Main Game

  • Perhaps taking cue from Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden and 'Melonhead Jiron', after Marie compared Shibaraku with a hippopotamus, the next time he speaks, his head is literally replaced with a literal hippopotamus head.
  • Masaki is getting real tired of always being warped to war-torn worlds.
  • When Maito and Gaine form up to create Mightgaine the first time, Wataru, Simon and Viral all start geeking out over it. It's as hilarious as it sounds.
  • Heero meeting Hopes/Spero for the first time.
  • The moment Lelouch joins the team, a fraction of the Norma are kind of scared of him. And you know what they call him? 'Boy-Ange'note  (with Ange herself occasionally getting called 'Girl-Lelouch'note ). The two even have similar evil grins.
  • The grim reaper rivalry between Duo and Death God.
  • Lelouch becoming a tsundere when Ange calls him a good guy.
  • Given how important and charismatic he is normally, Char's first appearance is incredibly anticlimactic. It begins with Mask setting up for another major battle with X-Cross... only for Char's forces to wipe out his entire army in three shots. Mask attempts to save face by unveiling his new secret weapon, the captured ZZ... except that nobody on his side can pilot the thing. Judau is so offended he storms in and tries to coach the poor hapless Capital Army Mook how to shift into neutral! Then Char himself finally takes to the battlefield... remarkably casually.
Judau: So, uh... you gonna fight us with that thing?
  • Himiko's response to Toraoh saying that he will make her his wife
    Himiko: What's a wife?
  • As soon as Shou manages to obtain Sirbine, both Cham and Silkie start arguing about who's the boss around Shou with the latter really getting annoyed with their voices screaming in his ears.
  • Ange and Kallen decide they want to join in on Shou's sword training. Lelouch, even now, still has a tendency for not knowing when to keep his mouth shut.
Ange: I don't really "get" swordsmanship, but if it'll make me stronger, I could give training a shot...
    Kallen: I'm down!
    Viral: Don't bother.
Lelouch: You're both already close to a void state. You hardly need the assistance of mental cultivation exercises.
Simon: Are you calling them emptyheaded?
    Kallen: Ex-CUSE me?!
Ange: Wow, Lelouch. Never knew you saw us that way.
Lelouch: H-Hey... If you cause a commotion, you'll be distracting Show from his training!
Iori/Amari: For all your smarts, you say some pretty colossally stupid things.../For all that your tactics pull the rug out from under your enemies, you certainly have a knoack for pulling it out from under yourself.
  • When Char and Kamille meet face to face again, Kamille says his hair looks ridiculous combed back. Char agrees and admits that he might have been trying to make it work.
  • Toraoh learns firsthand that you do NOT say no to Relena when she asks you to do your homework.
  • The final assault on Misurugi ends in a fakeout final battle against Embryo, requiring Ange to unlock the Villkiss's Discord Phaser to be able to counter Embryo's own. Captain Nemo tells Ange to focus on her ring, which can convey her wishes to the Villkiss...
Ange: ...I'll give it a try! Villkiss! Hurry up and awaken or I'll scrap you! (Discord Phaser unlocks) You heard me, huh, Villkiss? Good girl.
Salia: You call that a wish?! That was nothing but a threat!
Tusk: A-Are you sure you're cool with that, Villkiss?
    • And beforehand, when Chris just freaked out at everyone for not being her friends, many girls within X-Cross started to ask if she even considered them friends one by one, which somewhat calmed down Chris a bit, acknowledging that they treated her well, at least until she snaps back and focusing her anger on Hilda and Rosalie, which eventually led to their Heartwarming making up by default. What makes it funny was the fact that Chris snapping was supposed to be a serious moment, but then the volleys of questions and Chris meekly confirming them is a rather funny Mood Whiplash.
      • Oh, and what sets her off further? Bellri and Judau not knowing when to keep their mouths shut.
Bellri: Wait... So you were actually just jealous?
Chris: No one asked you! What do you know about how I feel?!
Judau: Whoa there, Bellri! Just because you know what's up doesn't mean you can drop a bomb like that!
Kamille: Judau! Don't make things worse!
  • Banjo jumps onto Purple's battleship and stated that he was solely there just to taunt Purple... and nothing less. Basically, Banjo takes the meme "I came here to laugh at you." literally and shoves it to Purple's face. Char/Quattro would be proud.
    • At the end of the scenario, Toraoh pulled a Heel–Face Turn and Wataru promised that the girls of X-Cross are all nice girls. When he arrived... he's met with Ciela, Relena and Sally scolding him for being a bad boy, Aida, Kallen, Grandis, Ange (complete with her Slasher Smile) and Jill about to 'discipline' him (and Ange even suggests Corporal Punishment). When Toraoh complains about it, Salamandinay explains that the X-Cross girls are nice... for well-behaving boys like Wataru, that is.
  • While Embryo's final roasting might not be as severe as in the last game, there is a gem when confronting him with Ange, in which Tusk makes a cheering to finish off Embryo that embarrasses Ange, but not about something you expect out of him.
Tusk: Ange! Finish that emperor and his new clothes!
Ange: Oh my God, don't even give me the mental image of that dipwad being naked! Ugh!

