- Follow the Leader: This series would probably never have been made if Guardian and especially The Untamed, also adaptations of danmei novels, hadn't become so popular.
- Release Date Change: First the series was supposed to air on 8 April 2021. Then it was postponed to 15 April. Then it was postponed yet again. The next rumoured air date was in August. August came and went without it airing. A later rumour suggested October 2022, which also came and went. Thanks to the government crackdown on danmei adaptations it's now uncertain if the series will air at all.
- The Shelf of Movie Languishment: Is currently stuck on the shelf due to Executive Meddling on a governmental level.
