- Promoted Fanboy: Towards the end of the comic's run, restrictions on the kinds of authors who could write for it were loosened, allowing less experienced but big-name fans the opportunity to write for the series. This included author Nathan P. Butler, known for his giant Star Wars Timeline Gold project in the fandom, who wrote the story "Equals & Opposites" for Issue #21.
- What Could Have Been: For the aforementioned "Equals & Opposites", Kyle was supposed to defeat the Vong by pulling out Yun's old lightsaber, but this never made it past the writing stage when Butler realized that the artist probably couldn't hide a second lightsaber for that long through the short.
