Trivia / Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby

• Approval of God: TrainerDerek, the original creator of the song "Hypno's Lullaby", has played the mod and enjoyed it greatly.
• Content Leak:
  • One of the developers anonymously leaked multiple songs ("Brimstone", "Lost Cause", a new version of "Left Unchecked", and "Pasta Night") onto /funkg/, the dedicated 4chan board for FNF.
  • A test build was leaked out on /funkg/ that contains what's likely the entirety of the mod's soundtrack, with only a handful of assets not fully implemented yet.
• Creator's Favorite: Banbuds revealed in a QNA that "Death Toll" is his favorite song from the V2 update.
• Descended Creator: Hypno in "Safety Lullaby" and Gold are voiced by Banbuds himself. He also provided the voice samples for Girlfriend in both of Hypno's songs.
• Development Gag: Following the release of V1, Banbuds posted a sketch of Gold's poses shows that his up pose would've indicated that him having the Unown within him would be literal; he would've had his mouth stuffed full of their eyes when he opened it. This concept was later reutilized in his second set of poses during the second part of "Monochrome".
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Version 2.0 initially had a different director until Banbuds had to take back over due to the person he handed the mod off to, Revie_03, being accused of grooming two minors and emotionally abusing the team behind the Vs Sonic.exe mod while she was in charge of leading development.
• Trolling Creator:
  • Saster, composer of "Amusia", has jokingly claimed on Twitter that DISABLED is his canonical daughter.
  • If one had downloaded a leaked build of the mod and then tried to download the official release, they would be stuck with a bunch of meme songs (one of which, named "Sansno", just outright repeats forever).
• What Could Have Been: Due to V2 being cancelled just before release, there's quite a bit of content left out of the final game.
  • At the end of "Insomnia", Silver would've broken the skin covering his mouth, woken his Feraligatr, and sent it to attack Boyfriend.
  • Those who had downloaded leaked builds of the game before release would be left with joke songs and videos mocking them for downloading the leaked versions.
  • Lord X was supposed to get redesigned just like MX, but his new sprites weren't finished in time. The sprites can be viewed here.
  • "Purin" would've had much, much more content in it, being described as "basically a live action story with assets." These include Pico being sung asleep, Purin facing the camera, Pico appearing as a ghost, and several other horrifying Pokemon appearing.
  • "Shitno" was going to have a mechanic where Shinto would mess up with the game's sprites, and by the end of the song, the console shut down from the mechanic's overload, resulting in both her and Grey being killed.
  • There was a list of potential opponents for a theoretical V3 screenshotted and posted onto Banbuds' Twitter following the cancellation/release of V2, including the Unown King, "Pokemon Black" (presumably referring to Pokemon Creepy Black), a Hex Maniac (whom Banbuds has stated the team refused to give bigger boobs), Misfortune.gb, various Dark and Ghost-typed Pokémon such as Guzzlord and Darkrai and oddly, Pokémon Rusty. Additionally, the title of the theoretical V3 being "Fear of the Unown" implies it would have been focused on the Unown, rather than Hypno, had it gone into development.
• Word of God: Banbuds and the rest of the mod team have confirmed a few bits of lore around the main week on Twitter.
  • Hypno successfully kidnaps Girlfriend at the end of "Left Unchecked", and has already gotten Boyfriend before the events of the mod.
  • The reason Girlfriend's stance is so unusual in the mod is because she's slowly getting hypnotized throughout the week, fully succumbing to it after "Left Unchecked".
  • Hypno focused all of his psychic energy into his pendulum before "Left Unchecked", which is what caused his physical body to give out and undergo its severe Body Horror.
  • Gold feels no animosity towards BF, and in fact doesn't feel much of anything since he's mostly a husk being controlled by the Unown.
  • While Freakachu is not responsible for Red's Body Horror (that's entirely on the cold), he did maim Blake at the end of the song and he may be responsible for the "sudden change in the mod" (he may be invoking Your Mind Makes It Real on Blake, causing Blake to see Red as he was pre-Body Horror, and dropping the glamour he put on Red when Red sends him out).