DLC Scenarios

  • In the "Ryujinmaru's Secret" DLC stage, Ryujinmaru pulls out a whole lot of tank puns. All of which are voiced.
  • The hilarious cat burglar showdown between Catherine and Grandis in the "Beautiful Blue Water" DLC.
Sanson: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
    Hanson: I'm afraid so...
    Sanson: Those two...
Hanson: ...are two of a kind.
  • Magical Girl Salia is back! Much to the horror of Lelouch and Shou (Lelouch deserves a special mention: The charismatic rebel leader just makes the perfect "What the fuck is that thing in front of me!?" face). And the best part? Iori/Amari is asked to make all of her costumes!
    • After Lelouch made that face, the music started getting ominous. He, Shou and the player can definitely feel this phrase coming in their minds: "Why do I suddenly hear boss music?"
    • The Cross Ange team's reaction to Iori/Amari's bluffs on the whole scenario to cover up Salia's hobby come with a few laughs as well. For Amari, she implies she wanted to see someone wearing such clothing and forced Salia to wear it, with Chris saying Amari would probably look better with it. As for Iori, he pretends to get caught in his "prank", and the girls think he has an odd fetish. And for the other guys regarding Iori's response...
Shou: Iori... so you've chosen to sacrifice yourself...
Lelouch: You are truly a man among men...
  • For an obvious target, let's consider the DLC mission "Cafeteria Al-Warth." It starts as a food episode with people comparing the food on each of their worlds. C.C. is almost certainly craving pizza. Ange pulls together a team of chefs and big eaters to go get ingredients so they can actually try each of them out. Where and how does she plan to get them? Invading Misurugi again, what else? This episode is set shortly after the execution scheme, so Ange hardly needs an excuse to make Julio and Sylvia miserable. In fact, Ange's face and her line really sells the hilarity of the situation, with the addition of Lelouch being in the scene with a confused/concerned expression.
    Lelouch: What ARE you thinking?
Ange: The royal family currently consists solely of my brother Julio and my sister Sylvia. And you know what? SCREW them.
    • The two of them are in the middle of a fancy dinner party to show off their decadence in front of their "allies", but need to pull a fast exit so they don't end up assassinated in this filler episode. But all's well that ends well as the cross-dimensional meal ends up a big hit. C.C.'s pizza...well...
  • In the "Princesses of Power" DLC, Donyell enlists Cecily to make Aida into a prim and proper princess. Who then decides to call Ange, who is a former princess herself. Except Ange has, let's just say, "different" ideas on how to be a princess.
  • At the end of the "Another Dream Battle" DLC, Spero/Hopes attempts to reward everyone by giving them their favourite treats. However, the treats end up being tasteless as Spero/Hopes has no sense of taste. Thankfully, Spero/Hopes is able to rectify this by the end of "The Last Dream Battle" DLC.
  • In the "Cleaning Up Space" DLC, Bellri asks for a ceasefire against the enemies to focus fire on the Muganns with Mask trying to one up him by claiming that he's gonna be better than Bellri. After the fight, Bellri asks the enemy crew to help him out in cleaning up space and Mask still wants to one up Bellri in his cleaning skills.
  • Ladies and gentlemen, the "Miss X-Cross" Pageant!
    • In Amari's scenario, the women of X-Cross complain about how Amari is more popular with the guys before it devolves into a massive argument over who is better. After everyone makes peace at the end of the scenario, Spero/Hopes lets slip that he considers Amari to be the true Miss X-Cross, attracting the vengeful contestants.
    • In Iori's scenario, the girls overhear Wataru and Shibaraku needling Iori about his crush on Amari, pointing out that there's quite a few other women in X-Cross and asking who his second choice is. It quickly falls into the same argument. After the fighting is over, they realize that they never heard Iori's answer and corner him to demand it.
      • In both scenarios, Amari gets roped into the pageant by Salia, who wants to force her to help out with her "Pretty Salian" cosplay.
