchum.
  • Elephant/Berri would have sang "Hit Me Baby One More Time" had she made it to the wildcard round.
  • Had Chicken/Agent Gluntz made it further, two of her future songs would have been "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Bad Guy". The latter song was later sung by UFO/Ms.Tarantula in the same season.
  • Season 5 was going to have a Cricket costume that would have housed Mickey Mouse, but it was replaced with Hydra/Koopa Kid due to the author's editor believing them to be too obvious.
• Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Due to a persistence vote spammer, all voters now have to use a Google email in order to vote.
