Despite the critical acclaim for his take on the Hulk, Bennett inserted antisemitic artwork into the pages of the aforementioned issue. This, combined with other art-related controversies from recent years, destroyed his working relationship with Ewing and Marvel cut ties with him once Immortal Hulk had concluded.
