• What Could Have Been:
  • Barugon originally had a design similar to his Showa design, with an appearance similar to a Komodo Dragon and realistic-looking chameleon eyes. But the design was later changed to a design similar to both his Showa design and his 2003 manga-only Heisei design, with extra rows of spikes running down the length of his body.
  • The Virasians and the Zigrans from Gamera Vs. Viras and Gamera Vs. Zigra were originally going to appear as antagonists, but they were eventually replaced by the Broomarks.
  • Viras and Zigra were originally going to be the leaders of their own races and both would end up with different fates, Viras' being getting arrested after surviving his defeat, and Zigra's being that he would reform and become a part of the police force. This was eventually scrapped.
  • Guiron originally had an appearance similar to a theropod dinosaur, particularly the Giganotosaurus from Jurassic World Dominion. The reason for this was that the Giganotosaurus' eyes looked similar in shape to Guiron's. This design was eventually changed into another design more akin to his Showa design.
  • Zigra originally had a design similar to his Showa design, but it was later changed to make him appear more cybernetic. His current redesign will look similar to both his Showa design and his Trendmaster toy, with heavy inspiration from Garchomp, Gigan, and Kiryu.
  • Ghaerox was originally going to have evolutionary stages, the first one appearing similar to a viperfish, the second one resembling an amphibious piranha, the third one resembling an anglerfish, the fourth and final one resembling a sea serpent with arms. This was eventually changed into a design akin to his original design, with heavily influence from the monkfish, a type of anglerfish that can be found on the seabed near reefs or shipwrecks.
