Go To

  • Acting for Two: Hirofumi Fukuzawa, who plays Gamera, also appears as a man who gets blown away from a telephone booth during Gamera's attack.
  • Bad Export for You: The Mill Creek Blu-ray release of the film had subtitles so bad (they were either delayed and didn’t sync up properly with the audio or just didn’t pop up at all) that the company issued a disc replacement setup after it was released.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Kyle Jones not only returned to direct ADV's English dub, but he also played minor roles in said dub.
  • Looping Lines: Not only did Ai Maeda play Ayana in the film, but she also redubbed her sister Aki's lines during her character's 1995 flashbacks.
  • The Other Darrin: Hirofumi Fukuzawa becomes the fourth actor to play Gamera in the Heisei series.
  • Real-Life Relative: Ai Maeda's younger sister Aki Maeda plays a younger Ayana during the character's 1995 flashbacks.
  • What Could Have Been: There was supposed to be an after-credits scene that would've shown the Earth in an apocalyptic state. Nothing would've been left instead of two organisms: the Gyaos hoard, and Gamera, still fending them off till his last breath. Kaneko scrapped it because it didn't feel right to him.
  • You Look Familiar: Akira Ohashi previously played Gamera in Attack of Legion. Here, he plays Iris, this film's main antagonist.
