Tropes
- Acting for Two: As usual inevitable with the cast but special mention goes to Duo having battle quoteswith Embryo especially since most fans assumed that they were just going to recycle quotes. Suzaku also has a line against Bizon (in Stage 37, the only stage they can actually fight).
- Actor Allusion:
- Wataru Ikusabe doesn't act out the line, but this is thrown in during one scenario:Wataru: "What?! So, unless we find someone with arms that stretch like rubber, there's no way?!"
- Wataru Ikusabe doesn't act out the line, but this is thrown in during one scenario:
- Casting Gag: Super Robot Wars X marks Keiichi Noda returning to voice another Familiar for an Original Generation protagonist (Ranshao for Hwang Yang Long), nor is this the first time he is cast as the game's True Final Boss before.
- Creator Cameo:
- Current Super Robot Wars series producer Takenobu Terada states he's part of the chorus for the new song from JAM Project for this game, "The Steel Warriors".
- During the final episode of Gundam: Reconguista in G, a farmer's father is voiced by show creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. In X, he appears in one scenario as a secret - by landing an allied unit on a certain panel with a Universal Century Gundam protagonist, Tomino's character will grant players special items. Amuro Ray even remarks "This guy reminds me of my dad..."note
- Posthumous Credit:
- As usual, Banjo Haran's voice clips were archived from the previous games where he was voiced by Hirotaka Suzuoki, who succumbed to lung cancer in 2006.
- Despite dying of colon cancer back in 2013, Chieko Honda is once again given a credit as Elpeo Ple and Ple Two.
- Promoted Fanboy: The official translation team for the English version of X includes Christina Rose, who previously worked on the Fan Translation of Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden and was hired by Bandai Namco Entertainment to work on the English localization as lead translator.
- The Other Darrin: In addition to returning cases of Vuitton and Kochou, a few characters from debut entry Mashin Hero Wataru received new voice actors; the latter two as a result of the original having passed away.
