Trivia / Eiyuu Senki: The World Conquest

Go To

  • No Export for You: Despite the PC and PS3 versions for The World Conquest both having received an English localisation, the Vita version and the PS3 DLC characters are still exclusive to Japan only, causing players in the west to miss out on extra characters such as Michelangelo and Hiraga Gennai, with other related products such as the official art books and strategy guides only became available to regions outside of Japan in late 2017, years after their initial release in the home country.
    • Bad Export for You: To add insult to injury, the Vita version contains both new and updated CGs taken from the PS3 version, which were previously inferior in quality compared to the original CGs from the PC version, but are now re-worked to the standard of the latter. Needless to say, western players don't get to see these either.
      • Eiyuu Senki: War Wonder, the mobile spin-off title which greatly expands the cast and combat system, was released in Japan in 2018. International versions for it did eventually come out on various platforms, however content updates for the localized versions would always be weeks if not months behind the Japanese version, until updates just altogether stopped coming to localized platforms, permanently denying the international playerbase the chance to experience some of the later content. With the game's unceremonious shutdown in March 2022, and the unclear state of the upcoming offline remake, it's doubtful that said content will be officially made available for international audiences.
      • The international versions were also heavily censored on platforms such as iOS and Google Play, which replaced some of the more risque character sprites with badly photoshopped versions that look awful. Clearly Tenco themselves were not happy about the heavy-handed censorship either note , as they've tucked this little gem into the final event for the Japanese version:
Tai Gong Wang: (written in English, as the Rubi for the Japanese dialogue)
Maybe next time, there will be no mystery regulation by the platform.
We hope don't have to chop up our art.
